I'll look into this guys. Have you all tried fully restarting the launcher and tried logging in again?

Agreed... I refuse to use Twitter or Facebook to follow games. Turbine (nor any other company) does not need access to my friends list and personal info on facebook so I will NOT "like" them there nor do I wish to clutter my twitter feeds with innane posts about rohan/etc on Twitter.
Expecting us to use social media to get updates for a game when the launcher and official forums SHOULD be the most up to date info for outages/etc is wrongheaded.
<3 dont apologise! Blame the server techies! You should march down to their office this instant and demand they come on here in person to issue a full apology for not informing the masses of maintenance!
And if they are not at fault, blame the management! Systemic failures :o
I think all of us that work understand things like this can easily happen ^^ , but i guess the nature of gameworld magnifies that x1,000 .. your dealing with our leisure time here !!
In all seriousness thank you for informing us when you were aware, your day must only have started... mondays ay?? :p
S'okay. I remember when the PDP-11/70s at UC Berkeley would go down EVERY morning from four to six a.m. for PM.
That was how I got into computers: my boss (an urban developer analyst) had gotten himself an account and was planning to work on his working papers between four and six a.m. -- he was the earliest of early birds -- and just Couldn't Figure Out why he couldn't log on.
So he came in one day and said, "Here's my terminal, my modem*, my loginid, my password, all the manuals they gave me with my account, my 20,000-word paper on urban development in Seoul; can you get me a rough draft this week?" And that's how I learned nroff.
Though it's interesting to observe how MANY, and how many silly, new threads pop up on Suggestions when the servers aren't up.
______
*That's modem as in 300-baud acoustic coupler that you stuck your phone handset into. Ancient history.
I'm just having these terrible visions that when I finally do get to log back in, the mistake will cause my poor elf to be wearing a pink dress and a tiara.
Or.... that could just be the side effects of the Forsaken keg, not sure which.
And if that doesn't work, blame the clerics!
Hey, it works in D&D based games, I don't see why it shouldn't work in real life....
I am still unable to login. I variously receive messages saying "Unable to connect to World Queue", "No account associated with that username", and a straight error upon login in the launcher. I have tried quitting and restarting it to no avail.
One time I actually got into my server (Crickhollow), but it froze at the initial loading screen, giving me an error about not being able to get account information.
Edit: I finally got in game. Seems to be working now after the hiccups.
Well, they say the login servers are available, but I still can't get in. I am getting logged in, but then I receive an error that says: "General error accessing your account information". Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
I was getting the 'no account' message for a bit but it cleared up after I restarted the client just a moment ago. Gotta love mondays...
Bad part is... it's now too late to play as I must get to work.
Yup, and now I get a successful connection... followed by a black screen that says:
General error accessing your account information.
Try again later, and contact tech support if the problem persists.
Quit.

Last night everything was fine.
And yes, I would appreciate that these 'maintenance' periods, which seem to take place more regular now, are announced ahead of time.
This might help.
Unable to connect to World Queue.
Please try again [ERROR 50000]
Lifetime account from 3/1/09, login says:
"The username entered does not have an active "LOTRO" subscription. Please try another username."
Ok everyone, we are extending our downtime for another hour to 12:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT). However, I have been informed that the various errors that people have been encountering (World Queue 50000 and "No Active Subscription") should be resolved.
But, because we are extending our maintenance, our login servers may be unavailable for some users. Once you get in, you will be fine and will be able to play the game normally. However, if you catch the login servers while they may be under maintenance, you will not be able to get past the launcher.
Well, logged in on fora and account wihtout problem.
What I´d like to know is how the eff did the rest of the posters here even manage logging in to complain in this thread. ;)
I am able to sucessfully login again.
And yes, auto-login FT-"effin"-W :)
Currently receiving World Queue Errors trying to login to Arkenstone
Try closing and completely restarting your launcher. If that does not work, try rebooting your machine. That usually clears this type of error after a maintenance window.
Additionally, today's maintenance is complete, and all servers should be available. Thank you for your patience!
Same problem here, can't login to Snowbourn or Elendilmir.
