Nobody did. On Bullroarer testing it took minutes at most, including shared account stuff. Nobody heard about more than tens of minutes during the few days of live testing between remaining open worlds, but presumably far fewer people attempting it then since most would be staying. Has anyone else had trouble with being unable to interact with housing brokers after transferring their home owners? Myself and 3 others are currently having this trouble, knowing that we should have items in escrow. -edit: I logged out and back in, then the items were in my housing storage.
Other than this, it's just a slow process. I do recommend carefully reading your in game mail concerning your house before taking the money, as it gives you information such as your old address and the number of house upkeeps you have credits for. Most of us probably have enough money to buy the house before taking the money anyway (the mail will disappear once you take your money - this is something I wish it didn't do).
i can't even transfer my hunter just says transfer fail some a error message in the e-mail getting error code #L4778 in the e-mail
Yesterday I was able to trasfer 2 toons + shared storage (no kinship) from Elend to Gladden.
It was during the rush hour so the process took 3hs 30min but it completed perfectly.
No toons & no items lost :)

Transferring from E to Ark, my main (also a kin leader) transferred fine. I then transferred the rest of my characters without thinking to delete my name place-holders. Result: 17 characters, 11 slots, and a selection panel wanting me to select which characters should appear. Seems good... but I notice no creep names appear.
I enter monster play, where I'm able to delete my name place-holder creeps. Seems good...
I return to the free people screen, and my 'select which characters to slot' accept button has greyed out! So has my 'enter middle earth button', so I can't enter on my main either. I tried entering world on a creep but that returns me to the free people screen with the overlaid message 'an error has occurred'.
I logged out and waited several hours. The problem remains. Anyone got any helpful ideas?
There have been reports of up to four hours delay in transfers, perhaps more time may be expected. Please make a Ticket to Turbine and report the issue.
My main (who is the kin leader) took a couple of hours to transfer yesterday but the rest of the alts were transfered in a bunch and took somewhere between three and four hours to complete. The 'ban' did show up on the forum but I have no idea for how long since it was gone by the time I got back here. Scared myself half to death by not waiting for the email on my main, trying to log in early and she was nowhere to be found. Because of that trauma, I waited until I got the email on the rest of the toons; my heart can't take too much of that! All in all, things went smoothly and all toons and stuff is moved and accounted for.
Also noted that the automatic joining of the kin worked just fine for all that came after the leader, as did the common storage and wardrobe of my herd of alts.

FYI, I never got an email saying the transfer was completed. I tried to log into game once the ban was lifted and voila! Transfer was complete. This was about 7 hours after I hit the transfer button. No idea how long it took, but I went off and did other stuff while waiting and wasn't checking often.
All of mine went through fine except 1. I have yet to receive any type of email so I don't know what the error code is on the toon who won't transfer. I will have to open a ticket on him.
I transferred my one little level 10 on Elendilmir to Arkenstone, and it took 4 hours before I got an email. This gives me an idea what to expect when I start the move of characters when it is Riddermark's turn.
There is one thing that might concern me: Is it possible for a kinship member to start the transfer AFTER I started the kin leader transfer, yet arrive on the target server sooner because he/she has a low level, less complicated toon that may be transferred faster? Are multiple transfers running in parallel, or is it a complete serial queue?
In any case, my plan is:
1) Kin leader and shared items of Account #1.
2) 15 minutes later, all toons and shared items of Account #2.
Wait....
3) Log on to kin leader, test things, check things.... add toons from Account #2 back to kin if they didn't come over by themselves....
4) Transfer the remaining toons from Account #1, while (hopefully) playing Account #2.
It seems possible, but my guess based on my own transfers so far is that the main factor impacting time is the number of transfer at the same time / in the queue, not how complex your own transfer is. I moved a kin leader within the first hour and it took 45 mins. I heard times as short as a few mins at the outset from a few. Then people ran into the 2 hour wall, which turned into the 4 hour wall. My own complex shared storage and 6 other alts transfer at 6:30 pm took just around 4 hours. I bet you see fairly short times from a person transferring today on E. So my best recommendation is look at what time they opened on E (I think it was around 11:30 AM; a forum post from one person saying it was up covered that), and be ready as quickly as possible to pull the trigger on Riddermark. That should reduce your time the most.Quote:

So what are the current wait times? The last info seen from Turbine is three-quarters of a day old and indicates four hours wait, is that still the case and folks should hold off transferring for now still?
And is the system parallel or serial based upon time of initiating the transfer? Should kin-mates delay a long while after kin leaders transfer?
EDIT: Info posted below, transferring may be out of order if kin-mates transfer too soon (even two hours) after kin leader!!! This would mean loss of kin, loss of membership join date, loss of title/rank, etc.

1) I will create a new level 1 character on my current home server. Something starting with Aa or something that will make them appear near the top when sorted by Alphabet.
2) Before I transfer, I will send a kinship mail instructing people to add this level 1 character to friends list.
3) When the kinship leader transfers successfully, I will then DELETE that character from the server, automatically removing it from everyone's friendslist.
4) That will be the signal that it is safe to transfer over and be guaranteed automatic joining of the kinship.
As with most of Baldrick's cunning plans however, there is bound to be something I have not thought of....

No characters will be deleted. Names might change if they are inactive for 1 year or more, but you should not see any characters deleted. Of course, when you move characters from server A to server B, they will no longer exist on server A.Quote:

Currently Riddermark is not moving so it is just open so no change
When it gets time to move it could be changed to Riddermark Transfering
When it is finally closed it changes to Riddermark: Closed to game play
When these forums are about to be removed, a new forum title can be made called
Closed Servers: message your returning players here.
This way kin leaders can still post to people on extended leave who missed the kin motd/mail when the kin was still on their closed server.
The idea is solid and would be a benefit for all needing to know where everybody went and my appended suggestion for those who were not available before the kin moved.

Yes, I worry about people missing the train. I've missed a train or two in my life and it is not pleasant.
The FAQs say that housing deco will transfer with the house owner into escrow. Bought new house. I cannot find any of my housing items anywhere. I have not yet transferred any characters other than house owner.
