Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Ferndoc Sweetleaf, Hobbit Burglar
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 33
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Landroval
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): I am in the CST
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I mostly play solo. I'm looking for a little RP with this new character. I'm not a casual gamer, but neither am I "hardcore". I mostly spend time questing (leveling) and working on my crafting.
MMO games you’ve played: I've played all the big ones. Ultima, EverQuest, Dark Age of Camelot, and WoW. I've played some smaller ones too, but not a lot.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a mature player who is easy going and will spend a lot of time working for the betterment of the kinship (loading up the kin house chests with goods, decorations, etc.). I'm online during the day, so I'm available when a lot of other players are not. I have a lot of MMO experience and am very familiar with Middle Earth lore.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm looking for a light to medium-heavy RP kin. I like to roleplay some, but I don't want to be yelled at if I say something OOC or not entirely in line with lore.
I'm also looking for either an exclusively Burglar kin, or an exclusively Hobbit kin... or even both, if it's out there.
Thanks for contacting me, and hopefully I'll be a-burglin' for your kin soon!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Taelanor, Elf Champion
Age: 37
Preferred server(s): Elendilmir
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): US CST, but schedule is so variable it doesn't really matter. I often share hours with Aussies and Euros.
Playstyle: I'm pretty new to LOTRO still, but I've really been enjoying my soloing and early crafting. I'm not much for PVP in general though I'm open to giving it a shot. I'd like to run raids and end game content now and then when I get to a level for it. Game time is limited by real life, but I log in at least a couple times a week. I've been known to RP, though I have a strong preference for written RP (ie, forum style stuff) over chat. Usually while I'm in game I don't want to RP my character.
MMO games you’ve played: The usual stuff like Tribal Wars and so on, not so many games of this style. Played a good bit of DDO for a few months.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm literate, laid back, and fun. If I do get into writing some RP here, I'm pretty decent as an RP writer. I'm willing and eager to learn, and I know that's something I can't just expect my guildies to do for me all the time-- I can't just ask every question of guildies, sometimes I have to go look it up in forums or wiki.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm a very casual gamer and not interested in a guild that has a lot of demands on my schedule. I'll be around when I can, and when I can't, I can't. Any guild that has mandatory meetings, raids, etc, isn't going to fit for me. I'm not interested in guilds that are full time RP, though I could be interested in some written RP-- this is not a must for a guild though. Basically I'm just interested in a laid back group that will help fill out my LOTRO experience. Games are more fun with friends, after all. ^^

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I'm 30, with no preference on server, and too many alts than I ought to have across four servers from the last two years of playing off and on. I'll probably make a new character to suit the kin that's the best fit.
Prefer a server with an RP bent, but it isn't necessary if the kin is interesting.
I'm PST in Washington, USA, but I work from home and can be online at all sorts of odd hours.
I am normally solo, but I appreciate having a kin to assist with small fellowship quests. I tend to never use LFF. I'm more casual than hard-core, I enjoy the crafting system and I'm interested in RP.
I've played WoW, I never enjoyed it all that much and didn't go very far into it (mid 60's was the highest any of my characters got), I've played DDO very minimally. LoTRO is the only MMO I've gotten heavily into. I'm a long-time MUD player (basically a text-version of these sorts of games, for those who have never heard of them) so I have a lot more experience with RP and player-org development than I do with most MMO skills.
I've got 10+ years as a roleplayer, albeit not in the MMO community. I'm intelligent and laidback, generous to kinmates and a quick learner. Also, I'm willing and capable of assisting in whatever way I can to build the kin.
I'm looking for roleplay-focused literate adults with a casual bent. I'm a busy mom and student, so I can't devote the sort of on-call hardcore time investment that some folks can. I prefer the elven/human lore but could have fun with any of the race/class combos. I'm open to groups still in formation or more established ones, so long as they have an idea of the focus/purpose of the kin from an RP perspective. I'm not a walking book of Tolkien-lore, but I grew up reading his work and I can dig through resources reasonably well.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
AndyWilliams Level 38 Elf Guardian
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
35
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
I am on Brandywine
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
EST - Pennsylvania, USA
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Generally speaking, I play with my fiance', who is a level 35ish Elf Hunter named Mittenkitty. We level slowly, as we like to do alot of quests and exploring. I also am heavy into crafting and have levelled my armorsmith up farily well - including my standing with the guild. I can make the rare armour a couple tiers higher than me. When she is not online, I will either craft or work some deeds. I am interested in finding a kin to run some of the group content with, especially as we get into the higher levels. It will be new to me, but I am eager to try it out and learn.
MMO games you’ve played:
Everquest Online Adventures , Final fantasy XI, World of Warcraft, Everquest II
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Well, we bring a laid back and helpful approach to the game. It is used as our relaxation time and as a diversion from work, etc. So the biggest thing to us is having fun, exploring new things, and making gradual progress. We are easy going and always willing to help out others in need.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I am looking for a friendly group of people who look out for one another. Folks who enjoy all aspects of the game - including end game - but who also keep things in perspective and value fun/comraderie above all else. It is also imperative that my fiance' and I would be a package deal. I doubt she would do as much of the "hardcore" type stuff, but she enjoys playing. And since it is a way for us to spend time together, we would want to join any kin together.
Thank you all for your time - have a great day.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
A couple of my friends and I have been playing LOTRO for about 6 months in a small fellowship. We've enjoyed the small group but could probably use the help of some mature kinsmen, as we're all new to MMO's. I'm a level 40 hunter, we've got a level 37 minstrel, and two high 30's level guardians. We're friendly and like helping out others when we can. We all have families and other responsibilities so we are usually on 2-3 times a week.
We're on Windfola. Our interests are Questing, Crafting, and a bit of skirmishing. Nothing too serious, we're all in it for fun.
Open to suggestions - thanks!

[Landroval] - Guardian
Murrmur: Dwarf Guardian lvl 28
Age: 31
Location: Central Time US
Playstyle: I have been playing MMOs for over 8 years and used to be pretty hardcore/raid-oriented in WoW; have played tanks past few years almost exclusively, very familiar with the role. Looking for a little more casual and relaxed atmosphere with a knowledgeable and mature player base. I enjoy the content as well as crafting, already have my guy up to master jeweler - mainly though alts (48/50 Warden/RK)
MMO games you’ve played: GW, FFXI, WoW (since release)
Why kinships should be interested in you: Still pretty fresh to lotro, so do not have too much to offer besides my demeanor and prior experience in MMOs. Given some time, I could be sculpted into an asset =P
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Looking for an established Kinship with an experienced and mature player base. I can do some RP. Am also interested in a Kinship that is actively instancing. Basically looking for a fun group of ppl that are ... not 13 years old. I am a grad student, so down to BS and enjoy discussions/debates. Looking for some ppl to get to know while lvling up in lotro.
If any Kins are interested, pls message in game. Ty.
PS: I also have a Mumble server if prefer to chat.

Character Information:
Creo 65 LM Tailor
Cretin 65 MIN Scholar
Creolle 65 CAPT Metalsmith
Creosotic 65 GRD
Creopatra 65 HNT Jeweller
Crebane 51 CMP Weaponsmith
Ruined 42 RK Cook
Crena 23 WDN Woodworker
Cremate 16 BRG Farmer
All crafting vocations are Kindred with their respective Guilds.
Age: 54
Server: Landroval
Location: New South Wales, Australia
Playstyle: Solo, Group, PvE, (some) RAIDs, Casual, Crafter
MMOs: LOTRO and Rift
About me:
I started playing LOTRO about 4 years ago at the suggestion of a friend. I have been a Lifetime VIP sub ever since. LOTRO was my 1st MMO and it's taken me some time to understand the mechanics of the game and MMO's in general. I'm no expert by any means and I play for the fun of it. My reflexes may not be as fast as a teenager but I try my best and if I can have a laugh then I consider I've been successful.
I am a casual player who loves to craft. I'm achievement-oriented and will do the grind required to improve my characters. Of all my characters, I think I prefer to play my mini.
I travel a bit with my work so my play time is not always predictable. I try to play as much as possible and at the moment I'm introducing my son and his partner to the game.
... anyway, enough about me, what do 'you' think about me? :D
Preferred Kinship:
I was an officer of a (small) US-based kin for sometime and I still have contact with my friends. (I have recently moved back to Australia.) We'd get together offen to help each other with class quests, instances, skirmishes, raids, etc., etc. but it was always about the chat in vent and the laughter and friendship. We understood each others skill levels and although we'd often put #### on each other it was always in good fun.
I'd like to find a mature (in age and approach) kin that enjoys having a good time and isn't all-consumed with outcome of the raid, don't get me wrong, I love to beat a difficult boss and it pisses me off if we wipe repeatly, but at the end of the day it's a game and games are supposed to be fun. :o
Hmmm, I seem to have waffled on a bit here, sorry bout that. Anyways, let me know if you think I might be a good fit for your kin and hopefully I'll see you ingame.
Cheers, Creo.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Iridot Fleetfoot, Hobbit, Hunter
Age: 21
Preferred server(s), if any: Laurelin, though I don't mind starting on a new server
Location: UK
Playstyle: Group, RP
MMO games you’ve played: Tonnes, I find one play it for a while and then get bored of it and move on to another, LotRo is the only one that I've stayed interested in!!
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I enjoy meeting new people, and am a very active player. I love taking part in every kind of event that I can be it PvP or just fishing. I'm always ready to give a helping hand to those who need it.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Preferabley a mixed race RP kin, with general and/or RP events. I don't really mind about the lifespan rank, but obviously a kin that's been around a while and know what it's doing would be nice... Other than that, I'm not really fussy =P

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character: Thrangorin Steelhilt, level 45 Dwarf Champ
Age: 19
Server: Snowbourn
Playstyle: Solo, Group, Casual-ish, Non-RP
Location: GMT, I'm usually on afternoons until early morning.
MMOs Played: None before LOTRO
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Well, I may not have played MMOs prior to LOTRO, but I have played LOTRO since almost the beginning, although its a strange story as up until F2P I just bounced between several trial accounts, due to not being able to afford a subscription. As such this is the first character I've advanced beyond level 25 or so, but I'm not really new to the game. As for me personally, well, I'm easy to get along with, and will always give advice or assistance to anyone if I can. Also, just because I couldn't afford a subscription back then doesn't mean I can't afford stuff now, I have every QP and Legendary Isengard, and am working my way towards getting all Skirmishes too.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: A laid back, friendly kinship that isnt overly centred on end-game raiding (I may have played this game a while, but I'm no raider - at least, not yet anyway) and basically just somewhere to talk and chat while playing the game. Since I created this character on Anduin by mistake, conversing was very limited, especially after the one English speaking kinship I found disbanded, because of that I transferred here, and now I'll be able to become more involved with the game rather than attempting to solo everything :P Also, preferrably a Non-RP server, not really my cup of tea,

I'm a level 14 Human Minstrel, so, I don't know if that has to do with anything.

Prefer a kin who is casual and mature, not interested in a kin that have names that is not part of the Lore of the Lord of the Rings (based via the Movies and books). (English Speaking Kin plz). Prefer Kin in the Pacific/Mountain Timezone area.
Thank you...
Hello, Shadalarion!
Just wanted to let you know, our kinship leadership has changed, for the time being. The defacto head is Talondir, on Elendilmir server. Our recruiter is still jeffm (in-game Gloriel).
I am 47 years of age, playing since closed beta. Arryen is my highest level character, followed by Dorenna. I usually log in Stinn, my "merchant," whenever I play, so that's a good choice if you wanted to send an in-game message.
I'd love to play with you, wherever you go for kinship. Please look for us!

Location: EST
Playstyle: Casual/exploratory/grouping/helping
MMO games you’ve played: All of them, just WoW for her.
We're going to be new to LotRO, but I have a lot of MMO experience. She's a huge fan of LotR. We're both over 21 and I work and go to school, so we're using this as a way to do something together. Looking for a decently sized casual-ish/family kinship with plenty of people to talk to on teamspeak3 or ventrilo. We're USE timezone. RP kinship possible option! Thanks!
P.S. been together for over 5 years, no drama.

Dwarrowdelf
Aldfrith, Level 11 Loremaster/Historian
Age: 25
Location: Arizona (US Pacific Time in summer, Mountain in winter)
Playstyle: I play solo most of the time, try to stay current on the epic quests and go at my own pace, enjoying Middle Earth rather than power-leveling. I have a main character nearing level 52 and a second char at 18. This is my third toon on Dwarrowdelf, and my first LM.
MMO games you’ve played: this is the first.
Why kinships should be interested in you: I'm the kind of kinswoman who will teleport to the other side of Eriador to help newbie kinnies with a quest I did weeks before, or who will go out and chop wood just to treat it and send to a kinsman in need. :) My hunter and my warden are both in active kins, and are prone to these charitable acts. My LM is too much of a newbie to make useful things yet (just made his first pot of gold dye yesterday), but I'll get him there.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking for a kin that has active players at all times of the day, since I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. I like to role-play, but I'm not obsessive about it, so I won't flip out if I see rl comments in the chat window. ;) All I need are some friendly kinsmen who like to skirmish once in a while, and who offer advice for class newbies when we need it. Parties and events at the kinship house welcome, but not required.

Wife & me looking ...
... if there was a kinship that was laid back, liked to play casually and would help each other out with the crafting of difficult items (symbole of morale, second/first age legendary items etc.) and with raids without any "time duty assignments".
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Dovakhim, Elf, Guardian, Lvl 72
Gearwe, Human, Hunter, Lvl 53
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
40 and 27
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
Maiar. Could change if some kinship would be VERY interesting for us.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Austria / Europe, GMT + 1
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Solo, small group, casual, crafter, might play end-game raids if relaxed partners available.
MMO games you’ve played:
Only LOTRO & Runes of Magic ... but the latter was quite disappointing.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
2 relaxed and creative people, well ... a lvl 72 gard still available - plus a hunter who will also reach the higher levels in the months to come - who work fine as a team.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
Well, "a kinship that was laid back, liked to play casually and would help each other out with the crafting of difficult items (symbole of morale, second/first age legendary items etc.) and with raids without any "time duty assignments".

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Vaenia 32 Elf Hunter
Rhiaven 22 Race of Man Minstrel
Iseaultt 14 Race of Man Champion
Age (some kinships have real life age limits): 26
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Elendilmir
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): Singapore, GMT +8
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
I'm still pretty new to LOTRO. Its a world with a lot to explore and learn, which I like. I'm more of a casual, social PvE player, not into hardcore and extreme RP. I like questing and crafting, and prefer to interact with people in a game, rather than accomplish everything solo. I'm not a VIP player, and do not have many quest packs or expansions as I'm still rather new to this MMO.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I'm mature and polite, like to interact and help others. I'm familiar with participating and interacting in a gaming community, as I'm still an active member of other communities.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
A kinship that has mature players, preferably adults that don't whine and spam etc. Not a hardcore group, and are friendly and willing to help others. Preferably an established kinship with good numbers, but does not need to be a very big kinship. I am not in-game on a daily basis, as real life has to take precedence, so I'm looking for a kinship that does not require constant and frequent participation. An English-speaking kinship with players on at night (GMT +8 timing) would be great.
I am not always in-game, so any Guild recruiter who feels that I may be a welcome addition, please do private message me using the forums, and I will reply as soon as I can. Thank you! :D

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
As yet unknown. I am returning to the game after a long period of working a 7 day week, fortunately, I have some free time for the forseeable future, and what better way to spend it! Before I went away I did play guardian, and now im considering a few options, but as I see it in LOTRO, it is really irrelevant, the game is just as immersing and incredible whatever you play. My name will most likely be Tingham, however. Race...as yet I really dont know.
Age (some kinships have real life age limits): 22 (wow, im getting old).
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Any except Withywindle. (Tried it before, nobody on it!)
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): UK - Yorkshire.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Any and all. Im primairly on in the evenings and early hours. Im really just looking for a good group of people, I do tend to focus more on PvP once I get to later levels in a game, but every aspect of LOTRO is so superb, who knows.
Why kinships should be interested in you. I'm mature and happy to help out, I also have alot of experience with a wide Range of MMO's. I'm a steady regular player whos happy to try anything, and im extremely comfortable on Voice comms, I also have a resnoable comnanmd off Engrish!.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. As I say, any, but ideally im looking for a small tight knit english speaking community of people to chat and level with.
Thanks for your time folks.
Tingham

Greetings!
My Character name is Mustardz and he is a level 45 Dwarf.
Im 20 years old and in college.
I play on Meneldor!
I am located in Wisconsin and play mostly during the evening and the weekends.
I'm a casual player who wants to experience all of the game. Definitely looking to raid and hopefully find a Kin who hits the big ones!! I'm a group player all the way and will do my best to help anyone if they ask.)
I'm just looking for a kin who is cool with me being a student and understands that I have tests and homework but will try to get on as much as possible. I would be a great asset to any Kin as i am willing to help out anyone who needs it. I'm very friendly and up for anything mostly. Im really excited to hit the higher levels and get into some of the really good raid/instance content. Id love to find a Kin willing to hit up Thorog or Dragioch!
Hope I appeal to at least someone!!
Thanks

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Im a level 44 Elf Hunter, it's my first toon and this is my first MMO game I have been playing for 3 months and have had a Burglar Minstrel and Guardian before ive only kept the burg and hunter though. I'm 17 years old, 18 in February and although ive played on other servers I stick with Snowbourne. I'm in the UK and play mostly in the evenings, so thats like 7pm GMT
I prefer playing solo, other peoples game tactics sometimes frustrate me but i think ive just been in bad fellowships
Ive been in 4 kinships now all claiming to be 'friendly' 'enthusiastic' and 'helpful' but none so far have lived up to that, i still find myself calling upon people for help using LFF channel rather than my kin, and get no where fast it's frustrating I've only just finished all my GA quests! It makes this game quite tiring to play...
I also want a kinship who will help with my crafting, I'm always looking for a forester or spending so much money in the auction house seeing as no one uses the trade channel these days xD
I'm an amourer so i'd also be whilling to help others my metalsmith and prospecting are apprentice artisan and master, however my tailoring is forever stuck at apprentice expert :/
I just really want a helpful kin

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I am looking for a Kinship on Laurelin. What i am looking for is a kinship that has at least some regular events be that raiding, Ettens, quests or just doing slayer/exploration deeds. I have enjoyed playing LOTRO but these days i seem to playing solo 90% of the time and it has become a bit boring.
I am in the GMT + 0 time zone i don't mind RP as i have played on a RP world in the game Never Winter Nights for a long time. I have 2 alts a lvl 45 hunter and a lvl 44 minstrel.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):Tugin, lvl 36 dwarven guardian, Thegin, lvl 23 dwarven RK, Lasvin, lvl 16 human LM.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits): 35
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):Laurelin
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):Portugal (GMT)
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):Casual gamer, prefers PVE, questing, dungeons, etc. I usually can't play for extended periods of time, altough i do play almost on a daily basis.
MMO games you’ve played:Eve online, Everquest2, NWN (persistent world).
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a mature player, i like to help others and overall have fun in group activities.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): My preference is a kinship that practices light RP (meaning that people like to stay in character to keep the middle earth feeling but doesn't actually have to know the Silmarillion by heart), respects that RL comes first but that actually does something as a group, and the people in the kinship don't only think about soloing and getting fast to high levels (in my last experiences, the kinship's not more than a chat room with people soloing each in a different corner of ME).

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Brennidan, man, champion, atm lvl 20
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
29
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
Laurelin
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
I'm from the Netherlands, GMT+1, so anything around that timezone is fine.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
I switch my playtime between rp (medium/heavy) and normal play: soloing, PvE, group, questing, crafting and hopefully when my level is high enough also raiding. The only thing I don't like is PvP.
MMO games you’ve played:
Runescape, WoW, Cardea (textbased), Rift, Age of Conan
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I'm an avid player as far as work and real life lets me. Although I'm completely new to the game, I'm eager to learn and willing to help out others, wether it's crafting or helping out with quests. I'm a social person and always in for a chat. I'm also an addictive roleplayer, always in for rp'ing, regardless if it's just for ten minutes or an entire evening. I love coming up with new ideas for storybased rp and for (new) rp events.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
First off: a medium to large sized and active kinship. I've been in one for a few days, but being one of only three people online during any time, isn't what I'm looking for. I prefer kinships where there are at least five active members online when I log on during day- and/or nighttime.
Second: a fun, social and mature kinship where members are willing to lend a hand, wether it's through crafting or helping out with dungeons/questing and sort like. For me there is no point in joining a kinship when I'm afterwards left alone, especially since I'm new to the game and still have much to learn.
Thirdly: There has to be enough room for medium to heavy roleplay. I'm an avid roleplayer and I care much for regular rp events. The roleplay must be lore correct. If I would enjoy rp'ing a vampire or werewolf, I wouldn't be playing LotRO.

Your name, or character name and race:
Bucknard, Human, Gaurdian, 61
Age:
44
Preferred server:
Firefoot
Location:
Dallas Texas, Central (GMT -6)
Playstyle:
Mostly solo play so far. I am a Tinker (my sig is wrong, it should say "7 6 - 3 2 - 7 6"). I have been in several PUGs but am ususaly the highest level in those in places I have out leveled and get asked to PUG.
I would really like to do some Raids and group instances, but I have no experiances in thess.
MMO games you’ve played:
ALOT of them. My first MMO was Motor City Online (the MCO in my name) Beta to end. During that time, I played; Dark Age of Camalot, Star Wars Glaxies, Earth and Beyond... More recenly WOW, Star Trek Online, Conan, etc...
I played LotRO during Beta and +6 months of so. I stoped for a while, and then came back about 6 months ago. I am currently a VIP and have all expantions.
Why kinships should be interested in you:
To be perfectly honest, I'm not 100% sure I want a Kinship. I soloed most of my MMO life (except a short time on SWG). I miss the Fellowship quests and feel I am missing out on alot of content.
What do you offer kinships?:
I like to help when I can.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Tobiaus, 29 Human Champion
Age: 29
Preferred server: Laurelin [EN-RP]
Location: Massachusetts, (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time
Playstyle: Solo, Group Casual, PvP, PvE, RP
MMO games you’ve played: WoW, Everquest, DAoC, Warhammer, LOL, SWG, UO, MxO, ect.
Why kinships should be interested in you: I bring years of MMO play experience and RP experience to the table, thought I do not know the LOTR lore as well as most, I pick up on things quickly. I will jump into any ongoing storyline, and help out any player in need. My character has a developing storyline that is open to many possibilities.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I am looking for a medium-large sized active RP kinship that is open to mixed racial RP. I love being involved in developing storyline and am not opposed to starting up a general conversation if it will help move things along. I am also looking for a kin that is not to strict on activity. I do sign on and play as much as I can, however I do work two jobs, an overnight full-time and a day time part-time, so I would not like to get booted just because I haven't been on in a few days or because I missed a meeting. Social and friendly kins are also a bonus. :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I played in beta and for awhile after but left the game some time ago. I came back and thought it best to just start over on a new server.
Alot has changed but I am working it out. I am looking for a laid back casual kinship that i can learn the game (again) and grow with.
I currently am playing on Nimrodel as an elf rune-keeper named Sethborn, but i have started pretty much one of every character type.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character name and race (if known):
Have a few, on 1 server, with a few dotted around on some servers, have reached level 75 on 1 character with total maxed crafting. But willing to start from scratch for a great Kinship.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
43yrs old
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
Any depends on Kinship's server
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Australia, New South Wales.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Have for the most part soloed due to knowing no one. Well I am your typical friendly player that enjoys all aspect of Lotro.
MMO games you’ve played:
DDO, WoW, Runescape.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I have been playing the game a little while now. I love to help others out and enjoy having a drama free group of people. I have a great sense of humor and get along well with others. I try to learn & understand as much about the game as I can.
Just love the concept of LOTR's. I don't mind playing on Creep side either in pvmp, even thou its such a small area of play it really sucks you in even with being very repetitive, to get your maps.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I am looking for a kin that enjoys all aspect of Lotro, willing to help guide & teach/show, including raiding but doesn't take their runs seriously after all it is a game. Med or big size kin would be nice with enough people to do 6mans and 12mans, also some to level up with, so you get to know people in the Kin better, as this is the main aspect of a MMO & since this game is centered around a Fellowship. That likes to craft and has every craft aspect in game, wont mind crafting if I have mats. VERY SOCIAL and active kin chat. Kin that likes to help each other and treat each other like one big family. Voice is a must, as I'm no great typer & it makes it just so much easier & Drama free would be nice. Respect for others & Mature in there thinking without the trash & dribble that lots get sick of. So all in all the main thing is to have is Kin/Tribe grouping together from leveling/ranked & working together helping each other to achieve common or similar end results with having a few laughs along the way as laughter is what really makes the world go round. :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character name and race: Nariavathiel, level 31 Elven Hunter
Age: 25-35 range
Preferred server: Laurelin
Location: I am located in the United States, but have a fairly open schedule at this point.
Playstyle:
As of right now, I've been soloing most of the content, mostly due to not knowing many people in the game. I consider myself a casual player, I have several alts, but I'm interested in learning more about the grouping system and would like to at least see the raids as I get up to them. However, my primary interest is in RP, and I insist on keeping within lore as much as is possible in a game like this.
MMO games you’ve played:
I'm a WoW refugee. When the developers began to retcon their own lore, they broke my poor little elf rogue's heart, and when they railed the game and made it much too easy, I left, looking for a challenge elsewhere. Thankfully, I found more than I was originally looking for in this game.
Why kinships should be interested in you. What do you offer kinships?:
Firstly, I'll be honest here, the main thing I can offer is a willingness to learn. I'm fairly new to Lord of the Rings Online, although I'm a long-time Tolkien fanatic, having loved the books since I was very young. I have a lot of enthusiasm for the game so far, even if some parts of it literally scare me (the Old Forest, for example). I work hard to level my crafting skills, and am always willing to help by crafting gear or household items for other people, and although I don't fully understand the grouping maneuvers, I would love to learn to use them effectively so I can be more of a use in groups.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
I am looking for firstly a Heavy-RP, non-military based kinship, if possible. I would consider joining a Medium-RP, non-military based kinship, provided that the events that are held are fun and I mesh well with the established members of the kin. (I go into this understanding that it's MY job to find a place for myself within a kin, not the kin's job to conform to me.)
I would prefer an Elven kin or a mixed kin with mature members, mature referring to behaviour, not necessarily age. I would like it if the kin had a set of established rules that I could view and see for myself before joining, and if they would allow me to interact with them at a few events before either of us make a final decision, so that, should things not work out, neither of us lose anything in the long run. I have no strong feelings about the kin having a website, although I would prefer not to have to join a website unless I actually become a kin member, mostly due to the fact that I have too many passwords to remember as it is.
My apologies for this being so long-winded, but I feel that, the more detail I can provide, the easier it will be for those of you who run kinships to decide if I am a good fit for you before even messaging me. Thank you for reading this, and I hope to hear from someone soon.

Hi there, its not often i browse this thread as it crosses across all the servers but your post caught my eye when you mentioned Laurelin.
I will try to help a little and make a few suggestions based around the Elven RP kins i know.
The Vanimar - biggest Roleplaying Elven Kinship
Loth I Lonnath - they are the heaviest rp type of the elven kinships i feel, a small tight knit bunch. Very nice players.
Warband of Imladris - my own kinship, and i love it.
There are others who you see about with varying degrees of activity. All the above you can have a look at on the Laurelin Archives.
Good luck and have fun where ever your journey takes you.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
hi, i am new to the game and i am on Imladris. i am looking for a kinship to learn and grow with. i am not into role playing, i thinks its completely um...stupid. thats my opinion and i dont discourage others for it if thats what they like. i wanna learn this game and make it to end-game so i can start raiding. i am not necessarily looking for a raiding kinship atm, but i will be as soon as i can. if you are a raiding kin then great, but if you are not and it bothers you that one day i will leave to raid...dont bother me plz. i have played many mmorpg games and i have always been in one of the top raiding guilds and i will be there here as well, its what im into. i love to learn many classes, and become the best i can be on each class. i will choose between 1 or 2 classes that i enjoy the most but i will be very good on all of them. if this post has interested you at all, plz pm me here on the forums...i dont surf forums very often unless in studying something on a class mechanic or checking messages, so i will return ur message. since i am just starting i will be spending alot of time goin back and forth reading up on classes and quest so i will get it and reply usually within the hour it is recieved. thank you

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hello Friends!
My name is Tilmo, I'm a simple hobbit, as shire-folk tend to be. A bit young and green, I'm only just 30 years of age. I've just barely ventured out of the shire, but I've been bitten by the adventure bug! I'm a minstrel, so I'm anxious to see the world and learn new tales and legends to sing of.
I'm looking to find a kinship of like-minded free peoples to go adventuring with. I don't know what I can say about myself except that I do grow the best pipe-weed in Michel Delving, and I'd be glad to share it along with a tale or two over a tankard of ale with the right company.
((Name: Tilmo (laurelin) Siego (landroval)
Server: Laurelin (en-rp) and Landroval (en-re) - I'm playing both of these since I'm waiting to find a place within the community before I settle on a server.
I'd be willing to change servers and start over for the right people.
Location/Time: I'm in the eastern USA on Central Time, but I play at all kinds of wierd hours, so that should be of little importance. If it's of any importance, although I speak English natively, I also speak German and Spanish. I'd prefer a primarily English-speaking kinship.
Playstyle: I'm used to doing a lot of stuff solo, but I greatly prefer to quest and raid and just hang out with others. Being a healer, that's where I shine. I am also an avid roleplayer.
Experience: I'm an MMO veteran. I've played almost everything out there a little bit. Most recently EQ2, WoW, and Forsaken World. I have a long history of RP participation, starting with tabletop Dungeons and Dragons, and on through EQ2, and some in WoW (I'd like to forget about that latter experience).
Why should a kinship be interested in me? - I'm a very friendly, team oriented player with a lot of RP and MMO experience. I am intimately familiar with LOTR lore, being a long time fanboy of the books, but I am by no means a "lore-snob"; I like to help out the new people as well. I am very new to the game myself.
I'm a quick study, and what MMO experience doesnt' carry over to this one, I can learn quickly. In the term MMORPG, I emphasize the "Massively Multiplayer" : I am very much the team player. I've left previous games due to prevalent issues with meter watching and epeen... (you know the game I mean)
My RP is very family friendly, so long as you don't mind that I do engage in heavy pipe-weed use and I love my ale... although never to excess. My biggest objective in the game is to RP with friends and have a good time especially while experiencing the game content, although I am not limited to this.
The type of kinship I'm interested in? - Obviously I'm looking for an RP kinship. I'd like a very team oriented group, that is active and very mature. The number one most important thing in a kinship for me is that they emphasize having fun with your friends in the game over completing the newest raid or anything else you can think of. Family friendly is good, although I dont' require this. Also, a kinship without an emphasis on violence or warfare is a plus.
Contact: PM me here, or contact Tilmo (currently lvl12) hobbit minstrel on laurelin server OR Siego also a hobbit minstrel on landroval. (PM's containing profanity, or in a language other than english, german, or spanish will be ignored.)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi there, i'm relatively new to the game, been playing for a few weeks, i think it's about time i made some friends, i'm playing on riddermark, but if the kinship is nice i'd gladly re-start on another server. :)
i have a level 24 elf, named xervish
and a level 7 minstrel, named irisis
i will mainly be playing on my minstrel once i get vip in a few weeks, if anybody is interested in having me in their kin all i am looking for is some nice people who i can enjoy the game with, i've played mmorpgs for about 8 years so i know how pety some clans/kins can get, not looking for anything but fun people so please don't invite me if your kin are a bunch of ragers :D
i am currently on my account, contact me in game via pm if you're interested "irisis"
love, wiggy :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Elendilmir server
time zone GMT-6 (though i'm willing to try a guild in any timmezone)
age: 28 (though it's really none of your business)
Characters: Lycaion (main, 75 elf loremaster), Fennric (45 burahobbit), Garmri (43 guard), Marsias (30 min), Cerberin (22 ward), Cayin (25 cap)
Previous MMO experience: EVE, ATITD, WOW, WAR, Planetside, Rift and quite a few others.
In the sense that i play a lot and want to play well, i am not a 'casual' player, but i also have no interest in players who fall into the idiotic pissing contest of doing anything to get the latest piece of loot or be the first to beat the latest boss.
I don't pvp in this game, mainly because the game mechanics are unsuitable for it.
I'm not specifically against roleplaying, but there's no point to it in a game where one's actions have no consequences.
Looking for a kin that plays a variety of content, especially lower-level content with characters of the correct level, or anything difficult to challenge oneself. I'm not interested in guilds that farm the same instance night after night for 'advancement'. This is not a true MMO, not a true persistent world game, there is no greater goal, you're not advancing, you're running an idiotic treadmill.
I am especially interested in intelligent players. I won't get along with normal humans and i'm fairly intolerant of their unanalyzed impulsive behavior. For instance, if you use the global LFF chat channel for banter with your little buddies instead of forming groups, you are an utter imbecile and i hope you get slow-roasted in a dragon's colon. I don't give a damn if it is 'normal' to want to show off the fact that you've got friends, it's still a display of instinctive, moronic herd behavior.
That should also give anyone a decent first impression of me. Rawr.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm an easy going guy, not looking for any static. Just want a relaxed group who I can quest with.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Just want a relaxed group who I can quest with.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Unknown, waiting to see what the team would need (would like to be a healer though).
Age: 24
Location: USA; MST timezone.
Playstyle: Casual, and I like to play support/healing positions.
MMO games you’ve played: None
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm an easy going guy. I have little to no experience with MMO's, however, I can learn any position. Games I am experienced with are games like Diablo 2, KOTOR, and Dragon Age. For my personality type, I'm a casual gamer as I have a wife, career, school, and other responsibilities. This is just a game to me (unlike some people who take online gaming as life and death), however, I really want to get into a game that I can play with others (not impressed with other games on the market right now). Also, I'm professional as much as possible when it comes to language because I don't want to sound ignorant or offend someone. I understand that obscenities slip or can add flavor to conversation, but not when it is used every other word in your speech.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship that play regularly enough to be able to not have to wait all the time to hear from them, but also understand that there are lives outside of the game. The members must be willing to allow for new comers to learn the game and be fair among everyone. Really, I'm just looking for understandable people or people that have similar views as me. Please feel free to contact me here or my personal mail at marc.brejcha@gmail.com

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
DWARROWDELF SERVER
Name: I have 4 characters, Willis the 65 hunter(got bored of him), Willarm the 32 warden (primary), Willayna the 12 minstrel, and Willisina the 7 burglar. All are hobbits, on the Dwarrowdelf Server
Myself: I enjoy doing fun raids, as long as the people are laid back. I dont like being in a kin that focuses only on raiding, and is completely serious. That gets boring for me. I want to be able to just do a little PUG. I also enjoy going into the Moors. My hunter sucks, but once Willarm gets to 75 or so, he will be pretty good. I tend to be on and off playing. One week I'll play nonstop when i'm out of school, another week i'll hop on to say hi like three times. I ask a lot of questions, so if you kin is annoyed with questions, i'm not for you. I do talk quite a bit, but will shut up once i'm asked. I do have some experience with clans. I was a high ranking officer in the Legion of Doom (early 2011 clan, we go pretty big. Leader quit, his replacement quit, fell to ruins. Attempted to resurrect it, failed.) Then got pretty high up another clan that I do not remember off the top of my head.
Thanks guys! Just mail willarm in game if you have an opening for me!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
My character's name is Starglider on the Nimrodel server.
He is currently a lvl 20 elf lore-master.
I'm on the west coast.
I'm looking for an older group to run with. Not interested in a kinship with a lot of
immature kids in it.
I've played Asheron's Call, Eve and WoW heavily in the past, just to name a few.
My playing time will be afternoons or evenings as needed for group quests. I'm
pretty flexible. I can pay for a Ventrilo server if needed. I'd like to get in on the
ground floor of a new kinship with leaders that know the game well.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
LVL 75 Hunter possibly looking to change Kinship on the GLADDEN server...
Hello all!! I am a 75 Hunter maybe looking to change Kinships. I am usually on in the evening for a few hours 5-6 nights a week. I really enjoy the crafting side of the game and like to help out my kin with crafted items. I am currently also leveling a Champion and a Burglar, levels 31 and 16, respectively. I used to see 10-12 Kin members a night and now I am only seeing 2 or 3. I haven't done much of the "endgame" stuff but I would like to get in with a good group to work towards some of that content.
I also have a good friend that has a level 75 Guardian (tank you very much) and a level 74 Warden that would be coming with me.
Any who...if anyone has any interest...send me a tell or a message in game.
Hunter = Bendryt
Champ = Amrah
Burg = Bendros

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I too,am seeking a kinship. I want a kinship that is relaxed, and has a member majority of people aged 25 or older. This kinship should be one that focuses on crafting and socialization. That is my ideal kinship.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Elf Lore-Master, name undecided (haven't created the character yet)
Age (some kinships have real life age limits): 33
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):Laurelin or Landroval
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): Florida, USA. I'm typically online from 11pm until 3am Eastern time.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I've played mostly solo, and am tired of it. I want some friends! So group PvE and RP.
MMO games you’ve played: WoW, AoC, LotRO, DCUO, CoH, PW, RoM, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Intelligent, funny (though my sense of hummus is sometimes hard to understand), doesn't stand in fire, lore nerd
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Friendly, helpful, intelligent, mature, lore nerds, accepts Elves, not a criminal organization, doesn't mind my shyness.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
IGN: Zulthrax. Race of Man, Lvl 38. Warden.
Age:16
Server: Firefoot.
Location: U.S.A. Texas. I play during almost anytime of day as long as it isnt super early or late. Play on weekends due to school on weekdays unless it is a holiday ftw.
Playstyle: Preferred group, raids, solo as last resort; casual though.
Other MMO's: Fiesta, Flyff. (Didn't like either too colorful)
Why Me?: I am a helpful player and know a decent amount about the game. I'm pretty chill and easy to get along with. I will do what im asked to do cuz im willing to help out the kin and have fun.
Kinship type: Helpful, willing to do raids, a bit chatty so I can socialize while riding horse from quest to quest. Not hardcore though about play times and needing strict guidelines. Kin MUST have a website. Mail me.
Thx in advance.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Found a kin - thanks!
Server: Elindilmer
Probably time I joined a kin. Have main as lvl 47 hunter/forester and working an alt lvl 25 champ/prospector.
I don't do much grouping (not even once so far in LoTRO) mostly because of health and time/constraints. I take a boatload of medications so frequent bio breaks are required at times - TMI but you need to know I'm not just antisocial... :) Anyway, for those reasons I tend to solo most of the time so as not to interrupt other's gameplay. (Blood pressure medication sucks.)
Played EQ and EQ2 for a few years until they changed it so much that you pretty much couldn't get past level 50 without a lot of grouping. Enjoyed the game, otherwise.
I'm not against grouping/raiding from time to time, I just don't see it as the main reason to play.
My play style tends to be very methodical. When I do group I don't much enjoy the "run through the instance at max speed and pity the fool who lags at the back" style. I much prefer tactical play. Pull some mobs, kill them, pull some more, kill them. Slower, but wiping is rare and even single deaths less likely. The few times I was forced to group in EQ to get a particular drop I never found a group who understood how to use (or keep alive) an archer. It was "run through these giants as fast as we can, they'll all aggro us at once but the front of our pack can outrun them." Since I hadn't run the instance a hundred times and was bringing up the rear where an archer should be, guess who spent a lot of time staring at the ground waiting for somebody to come with a feather... LOL
Why join a kin? Well, I'm happy to group with other casual players for the occasional instance or to help someone meet a goal. I enjoy crafting and am willing to pool resources so the whole kin becomes more than the sum of the parts, etc. To that end, I'm really only interested in joining a fairly large and well-established kin - though obviously not a hardcore raiding kin. Like everybody else, I've turned down dozens of blind requests to join new kins that are trying to meet their establishment minimums.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I am looking for a Kinship that holds to Tolkien lore. Specifically, I'd like to join a kinship that has no RK's or Wardens. I believe these characters don't belong in this game and it's representation of the Third Age of Middle Earth.
I've been around since open beta, and I have many characters on many servers.
I will happily change servers and even start a new character. I'd love to join a Kin, but I want one that is more Tolkien based then what this game has evolved into.
I prefer playing Hunters, but I do like Captains and Champions.
If anyone is interested in a daily player that has experience in LOTRO, please send a note to me in mail or here. I don't troll the forums so a note to my forum ID will catch my attention.
Thanks

Re: Looking for a Kinship in Elendilmir
Hi,
Lvl 58 Mini Hobbit (a mini mini) looking for a kinship on Elendilmir. I am based in Eastern AUS so am looking for one that has payers who are on at the same times as me. I am interested in doing more Raids, Instances and Skirmishes but can't seem to find any through regular game requests or IF.
Pls send me a message in forum if you are recruiting.
Tks

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Vilya
Age: 22
Country: Singapore
I don't have too much time to play (avg 4 days a week), often during the day EST (10am-3pm).
I own a lv28 man hunter(Killblaster) and are leveling a Hobbit burglar (lv8) and an Elf Lrm (lv16). After some months I'm very much into the Lrm, but my Hunter skill is good (with great equipments). Have horses for the hunter and lrm.
Love to have some grouping/raiding/skirms from time to time. My in-combat teamwork sense is good. Doing some fellowship quests is fun too. REALLY love crafting (master expert woodworker, forester, journeyman weaponsmith, prospector). I love trading and the economy :p
Love the literature work of J.R.R.Tolkien (main reason to play the game). I'd say I'm quite a hardcore gamer (decent
starcraft player) but mature and disciplined, as well as responsible.
If you're interested pls send me a note through this forum or through mail. Tks

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi, I'm a level 52 Rune-Keeper looking for a kinship to join on Imladris. My character is an elf named Dianli. Real life age: 20. Location: Mountain Standard Time, USA. My play style has been a little non-existent lately. I haven't been playing for several months just because I was getting bored with grinding quests all the time. I'm primarily a solo-player but am wanting to get back into LOTRO a little more, and thought a kinship would be a good experience. As far as what I can do for others, I have healing/dps character so that's kind of a nice tradeoff. Also, I don't love to craft so much these days, but I do have my Forester abilities maxed out (still working on the Esteldin Guild experience) so I can make any light armour or turn any hide into leather. Any recommendations for a kin would be appreciated. Thank you!

I'm a casual player, a few nights a week and on weekends. I'm married and have lots to do with my wife. I'm looking for a casual, fun guild where people play when they feel like it, not because they HAVE to.
Give me a shout if you're looking for a good player who likes to have fun.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hey everyone,
thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I'm looking for a laid back leveling kinship. A kinship that can help in quests, skirmishes and more if they are able to.
I've played the game before a long time ago about 2 years ago to be exact. Back then I was in a hardcore guild and right now I don't have the time for a hardcore guild as I am a very busy person in real life.
I love a friendly community, I dont care how big the community is be it 500,50 or 5 if it has good friendly people, then I'm interested.
I'll be most likely making a new dwarf guardian (tank). It'll be my first time making a tank class so It'll be great of a kinship could help me get comfortable tanking.
I'd be able to help anyone my lvl or lower at the times I'll be online which will most likely consist of weekends.
So yeah, any laid back kinships interested in me?
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Derunthos, Male Elf, Rune Keeper Level 10
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 44
Preferred server(s): Silverlode
Location: Chicagoland Area, Central standard Time
Playstyle: Solor for the most part, please see explanation below. I have a level 25 Loremaster and 22 Guardian on Riddermark and love playing those but wanted to try the Rune Keeper.
Why kinships should be interested in you. kinships?: I'm not sure anyone would but I would love to find a kinship that would be willing to help me learn how to skirmish properly and give advice on how to trait my character properly. I've gotten trait advice on my other 2 more advanced characters but am a little nervous about skirmishing as I don't want to screwup the whole mission because I don't know what I'm doing. I am a quick learner and would really like to become proficient with skirmishing and party instances before I get to the point where they are required and have no clue what to do.
This character's vocation is tinker, and I'm already well on my way to expert mastery in the prospector & jewler, the cook portion will take a little longer. I would love to share my characters Jewlry and extra ore with a kin. As well as all the hides and other drops that could be useful.
I usually am online during the weeks after 7pm CST and there are weekends that I am online from 7am to 4am with a few breaks in between. I truly enjoy this game and would love to learn how to play it to its full potential.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Cabinold of Bree-land, Man, Captain Lvl 21
RL Age: 25
Preferred server(s), if any: Gladden
Location: Michigan, USA--EST (UTC -5) timezone
Playstyle: Mostly solo at the moment because I haven't met many people; all levels of RP but prefer moderate-heavy RP; new to the game
MMO games you’ve played: Lusternia (very heavy RP); EVE Online
Why kinships should be interested in you: I don't like to get in other people's way. I'm not focused on end-game or hardcore PvP, so I'm not super-competitive with other players. As a new player, I have a lot to learn and am always grateful for tips and advice. Plus I'm pretty friendly, and hopefully easy to get along with--I play for fun.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Preferably a kinship of mostly Man-race (that Cabinold is a Man from Bree-land defines him), but open to other races as well. While I would like a kinship that engages in some RP, I also like a casual feel so that I don't feel pressured to join events, raids, or skirmishes. My time can be limited depending on the day, so the freedom to come and go is important without getting locked into a 6-hour hell battle. I'm also looking to hang around with mature individuals (some of the stuff I hear on the Regional channels is mind-numbingly childish, and few things annoy me more than bad textspeak and ALL CAPITAL LETTERS BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL LISTEN TO ME MORE).
So essentially, casual, fun-loving, moderately-RPing Man Captain looking for similar.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Thilmariel (Hunter, Elf, Lvl 34)
Age: 38
Preferred server: Laurelin
Location: Italy. (But english speaker even if is not my first language)
Playstyle: Solo for when I can't find groups, but prefer to be in groups to make fellowship quests. Not interested in PvP or raiding for gear. Hope I can enjoy endgame content with other people.
MMO games played: A little bit of UO long time ago, LoTRo is the first I play constantly.
What about me: I'm an adult and I espect other in kinship to be adult too. I know I don't have any experience with MMO world in general, so I have to learn a lot. I'm not the kind of person that argue over pointless stuff, I enjoy a good laugh and don't mind jokes. Since I'm new to this MMO world I know nearly nothing about raiding or hardcore endgame. I play for fun and with my pace, I really like enjoying the world I'm playing in. I can follow orders specially when doing stuff I'm not familiar with, I would like to learn how to play in fellowship and do some instances. I have a busy life, work, wife, kid so I will be online on late hours CET.
What kind of kinship I'm looking for: I'm looking for a kinship with mature people, any age, I don't mind. I'm looking for a medium - light RP kinship (elven kinship a plus) because of language barrier but I will try to do my best. A kinship that helps its members to grow is higly appreciated. Prefer an EU kinship for play time. Last, but not least, a kinship that organizes events, I will partecipate if possible due to my RL duties. I could help lower characters to any quest, skirmish, instances even without getting any loot, I'm not playing for that.
What kind of kinship I'm NOT looking for: People or kinships with names like "$$Daboss$$" or "PoWnZor" similar, that would kill immersion for me. A kinship that forces its members to leveling or to have the best gear possible, I would like to enjoy the game. No raiding kinship.
Hope this is enough, feel free to ask question and thanks for reading :)

Name: LunarFlame
Race: Elf
Class: Champion
Age25
Preferred server: Gladden
Location: U.S.A. - Florida
Playstyle: Solo, but would prefer to play with groups.
MMO games played:None.
What about me: I get along with people in general & like working with groups, not only kicken 4$$ in the game but also I like to participate in making the group/guild/clan better as in what works best for the group & overall fun for everyone. Cuz if you can't have fun playing with someone then there's no point. I am a laid back kind of person, but do take my gaming seriously.
What kind of kinship I'm looking for: Laid back, but can put on the game face on any time & kick 4$$.
What kind of kinship I'm NOT looking for: Hummmmmm...... 10 year olds. LOL
Oh, I also have a mic so im ready for voice chat :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Well met, Lotro Community!
I currently have a 62 Man Guardian over on Landroval and am second in command in a little 5-6 man Kin made up of long time gaming friends, with all but two now being inactive. I've been considering another server to make a new character on and split my downtime between the two. I'm interested in joining a small to medium sized, active, 18-21+, light role-play kinship. Hopefully some of which are newer players. My RL name is JT (male), and I am 42 years old. I reside down in Texas and am pretty laid back for the most part, but do like to get involved in Kin activities and of course helping others. I'm leaning towards rolling a hobbit hunter or an elf lore-master. But would be open to making whatever that Kin needed if was asked to.
Thanks for the time, and I hope to hear from some of you via PM's. :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Arnahir Aramaethor, Lv 32 Captain, about mid 20's to early 30's
Server: Riddermark, Pacific Standard Time (PST) (-8000)
Being a Captain, I usually prefer raids, but any group activity is fine. It's kinda hard trying to solo with a captain.
I honestly can't list all the MMO's I've played, but my last 2 (like 5 yrs ago) were Lost Saga and Dofus, but I only played those for a few months max.
I believe kinships would be interested in me partially due to the interesting increasing demand of captains, because I'm a good healer, getting to be an great buffer, and I can still do really good damage for a captain. I also have 2K+ morale when my soldier as well as my herald are around. If needed (though I prefer that others do it for me), I'm also an o.k. prospector and weapon smith. So I'm the "Mario" type of captain, well balanced in practically everything.
The type of guild that I am looking for is one that constantly goes on group events, can craft/get me good gear, and that won't be pissed off if I'm not on a lot (I'm sorta busy), however, not necessarily in that order. An added bonus would be a guild that, if possible, could train me to be a better captain. But being in a guild in which I'm one of the higher levels is fine with me.

Casual UK adult player looking for Evernight Kinship
Hi everybody - new here on the forum - only just got around to registering!
I'm looking for a fairly casual Kinship to join for trade and a few social glames, here are my details:
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Turnardel, Elf
Age: 36
Preferred server(s), if any. : Currently play on Evernight
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): England, GMT
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): To date I've just been working through the quests, but I miss the social aspect from other MMO's and decided to look for friends
MMO games you’ve played: Entropia Universe mainly, a little but of WoW
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: My way of playing MMOs has always been about social play and supporting new players whenever possible to help make their way in the game. I hope I'm good company usually!
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Not too serious, no minimum 'attendance' or amount of playtime, just an easy going friendly Kinship, helping each other and having fun.
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Izlaran, Elf Champion
Age: 18
Preferred server(s), if any: I go on Imladris at the moment, willing to change though for whatever Kinship I end up joining.
Location: Central Timezone/Wisconsin, USA
Playstyle: New to this game, just looking for a community that will be willing to take a new member, and that'll be around as I level and grow in the game.
MMO games you’ve played: World of Warcraft and Runescape
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Although I don't have experience on LOTRO, I do have about 4-5 years of solid MMORPG experience. I'm very "community oriented" and I'm usually able to have civilized conversations. I'm ready to learn this game, and grow as the Kinship grows.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm not really sure to be honest, I guess I can just explore my options and pick one that I feel I'd be comfortable with :)
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Lirilla, Elf, Hunter (Woodsman)
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits): 25
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Silverlode
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): GMT+8
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Solo (but would like groups), PvE, casual, crafter
MMO games you’ve played: Runescape, other Korean MMOs
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am a mature and friendly player who would not hesitate to help out if I can.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I am looking for a mature, active and casual guild where I can chat online while soloing or join in instances or raids if the kinship is running them. I am currently very active as I am on a break, but the main obstacle would be that I'm not able to commit 100% after I find a job. I will be on at least twice a week for an hour or two after this.
Do Tell ingame under "Lirrila" or post a PM, thank you!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Kaeldrin, Elven Lore-master, Level 70
Age: Adult
Preferred server: Crickhollow
Location: Western USA, Pacific Time Zone
Playstyle: Manly solo, some group. Very interested in Fellowship instances, RAIDS (casual or hardcore), role-play, end-game, limited time
I'm tentatively searching for Crickhollow Kinships which are active the same time as I am. The Kinship I'm in has been dealt several blows in leadership availability and much has changed to the effect that no one in my Kinship is on when I am. I don't like tooting my own horn, but I am friendly and engaging to those I meet, I help out to have others enjoy the magic of Lotro, and I don't make enemies. My reason for searching is simply that I feel alone and without anyone online on my Kin to talk to or quest with.
I'm searching for a Kinship that appreciates role-play; is willing to do instances, skirmishes, and raids; and is supportive to all who join.
Please send messages to my inbox with any information you can give me, and thank you!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Hadoriel, Elf Lore-Master
Age: 18
Preferred server: Gladden
Location: Minnesota, USA (CST)
Playstyle: Mostly solo, but groups when I'm not being super shy. Roleplaying is also super cool! Overall casual, though
MMO games you’ve played: Oh gosh... WoW for, like, a day. D&D Online for a few days... Man, a lot of fantasy-based ones, but I've never gotten into one as much as LOTRO!
Why kinships should be interested in you: Um... Well, once I get over my shyness, I can be very talkative, helpful and just all around cool! c:
What kind of kinship you are looking for: A small, casual, social one! One that'll get me talking to people, having fun and learning.
So, basically, I just feel like I'm being way too shy on this game and that having some cool friends to talk to would make it x100 more fun! c:
Thanks for reading!

thanks for taking the time to read my post.
Hello Mystic Knights would love to have you apart of our friendly guild, we are a laid back And enjoy having fun and helping one another, If your Interested please send someone in out guild a message http://my.lotro.com/guild-865535561271955855/.

Is that why my PMs are going unanswered? Hm.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Daniel - Character name: Elandu, Elf Hunter
Age: 20
Preferred server: Elendilmir
Location: Australia (GMT+10)
Playstyle: PvMp oriented gameplay, Hardcore instance/raids (ex-Wow), solo when I can't get a group, Semi-casual
Why kinships should be interested in you: I'm an ex-beta player, I quit back around the lvl50 cap when there was lack of content. At the moment I've just rerolled and leveling up to 75, but once I reach there I will be wanting to raid. I have a good history with hardcore and competitive gaming. I love Lord of the Rings, the only reason I've started playing again is because of nostalgic whilst watching the trilogy :s.
I'm willing to help out lower level players if I have nothing to do (usually a lot of the time).
I'm usually laidback and very social, I'm looking for similar folks to roll with.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Looking for semi-casual/hardcore kins who raid atleast once a fortnight, won't fuss if I miss an event (social life comes first). I'm willing to reroll on another server aslong as you have many low levels. Obviously I'm looking for kins within the Australian timezone or has Aus-friendly event times.
Availability: Friday night, Saturday (sometimes, as I said social life comes first), Sunday, Monday. All other times I am attending lectures.
Overall, I've been told I'm a pleasant person to be around and talk to - can't say much more than that :s

The Shire Underground is an 18+ hobbit based Brandywine kinship. Although we are a hobbit based kinship, we do make exceptions for Rune Keepers, Lore Masters, Champions, and Captains. We are a small kinship with a future goal of only 20 – 25 members. We offer leveling/questing help, gear upgrades, weekly drawings for prizes, Kinship House in April, and more. All experience levels and classes are welcome. If you are looking for a small, close knit, friendly, casual kinship, then PM me or reply to this post, or visit www.tsu.guildlaunch.com

Please feel free to contact me here or my personal mail at

I am looking for a guild on arkenstone.
Hello I have played LOTRO off and on since release playing other games but always returning to lotro. I have all content and never use it. In other games I was part of a small group raiding sized guild of mature players. Everyone helped everyone get what they needed but understood people will not always drop everything there doing to help.
I am Fussco currently 54 Hobbit Burglar. I am easy going player who has enjoyed mostly solo play. I have only ever been in a group for a few Skirmishes and some Moria dungeons on my hunter. I am looking to get in a Kinship that does all content. I am 41 so I'm Looking for a kinship with a mature group. I also want to be part of a kinship, not one of the 100+ members. I play all hours of the day and night but would not be interested in dungeons or raids around dinner time east coast time 6-8pm A hobbit has to eat.
*I am not interested in joining a Kin with a name that I would considered not fitting the lore of the game.
Thanks for reading Fussco

Age: 29

MMO games you’ve played: Guild Wars, Perfect World, Forsaken World
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Once I get over my initial shyness, I tend to be very chatty, have a tendency of wanting to help when I can, and am very loyal to guild/faction/kinship.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Looking for a kinship that is laid back, is willing to accept and help out newbies, and engages in a light to medium rp (since I've yet to rp in a game, kinda intimidated by hardcore rp. . . at least till I get the hang of it).

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi folks, I am looking for a large kinship with active players on Landroval. I only started playing about a week ago, but I am level 19 and have a VIP membership and plan on playing for quite a while. Here is my info:
Name: JMH
Character Name: Erenoth
Race: Human
Age: 37
Preferred server: Landroval
Location: Texas (Central Time Zone)
Playstyle: Currently, a lot of Solo PVE, but I want to join an active kinship that RPs for grouping, raids, and pvp, and also to learn crafting from people with experience.
MMO games you’ve played: DAoC, SWG, WoW, SWToR
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am fairly active when I play an MMO with a group of people, and enjoy roleplaying and the social aspect of MMOs. I'm friendly, and though new, pick up MMO mechanics fairly quickly. I work normal business hours, but generally play at least three times a week.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a large kinship with a lot of active members who enjoy roleplaying. I would love to find a kinship with a friendly atmosphere who enjoys helping new players, and also has members that have fun simply walking around and exploring the sights of loTRO.
Thank you!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Ilwyn, Runekeeper, Elf.
Age: 31
Preferred server(s), if any.: Currently on Firefoot but willing to transfer
Location: Eastern US Time (Turbine Time)
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Hardcore End-Game Rading, Intense Group Play, PVE. Not interested in PVP at this time.
MMO games you’ve played: LOTRO
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I don't really alt, I spend a lot of time on my build and perfecting technique. I am a healing runekeeper, and I am very good. I can DPS, but you are better off with another class for that. I am properly raid geared with a 75 first age healing bag. I am also a master of this game's itemization system, and can assist other players in selecting the correct gear.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I haven't really enjoyed the game in a while, I haven't found a kin that really fits me. Lots of folks who dabble with endgame but don't master their classes. Looking for a group of people who love the game, love playing it, and love being truly excellent at it. Does the idea of pulling four groups at a time delight you? Or 6 manning raids? Looking for folks I can tear content to shreds with and become friends with : D
Send me a message if you think your kin is a fit!

I"m learning to play a guardian class and have an interest in tanking. I'm a veteran MMO healer and would also bring a minstrel or rune-keeper (haven't decided yet).
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking to make in-game friends and enjoy the game. I'm new the game and want to learn more about it (I'm still learning all the terminology). I'm also looking for people to do instances with and fellowships.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I'm looking for the RIGHT Kinship. Getting recruited isn't a challenge. The recruiters all say about the same thing but once you get in its a different story. So rather than list my credentials and hope someone likes me, I will list what I want in a kin and you can come to me to see if I like you.
Too harsh? Lets compromise then. I'll give you some of my info as well as what I'm looking for in a Kin and you can take it from there.
I have seven characters. I want to help other players. This is my first and only MMO though I've played single player, Dragon Age, Company of Heroes, Baldurs Gate, Oblivion, MechWarrior, Mech Commander (last 2 very ancient).
Bravorn Man lvl 38 Warden - Artisan Jeweler
Bravos Man lvl 35 Hunter - Artisan Woodworker
Bravadan Elf lvl 32 Rune Keeper - Artisan Weaponsmith & Scholar
Bravodor Elf lvl 32 Minstrel - Artisan Metalsmith
Bravoric Hobbit lvl 30 Burglar - Expert Tailor
Bravwulf Man lvl 30 Captain - Explorer
Bravori Dwarf lvl 24 Guardian - Explorer
I love a group skirmish and will gladly wade into enemy as the tank or keep my ego in check when playing a healer.
I'm 61, former Cavalry Troop Commander with awards in leadership and tactics (no brag but can help organize a new kin) but have no desire to "take over" just to contribute to a worthy Kin. I have 2 boston terriers that are more like mutants than dogs. (Nothing to do with LOTRO but along with my wife are the center of my world.)
I live in St. Louis. I have a full time job yet spend a couple hours most nights in LOTRO and more hours on week-ends so I'm far from a part time player but I am still a noob in many ways. I respect all players whether they play a little on week ends or exist only on line. The only thing I don't tolerate is intolerance.
What do I want in a Kin? Maturity (go figure). Real concern for new members and an organized method for identifying the needs of members. There should be experienced members in each class that "adopt" recruits in that class and help them develop skills, etc. They help line up resources for their troops from craft folk.
The craft folk need to be supported with materials so they can more easily provide for new members. Senior explorers should coordinate with crafters and organize an effective supply effort.
I want to be a part of a group that can laugh and have fun but also genuinely care about each other and work hard to help each other not as a duty but as an oportunity to make a difference.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Bravos on which server do you play? Your description of what you want in a kin, sounds like the kin i am in.
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Dwarrowdelf
Age: 17
You can see my race, class, and level in my signature. I'm really just looking for a committed kinship that often goes on instances/skirmishes and with level support. Other than that, I would like to join a kinship with mature(by this, I mean mentally) members who are respectful and know the English language. Please send me a PM here or on my character in this signature if you would like to have me, thank you.
