So if Transfers are just not coming up in the transfer box that means you probably just missed your chance of transferring for this window? How sloppy lmao.

So..i have tested a couple of my accounts..
If you are a free to play member you can transfer with no problem, however if you are Subscription/VIP player you can not. The world box just show's blank..
So are transfers just limited to free to play members right now?
If that's the case ill just unsubscribe right now & not bother re-subscribing since I have everything unlocked anyways. So i can transfer
Read my post, do you have more than one subscription inside of your one account? Not subscription as in a recurring VIP thing, but like multiple accounts inside of your account.
There is an inactive character (it's been over a year and a half) on World A --
And, that name is taken on every single other world -- but never logged in. (shows, that character cannot be added, on the friend list)
So, I created a character on World B, with the name of an active alt of mine on World A, knowing I would get the Name-1 and a rename token. However, when I try to rename that character to the name of the inactive character, it says it's already taken and to try something else.
Does this mean that ONLY those characters you can actually create on other worlds will usurp inactive names on your world?

I have a creep I wanted to rename on one of the servers, and the name I wanted belongs to someone VERY inactive. A level 75 Warg..so 3 years at least. Anyway, it won't let me choose the name. I was made aware that people with accounts a year or more inactive, I was able to acquire the name. Does that no longer apply or is it bugged? Thanks.
I think the usurping of names of characters not logged in for more than a year only works if you are transferring in with the same name. You cannot try to rename yourself, it has to be part of the copy.
So let's say a character named Doodlybug is transferring from Server1 to Server2 and there's been a Doodlybug inactive on Server2 for more than a year. The Doodlybug being transferred from Server1 to Server2 will usurp the name of Doodlybug on on Server2 and the Doodlybug on Server2 that was inactive will be renamed to Doodlybug-1.
If you are trying to rename a character that has been freshly copied to Server2 from Server1 it won't work and you can't usurp the name. What you could do now is create a trash character on Server1 with your old name then transfer that and usurp the name. Then delete that character and use your rename token.
I would do that if Turbine hadn't removed the proxy configuration options from the game client with the launch of Rohan... So no more shop, tickets or bug report access because of that without reconfiguration of my operating system. All my bug reports on this topic (via web page) have been ignored so far.
My account has a email of its own bind to each account..so their is no conflicts.
So it is just set to let free to play members transfer but subscription players cannot.
You may not rename to a name in use. If you transfer a character, and it has a name conflict, you get -1 suffix and free rename to something else, unless that character hasn't been active in the past year, in which case they get the suffix and free rename.
If you transfer a character with the same name to that server, they'll get a -1 suffix if they haven't been active in the past year and a free rename in the alert box, but you may not rename to a currently existing name.
1. The new naming over-rides only apply upon transfer and do not apply to re-naming tokens. Re-name tokens still have the same rules they have always had, they can not over-ride the name of another character on the world, regardless of activity. There are a number of issues that would be created were we to change that.
2. The "No worlds in the transfer screen" bug is based on a subscription conflict, but it is not a problem with all VIPs, all Premium, all Free, etc.
3. This is just a testing phase that we are doing right now. If you are not able to transfer in this window, you will have more opportunities to do so regardless of what server or region you might be in, for free, in the near future.
Well I canceled my membership and still couldnt move..I been trying to move for over a month now even trying to BUY the tokens to move.. My other accounts moved no problem but my main account i play refuses to.. So i guess i won't be renewing my subscription and probaly won't play for awhile then...
I have 1 toon on the server i play the most now.. i think if you already have 1 toon on the server your on you should be able to move your other toon's specially since it's on 1 account considering you can only log in with 1 account between your toon's on that account.
Obviously this really depends on how they implement it. 2 different rough interpretations could be made from the statements:
1. I have a character on Landy, decide to move to BW, discover I don't like it, and would rather move back to Landy. All allowable, but at this point the character can no longer be moved for free.
2. I have a character on Landy, decide to move to BW, discover I don't like it, and move back to landy. At this point, I can go try out crick for free, but can no longer move back to Landy once I've left.
To me, something like the second seems quite reasonable and favorable to players, while the first option is quite limiting. As a basic premise, people should be able to go to every surviving server once, then have 1 final decision. I'd imagine the vast majority of players will move in lockstep with their friends and kinnies, so the 'extra' free moves won't be used by a ton of people, but the limitation on total times you can move, particularly to one server, would avoid the fringe abuse that was already highlighted in the brief EU xfers session that doubtlessly bogged down the system (I heard of one person who did enough xfers back and forth to have a name with -28 at the end for example).
This is how I "tested" a naming conflict, and successfully claimed my main's name. (which is the only name I cared about, the rest can change).
I have a character on Riddermark. Let's call him "Main". I have chosen Arkenstone as the target server for my "Main".
On Arkenstone, there already WAS a "Main", with a last logon date some time in September.
Since I was not sure whether that September date was 1 year ago, or LONGER than 1 year ago as the year isn't listed.... (can this be adjusted, by the way, Vyvyanne, in friends list?)
....this is how I solved it:
1) Created a character on Crickhollow called "Main" - the name was available there. Leveled it to 8 and out of the intro just to be sure.
2) Today, transfer that character called "Main" from Crickhollow to Arkenstone.
3) Found out that the inactive "Main" was inactive for longer than 1 year, as my level 8 "Main" was able to claim "Main" and the inactive character is now named "Main-1".
4) Now I have a character called "Main" on Arkenstone, so I successfully reserved the name.
5) When Riddermark can transfer, I can delete "Main" and transfer my real "Main" on to Arkenstone.
Name problem solved.
I am planning to do this with some other names tonight, only as a test I will leave them in the intro, I just need to find a server where I can make them. I might make names for some of my kinnies that I know might want names, but haven't logged on for a few days.... just to be nice and reserve them for them. :D
What is meant by "in the near future"? Do you mean the October to November time frame that you mentioned in the original announcement, or are there plans to give us a chance to transfer between the remaining worlds sooner than that after the 48 hour time frame we have now ends? I'd be really depressed if I missed out on the chance to transfer now due to the blank "Your Worlds" list bug and had to wait any more than a couple of weeks.
You can't take the name of an inactive person with the rename credit, it HAS to be a transfer.
To get around that, you can (right now anyways) do the following:
1) create a creep on another server (of the 5 remaining) with the name you WANT. Lets call him "NameIWant"
2) transfer that creep to the server that the level 75 creep is on with the name you WANT.
3) if goes well, your new baby creep now has the name "NameIWant", and the level 75 creep is renamed "NameIWant-1".
4) delete the baby creep, rename your main creep to the name you want.
If in option 4 you do not want to PAY for the rename, do the following instead of step 4:
1) move your main creep with name "Currentcreepname" off of that server to another.
1a) (If you move and you get renamed to "Currentcreepname-1" on that server, rename the creep to something you CAN create in step 2 on the original server)
2) create a new creep on the original server with the name of the CURRENT creep name.
3) now you have a baby creep with the name you WANT, and a baby creep with the name you HAVE.
4) transfer your main creep BACK to the server, it will now become "Currentcreepname-1", with a rename credit.
5) delete the baby creep with the name you WANT.
6) rename you "Currentcreep-1" into "NameIWant".
7) delete the other baby creep.
Done. :D
Are you sure that you didn't run into this issue?
