Hi I am currently a level 42 champ (race of man) I play on crickhollow, my champs name is Buromier, I live in NY so my time zone is EST. I am looking for a good kinship with mature ppl. To help out w fellowship quests, instances, and get into some raids. Im currently building up my champs virtues (some are at 10) and doing the epic quests but want to experience all of middle earth. I like to help others as well, I usually play around 10-20 hrs a week so I would like an active kinship with various levels. I enjoy working with others and think the game is more fun when you are playing with others. I have no problems working in a group. As a RK it doesnt matter to me if im healing or dps. I kind of enjoy the healing aspects. I have no problems helping others with quests or tasks, even if there is no benefit to me. I have been helped in game by a lot of people and I feel I should pass on the good will. I am an experienced player but I can always learn more. I havent done much in Enttemoors but I would like to. I do have vent and can do voice chat if needed.

What kind of Kinship am I looking for? An active one. I would like to join a group that has players on regularly and is open to all kinds of play. I would hope for a Kin that takes the game seriously but is also light hearted. Members that are willing to help others is always a plus. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a very experienced MMO player who has experienced top tier raiding in every MMO I've played (except Rift and Aion, I hated them). That being said, I kinda wanna get away from the competitiveness that is WoW raiding. The entire "leetness" issue in so many games I've played is starting to burn me out. I'm looking for a fresh start in a new game with content I haven't seen in years.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: One thing a guild I used to be in for another game had a "old school adventure group" team. Six people rolled new character of different classes and agreed to be online at the same time to play those characters through dungeons and content. That would be something I could get into if any guilds are doing that now. Other than that, I'm just looking for a guild with no drama and mature players to teach me the ropes and to try my hand at raiding in LOTRO.

I used to be really into raiding, but took a long break from the game (about 6 months) after F2P launched due to lack of content. When I returned, my kin had all migrated to Rift. However, I still enjoy LOTRO and want to stay here. I used to play every day, but now usually only play on the weekends between 10AM-8PM EST. I haven't been able to find a lot of groups for things because groups are usually just starting to form up when I'm logging off.

It's very important to me that the people I play with pay attention and try to improve their characters and learn from their mistakes. I'm looking for people who are comfortable playing their classes and able to adapt to changing situations.

My husband also plays, and he has multiple level-capped characters as well. Besides my playtimes, he also plays late-night EST.

I started out in Ultima Online many years ago. I have regularly played Earth and Beyond (RIP), Jumpgate, Star Wars Galaxies, Planetside, Everquest II, Eve Online, and World of Warcraft; I have tried a few others on a trial basis but none of them have really captured my attention like LOTRO has. I am now a VIP subscriber to LOTRO.

Why kinships should be interested in you:

I am a mature person and GLBT-friendly. I play daily, mostly between 10:30PM and 6:00AM, sometimes earlier or later; I am on at other times throughout the day as my work/school schedule permits. I enjoy helping others with quests or crafting needs; I don't mind sharing resources as I am able to do so. If you need a crafted item and supply the materials, I don't expect any payment other than professional courtesy should I require an item that can be crafted by yourself or an alt. I believe in paying it forward with new players since we were all newbies at one time or another (I still am when it comes to LOTRO). I am not opposed to answering questions if I am able to do so, nor will I respond to one in a sarcastic manner, regardless of its complexity or lack thereof.

What kind of kinship you are looking for:

I expect the same maturity and characteristics of all kinship members as I outlined in the question above. I would like to participate in RP and world RP events, though I do not think I am ready for a full-on RP kinship. Since my play hours are outside of the typical 9-to-5 working player, an English-speaking European or Australian kinship may be a better fit for my participation in organized kinship events; LOTRO, however, remains a "game" for me and not a full-time job! :) Please keep that in mind should you ask me to take on kinship responsibilities (other than the invitation of new members or the occasional planning of an event) once we get to know one another better.

Hey all, longtime WoW endgame player looking to get into LOTRO. My non-MMO commitment have gotten too big that the cost of WoW just isn't worth it, especially when an excellent free alternative is right there.

So, I don't have a lot of time to play, and the time I have is 100% on weekday afternoons. I will be a slow leveler, but eventually I'd like to get into endgame content (do you call it raiding in lotro?)

I also was my guild's raid leader before I left WoW.

(This one is very important for recruiters): Looking for a guild with high competence, friendliness, helpfulness, loyalty, maturity, laid back, good sense of humor, organization, end-game capability, and leadership (rules, fair loot distribution, and I'm OK with some amount of favoritism for the hardcore people that are always there when you need them and make consistency possible). I'd like little to no drama, selfishness, uptightness, bossiness (some bossiness is needed sometimes for some people and I'm OK with that...but, there is usually a better way to "ask" to get something done how you want it), etc.


If you are not doing current end game content, then I'm not interested. If you are not willing to help me get to current end game content, then I'm not interested.

A little more of what I'm looking for below...

I'm new to LotRO and looking for suggestions for a good server and guild to join.

I am coming from WoW after a lengthy time off. I'd prefer/request most of the following...

-average-slightly high population server

-more freeps than creeps...or at least fairly even (I played alliance on a server that was 80%horde...that wasn't very fun for me)

-I'm not particularly interested in roleplay

-I like to raid, so I would like a guild that knows what it's doing/can beat end-game content (my guild on WoW had an issue with rarely having enough people showing up, let alone geared enough people show up for raids...I missed out on a lot of progression)

-I'd like a guild that has capable/knowledgeable players that are willing to teach newer players how best to min/max a particular class for a particular purpose (this kind of ties in to the previous point...I want to be the best eventually of course, but it would be awesome to have a guild full of people who are all striving towards that goal and are willing to help others who want the help)

-I'd like either a large guild or an extremely dedicated guild so we always have enough people to raid with (good organization/scheduling, fair loot distribution, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable)

-this isn't a super important want, but...it would be nice to have people in guild who have mastered their professions (jeweler, blacksmith, tailor, etc.) who can help gear you up for cheap

-nice enough people to help you level when they aren't doing anything important (I don't necessarily mean giving runs...although that's a plus...I mean like killing a final boss from a big questline or something that would be a big help to you...I guess I just mean helpful and friendly in general, not a go way out of your way to help...just somewhat out of your way if it isn't a huge inconvenience)

MMO games you’ve played: I started to play Wow right after beta and quitted 1,5 years ago. I tried LOTRO before and thought I was a nice game as well, but to start another MMO and pay for two games seemed a bit much. After all those years I got bored with Wow but not bored with MMOs. Because I didn’t have time to play every day it felt it was a bit of a waste to play a game and pay for it each month. When LOTRO became F2P I was thrilled, because now I can play a nice game without paying too much if I have little time. In a few months I got more time to play, until then I can see if this game fits me and go VIP later on.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): one that is online when I tend to be (1900-2200 GMT). One that does instances at my sort of level. Not much point being in a kinship that is all lvl65 raiders and PVMP while I'm struggling through the lower levels. At some point I'm going to start crafting which I have largely ignored up to now so a kinship that will help me with that would be good too. Most important thing for me tho is being able to find a bunch of players to do all those troublesome fellowship quests with as I get so frustrated running around areas with no-one in sight to team up with.

In game: PvE experienced hardcore raider, no time limitations, fond of endgame content and progressive gaming, sufficient knowledge of each class (have leveled up every one of them to at least 40), best at burglar/minstrel, not really a fan of lore and rp, does craft for raid purposes, hates dwarf hunters.

Here's my story shortly. I've been playing since beta. Had no MMO experience previously. Tried different servers, kinships, created hunter, then minstrel, then burglar, all lvl cap, completed every PvE challenge the game had to offer except from OD, had to delete everything 3 months ago because of rl issues (i judged i should stay away from MMOs at that time - i know it sounds weird but i had too much pressure on me with university admission exams and a variety of other matters through which i won't go here). I'm back for a fresh start, willing to power level any character of any race in order to fill a raiding spot of an endgame, pve focused, semi-hardcore or hardcore kinship in any english-speaking non rp server. I'm not searching for a kind kinship to help me quickly level a char by clubbing and providing advice. I'm interested in a well-organised kinship with a friendly environment, serious about its goals, a raiding shelter, so that i won't be walking around once i'm 65 getting wiped to the end of our times with pugs.

I work 4 days on, 4 days off across a 7 day rota, doing 12 hour shifts. I'm in the GMT timezone but even on my days off i prefer raid starts earlier rather than later if possible.. by 22:00 i'm starting to feel tired.

Up till Ost Dunhoth i've been a pretty keen raider, but the guardian set doesn't appeal that much and i don't think my minstrel would be accepted there. I've only been there about half a dozen times and am concerned about my lack of experience.

I've just returned to Middle-Earth after being away for quite some time (last time was just before MoM came out), and even back then I was quite a newbie.
Mostly I enjoy questing and achievement hunting, but due to time constraints I simply do not have the time to log in every day. (my girlfriend would kill me!)

What I am looking for is a social guild (not a dying 8 member F2P guild). I work in the morning till about 3 pm or 4 pm, off Wednesdays and Thursdays available in the afternoon mostly all the time. I have vent and team speak. I'm not new to the game (obviously) and I have a lifetime membership so I'm not going anywhere for a while. I started the game a week after it came out but recently came back from a break and have already pre-ordered ROI.

I keep things light when the group is raiding, questing, etc. in a low stress or minimum concentration required area, but I buckle down easily and am easy to get along with. I am usually the meter my co-workers tend to use when determining if a customer is unreasonable: "If he/she can't get along with me they probably weren't hugged as a child". I like to joke and have a good time but I am interested in end game raiding and pvp. I have much to learn but I do my homework if given a proper leader. I'm not stingy and will pass on gear if there is a need for it or if I have already got something. Finally, I do not complain or whine and I don't like drama.

I am looking for a kinship that is professional and forward moving that has members who strive to do the hardest content but still have the capacity to teach others in order to better the group as a whole. well a lilttle abour myself first I suppose - I'm 41 and ya I know thats like 150+ in dog years and even more prehistoric in gamer years gut what can I say - I'm 18 at heart if that counts for anything....

Gaming experience has mainly been with WoW for that last 7 years - I side track into DDO and EQ2 land every now and then and have accounts in countless other games - my sons are big on the "hey this is coming out soon" so we try alot of stuff when its released....

My playstyle is highly oriented to the roleplay. I've been playing a lot of MMORPG but this is the only one I recommend if you want to do a good RP, even if I've been playing Lotro for about a couple of weeks.

I have no problem with playing in group (Fellowship or Raid), but I'll play my character the way he was meant to be played. I mean, my character is not me, and of course I don't do metagame. I don't use voicecomm(TS, Ventri, Mumble) except when in raid (and only to stay tunned about the commands [wich means I won't talk, but I'll warn my fellows about everything and I'll reply via in-game]). And my character is a little mistrustful about the others. He has a mission, and his letters to Rohan have no answer. He prefers to be on his own, but he has no problem helping others (a good thing to know if you want me in a fellowship/raid RPing).

My character is a rider of the Mark, sent to the North to gather information. He's not me, and I play "almost" always RPing just to be him, to be part of the Middle Earth. So you can't expect from me to be the social guy talking via the Kinship chat [wich doesn't means that I'm not going to talk via the kinship chat sometimes if needed or if you ask me something ;)]. But you can expect from me to read all the letters the officers, friends or other people, send to me via in-game, and to be active in the kinship forum's, if you have one, and the my.lotro forums. I'm not playing just looking for the end game. I'll not be leveling everyday. I'm playing to have a fun (and dark) trip through the Middle Earth, with friends, adventures and that kind of things.

By "casual", I mean that it's not required to raid 24/7 all the time and to be on a super-tight schedule. I've been playing since Moria and I'm only level 62 at this time (sooo close). For kinships like Band of Hope, yes, I am very Christian but I don't force my beliefs onto others and I respect any others as long as they can do likewise for me :)
I recently bought a new gaming headset and I have vent. I play a warden on Landroval. What Kinship am I looking for?

I'm looking for a UK based Kin that focuses on grouped content & the social aspects of a MMORPG. This doesn't mean I only want a casual Kin (Although I do not mind) however I would love to be part of a community where I can play amongst friends whilst experiencing what the game has to offer. Voice comms is also important to me, I enjoy communicating with others when I play.

What can I offer a Kin?

I have a wealth of experience not only in LOTRO but in most major MMORPG's. I pride myself on the fact I play my class to its best and sacrifice my own gain over the groups. I also thoroughly enjoy helping others as I love the Middle-earth, I am more than happy to assist members in Deeds, Quests, Instances & general questions. I have played the game since BETA so I like to think I have quite a solid knowledge of the game.

What other MMO's have I played?

Where do I start! WoW, AoC, Warhammer Online, EVE Online, AION. I have tried pretty much all MMO's on the market but its LOTRO that always drags me back. I have a lifetime subscription that I make full use of.

When do I play?

I work pretty long hours but I usually am available between 18:00 -> 00:00 GMT+1. On weekends & holidays I play considerably more.

What LOTRO experience do I have?

I played from launch all the way through Shadow of Angmar. I raided the Rift obtaining what I believe where the optimal gear setup for both DPS & Tanking on my Champion. I then took a short break before the expansion where I then returned to complete most of Moria's content. As time progressed & Mirkwood surfaced, Real life took over and my play time was very limited. I'm looking to experience ALL the game has to offer with my new Kin.
