Thanks for your answers, Jadzi!

(Also, I should note that as it stands now in Beta, the current restrictions on what you can add to the wardrobe are being removed. You'll no longer need to be able to equip a piece to add it. So, for instance, a soloing minstrel could find a piece of heavy armor they like and use it cosmetically. )
That would be nice if it goes live.

Alot of the usual bad style or not fitting head-gear there. We already have Cowboyhats in middle-earth, Yeeeha *sigh*, so now I see we will get 1930's Gangster hats as well with a twist (top hanging down) . Oh well. *sigh*
HOWEVER I do like the the one on 2nd row, 5, 6 and 7 in ALOT. Looks like a really nice fitting helmet for middle-earth and an age of swords and bows. :)
Also like 1st row, 1, 2 and 3 in and 4th row 5, 6 and 7 in, a bit. Seems appropriate as well.
Oh well taste is still only taste, not facts and very personal.

In terms of medieval and early renaissance period costume history this batch of head gear is one of their more accurate ones. I like the helm in A2 (column A row 2) the best but none of the others are really all that out of place. The hats in A1, A4, B1, B3, and C are all pretty much straight out of costume history text books.
Beyond mantled hoods and variations on stocking caps there's not a lot of variety daily-wear ancient and medieval Northern European head wear. Other than the hood you typically had the phyrgian bonnet (what the Smurfs wear), a cone-shaped hat (Santa Claus), or a simple stocking cap.
Personally, what I'd like to see for future "Light Armour" designs would be fewer caps and hoods and more circlets, diadems, and helms made from lattice work or horn. That is, helms made from bronze or iron frames with cow horn plates. Not helms with horns.
Re: Show us your favorite cosmetic outfit
There are some really fabulous cosmetics in Rise of Isengard from simple yellow quest rewards, as others have shown. Here is an outfit I put together for my Minstrel.

I love the leggings and shoulders so much that I used them on my OTHER Minstrel, too!

I'm really pleased with the look of expansion items.

It is! LOL, I actually am quite glad I will no longer feel like I've stolen some poor hobbit's door...

That would be--Traveller's Hood (store), Cotton shoulder guards (crafted), the Lossoth crafted (tailor) reputation gear* (Leijona Armour, Leijona Gloves, Leijona Leggings), and quest boots that I don't quite remember (I think Boots of the Ruin-Hold, but there are other boots with the same model--I know the boots do not dye "straight" and you have to fiddle with different colors to get a certain effect).
The Lossoth reputation crafted gear recipes require certain rep to just buy the recipe and then the crafted gear pieces themselves require minimum Lossoth rep just to wear. This is the medium set, which isn't in the Turbine store (the light set is).

Ah, sorry, yeah, the chest, gloves and boots are all OD pieces for Burglars, while the rest of it is new.

Thank you for answer.
Rats, I really liked those but with RoI it will be hard to get a group for outdated gear...

That's the Lawgiver's Robe from the store with the Raven Mask and Cloak of the Raven from the halloween festival. I like this look for my burglar.

They really should consider making the raid gear as outfits. Just leave the newest of the newest for raiders to enjoy and stand out (if need be :p)

Devs released ceremonial versions of some gear but to make it distinctive they applied a different dying pattern to them, which gives an undesirable result in many cases. Still, a good idea.

Do you mean there's new ceremonial versions in the beta or do you mean the current live ones (as I recal only _raid_ sets released in outfits are Rift head pieces, rest ceremonial are from some common instance loot or quest reward stuff)

I meant current Live. Aside of rift headgear cosmetic, I believe there is an Annuminas ceremonial set as well.

Ah right. Annuminas have no actual raid though ;) Those sets could be farmed with fragment drops outside before, fellowships made it a bit faster when doing the instances. I prefer the current, farming fragments was a killer ;P
Re: Show us your favorite cosmetic outfit
It looks like I have a slim chance of finishing my actual BG set nowadays, so releasing it as a "ceremonial" cosmetic would be something I'd love to have. Even as as store item.

I'm sure there will be more runs once we start hitting 75. I've already talked to my DN raid group and we want to move on to BG, but it's too hard at the current level. We're mostly after the cosmetic aspect of the gear and the Meta-Deeds anyways.

Still quite a killer to farm those specific outfit pieces with alts that are only for specific classes. That's why ceremonial cosmetics would be good that there would be a optional way to obtain them .. because now you just - can't (well 99% of us)

I agree, ceremonial versions would be just great to have. And I'd prefer that we could reasonably earn them in-game instead of being left on a mercy of Tstore.

I made a new thread for this as it's a bit rude to discuss it in this thread even that I think the subject is good.

Elven knight breastplate, Sellsword parts, Silver star cloak. I love this cloak, I've got it at level 30 and still haven't found any better.
