Wow, you made those shoulders look awesome, which is an achievement. Kudos

That is the Lesser Secret of the West gloves for Burglars (purchasable with Medallions of the North-Men), the Lore-skeeker's Shoes for Lore-masters from Durchest's non-challenge chest in Barad Guldur, and the Shoulders, Trousers, and Robe of the Wayfaring Poet for Minstrels (the level 65 purple set from the Ettenmoors) which can be purchased with Chieftain's Brooches, Tyrants Crests, and Brilliant Stones. All of it is dyed Ranger Green.
I'm glad you liked the outfit! I do, too. ^_^

There You have it, proof that taste is very different and personal.
I think most boots stick out and looks redicolous. Especially on elves and most shoulders are waaay over-sized like 80's shoulder puffs. Maybe they think we all have some inferiority complex and want to look like bouncers/doormen. :p
I remember people even sticking shoulder puffs in their jeans-shirts. Oh my how taste-less the 80's was and horrible to live through (although I was at that age where I'm NOT supposed to be grumpy, yet, about the time I live in and jump on and follow every hype/trend like a slave, still I never really liked it as I lived through it) but now some reminize over it and say it was so great.
80's brough Dallas, Dynasty and Falcon Crest and also cheap VHS cam-corder made TV-Shows and movies, as it was cheaper than using real film. Shoulder puffs, Having Your suit jacket sleeves folded up with hideous inside lining cloth/patterns, slim/narrow leather kneck ties, often in colours like red. Men started wearing make-up. Not to mention Yuppies.
It was a pain being a DJ through the 80's with the requests You got for cr@p hits like "Say, Say, Say" or "I Just Called To Say I Love You" etc.
A very plastic and shallow decade, if You ask me.
Still some now say it was a great decade. Just like it was always sunny when being a child, he he he !!!
Well, not all was bad during the 80's. The later half of the 80's acctually brought out some great music, artists and groups. Some had been around for long but finally got the recognition they deserved. Oh a bit off topic there.
As I said taste is very different and personal.
I'm glad You like the boots and shoulder puffs. :)
To stay OT for a second, this is mostly due to the fact that it's been far, FAR worse ever since (as for popular trends). Thankfully, the intert00bs came along to show those who care to look that the good stuff is out there, and also allowed facility to connect with others who know.. lol
~ MRNot (who still greatly enjoys some music that was originally composed & released in the 80's (though not the titles or genre you dropped), as well as new music that some people claim sounds "too dated" or (80's-ish), cannot stand MOST popular music since, but really doesn't give a d@mn!)
Although the shoulder pads are big, I think it's works well due to sleekness of the overall look. Everyone has their own style but one fashion faux pas, I see a lot of is mixing heavy armor styles (dwarven with elven style armor) which doesnt seem to look right. Each style has lines and edges that dont end up of blending well when mixed. You would think it would be possible to mix elven armor but even that doesnt work out right, although it does rarely work!
An example would be SoA elven armor vs Lothlorien elven armor. You can see Lothlorien armor is more round and curvy vs the jaggedness of SoA elven armor. It's interesting to note the different art styles and theme per content armor set.
Looking through this thread reminds me that I really should look at armour more closely before merrily selling it off once my characters have 'outgrown' it's usefulness!
Some great outfits here, really inspiring, but I wish there were more suitable off duty/casual wear for female characters. If anyone has put together some good outfits with dresses or robes, I'd love to see them. A couple of my females would never be seen in trousers or leggings.
And Finally my hunter, in his battle outfit :p

What headpiece is that? Or any like it plz.
Many of mine are girly-girls as well. There are some good cosmetics during festivals (the summer sundress looks great dyed navy, it comes out as a denim-blue), and there are quite a few dresses at the skirmish vendor worth your while.
Photo barrage follows, a few with elves, humans, and hobbits, some of them wearing the same dresses and cloaks just so you can see how they wear on different races. I don't have great graphics, but with luck the next few posts will give you an idea, at least.

For the person who asked about girly LoTRO clothes: This is just the beginning, there's plenty more, don't worry! I just wanted to give you a sample, hope you enjoyed, and I'm sure you'll find lots of wonderful girly clothes for your toons - apologies if you have all the ones I've shown already.
And thanks to everyone else for putting up with the pic spam!
FIN
It was me that asked and I have all those outfits already. :D
I'm happy to see more examples, though, but there isn't much of a chance to mix and match, apart from with robes. It's a shame that skirts weren't commonly available in the Middle Ages/Earth.
Just want to make sure all the RKs know that satchels are now dyeable and we are no longer limited to the terrible teal sack. I am including a color chart of a standard legendary satchel dyed in all currently available hues. Toss one in your wardrobe (yes, wardrobe accepts legendary satchels) and have a ball. :D
