Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ellonim - Elven Loremaster/Historian (26)
I'm looking for an active (active, not necessarily large) kinship of role-players. I play often, but at irregular schedules. I am an exploratory and social gamer, so I level rather slowly, but like having people to play with. Not sure what else to include!
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Laurys/Elf/Warden
I'm based in Shanghai and I'm looking for a RP guild with a decent amount of Australian/Oceanic players because it's pretty lonely out there sometimes when I play. I bring plenty of MMO RP experience (UO, DAoC, SWG, AoC) although I might have to brush up my knowledge of the Silmarillion a bit :)
Playstyle - explorer, soloing although I'm looking for group and social events to do with a guild.
I prefer PvE over PvP.
Playtime - 4 - 12 h / week. Sometimes whole weekends. depends on weather/job/ingame activity/etc. Having a good guild around will definitely make me log in more often though.
Please no RP optional guilds. RP medium to heavy desired, but not hardcore to the level where you have to talk fluid Sindarin. An Elven guild would be the non plus ultra, but I guess that's asking for too much given my requirements...
Hope to hear from you soon!
p.s. I just switched from Laurelin/EU because I cannot play there anymore since Codemasters blocks Chinese IPs :(

The game is great, but even more fun with friends, so give us some details about yourself, and an officer of a kinship can contact you if you fit their criteria.
Also, please consider checking out the various threads for Landroval kinships, many kinships are looking to recruit new members.
In your post, please include:
- - Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
- How many hours a week do you play?
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Note to kinship leaders and officers. Please do not post your information in this thread, please contact the person via Private Message.
Thanks!
- Bradwise Stoutheart, Hobbit Guardian (lvl 21)
- Looking for light rp (preferably not in kinchat ((seems confusing to me))), raiding, and pvp. I am not looking for a hardcore raiding kin, but for a casual kin that does do end game content. I enjoy pvping occasionally and sometimes in groups, so I consider a kin that does that as an bonus, but not something I'm looking for specifically.
- I would guess my average playtime in a week is 20-40 hours. I'm at the lower end currently, but will be on the higher end come summer.
- My playstyle?? I enjoy grouping the most, but I'm not opposed to soloing/grinding.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful: Not sure, but I'm perfectly happy with answering any questions anyone might have that contacts me.
- RL: 24, CST, again feel free to ask me anything.
I spent a good amount of time perusing the forums, but most of the interesting kinships I found were not posted in for a long time. Feel free to message me on Bradwise in game, or a PM on these forums.
Thanks in advance for your time!

(I'm not looking avidly, but I'd like to know what my choices are)

- Various other information a kinship may find useful

- Valorael, Rune Keeper elf, currently 44
- RP heck yea (need a heavy RP kin), raiding yea, PvP not so much
- Psht at least 35 at the bare minimum
- Explorer, do every quest with my lvling partner
- I've been in the caun of a few kins before, currently the tur of mine (buuut my partner and I have made our members with our alts....so it's very very new and not active yet...we want to get to 65 before we do anything and will most likely disband it)

1) Ingame name is subject to change. I am currently playing the different classes finding the fit for me.
2) If I find the right guild with good people around my level to explore with, I could see my hours played shooting up over 25-30 hours/week.
3) I love to explore, but also like to get things done while doing them. I am a heavy quester, but also love to group with friends to see all of the content. I have always found finding a likeminded kinship in-game to parallel my interest in this (any other MMO) games.
4) I am looking for a medium-large size kinship, but more important than the size is the character of the kin. I am also recently coming into this game, so I would rather not join a kinship full of level 65s that I won't even see for months. I would much prefer to grow and get to know the people I am kinn'ed with as I play amongst them.
5) I'm 25 years old, out of school and working part-time currently. EST time zone. I am a long time player of MMO games, since the early Ultima Online days, and an avid Tolkien fan. Most of what I would like to express was said in number 4, but to sum up, I am looking for the following in a kin:
- Medium-Large with a good amount of members in the lower levels (Alts are fine as long as they are played consistantly, I would like to level *with* people)
- Light-Medium RP. I'm not very good at RP, but I do love that aspect and would like to try. However, I don't like having Kinship chat completely in-character, and do not want to be forced to be in-character at all times.
- Mature-type guild. The main reason I left my last game (WoW) was the community. I am already thoroughly impressed with the community of LOTRO, and would like to find a Kin that fits well.
Thank you all for your time!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
A young man steps into the Pony. Tall and muscular, he has dark hair and a ragged goatee on his chin. His blue eyes take in the establishment as he walks slowly to the bar. A large two handed sword and a well used bow are slung over his back. His build and facial features, except for the scar that mars one cheek and eyebrow, show his Rohirrim heritage. Indeed, if any in the establishment are from the western end of Rohan, they might recognize his features as those of a regular horse theif from there. Then again, what would a horse theif from Rohan be doing in the Prancing Pony in Bree?
He orders his drink and sets off across the bar. Finding a place near the firepit, he lights a pipe and casually watches the patrons go about their buisness.
****************************** ****************************** ****
(( ooc from here ))
Hello everyone. I am fairly new to the game, as if anyone has seen my previous posts can attest to. I am looking for a kin to join, as I do love this game more than any of the others I've played.
In game name: Athelgar
Class: Champion (( and current skirmish addict ))
Level: 34
Character Personality/History: He is indeed a former horse theif, but that doesn't entirely make him a bad guy. He has no love for the Enemy or his ilk and will fight them with his considerable (in his mind at least) skill. He is a soldier and a horseman. He is cocky and headstrong but also fun loving and adventuresome. His only real goals right now are to not return to Rohan until things have calmed down a bit.
Likes: Roleplaying, having fun, adventure in that order
Dislikes: uncomfortable amounts of drama (the ooc kind) and quiet walks on the beach. Not really that last one, but everyone always puts it in the likes, thought I'd spice things up a bit.
RL Info: I am a paramedic, married and have one three year old son. When I work, I work for 24 hour shifts, so on those days I will not be online. My play time is also limited by my son, as I only play when he's asleep or happens to be at his grandparents house. That being said, I do play as often as I can. This game is a great escape for me from real life stress not to mention it is absolutely beautiful. I am an experianced rp'er having come from table top D&D, to the original SWG, to EQ2, some (but not much) WoW, and CoH/CoV. I like to roleplay. I will admidt my lore knowledge isn't the greatest, but every day I am learning more. The world is amazing and Turbine did a fantastic job of making it feel like I really am in the world Tolkein created.
Thank you all for reading and for you consideration.
P.S. My mother is an english teacher, however I still sometimes slip up. I apologize in advance for any grammatical or spelling errors I have made or will make.
P.P.S. I searched what lore I could find and didn't see anything that said being a horse theif was not allowed. I was looking for something that would cause him to be chased out of Rohan and what better reason than by stealing that which they prize the most. If anyone knows of any way in which this is lore breaking, please let me know and I will amend it.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ello ello. I'm new to the game and will admit that my LOTR lore is a little weak. I'm friendly and a quick learn however. I prefer my drama IC heh. Despite being a little rusty on the goings on in middle earth, I'd really like to find a friendly heavy rp guild that loves story immersion, but is patient and easy going enough to tolerate my newness as I continue to take my time exploring and enjoying the game.
In game name: Brieanna
Race: Hobbit
Class: Hunter
Level: 29
Character Personality/History: Brieanna has a positive outlook and is quick to offer a smile or helping hand, however she has a bullheaded independent streak prefers to keep her thoughts to herself (and is generally grateful when others opt to do the same). Intelligent, but only moderately refined, she's presently doing odd jobs about Bree land to make ends meet. (I'll likely tailor her story to suit the guild)
RL Info: I'm a 24 year old art student with a hectic schedule. I love rping but ultimately my rl takes priority. I still love to log into and contribute to a great community of players. :)
Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings Landroval,
I am looking to join an active mature, casual RP guild, with an emphasis on fun and team building. Basically looking for a new in-game family :) I'm somewhat familiar with the Middle Earth lore, I read the Hobbit in High School. But definitely not hardcore, though willing to learn as I go. Middle Earth was the only other place I'd rather be tied with the Star Wars Universe. I admit I'm really enjoying LOTRO. I'm back from launch. So really the only thing left is finding a new group of friends to learn from, team-build with, and to explore what Middle Earth has to offer. Though new to LOTRO, I'm not new to the MMO scene. I've played most of the popular games.. WoW, SWG, Aion, Guild Wars, so on and so forth. I am an East Coast player, but I tend to be a night owl. I work Full-time, and usually game nightly. In closing, I look forward to being a loyal contributing member of one of Landroval's fine kinships. Please feel free to contact in-game regarding any further questions
Characters:
Tohko Level 11: Hobbit Burglar
Jaesan Level 14: Elven Lore Master
I also have a RL friend who also looking to join a kinship, but doesn't frequent the forums.
Pixleah Level 14: Elven Hunter

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Jeejayelar
Race:Man
Class: Lore-Master
Level: 10
I am interested in all aspects of the game, though PvP to a lesser extent, as monster play isn't very appealing to me at the moment.
My play time isn't always the same, but I will play quite a bit.
My playstyle can be different depending on my mood. I might wanna explore, group with people, solo, grind out different things (like the 90 spiders near Archet to get the Spider-Foe title, and Honor trait), it's all up in the air.
I don't know how into RP I would be, as I've never really had a chance to get into it. It might be fun, though - so you can message me if you wanna try and convert me. All in all, I'm looking for people that like to have fun without a whole lot of drama.
I'm a firm believer that a game brings players in, but a great guild is what keeps you logging in... even during the boring times. :P
Also for that optional real life stuff that was suggested: I'm a 25 year old guy, I'm just awesome, I'm in the Atlantic time zone, so an hour ahead of EST.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
IGN: Celty
Race: Man
Class: Captain
Lvl: 25
I do not RP, but I'm fine with those who do so as long as it isn't required then that's fine. I do plan on raiding and PvMP when I hit the cap.
I play at least 30+ hours a week, often more and rarely less. Depends on my workload for the week.
Playstyle varies, but most of the time I'll be questing and trying to level. I usually just explore as I go along.
I also tend to be the 'quiet type', but that doesn't last long once I start to feel comfortable lol.
I've played countless other MMOs so I know my way around (WoW, EVE, SotNW, Allods, Champions, Guild Wars, etc etc). I'm looking for a kin because, like the poster above me, I believe thats what keeps you logging into an MMO no matter what.
everything else:
Male, 19, comp sci major currently in college, huge video game fan, huge anime fan. EST time zone.
If there's anything you wanna know, feel free to send me a message here or in game! Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Lannos, Man, Burglar (but not a criminally oriented one), level 20 (but not for long)
- Roleplayer, casual player, love events and gatherings. Recently left Nimrodel, it's a ghost town.
- I usually play an hour per night a couple of nights a week, then on the weekends I play with my kids who would be in the Kinship too. Must be family friendly Kinship.
- Playstyle: roleplayer, explorer, rescuer (saving those I see that need help), group and solo.
- I enjoy the crafting aspects of the game, love Professor Tolkkein's lore.
- RL information: Age 46, Time Zone: EST, Own my own business, a successful martial art's school and am kept very busy with that - www.awmaa.com.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name ingame: Tanny
Level 17
Explorer
Age: 36
Location: Tennessee (Central time)
Playstyle: solo so far, would like to have help sometimes when I can't complete some of the quests or just to run around with. I mostly play alone because I don't know anyone else who plays.
MMO games i've played: none
What kind of kinships I'm looking for: I play for fun. I have a child so I have other things I have to do sometimes but usually once I get on to play I'm ingame for a few hours. I don't work during the day so spend a lot of time in game while my child is in school. I'd like a group accepting of newbies cause even tho I'm a level 17 ... I'm still not sure what I'm doing most of the time. I do have vent installed on my pc and would be willing to use teamspeak if you rather.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
In your post, please include:
- Ingame name: Strosi, Dwarf of course, Guardian, and level 15
- roleplaying always fun and enjoyed, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
- How many hours a week do you play? couple hours per day more on Friday and Saturday
- Optional - 30 year old Father and Husband in USA mountain time zone.
Just upgraded my account from trial, really enjoying the game, tired of So-called free mmo's with item shops (They get me in trouble with the misses) I level fairly quick, took up Armorsmithing, Loyal not a Kinship hopper.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Who am I?
Boozey, Dwarf Champion, currently level 13 and counting.
What am I looking to accomplish in the game?
I'm considering a multitude of options as far as where I want to go in the game, and would like to do a lot of the PvE content. I really enjoy crafting as well. I like a little RP, but can't say I'm well versed in it. I want to do PvMP as well, but I am utterly not well versed in the system as of yet.
How many hours a week do you play?
It really depends, but pretty much most of the waking day. I'm unemployed at the moment, so when I'm not making phone calls and sending my resume out, you can probably expect me in game. Typically when I have work I usually play from when I get home until about 1AM. Right now it's an all the time kind of thing. Right now you can expect me anytime from when I wake up until I fall asleep, with random breaks inbetween.
What kind of a player am I?
I personally love grouping and getting quests done in that fashion, and doing instances and the like. I basically just enjoy getting stuff done. Typically in games I enjoy doing the gear hunt and crafting to maximize my character. I'm a big "min-maxer" if you will. I am not a huge fan of soloing by any means, but I realize at lower levels there is a lot of that going on. I'm by and large a group and community player, that's how I enjoy gaming the most.
What is my age and timezone?
I am 25, and live in the EST.
Other helpful information:
I used to be a WoW guild master for a little over 2 years (end of BC and into ToC). We were an endgame raiding guild on the Mannoroth server, and left when Aion came out. We raided 3 nights a week 5 hours a night, and most of us were on otherwise as well. I still am friends with many of the people I played with there, but we (as a whole) haven't really been playing any games except League of Legends together. After over 5 years of that game, I've really become burnt out on it and have no desire to go back whatsoever.
Suffice to say, I have a lot of experience in leadership and I know how it works. I'm really looking for a place I can just be myself and not deal with any drama or bureaucratic bull**** to be honest with you. I consider myself a good player, and that's all I want to be for awhile.
I bought LOTRO during release, but my computer at the time wasn't able to handle it. Having upgraded now, I've been able to play. And I have to say, I'm really enjoying it so far, but I'm utterly a community player and would rather be able to chat with a guild/kinship while doing things than just being on my own.
I have a mic and have vent installed. I prefer using that if at all possible. My mic atm is NOT very good, since I recently moved my nice headset broke and I'm using an old backup. Vent/Teamspeak is INCREDIBLY important to me.
I prefer a bit of maturity level, but I'm not opposed to anything really. I will say I do not like to have to "watch my mouth" and I do tend to swear in my general context of speech. As long as that's okay, I don't care if someone is younger or older than me with the group I'm in, as long as we are having fun and getting things accomplished.
I generally consider myself a nice guy, and will go out of my way to help others out. I also pride myself on being as self-sufficient as I can be.
Please also consider I am a new player, and do have some basic game-play questions. I am well versed in the lore of LOTR, but I am new to LOTRO. (Honestly I even took a class on the book series in college english literature). I want to be the best at what I do, it's always been my goal in any game I've played.
I plan on sticking with my champion until the end. I will probably have a couple alts, but this will be my main character unless there is a specific need to level something else (or a new class comes out that really speaks to me).
Hope that works, any other questions feel free to contact me in game :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
In-game Info: Belius, 35 Man Lore-Master
Goals: Raiding/Seeing Content. Don't mind RP, but not really my thing.
Hours/Week: ~20-30 at the moment, sharp drop upon finding a job.
Playstyle: Casually hardcore. See and do everything for the sake of seeing and doing everything.
Misc: Used to function as a main tank in That One MMO until getting fed up with the soulless spreadsheet-based genericness.
Been playing LotRO on and off since beta, love the game but haven't yet found a server/kin to draw me in 100%.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hey all. I've been playing LotRO for a couple of years now and need a kin to join. I'm a very casual player with plenty of family and work obligations. I like to have fun and joke around. I'm mature and despise drama. I mostly like to quest but am open to just about anything in the game people are into.
I'm looking for an active guild that is friendly, fun-loving, and mature.
If you think I might be able to fit into your ranks, please send me a PM or reply here. Thanks for your consideration!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello everyone.
I played Lotro two years ago and recently decided to jump back into it. I have a 32 Minstrel but I remember absolutely nothing about how to play them, so I've decided to start over, and I'm looking for a kinship community to partake in.
My character's name is Curun. He's a level 1 burglar (I started him literally tonight.)
I'm 20 years old, and my school just let out so I'll probably be playing a moderate bit over the next few months to have some fun over the summer.
I'm mostly just looking for a community I can interact with, I think it makes the experience that much more enjoyable.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am a new, casual player. I am 42 and have kids so my play time is somewhat limited. I have been soloing up until now but I would like to meet some people who are willing to help me learn the ropes of grouping/fellowships.
My online character is Adlebryt. currently level 20 (almost 21) Lore Master. I have pretty good command of my soloing skills but I could always get better. More importantly to me, I'm starting to feel like I'm missing out on some content by not getting into fellowships.
I have done a good bit of reading on the Loremasters roll in a fellowship as well as the general jobs of most of the other classes. I will need the help of some patient people to help me get up to speed.
I have not done any real RPing so far but I am interested in learning more about that as well.
If you think I might fit in with your kinship please feel free to PM me here or just send me a tell ingame. I am on during the day sometimes (grinding mostly) and most evenings after 9PM est.
Thank you,
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
- name: fannuriel; race: elf; class: loremaster; current level: 21
Roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
- roleplaying. I'd like to learn how, I've rped in forums but never in-game.
- I doubt I'd like pvmp, but I've never tried, pretty much same with raiding.
How many hours a week do you play?
- about three or four hours a day, I'd say. Give or take a day here or there.
Playstyle
- I solo quite a bit, but I'm comfortable playing in whatever. Just depends on the day...
Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
- 20 yrs old; central time zone; feel free to ingame message... or pm me... or both.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name or character name: Vammet
Age: 47
Location: Uk/GMT
Playstyle: Solo for when I can't find groups, but prefer to be in groups of similar level people.
Character :56 Lore Master
Preffered Server : Landroval
MMO games you’ve played: EvE, WOW, Guild Wars
Why kinships should be interested in you:
Although A Mature player, I'm open minded and will always be willing to take advice from others and follow directions in groups. I have experience in the MMO world, so I'll already know the bassics like aggro, pulling, main tank, off tank, etc.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.
I'm looking for a kinship with mature people. To me, mature dosen't mean a certain age, it means people who don't act like children. A kinship that will help it's members is a must.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level- Adaldas level 20 hobbit burglar, Aedilaran level 36 human captain, Anund level 22 dwarf hunter, Arfastor level 21 elf rune keeper
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat- I try to evenly divide my time in-game among all the different play types. I RP a crazy vendor when I have items on the AH (Crazy Aedil, Crazy Adal, etc), I like to solo quest and get into the story of the game as well as being a part of a fellowship and learning what my roles are in them. I'm looking forward to end-game content and raiding as well as exploring mpvp.
- How many hours a week do you play- I'm out of work so I play offten. I'm regularly on for around 6-8 hours a day.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)- As described above I try to get equal amounts of time into all the different play types.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful- I'm new to lotro (started at the begining of April) so I'm still learning the ins and outs of the game, but I am a former WoW player so I understand the core mmo mechanics such as aggro, dps, tanking, off tanking, healing, etc. I'm currently trying to understand how they all apply to the world of lotro, lol.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.- I am 32, I'm in the pacific time zone and I ask a lot of questions :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship

I usually play around 0900 to 1300 during the week, PST
I usually solo, for lack of being able to find a group. I am a bit of an explorer, and like to stop and take in the sights sometimes.
24m , mature player pacific time zone.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Lothuialeth, Elf, Champion, currently Lvl 13.
Hello Landroval! I'm a very recent transplant from WoW looking for an RP/PvE guild. I'm an experienced rper and enjoy all aspects of rp: in-person, forum, and writing stories about my character. In WoW, I pretty much teamed up with a few people to cultivate short story lines, but would really like to experience more guildwide stories. If had to pigeon hole my rp style I'd say I swing between medium and heavy depending on my mood.
As for my playstyle, I'm a soloer, and love questing. I have the completist bug, and one of my proudest moment in WoW as finishing the Loremaster achievement. I'm one of those weird players who hate outleveling a zone before I've done everything in it. One of the things I like about Lotro is how it entices you to explore every nook and cranny for deeds and such.
Not to say I don't like grouping for instances, and do my best to learn my class. I'm also an experienced if not hardcore raider (started raiding in Wrath with my warlock). My biggest motivation though for instances/raids is to see how the story goes and just the fun of playing with friends. (Also, I love to rp instances. One of the things I found depressing about WoW was how raiding and rp were concidered mutually exclusive.) Oh, and I avoid PvP like the plague because I'm horrid at it.
I play between two and six hours a day, usually in the evenings. I'm 35 (if that matters) and am on the East Coast.
Well, that's it. Thanks for reading.
P.S. And like probably everyone else here I'm a huge Tolkien nerd, so I know the lore pretty well.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Beorbrand Beorning, Man, Lore-Master, 65
- Raiding (50 radiance, having trouble getting more to join the raid kinships,) RPing (I'd love to join a band - can play all the instruments! Have been doing sets at The Pony lately), like to do it all - explore, craft
- Depends on schedule, very active in the summer months, usually at night
- Prefer groups, solo when I can't (majority of the time,) love exploring
- Eastern Standard Time, used to play with the Blades of Anarion
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Tried the game, enjoying it, will likely enjoy it even more playing in a good kin.
Who am I?
Drachm, Man, Captain, 33
What am I interested in?
Roleplaying, yes. Prefer mature which is not to say profane or obscene (good ol' fashioned double entendre will sit nicely, thanks).
Raiding, eventually.
PvP, provided I don't have to grind to keep up. Been there, done that.
When am I on?
After putting the little one to bed and the house grows quiet, which is to say 23:00 - 02:00 ET. Usually no more than 3 hours a stretch, perhaps 3 times a week. Weekends are actually worse than weekdays with my time constraints.
How do I play?
I'm really trying to remain casual with this game after years of being hardcore (read obsessed) with other MMOs. It is a constant struggle. This is my first and likely only LOTRO forum post due to a self-imposed blackout on meta game information. Not sure how active I will be on a kin website outside of the game. Monitus es...

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello Landroval!
- Indrabar, an elf of Lindon, hunter, currently level 7 but will advance steadily. I have an elf hunter of the same name at level cap on Gladden, currently an officer in Knights of the Free Peoples. I will still play on Gladden mostly, but the allure of a mostly roleplaying community is very strong.
- I joined Landroval after reading about all the role-playing events your server holds and wanted to see what all the fuss was about ^.^ I would be very interested in finding a kinship that roleplays steadily (but perhaps not exclusively - I am still learning about role-playing and what all it entails). Once I am at or close to end-game, I would be very interested in raiding and pvmp. On Gladden, Indrabar is r6 out in the moors, if that matters at all.
- I play almost every day.
- I like to take my time and go solo occasionally, but I have found that the game is much more enjoyable when grouped with other people, so either way is fine for me. I am not trying to reach end-game as quickly as possible (as a point of reference, it took me about nine months to reach level cap on Gladden).
- I don't claim to know EVERYTHING there is to know about Tolkien or the lore of Middle-earth, but I would say I have a good general knowledge. I have read most of his books and know how to use this thing called the interwebs to find information if need be.
-Looking for a mature, but not obscene/profane kinship. I play lotro to relax and escape from the garbage in the real world, not find it again.
- 24 yrs old, EST. Yes, I am a girl irl.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Kalador, Human, Burg, 54
- I'm looking for a roleplaying guild - that is somewhat laid back about players time.
- I play maybe 6-8 hours
- Explorer, Soloer, Dark roleplay
- I enjoy roleplaying darker characters, not always evil, just with a "seedy" background. Someone that comes from the streets and has to work for every copper they get.
- Optional - I'm an EST player that has played a wide range of MMO's. You name it I've probably tried it. I'm an old school pen and paper player, but no longer play because of time issues. I don't get to play MMO's as much as I used to because I'm taking online classes.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Immortum is my typical Avatar name. I sometimes go with an alter ego of Mutrommi for RP or Sutol.
I am 39 years old but feel no older than 38 and a half. I do have a wonderful family who will always come first, but they love me so much that I enjoy several hours of sleep per week (Typically about 20 - depending on how much sleep I sacrifice).
I just switched to Landroval as I heard that it is the unofficial RP server. I typically play good aligned healers, but do enjoy venturing into neutral burglar types.
No preferences on timezone if the kinship is well populated. I live in Arizona which is Mountain time zone.
I am definetly an RP player and fully believe that RP is alive and well. I do PvP but prefer PvE.
I've played most of the major MMO's out there to include: AoC, WAR, SWG, UO, WoW, Age of Camelot, WWIIO, GW, EQ, EQII, EVE. By far, my favorite is Age of Conan for the RP aspect.
I'm a mature and friendly player who likes to have fun. I feel I'm a pretty good RP'er and am loyal to those who are serious about RP. I am not looking to do power leveling or being the best of the best of the best of the best. I like immersion and yes, reading the story lines. I believe RP'ers know how to have the most fun in MMO's.
I am most definetly looking for a heavy RP kinship. I love to RP in AoC and want to experience the same in LOTRO. I have been in and out of LOTRO because I have yet to find a serious RP kinship within.
So, if you are interested in inviting me or wish to try me out for measure, shoot me an e-mail at redsword27@hotmail.com with a subject of kinship invite or drop me a message at this forum.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Quiverring, Hunter 39 ( also have a 65 Champion- 85 rad, a 65 Rune- Keeper- 120 rad, and a 17 Burg all on Elendilmir) and a currently inactive second account with a 36 Hunter on Brandywine
Age: 38
Landroval
Eastern time zone
Playstyle. I am somewhere between casual and hardcore. I play a lot during the evenings and weekends and like to raid and PVMP but RL always comes first. I also enjoy questing, leveling alts, and running instances. I don't RP or craft and am not a big fan of skirmishes.
MMO games you’ve played: WOW, AOC, Warhammer, DDO, Some F2 P, LOTRO is my favorite though.
Why kinships should be interested in you.
I have a range of toons that hopefully can fill the various needs of a kinship. I am open to transferring a toon or two, I am considering starting from scratch with a brand new toon.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. I seem to have a hard time finding the "right" kin. Some kins I have been in were too casual, others leaned more towards the hardcore side. I would prefer a kin that raids no more than twice a week and doesn't have strict participation requirements on attending raids.
Any kins that are interested please send me a PM here. Thanks.

Multiple Characters Looking
I have the max of characters on Landroval. Several are in a general play kin and I use those when I play with family. However I have several characters looking for a medium to hard core roleplay kin. My play style interests primarily run to questing, and I'm looking for a kin that enjoys grouping and roleplaying the quests as they do them. So far all I've found are roleplay kins that meet maybe once or twice a week at the Prancing Pony or some other location and have "story time." I'm looking for more active roleplay in game. Characters immediately available:
Mahrillia 24 elf-hunter More serious
Beneger 18 hobbit-burglar Played with a more comic tone
Okili 18 dwarf-runekeeper My oldest character (in game age)
and played as my wisest.
Email Okili in game with kin info. I tend to be more active with this character at the moment and will get the mail faster that way. If you are more interested in recruiting one of the other characters, still email Okili, then I can swap over. The others I have sort of parked and waiting for a kin. I want them to grow and develop with a kin if I can.
I'm eastern time and my play hours can fluctuate but I'm fairly regular.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've got a mid-50's RK, a 50 guard (that I don't remember how to play since it's been 3 years!) and a lowbie captain that I plan to play up next.
Age: middle
Time Zone: Eastern time zone
Playstyle: I'm more casual minded but enjoy instances and helping folks (whether by crafting or adventuring). I don't RP or PvP/PvMP/whatever. I don't mind the occasional raid but would not consider myself a raider if that makes sense.
other MMOs: EQ2, PotBS, City Of, AOC, WAR, WoW, DDO, Aion, probably others I just can't remember!
Why kinships should be interested in me:
I'm a snappy dancer. I've got moves like you wouldn't believe. In fact, my favorite one is where I sort of clap my hands and tap a foot.
What kind of kinship you are looking for?
Active, people with a good sense of humor, other snappy dancers.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Seldi, Elf, Lore-Master, Level 13
I can either role-play or not.
I would like to play about 12-15 hours a week if I find some people to play with.
My playstyle varies. The last MMO I played (besides City of Heroes) was Ultima Online and my favorite thing to join in was hunting parties to get loot for one or two team members in specific areas/levels.
I'm a dedicated MMOer if I find the right people to play with.
I'm 30 years old and get along with all ages pretty well. I'm in the Central Time Zone.
Hoping to find someone soon! Love the game, but it tends to get boring on your own. I had a kinship I was a member of, but they were a carryover from another game and they are still dedicated to that one while I find myself gravitating toward LOTRO. I figured it was just time for me to find a new group to run with! Thanks! :D

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name, class etc : Crosianna, level 31 (wo)man Captain
What I want : Up for anything, would prefer casual play with populous kin, mature friendly. Not much fussy for RP but would tolerate light or very casual RP. Major preference given to those Kins catering to people with dark, twisted humours, and who desire to babble insanely or turn the chat blue.
As I'm fairly new, I'd really like a kin that helps newer players get started, however I would expect to help out others as fair is fair.
I'm square and level, and dont billshut with people. I'm scottish but since I don't have a life, I'm active most of the day, even EST/PST times.
If anyone wants to know more, pursuant to a kinship invite, please PM me.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Corisa, 44 woman burglar
I'm interested in role-playing, but I'm open minded towards anything
I'm on the east coast, and typically available in the late evenings. I guess I average between 12 and 15 hours a week, sometimes more.
I tend to be a solo player, but I'm fond of group play with the right kinds of people. I would like to get into raiding, but it's not a requirement for me.
I enjoy questing and helping others when I can, and I like to farm/cook when I have down time
Anything else you want to know, you know where to find me.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm interested in finding the right Kinship. I'm a semi-serious player with a lot of MMO experience (EQ, WoW, CoH, some others). My LOTRO play up to now has been 98% solo, with occasional pick-up groups usually for specific quests, so I will probably need to get up to speed on the unique aspects and strategy of group play here. I would prefer light-to-moderate RP, mature players, lots of grouping -- I'm not looking for hardcore raiding or PvP. Right now my characters include a 39 Warden, a Captain and Minstrel in the low-mid 20's, and others -- I have a tendency to recycle and create alts at the drop of a whim. :) My play hours are highly varied as my work schedule is currently irregular, but I'm in the Pacific time zone. Mostly it would just be good to have people to talk to, group with, and learn from. I'm not a Tolkien fanatic but I do try to keep basic concepts within the lore. Drop me a note or suggestion!

Looking for RP Kinship
Leothwen, Woman of Rohan--or so she claims--and Expert Treasure Hunter (30 Burglar).
I'm very interested in roleplaying, although I'm not very experienced. I'm also unsure as to which style of roleplay I'm best suited, though I'd prefer more rather than less. I would like to develop my character in the context of good company, rather than solely in my own head, and I feel that roleplay with others is what truly draws me to LOTRO and makes my character come to life. At the same time, it's difficult to roleplay all the time, and I'd like to be able to make allowances for the non-RP aspects of the world.
Leothwen is a tailor, an aspiring musician, and... a thief, from the borderlands of Dunland and Rohan. For all her time in the company of Men, she feels more at home with Dwarves, who seem to place far less emphasis on the rules of ladylike behavior with which she is so uncomfortable. Though somewhat shy, she's overly fond of ale, music, and dance. She can be very mercurial, some days quite merry, some days inconsolably despondent.
I play very often at the moment, although I can't say for how long I'll have that luxury. If you'd like to find me, I'm often at the Prancing Pony late at night--central standard time--, especially when there's music to be heard!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Aere, level 17 elf rune keeper.
Lots of EQ2 experience raid healing and raid MTing.
Looking for end-game PvE grouping and raiding.
Ideal guild would be fun, friendly, family-style. Not into heavy RP.
Would play euro-hours.
A guild that raids end-game content but is OK if RL commitments make me unavailable sometimes! I do have a job and family after all :-)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Kaugon, Elf Hunter, LVL 10
- Open to all aspects of gaming mostly looking for a casual good time but possibly heavy on questing. Love doing instances. Not opposed to RP, just haven't tried it before. Not too into grinding though.
- I just picked up lotro yesterday, but my play time is kind of sporadic. I may be up all night PST due to insomnia, or on all day due to boredom.
More than anything I like just having people to chill with while enjoying a good game. Soloing after a while can get terribly boring. I only got heavily into WoW because I had IRL friends who'd i'd talk to in vent nonstop while we pvp'd.
feel free to shoot me a pm or a tell or whatever. :D

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi, I'm, Lindorieh, Woman, Hunter, Level 10. I'm definitely interested in roleplaying, although I'm still working out Lindorieh's background story.
I play late evenings CST and some Thursdays. I am new to LOTRO and looking for friends to play with and level up with. Ideally, I'd like a noob-friendly, medium- to heavy-RP kinship made up of Tolkien fans who happen to also play LOTRO. In RL I have a husband and kids who would rather I not be online all the time, so I may suddenly have to go AFK on occasion.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Husband and wife warden/minstrel team (level 65) looking for a kin.
about your kin:
- You're an active group of people in the EST-PST timezone range who like to do the moria/mirkwood 3 - 6man instances. You might do some 12/24-man old/new raids, you might not.
- You've usually got enough willing & eager people online that it's possible to get a moria/mirkwood dungeon or two cleared on most nights.
- Your kin is made up of mature and fun-loving people. Mature in this case doesn't mean that you don't like to joke around, it means you aren't jackasses.
about us:
- We play casually. For us, this means we might log in every night for two weeks, and then not be able to log in for a week and a half while RL or the latest Bioware release occupies us. Our usual times are between 8:30pm and 12:30pm eastern on weeknights, and weekend times will vary. We're responsible - if we sign up for an event, we'll be there barring emergencies or natural disasters.
- We might roleplay a little in /say, however our characters don't have any fleshed-out backgrounds. We're perfectly fine with other people roleplaying around us, however it isn't something we prioritize in a kin.
- We enjoy playing to the best of our abilities, and are always looking to improve. We're newly returned to the game and are a bit rusty, so patience and helpful tips are appreciated. We didn't get to play much when level 60 was the cap, so we're unfamiliar with most of the Moria dungeons. We haven't yet done any Mirkwood dungeons at all. We're eager to experience them in the company of friendly kin-mates.
Please toss me a PM if it sounds like we might be a fit for your kin.

A little more about Lindorieh:
Ever since she was a small child, Lindorieh remembers her mother telling her stories of elves, dwarves, kings, and dragons. Her mother's kin were of the Ranger-folk, and so when her mother married Lindorieh's father, a simple woodsman of Combe, the marriage was frowned upon by both families.
Privately, Lindorieh thought her father was the bravest man she knew, defending the family homestead from ruffians until they finally had to flee to the safety of Bree-town. Lindorieh's father is now retired to a life of carpentry in Bree, and her mother is a renowned healer.
Many different people have sought out Lindorieh's mother as a healer. Some of the people who came to visit were travelers, and their stories awakened a desire in Lindorieh to see the wide world. In particular, she longed to see the beautiful city of Rivendell. Her mother had been there once as a young girl, and said it was the most beautiful place she had ever seen. But she also said it was hidden and very hard to find, and when she had traveled there the world had been safer than it was now.
Lindorieh is just beginning her travels. She has already seen an elf, but she was too frightened of him to ask the way to Rivendell. She has been learning the way of the hunter, and has dealt with several of the ruffians who terrorized her family in the past. She wants to try to contact her mother's kin, and thinks of becoming a Ranger one day; that is, IF they will have her....

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Captain - Kangaruu
level 28
Looking for an end game kin. This is my only toon on Landroval. I have a 65 Champ, Minstrel, and Loremaster on Nimrodel. Accomplishments include a Watcher 1.0 Nimrodel server first on my Champ as well as an easy mode LT. 1.0 Nimrodel server first on my Loremaster. I do not RP. Level of play has been light for sometime now due to lack of content and interest but I'm hoping to find a renewed interest in the game on Landroval with a captain. Feel free to PM me in game or send an in game mail.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Belrandor of Gondor, Level 30 Champion of the race of Men
- RP very preferred, haven't done any PvP or raiding or skirmishes (yet)
- I'll play just about any style - I just solo a lot right now because I don't have a lot of options besides PUGs.
- Other MMOs played include City of Heroes, Champions Online, Star Trek Online, EVE Online. Still active in EVE Online - others are just as I can. (Especially CO and STO - hooray lifetime memberships.) Have a lifetime membership here, so no worries once LOTRO goes F2P.
- RL age 25, college student from Michigan, classes are all online and afternoon, so shouldn't impact play times too much for US primetime
Character info:
Belrandor is a Ranger of Ithilien, and has been loyally serving the people of Gondor and the House of the Steward for years. His father had been an officer in the Army, and he had long regaled his son with tales of his adventures, including helping defeat the goblins and their allies at the Battle of the Five Armies, where his parents had initially met before marrying and, years later, moving to Minas Tirith, where Belrandor was born. In his thirtieth year, the Rangers of Ithilien heard rumors and tales of the Nine Riders being seen in Arnor, and, specifically, the Shire. Only a bare few men could be spared at the time, and Belrandor was one of those dispatched, with only the guidance to "defend the Free Peoples against the Enemy and his agents." As such, he has decided to stay and help as he can.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
New to server and pretty much brand new to the game.
Name: Berinas
lvl 12 Hunter (Atm though will likely change fast)
I am interested in mainly just learning the game, leveling and having fun. I have been members of RP guilds and such in the past and would be interested in doing it again but not a req.
mature kinship...raiding not req.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I mostly play on elendilmir and am a member of Aurora Australis, but I would like to experience role play, and have therefore started a suite of toons on Landroval. My ideal would be to join an exclusivist Hobbit guild, but I can't seem to locate any. I am often available to play at peak US times, and would be willing to join and help build a new kinship.

Tank, DPS, and Healer Looking for Kinship
This is a triple post of sorts. Three friends are looking for a guild as we level up to run instances with. All three of us have played end game of various MMO's and just started LotR:O three weeks ago. Our experience in these games are pretty indepth and we work really well with each other. We come as a package deal. As mentioned, we are looking for good people run instances with as we level up and play consistently with.
Our current level is 26 and we are a Warden, Hunter, and Runekeeper. Already covering the trinity of tank, healer, dps. So if you are looking to add a pre-balanced group (minus CC) to run instances/skirmishes with then message Tristani or Tohmark in game or send a mesasge to me here.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Character Info - Jafnahar, Elf Rune-Keeper, currently Lvl 48
- Looking For - Looking for Heavy Role-Playing Kin. May do PvMP but it's not necessary that the Kin does any organized PvMP, RP is my focus/goal.
- Playtimes - I play every night, usually through the primetime EST hours and more often than not well beyond. *Cough*
- Other Information - Long-time RPer in both tabletop and various MMO's such as AoC, WoW, DAoC, Horizons, etc.
- Personal Info - Age 28, EST.
What I'm looking for, Pt.2 - Myself and my girlfriend are new to Landroval, with me being new to LotRO altogether and her returning after an extended absence. We're looking for a certain type of Role-Playing Kin. One that has an OOC kinship channel, but is otherwise mostly immersive. We enjoy RP in various flavours, from quest and existing content based, to player generated story arcs, to small talk and 'tavern' RP, and are hoping to find a Kin that offers a bit of all of them. We enjoy RP story arcs that, while they may be planned to some degree, to set people on the right path, are allowed to develop and grow organically. We're occasional raiders, but it's not important to us, and more than occasion PvPers, but taking it easy on that front for awhile, so it's not important to us that a guild have any PvMP presence. RP is what we're looking for, first and foremost.
If you're an active guild that might fit what we're looking for (We don't care if you're small, or large, just active), we'd love to hear from you, here or in-game. Thanks!
- Jaf

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Krayl - Captain, level 10
If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat:
Interested in all aspects of the game, light RP. Mainly just looking to take my time, enjoy all the content.
How many hours a week do you play?
2-4 hours on a night i get to play, which is probably 3-4 nights a week so fairly casual for an MMO.
Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Explorer, mostly solo but I do like to group, I'm just inexperienced with the game.
Various other information a kinship may find useful
I've played MMO for a long time. For a few years I was an officer/main tank for a WoW raiding guild so I know how that goes. I don't have the time to put into anything like that anymore. So I'm playing LOTRO in a semi 'casual' or "enjoy the ride" sort of way.
Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
32, PST; I like to drink scotch and play with goblins.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Your character name and race:
Sabert of Rohan, Man (I have others, but this will be my main one)
Age:
24
Location:
PST (+8 GMT), or any other US time zone.
Playstyle:
- Solo and group (depends on my mood at the time)
- PvE
- PvP
- RAIDs
- Casual
- End-game
- RP
MMO games you’ve played:
Pretty much any MMO that comes to your head, I've tried. I steadily play Star Trek Online and used to play Age of Conan.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I offer knowledge, fun, and a helping hand whenever it's needed. My character may be low level now, but I am always willing to go out of my way to help another, as least to the best of my ability. I do love to craft on occasion, so I would be happy to help supply the Kinship as well.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
I am looking for a decent sized and organized Kinship. I actually really just want to join a Rohan based/Rohan only Kinship. It can either be based on just the culture, or the Rohirrim themselves. Either way would be fine, because I've grown a fascination in Anglo-Saxon history. :)
About me:
I am in the military, currently married, I love to party and find random things to do. That pretty much sums up my real life, as I'm not always doing a normal daily routine. I am a pretty friendly person who just wants to get along, and has enough patience to cheer on a sloth running a 4k race... the whole way. Military tends to get in the way of my play time, so I can only get on when time permits.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Sereou Orthoduin
51 Man Warden
Greetings friends! I am seeking a good medium (possibly heavy) roleplay kinship with at least some focus on raiding (no interest in PVP at all). My play times at the moment are most evenings around 5-10pm eastern time and pretty much all weekend.
I do not have a ton of experience in fellowships yet, as most of my time leveling has been spent duo with a runekeeper (RL friend of mine), however I have read every article and guide I could find on how to play my class effectively. Though I know this does not translate to being an effective tank in practice, I believe I can become such very quickly, and I very much enjoy doing what I do.
I have over 10 years of experience in MMOs, mostly in Everquest and EQ2, but also have played Eve online, DDO, and god only knows how many other free MMO games (silkroad, shaiya, etc). I have a good deal of raid experience in other games, and very much enjoy doing it, even if it's not a huge focus. I love to roleplay, and am quite versed in all things Tolkien (I've read the Silmarillion, Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings at least three times apiece, and have also read the Unfinished Tales, and a few other books of his world.
As for real life, I'm 26 years old and live in Indianapolis, IN (though spent most of my life in western Pennsylvania, go Steelers!). I'm a geek, through and through...I play D&D and Vampire (the dice and character sheet versions, lol), have some experience with software design, and am at a computer terminal pretty much all day long.
Please feel free to message me, either in game or PM here, if there is anything else you would like to know, or feel I may be a fit for your kinship. Thank you kindly, safe paths and fair winds always!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
EDIT: Found a Kinship
- Graelthor, Dwarven Champion 8th level
- Medium-high RP, some interest in raiding, slight interest in PvP
- 6-10 hours per week
- I like solo-ing as well as groups. Only grind when I gotta
- Very experienced RPGer, both table-top and MMO
- Located in eastern time zone

Character: Hallem
Level: 23 (currently)
Race: Man
Class: Guardian
Interested In: I am interested in all aspects of the game, but mostly roleplaying.
Hours: You will usually see me on the weekends, as I am very busy from Monday to Friday.
Playstyle: Sometimes solo, sometimes grouping, explorer.
Timezone: EST
Experience: I've been following LOTRO since 2007 closed beta, but I haven't gotten the chance to play until now. I have little experience with MMOs past level 25, but I am very eager to learn.
Other: I'm ultimately looking for a medium-heavy roleplaying kinship that is friendly, medium sized, tightly-knit, and mature. Thank you!

- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Explorer/ Soloer
- Various other information a kinship may find useful

I am 13, but don;t judge me by my age I hate kins who do that, I live in EST And I've been playing MMOs for 2 years almost 3.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Character: Brocard, Hobbit Minstrel, 14
- Light to Medium RP, Casual-friendly
- Varies based off of schedules and needs
- Mostly Solo and loves to explore, however, I'm new to the game and this may change
- I love to RP, in channel or in person. I think LOTRO provides a unique opportunity to RP, but I am still trying out the game, so I haven't settled on a single class/race combo yet
- 29 years old. EST (US)
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level: Dezire, 32 Elf Minstrel & Disire 18 Elf Runekeeper
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat: I enjoy RP, but not militant. I am not that great at it, so I don't want to be chastised if I don't perform to standard. I would also like be involved in RP that encompasses all members rather than RP that focuses on a select person or small group of people. Definitely want to avoid any drama.
- How many hours a week do you play?: I am a full time makeup artist/stylist and a full time mother, so play time is somewhat limited. I can probably play at least 10 hours a week. Am off Sunday and Monday, so may have more time then.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)- I love to explore, complete objectives and share adventure with friends. Right now, the latter is impossible since I am alone and am hoping a kinship can remedy that situation.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful- I have played pretty much every game out there and have led a few guilds in my time. However, at this point I prefer to support someone else in the pursuit of leading a successful kinship. I enjoy helping but realize GOOD leadership is hard work and can deplete from one's gaming experience. However, some may embrace the challenge and I salute those who can and want to do it!
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.- I am from NY (EST), I am past legal drinking age, a woman never discusses those kinds of statistics.
Look me up if any of the above appeals to you!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Current Characters:
Tansania - Hobbit Guardian, Lvl 20 (Armorer)
Ellendiel - Elf Hunter, Lvl 21 (Woodsman)
Ceyowen - Human Minstrel, Lvl 10 (Yeoman)
Halemdir - Elf Lore-master, Lvl 1 (To Be Historian)
In Game Interests-Playstyle:
I enjoy leveling, RP and PvE. I am a bit of an altoholic. I like playing a variety of characters and variety of rolls. Have found - at least from a WoW perspective - that I like playing a tank or damage roll best. Never been one for PvP.
Looking For In A Kinship:
I'm seeking a Kinship for any of my alts that is casual with a relaxed environment and lots of RP opportunities. I think I like best 'explorer' RP, seems to work well with doing a little of both RP and PvE. I'd like a Kinship that would fit at least one of my characters. I usually try to match a Kinship to my character's personality. Thus I've decided to throw in a short character summary for the four character's listed.
Quick Character Summary:
- Please forgive any 'Mary Sueness' or Lore errors, I am not quite familiar with LotR lore, though I have read the books -
Tansania Goodchilde, aka Tans, of the Norfoot. Young, oddly adventurous hobbit, with a stout heart and sense of duty to protect others. Member of the Bounders. Hometown is Brockenborings. Apprentice Armorer.
Ellendiel, sometimes called Greybow, of Lothlórien. Skilled huntress who prefers the woods to cities. Though a bit reclusive, has left her woods to assist in the fight against Sauron. Knowlegable Woodsman.
Ceyowen of Rohan. Gentle minstrel who dislikes confrontation. Prefers the quite life but does what she can to encourage others. Practiced Yeoman.
Halemdir of Rivendell. Intelligent, though a bit arrogant, lore-master. Uses his knowledge to aid in these dark times but can be rather condescending. Know-It-All Historian.
Availability:
I am a full time college student and thus don't have as much time as I would like, but I am usually available on most evenings and about every other weekend, when I haven't traveled home. Oh and I am in the Central Time Zone.
A Little About Me:
I am 25 years old and as previously stated a full time college student. I am a newcomer to LotRO but not to MMORPGs or RP. Until recently I've been an exclusive WoW player - main is a gnome mage on the Moon Guard server. I still enjoy WoW and will continue to play it with my small guild of friends. That said, I have grown quite fond of LotRO. I'd tried a few free trials of LotRO and just never got 'into it' until I decided to try it again with the new F2P option. For whatever reason I suddenly found a strong interest in Middle Earth. I opted to subscribe, at least for the month, to see more of what LotRO has to offer. I plan to continue playing as premium and perhaps subscribing again in the future as finances improve.
If anyone has any Kinship suggestions for the above alts feel free to PM me or send me an in game mail. Tansania and Ellendiel are the two alts I play most.

Looking For Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Olburnath, Halfling Warden level 60 (returning player)
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I'd like to find a guild with a strong streak of roleplaying. I'm not much for sitting around and playing through complicated stories for hours on end, but I do enjoy staying in character while I adventure, and chit-chatting with others in taverns. I love the lotro music system, and playing in bands with others. I like going through dungeons and quests, and am not even adverse to raiding (I do have a great deal of experience in other mmos) but I am pretty rusty. I've found warden isn't an easy class to take a year-long break from, and I'd appreciate a guild where I could possibly get advice from more experienced players.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Hard to say. Probably will vary a lot. I've been keeping a window open on my gaming computer while I work lately, but actual playtime fluctuates greatly.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Feels like all I've been doing is exploring and grinding while soloing. I'd like to try some more group activities. I have been doing a lot of crafting the past few days, and am almost maxed.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I'm an old man of 30 in the EST. I rarely burn the midnight oil these days. I'd like a pretty easy-going guild, without any ooc drama. Events are fun, but I don't want to feel like I'm obligated to show up for everything (unless I commit myself in advance). That's all I can think of.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
•- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Maladrim, Human, Hunter, 1
Bjornarn, Human, Burglar, 6
(Subjected to changes seeing i'll be leveling)
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
As a old MMO player, I enjoy all aspects and RP is one of the biggest for me.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Currently juggling games so, who knows really, plenty of time to play thats for sure.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Just about everything
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
Looking for RP of course, must be a nice populated and an RP for starters (OF course alot of other things also ring my bells) . I'll have to level up etc so dont try and ENFORCE RPing on me because im low level...dont expect some level 6 in Forochel for your fishing RP. Just kidding....hes looking for a typical RP kinship...mainly one of military standing for both, I'll probably be playing Maladrim more than Bjornarn so yea...
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Come from a military family (Marines dating back to WW1). Graduated high school as a Cadet Captain from a Marine JROTC that was the top in the nation I believe. Time zone is EST. Looking for wickedly cool bromances. I play other games, SWG (Bobinator' on Starsider, RPer), Warhammer Online (Order, Badlands, Unshenkov) and WoW (RP Moon Guard, Alliance, Björn) Im an old LOTRO player, account is dated April 2007, was a beta player as well.
Character RP Stuff
Bjornarn Of Rohan: This man is a skilled sneak and mercenary, dangerously good looking and deadly. He was named Bjornarn which means Beareagle for his quick and vicious lightning attacks. Hes pretty much labelled a menace but is still very useful regardless of what they call him. He is very laid back, always up for a drink and relaxation until the money hits the table for his...under-the-table services of ripping throats out. Hes around the age of 28
Maladrim of Arnor: This man is a skilled tracker and outdoorsman, deadly with his bow. He is a Dunedain and a Ranger of the North. He was one of the few under a leadership of any sort, the leadership was of Aragon. He wished to see the Rangers finally regroup by Aragon's leadership but sadly they are too scattered. He is somewhat young, only around the age of 65.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Islara, Woman, Champion, level 17
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I think I would like Light-Medium RP, I've never raided, and not really interested in PvP
- How many hours a week do you play?
Probably...8+ I'd guess. Some evenings, weekends (CDT). No real schedule yet.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Explorer - want to see everything.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Adult, generally reliable but might get called away from the game for RL stuff.
I have a vague idea for my character background, but it's not a story yet. I just don't know enough lore yet to flesh her out.
I'm playing as VIP right not, but will be going premium as soon as the month's out, in case anyone's only looking for VIP members

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
At the advice of several players in game, I've decided to post my "Classified Ad" so to speak and work on finding a Kinship. I'm primarily looking for a Roleplaying Kinship that is heavy enough to be true to the Lore of Middle-Earth and the game setting, yet not so heavy as to tie my hands whenever I log on. As anyone would like, I prefer mature, respectful, and friendly players to be with and offer the same behavior in return. I can be contacted by Private Message or in-game Mail (I will reimburse for inquiries). For those who need to know: I am 23 years old. I also enjoy reading books, taking long walks on the beach, and eating chicken cheese steak subs. :D
Character:
Tercen, Man of Gondor, Level 16 Captain (at time of posting)
Apprentice Prospector, Apprentice Weaponsmith
Character Biography (Summary):
Tercen, a Man of Gondor, is a man whose lineage is known and thus held in suspicion. As a soldier of Dol Amroth and Gondor he had nothing handed to him, but through dedication and loyalty has earned the respect of his captains, causing him to be sent Northward to Eriador as a servant representing the interests of his home city. Now stranded in the Bree-lands after much strife, Tercen is decided to renew his dedication to his homeland by shielding it from the threats that lie in Angmar, though he will soon discover the dangers of Moria and Mirkwood as well.
Player Focus:
-Roleplaying, semi-casual/semi-dedicated amounts of lore-oriented Medium-to-Heavy.
-PvE/Crafting
-Exploration
Player Attributes:
-Excellent spelling and grammar
-Extensive knowledge of Tolkien's Mythology of Arda/Middle-Earth
-Twelve years of Roleplaying experience in several games and online communities
Player Availability:
Most afternoons, approximately 20 hours weekly
(Located in Chicago, GMT -6:00)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
I'm new to this MMO, and an unrepentant altaholic. I currently have four toons that I will bounce around with. I'm sure I'll settle on one of the four to be a "main". But nothing yet.
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
No current interest in RP, although I do enjoy witnessing RP play around me, which is why I choose this server. Raids and groups may be a possibility, but it will likely be a long time before I make it to max level.
- How many hours a week do you play?
A couple of hours in the evening on weekdays. Anywhere from 4-8 hours on weekends.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
In WoW, I was more of a heavy-grind/raider. In Age of Conan, I was more a an explorer/solo'er. This game appears to be rich in story/environment, so I will likely spend my first year exploring and soloing. Maybe the occasional group during questing.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I am interested in finding a social kinship. I enjoy friendly banter in chat, silly conversations and just generally having a fun time as I explore/level. In previous MMOs, I tend to enjoy helping people out with their quests/crafts, but it will likely be a bit before I would be in a position to do that here. I suspect my main problem in finding a Kinship will be finding a home for such a green player, and one that would also accept all of my alts in one swoop.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I'm 41, female and on the east coast. I'm an IT-weenie and have been gaming since the mid-80s. I tried the game out as F2P. I am currently a VIP so I could get some caps removed on my toons, but will lapse back to Premium when the time runs out.

Looking for an immersive rp kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Lambe, man, hunter, level 22
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
My main interest is RP but I am open to all other types in the game (especially if the roleplay calls for it).
- How many hours a week do you play?
Usually a couple hours in the morning on the weekdays and more flexible during the weekends.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I usually grind the first few levels of a character just so I am able to take care of myself against my surroundings. As for my toon Lambe, I feel that he is in a comfortable level that I have just been taking my time and focus more on roleplaying. The other playstyles are all good but being a hunter, I tend to rp him as a solo explorer.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I find this game to be a good setting for immersion, thus why I am interested in joining an immersive kinship, more specifically a Ranger kinship with a focus on outdoors rp. Aside from that tiny ranger detail, I am open to other types of rp kinships, hoping for an active and friendly one.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Male, 26 years old living in New Jersey (-4:00 GMT/US EST)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I have two characters I would like to find a Kinship for.
Athelgar of Rohan, a warden. Tall and well muscled he has long dark hair and a scruffy goatee. A long scar mars the right side of his face. The scar is old and seems to have affected his right eye. He can see out of it though things are blurry. It is this injury that stopped him from using a bow and turning to the javalin.
He is somewhat quiet believing that if it needs to be said, it should be said in as few words as possible. He is used to wandering alone for long lengths of time though he does enjoy company of others.
(( He is level 34 currently and a woodsman by trade. I love the Warden class and strongly desire to become highly proficient in it though have not done much grouping. I would like the oppertunity to practice tanking and/or off tanking ))
Dharhelm of the Dale, a captain. His long dark hair and peircing blue eyes highlight a handsome face. His neatly trimmed goatee often frames a small smile that seems full of life. Often joyous nothing seems to faze him for long. He is trained in leading men in combat and even that dangerous trade can not hamper his spirit.
(( He is level 20 currently and a scholar by trade. An unusual choice for a captain I know but I chose it simply for the scroll making capabilities so he could better protect his fellows. I find this to be an interesting and fun class to play and in fact was my first character to make it to level 18 without a single defeat. ))
.............................. ...........
I am a 32 (almost 33) year old man. I am a paramedic by profession and my shifts are 24 hours long. On my off days I play as much as possible. Mostly in the evenings when my four year old is asleep. I rarely have wife agro as she tries to sleep or is watching tv shows I care absolutely nothing about.
The only thing that has ever distracted me while playing would be Monday Night Football, but even that is more often than not background noise.
I am a returning player and have re-subscribed. This game is amazinly fun and beautiful and I cannot see myself going anywhere any time soon.

- Roster: 9 characters total (7 without a kinship) with most in their teens to 20s as far as level

Sekking Kinship
Hello;
I'm seeking a kinship for my Level 33 minstrel, and 21 Guardian. I'd prefer a role playing kinship, because I've been a role player for numerous years. however it's not necessary, what I'm mostly looking for is a Kinship that is near the range of my characters to fully experience the game with questing and fellowships with my fellow kinsmen.
I play several characters right now, you can contact any of them at anytime. Shantai, Amarilyn, Briyne , Silou and Delliyra. They are all level 20 all different classes, except for Shantai being a level 33 minstrel.
Shantai Elven Female Level 33 Minstrel
Amarilyn Human Female level 21 Guardian
Delliyra Human Female level 20 Hunter
Silou Human Female level 21 Burglar
Briyne elven Female level 23 Runekeeper
Mature Role Player (40) played for years in various asspects of Role Play and various games. I know how to play my class, my strongest being a healer class. I will also bring fun, amusement and any kind of help that my current character can provide. Like I said I prefer a roleplaying kinship, but Role play can be found anywhere, a good friendly kinship is harder to find. I play all types of hours, most of my free time is spent playing, well crafting. My time zone is Central (Canada)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello people of Landroval, im having a bit of a hard time finding myself a kinship so I decided to make this post here.
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Hellung ( Human champion, lvl 24)
Lehallael (Elf hunter, lvl 17)
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
Im a f2p for now, and dont think ill become a sub anytime soon (except maybe 1 month for unlocks) , but eventually ill get the quests pack and explore the whole world.
I've never done rp, so i would feel better in a light rp kin
- How many hours a week do you play?
Around 20h per week
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I consider myself an all around casual player, i love to do all quests (yes, even the trivial ones), the deeds, explore the world, the storyline but id love to try the skirmish, the instances
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Im from Europe so that could make things a little harder when seeing other kin members, because of that i would love to join a kin that has people from Europe or some members playing around my timezone (GMT)
Any question please pm me or ingame... (here would be a better choice) =)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Mistriel - 12 Elf Rune Keeper
Aedrewyn - 29 Human Hunter
Aknenakh - 65 Warg Stalker
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I like a little bit of everything. Depends on my mood. I'd like to get into roleplaying more but even if I RP I'd like to do other activities.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Depends on my schedule. 10-20 hours a week, sometimes less sometimes more.
When I have the time, it changes depending on my schedule.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I love exploring and most of the time I solo but I love grouping. I'm a subscriber so I have quest areas open to me.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I'd really like to join a kinship with mature players and very little tolerance for drama. Gaming is my just for fun activity so I don't want to be pressured or bullied into constantly raiding, pvp, and so on. I've played multiple other MMOs include free to play and pay to play games. I have been roleplaying since I was 14 on forums and other things like messengers, but never in an MMO. The only thing keeping me from RP at the moment is my lack of knowledge regarding lore.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I'm 20 and I'm on eastern time. I'm usually on late nights, mornings, and weekends.
Other than that I'd really just like a friendly and welcoming kinship to join.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hey Recruiters,
I am looking for an RP-focused kinship. Problem is, I am a bit inexperienced (maybe even "raw") at RP'ing in an MMO environment - I've taken some shots at it on my own but it's just not what I had in mind, so I'd like to kick it up a notch. I like the game and I've tried 'grinding', but it's not all that fun without throwing RP into the mix, so I am looking for a light to medium RP kin that will be willing to take a newbie under their wing (I'd be more than willing to go with a 'heavy' RP kin if they promise to be patient with my blunders).
Here's my info:
Steinwulf/Level 38/Man/Lore Master
- Focused on RP
- I play anywhere from 16 to 24 hours a week, maybe more but I can't promise above 24.
- I tend to go solo a lot, experimenting with RP and a mix of grinding, but I am willing to adapt.
- I do have a back-story, which I think is acceptable to Tolkien lore. I believe my depth in the lore of this world is acceptable, but that may be up to the recruiters to decide (note: I do NOT want to join in with players that are not paying at least moderate respect to background lore Tolkien wrote out).
- I am 23 years of age, I'm a guy (you may have already figured that out), live in the USA Central Time zone, and my weekend is (at the moment) Wednesday through Friday (but I work looong days the rest of the week, so no promises of activity on work days).
Thanks for your time,
Steinwulf 'Singer'

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ingame Name: Zimo
CLass: Burglar
Level: 37
Game play type: Not really into RP, looking more for people to group with and to do instances with
Hours per week: Approx 15-20
Play style: Right now I have been soloing skirmishes to level. I would like to do more instances, but it is tough finding a good group via /LFF
Other info:
I am looking for a good kinship to just have fun and enjoy the game. I am looking to do skirmishes and instances to level, and then work on some raids.
I am 24 years old, a student working on my masters, and I am on Eastern time.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hey, LOTRingers!
I'm recently returned to the game. I was in Beta (joined January '07), but the guild I was with tired of LOTRO quickly and I went on to other things within a few months of release. F2P brought me back, and within two days I signed up for a VIP subscription, so I'm here to stay awhile. The game is even better than I remember, and I really enjoy the community I've seen here so far.
I'm 39, and have been MMOing since Ultima Online. I recently left a career in law enforcement (15 years, left as a lieutenant in the Houston Police Department) and moved to San Francisco to pursue my dream of drawing comic books full-time. That's going VERY well, and I've never been happier.
I'm looking for a Kinship that exclusively recruits good people who do the right thing because it's the right thing to do! If that means the Kinship is small--that's not a problem with me. I would *much* prefer to play with a smaller group of truly helpful and kind people than to have to deal with unkind folks in-Kin, so to speak.
I prefer "law and order" or "for the good of all"-themed guilds/kinships that do not compromise when it comes to being constructive, helpful and honorable members of the MMORPG community. When a kinship begins to admit poorly-behaved or downright mean folks solely in order to increase membership--regardless of what skills, wealth or influence that person may otherwise have--the the organization begins to crumble from within and cannot stand as an example of good behavior and honor.
I'm looking for a kinship that promises itself to never douse the flame of truth and honor in order to attract the zerg.
I truly enjoy RP. In fact, if I were able to experience LOTRO completely through my character, turning off /tells, /regional, and all non-interactive channels, I would. And I still might! I have noticed that some RP guilds/kinships create storylines to act out as part of their RP play. I am definitely not interested in this. I prefer to organically behave as my character in-game, and to have events play out normally from there. Pre-packaged RP "shake and bake" is not my thing.
I'm not interested in strict quasi-military kinship schemes. I protected and served for 15 years that I wouldn't trade for anything, but I'm not going to bring that into my playtime. If your group has to implement quasi-military rank and strict rules of address, etc. simply to operate, then it's likely that you're inviting the kind of player that I wouldn't be interested in playing with.
My in-game character is Waywocket Undertoe, Hobbit of the Shire, and Honorary Shirriff. He is new to adventuring, but if he does not strike out to fight against the Enemy, who will? The Sackville-Bagginses? Hmph! Waywocket is a Minstrel, and is currently level 20. He's particularly enjoying his Scholar crafting, and is quite addicted to dodging bad guys while collecting the lore found in the ruins of Middle-Earth. Sees himself as quite the archaeologist, it seems!
As I work from home, I don't have set play hours. I play between drawing pages or studying to be a better artist. Sometimes I'll play for 30 minutes, sometimes for two hours.
LOTRO has changed a lot since beta (Scholar Radar, hooray!), so I am essentially relearning the game from scratch, even though my account was started in January of '07. I sure would love to learn the rest of LOTRO while adventuring with a great group of friends and compatriots who try to do the right thing all the time.
Thanks for reading my picky "Kinship Want List". See you in Middle-Earth.
Oh, and even if you aren't interested in me as a member of your kinship, be sure to ask if you ever need my Minstrel services. I enjoy keeping groups alive and well, regardless of your kinship affiliation.
Thank you!
Waywocket

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Vuno/Kazah, Hobbit, Minstrel/Burglar, and 27/34.
- Are you considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat?
I am open to all of the above, and especially PvMP since I played creep-side for three years already (on Arkenstone) I would like to experience PvMP whilst fighting amongst the ranks on the freep-side. Though, that is only if I manage to finally get a character to level sixty-five. Although I am open to everything, I do not want all of one thing. I may be open to an all-out PvMP kinship, though.
- How many hours a week do you play?
I do not really pay that much attention to play time, but I'd say I put in at least twenty hours or so a week.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I am explorer most of the time, barely am I ever a grinding heavily, and I usually am found solo until I reach the Mines of Moria. I love to explore the vast regions of Middle Earth that Turbine has provided us with, so it's not uncommon to find me doing so. I do not like to grind much because it wears me out and I feel the need to take a long break from the game, but sometimes if I really want to try and get through some levels, I can be found doing this. I am usually found solo until mid level fifties because the content is all extremely easy and there is no real need for me to group with others. However, once I get into the Mines of Moria I get extremely bored as.. I haven't a clue, but just being in the Mines gives me an, "Ugh.. I don't want to quest anymore. So boring!!". This is why my Guardian and Warden are both stuck on the same level.. and in the same place; the Mines of Moria.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'd love to find a relaxed, friendly kinship for my characters. Right now I am focused on Morthorn as he's my first and highest character at 48, but I also have two alts listed in my signature. Fair warning, I also play "that other game" and so my time will sometimes be split there depending on how bored I am with it at the time. Right now I'm playing LotRO full time though :) I'm not terribly interested in raiding, though I wouldn't mind doing some of the skirmishes and seeing the stuff I couldn't solo. I'm a roleplayer and writer, though I have extremely minimal knowledge of LotRO lore soooo... if you don't mind helping out there that would be awesome.
I'm located in the Eastern time zone, my playtimes are usually during the daytime, when the kids are at school, and nights... when they're in bed. I'm over 30 (I don't have to admit how much over, right?) and my SO plays as well when home from military duty.
You can message me here or send me a letter in-game if you'd like to talk!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Some of this was posted elsewhere, so please excuse the repetition if you have read my other post...
Currently I am a level 15 elf hunter named Suilebhain and have been stomping around Bree after being sent there by the good dwarves of Gondamon.
Roleplaying all the way is my goal. I enjoy a good raid, but would prefer to do so in-character rather than follow a scripted out plan designed to gather loot. I can take or leave PvP as it tends to be the least RP-friendly aspect of any game.
I play anywhere between 10-30 hours per week, usually. My play times are varied but usually weekday nights or different times on the weekend. I am on the East Coast US but usually start kinda late.
I love to explore and not much into the grind. I solo when I cannot find a good group, preferring to fail because I fail and not because someone runs me through a hoard of goblins and does not stop to help. Of course, I prefer a group that stays in character as much as hunaly possible.
I would like a kinship that uses Say over all other communications, even when in a fellowship. I prefer "face-to-face" RP rather than any kind of virtual guild hall device. I'm not into guilds that chit chat over a channel but do not gather. I also prefer that guild type things be done in character in the game, like meetings and ceremonies.
The ideal kinship would be a tight but friendly group that values their members. Too often I get into a guild that is only looking to swell ranks and once you are in you become a blip. Just saying "hey" over guild chat is not sufficient. I would prefer a small guild that actually teams with me than a giant guild that has weekly raids and calls that a clan gathering.
I am an older adult who works during the day so my playtime is all during the evening/night, East Coast time, or on the weekend. I try to maintain a balance between play and family, so weekend marathons are rare (though not unheard of).

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Ralgatha
Race: Mirkwood Elf
Class: Hunter
Level: 29
Home: Falathlorn Homesteads
Time Zone: EST
Looking for a mature kinship, medium RP. I am not well versed on all of the lore, and am not very experienced at RP, but I like to try. I play about 10-25 hours per week, time varies due to RL. Early am ~6-9 on weekends before the rest of the family drag their butts out of bed and randomly through the week, typically later in the evening ~8-10pm.
At the moment I am questing around Ost Guruth and LFF to finish a few fellowship quests in North Downs. My playstyle varies, I like exploring, questing and skirmish depending on the day. I do not care for grinding. I prefer to keep OOC at a minimum although do not mind it during "down times".

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I have been an off an on Subscriber to LOTRO since it's launch, and recently came back to enjoy the game here and there with it's F2P model. Recently married, both my wife and I are currently Kinshipless, so I am here to look for a place for the both of us that don't mind a couple of Veteran MMO gamers that play casually.
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
You can find me on any of my characters, but mainly Tirandiur, a 33 Elven Warden, or Pennryt a 26 Elven Rune-keeper. I also have Herrogar, a 25 Race of man captain from my sporadic subs earlier in the games life. My wife has Anyka, a 26 Race of man champion.
- If you are considering role-playing, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
Neither one of us are really role-players. I might be able to raid, but it largely depends on the Kinship. Largely militaristic run guilds are a major turn off to me in any game, so if there are strict requirements, please count us out.
- How many hours a week do you play?
15-20 hours a week maybe, sometimes more, sometimes not at all. My wife really plays only on the weekends, so maybe 10 hours max for her, as a result, I have a character set aside for her when she wants to play. =P
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I, myself, love to do anything and everything. My wife is more or less, a soloer/small groups person. But as I said we are playing casually under the F2P model, only dipping into our pool of TP to unlock new areas.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
We don't care for drama, most guilds say they are drama free, but this is largely inaccurate. We really don't want anything than to just log on and play without being bombarded by "in game politics" or the "he said she saids". We are F2P players, but the idea of subbing is never out of of the question. Both my wife and I have experience in other online games, though my list is definitely a lot longer than hers.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Age shouldn't be a deciding factor, we are both old enough to know better, but just to young to care. :) We are in GMT-5 (EST), English speaking, and mature (well, for the most part. ;) ).
Bottom line: We aren't (too) picky, we just want to log on and have fun, and are more than capable of slinging you-know-what with the best of 'em. Editing the post, I made it sound like we are kinda sticks in the mud, lol, this is most certainly not the case. We are easy going and are hardly ever offended by jokes or language, we are just looking for a really flexible Kinship. ;)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings Landroval,
I've recently relocated to this wonderful server and am looking to get more immerse in the fabulous community you've got over here. My current 'main' is a 36 elven minstrel by the name of Rodariel, but should transfers open up again I'm likely to bring over my 65 warden (same name) from Firefoot. I did so enjoy the warden but never felt like I fit in on firefoot.
I'm ideally looking for a friendly and casual kin of adults that understands you sometimes have to go afk as life trumps dungeons now and then. I generally solo but am actively trying to group more this time through to see more of the world. I have little to no interest in raids as a wow refugee that grew tired of the 'raid or nothing else counts' environment over there. In addition, while I am on the east coast I have crazy work hours that inconsistently scatter my play time from early mornings to late nights and all points in between, depending on the day
While not an active roleplayer I do respect it. Above able on that front I'm a huge fan of immersion and Tolkien's world. I really want a kin that has a naming policy to avoid outlandish or lore breaking character names.
Drop me a line here or in game at Rodariel and I'd love to hear about your crew.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello All.
Character Info
Name: Bels / Race: Man / Class: Captain / Level: 13
Activities I'm Considering: I'm a big fan of being around RP folks, but I've never given it a try myself. Probably a bit timid about whether I can contribute anything or not, but I'd be willing to give it a try.
I would eventually like to do some raiding, but I'm not a big PvP guy.
Hours: Usually at least an hour a day, sometimes much more. Generally evenings US central time.
Play style: I just recently came back to LOTRO (I subscribed for a month back before it went free to play) so I don't know that I've found my exact playstyle, but in other MMO's I've generally enjoyed running instance/dungeon content above most other activities. I'm solo/quest grinding a lot right now in an attempt to level.
Various other information: I would like a group of relatively older folks who are friendly. I might need some guidance as I'm a relative noob to both LOTRO and Tolkien's setting. Like I said I have a lot of respect for the RP community and wouldn't mind giving it a whirl, but I'm also open to non-rp kins as long as they are respectful of the RP community. I would also like a kin with a naming policy so I don't end up running around with "xxxDUDEkillah77xxx".
Personal Information: Age 27 / Time Zone US Central
Thanks all and please send me a mail or an IM if you think I might fit in with your group.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
hey all
been grinding it out alone, but am definitely missing out on fun parts of this game by not being in a kin - I want in!
Main is Marthanor, Lvl 31 LoreMaster of the race of Men (Explorer vocation).
I've been doing a lot of things solo, but like the grouping when I've been able to. I'm a bit of a completionist, but am also curious to get into roleplaying and pvp (and raiding too, if it doesn't involves use of a mic).
I'm on regularly, but not super heavy - 5-10 hours a week. Would prefer a relaxed mid-sized, respectful, mature kin (I'm over 30).
(I also have a lower level hobbit minstrel, but I keep getting distracted by alt toons, so I'm trying to focus on my main)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm looking for an old-timer's kinship for relaxed and social teaming. Here's the details:
Aethwin, level 25 Minstrel (Race of Man, Tinker.)
I've soloed to now but I love experiencing content and now that I'm at the Barrows level I'm eager to jump into instances. I admit I'm nervous though - I've never played a healing class and the middle of a fight in the Great Barrow seems a bad place to muddle through an unfamiliar team interface and randomly mash buttons. I want my teammies to live!
I haven't RPed in-game yet but I'm RP friendly and up for light to medium RP. I am a lifelong Tolkien nerd however so I know the lore! I'm not a huge fan of PvP but I'll give it an honest try.
I play, um, a lot. I'm around afternoon to fairly late night Eastern time, overlapping with Pacific primetime hours.
In terms of playstyle, I happily solo while chatting, I enjoy instance runs, exploring, crafting and deed collecting. I find grinding/farming boring. Some nights I may just find a stage and play music to passersby while sipping tea. I've just recently started playing around with .abc files and would love to play with a band some time! I've never raided in this game but I'd be interested when I get to those levels.
I'm new to modern LotRO but I was in early beta and I'm very happy that the elves are no longer bald. :P I have a VIP account but don't have Moria yet. I have MMO experience in other games (City of Heroes - supergroup leader, global channel operator, multiple level 50s, lots of raid experience. WoW - level 80 Mage. Raid-ready but dang I hated that game.)
I'm interested in an kinship with an older average age level. I'm over forty, and would enjoy people whose age and life experience is closer to my own. If your kinship is broadminded and social, if you have zero tolerance for jerks and griefers, if you think gaming is as much about the journey as the destination, then maybe we're a fit.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Chasend, Warden born in the Dale-lands, lvl 35 at time of post
I am an adult looking for a social to adventuring RP kin. Only kins of lawful non-chaotic goals inquire please. Also, a major factor is trying to find a kin with a great name as I have to see it below my name whenever I play.
I generally adventure solo and grind out deeds, charging headlong into battle with any enemy of the free peoples. I would like to group up to experience ALL of the instances LoTRO has to offer.
I am looking for adventuring companions to share a laugh and a conversation but also to do some serious destruction of evil and its minions.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Gohankuten Level 26(soon to be 27) Elf Hunter Armsman
I mainly solo but I have found doing GBs fun but it takes ages to get a group together. I don't like RP so I would prefer to be in a kinship that either doesn't require RP or has very little RP. I play at least an hour a day but most of the time it's more. I live in the US in the Central time zone. I am a college student that will be graduating with my bachelors in a year's time so sometimes my classes will result in less play time.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello,
I am looking for a kinship.
Character name: Legrintail
Race: Elf
Class: Hunter
Current Level: 34
Roleplaying preference: Medium
Raiding: Occasional
PvP: Occasional
Hours per week: 0 - 14
Playstyle: Lazy
RL age: 30
Time zone: EST
I'm looking for kinship that can offer grouping and RP, in that order.
My playtime is dictated by real life, and I can only play sporadically. I am likely to play every night one week, then disappear entirely the next week. My playtimes are most likely to range from 9 - 10pm EST until midnight or 1am. Sometimes, I will be in-game, but looking to solo instead of group.
I have been playing MMORPGs for over a decade, starting with MUDs, moving to the Realm, then EQ1, then EQ2. However, I'm new to LotRO, and I'd love a kinship that is willing to offer occasional advice to a newbie.
From an RP standpoint, my character has a vanilla Elven backstory. However, she is affected by nightmares and visions of the coming evil. She sleepwalks as though possessed, and this might sometimes lead her down a dark path. Most of the time, you'd never know it, she'd be Lawful Good. Still, I would like a kinship that will not give me the boot the first time she kills and eats a Hobbit.
I have no problems staying IC for long periods of time. I also have no issue with dropping OOC to discuss game mechanics, or even just to indulge in general chatter.
I can listen to voice chat, but I don't currently have a microphone.
Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Reavier, Elf, Rune Keeper, level 17
- I roleplay, and will consider PvP and raids at a higher level.
- depends on my work schedule, but usually quite a bit.
- Playstyle: definitely explorer or grinder(for the little titles and such)
- I haven't written Reavier's bio yet, it's very vague as of now, so it can be moldable to fit in better with the Kinship, the only thing so far is that while he's very kind, he has a horrible temper.
- Optional - real age is 18, time zone is eastern standard.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Character Name: Thagdor Hammersmasher
Race: Dwarf
Level: 16 and rising
Class: Guardian
Heavy Roleplayer
I'm looking for either an active Dwarven Kinship or a heavy RP Guild that is welcoming of us Dwarves
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Two of us: Hildrun the Lore-Master, and Jeha the Guardian; both human and currently level 36. We are in the US and usually play most evenings, and almost always together. Away from the computer we're both 29, and married.
We would like a light/medium RP kin; it's important to us that there are people around who are chatty and friendly in an OOC capability too, as we love being able to talk while we're off adventuring! We also enjoy leveling, exploring, and crafting, and will probably be interested in some end-game raiding eventually.
Our characters are firmly on the side of good, and could easily fit into mixed-race kin (we're both especially fond of hobbits!). I especially have a lot of roleplaying experience both on the computer and off, and would be willing to help with storylines and so on in the future.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Galadrilas, Elf, Hunter, and Level 8 and I have a hobbit Furndo, Burglar (on Brandywine, he's level 15 but since I'm switching to Landroval, he's now just beginning *sob*haha)
- I'm looking for a medium/heavy role-play. I've roleplayed before in my life but this is my first time of a game like this. I want to stay in character and develop my characters (their background stories will continue to change as I do more LOTR research =P and interact with others in the game).
- I play as much as I can during the week, But if I am busy, then obviously I won't be online.
- I can't explain my playstyle but I like to explore Middle Earth. I'm not much into fighting, but I don't mind it. I'm really excited to roleplay storylines, though. I also want to get to know other players, but sometimes I like to do things on my own or with a small group, too.
- I'm in Canada atm. I'm a really open-minded and flexible person.
