Since when have they in the past? They are probably putting a new horse in the game is all. I mean they do release more horses then bugs they fix.

I bet they're introducing a UI mod that makes the LOTRO Store button 3/4 of your active window.

It could have just been scheduled internally originally with no intent for it to impact the login servers?

Yep, it's only 10:04am Eastern right now...

I got to log in a couple of minutes ago but before the character select stage it said it couldn't find the account information. now when I log in it says there is no account associated with my user name. I'm going out on a limb and suggesting something ain't right in Turbine-land.

Now no problem getting past the auth-server, can get past the world queue sometimes (other times World Queue Error #50000), ...not consistently getting to character select.

"General Error accessing your account information. Try again later and contact tech support if the problem persists"

Fortunately I understand error messages, there's nothing quite so disconcerting as 'This account does not have an active lotro subscription' ;)

this downtime was not planned, the message about the "planned" downtime came up roughly 30 minutes after the fact.

We are bringing back up the login servers now, as you can see by logging into the forums. Things may be slightly wonky as everything comes back up, but it should be resolved by the time it's all online. I'll let you all know when that is.

I have to admit, that was the fastest I've gotten in-game after getting past the world-Queue in quite some time... hopefully the maintenance helped!

..Still.. please tell us IN Advance.. ; I hear the DDO folks had notice, but we didnt until the maintenance was already started.

Nice to see you're maintaining the forums while some of the other regulars are off to E3.
