A friend (lvl 65 loremaster) and I (lvl 65 Champion) are looking for an ACTIVE GMT kin (we are GMT +2). Ideally, we would like to raid. We have a long history of rpg's and light rp'ing, and have never played wow. Very happy to help the kin with crafting, deeds, quests, rp, leveling, etc. Love to help and be helped. We would be glad to join your "in the recent future" raid as a try out both for us and you.

- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Arathiril, 25th level Woman of Gondor Captain (Tinker)
Arodhere, 24th level Woman of Rohan Warden (Historian)
Dwimorwen, 21st level Woman of Rohan Minstrel (Historian)
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I am a long-time role-player looking for company on quests and a kinship to help me learn to Raid and PvMP.
- How many hours a week do you play?
I live near Detroit, but I work midnights, so I tend to play for a few hours in the mornings of EST during the week and most of the night from Saturday night to Sunday Morning. I am online every weekend, but usually only 2-3 days during the week.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
So far I have been mostly playing solo to learn the game and my classes, though I would very much like to find a group of friends to RP, explore and raid with.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I have been a VIP since May '10, and will likely remain a VIP. I have read many of Tolkien's novels, but not all of them. I have been playing various RPGs for about 30 years now. Most of my online gaming experience has come for Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, which utilize D&D rules and smaller player-created servers.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Your name, or character name and race (if known): beginner Vedarien, elf runekeeper; Vedarion human loremaster.
Age: well above 21 years - very well above
Location. I travel between Central US and Asia or maybe Europe
Type of account F2P - at least for now though open to upgrading
Playstyle. Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, RP, time limited, new to game so won't be raiding any time soon.
MMO games you’ve played: many of them but mostly EQ, EQ2; also WoW to level 81 but didn't stick around there
Why kinships should be interested in you. I've been a raider and guild leader and am willing to help the guild.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.: I'm looking for a mature, low drama, helpful and social guild with a good sense of humor that likes to explore the content. RP is nice but not necessary. I'm familiar with Tolkien's lore, although not an expert, and would like a guild that enjoys the lore of the books and even the movies.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
INGAME
Name: Ssenir Justificus of Mirkwood
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Class: Rune-Keeper
Current Level: 17
Looking for a mid-heavy RP kinship that does NOT focus on being a villain. Looking for a larger, more well-established kinship, or alternatively one that is JUST getting started. I am not an experienced RP'er, but definitely would like to give it a go.
- How many hours a week do you play? Varies, generally between 10-20 or sometimes even more.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc): Mixed
- Various other information a kinship may find useful: Although my character is fairly low in level, I am not new to LOTRO. I have a much higher level character who is a kinship leader on the Crickhollow server. I know my way around the game, but I would like to begin to delve into the realm of roleplaying.

RL Info:
Age: 21
Time Zone: US Central Standard Time

Thank you for your consideration. Looking to do this quickly, so the sooner you get back to me, the better.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
In-Game
Name: Wensley Greenbriar
Race: Man (Bree-land)
Gender: Male
Class: Champion
Level: 15
Playstyle: Solo at the moment (too low level for anything else) but I would like to be able to do instances/skirmishes/raids down the road. Not big into the PVP (PVMP) scene in other games but I would try it out.
Playtimes: Maybe 15 hours a week or so? It's kind of up in the air right now since I still play WoW sometimes with my girlfriend (she doesn't like LotR *gasp*). EDIT: Upgraded to VIP as of 12/28/2010 @ 11:15AM
RP: Light to medium preferred - I haven't RPed in years (longtime D&D player), and never in an MMO before. Since my RPing is a bit rusty I may not want to be in-character all the time but I've been to some social events and things on the server and was quite enthralled by the personae :) Re-reading LotR right now to get a better feel for Middle Earth again. RP isn't a big factor, but would be something nice.
Other: Looking for a large, friendly and helpful kinship as I'm still new to LOTRO and when I get to the level of being able to do instances and skirmishes and things I'd rather have a group of people I know to go with instead of random strangers (coming from WoW that usually results in a bad experience, although not always - LotRO might be different).
Real Life
Age: 28
Location: Florida (EST timezone)
Misc: Due to long work commute I'm usually not on before 7:30PM on weekdays when I log on.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Kazarith
Man (Gondor)
Captain (Level: 33)
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
Was an active roleplayer years ago (AOL's NWN, Gemstone III and IV, various other MMORPGS) and looking for a kinship that is raid capable when I reach that point. Also really just looking for people to do various fellowships with and have a good time. Being a Captain is getting kind of lonely out there.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Varies. On my off days I tend to be around for the better part of 8 hours. On work nights maybe 2-3 hours if I can get on at all.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Soloer right now but I prefer group playing.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
Veteran of other MMORPGs but relatively new to LOTR. Considering making a Minstrel as a secondary character to help folks out (Was a Raid Warden on EQ2 but not sure how helpful that experience would be here since I haven't seen a raid yet.)
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Time Zone: Eastern
I'm a Paramedic in the real world so this causes my schedule to get really chaotic at times. I'd prefer to have a kinship that has a decent range of people on it to possibly fellow with since sometimes I can't be on for 2-3 day stretches due to 48 hour shifts. Kinships that require a certain amount of participations may not be the best choice for me.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm considering joining a kinship if I found the right one. Heres information about me. Please contact me in game or by in game mail.
Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Islug, Dwarf, Hunter, About level 20.
Any kinship I joined also has to allow alternates of other classes and types. I hear the term "main character". To me there is no main character. I will play different characters, classes, types, and crafting based on my mood. I do not want to do the same thing day after day, so I mix it up.
Right now Islug is my main character. They may stay true for a while, or in a month he may become an alternate for a while.
- If you are considering role playing, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I do all of the above in a MMO. To me the most important factor is variety and mix. Any one thing becomes boring. PvP however is one of my least favorite activities as I don't see much point to it.
- How many hours a week do you play?
significantly changes. Right now I'm playing a lot in the evenings and weekends. 20+ a week. Primarily while I'm watching TV out of the corner of my eye. Depending on schedule, and boredom with the game that can change, drop, or even cause periods of no play time for a while.
- Play-style (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Again - I'm about mix and balance. I want to enjoy all the aspects offered.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Eastern Time zone. Adult - way over 21. Original player of UO and played for 6 or 7 years, quit with an account worth over 3000.00 at the time due to a daughter being born and not having the time to give to a MMO any longer (not to mention, it paid for the medical bills when I sold it all -and I had jsut lsot my job as they went out of business).
Long since disappointed by how poor every MMO on the market is (but making the best of it), compared to what UO offered. Can't go back to UO due to:
1-to hard to play something from scratch you once a top dog in
2-the graphics leave a lot to desire these days
3-hardly ever anyone on line. Without other people, whats the point of a MMO?
So, I have to be satisfied with what is out there, and of everything offered LOTRO seems about the best. I do not have nearly as much fun with it as UO provided, simple because it does not offer as many aspects of game play. Every aspect of every MMO today involves "what level are you, and what can you kill", even when your a simple craftsman. So you have to continually play that aspect, even when you want to take a brake and work on something else. Fishing seems to be the only thing that doesn't require you to go monster or quest hunting.
but regardless, theres good people, good players, and the game is fun in a lot of ways.
Knowing people in an MMO is key. without that it gets old fast.
Right now, I do not know anyone.
What I am looking for in a kinship is important:
1-Mature people, no kids
2-People that if ABLE will lend me a hand with things.
3-People that will ask for help so that I can have enjoyment of helping them. Yet NOT hold it against me if its a bad time for me.
4-A kinship that does not have scheduled demands. No requirements to have to attend this or that, at these times and days. I have a life, a family, a job, 3 dogs, a home, and I'm finishing two degrees in college. I play when it works for me to do so. If a game requires me to make time into my schedule at SPECIFIC times, its no good for me!
5-I don't play with a microphone and headphones. I typically am watching TV when I play, with attention between the game and TV diverting based on need. Meaning when i need to, i ignore the TV and focus completely on game. Other times i may be tossing a line into a pond while focusing on a movie Ive really been wanting to watch. But my wife sits near by, and I'm not going to be one of those geeks that makes her listen into me :)
in a situation where I'm going on a major raid with a kinship, and Ive agreed to do it on this day/time, i would be willing to move to my basement pc and use a microphone. But only when it works into my schedule well. Im not against events, and saying "yeah i can d that, this saturday", and getting on the better computer and giving it my full attention with a microhpone. Just in "general" i tend to prefer kicking back on my recliner, my 3 doxins and my keyboard on may lap, mouse in a hand, beer and munchies next to me, and the tv showing something fun. All while being able to say hi to my beautifull wife.. (im not fat yet.. a few more years maybe...)
what you get from me as a player? Someone who helps people out, enjoys having company in the game at times, etc. Ill be there and participate!! I just will not do it on a schedule.
I tend to R/P in public, but i also tend to enjoy "people" in general and I'm very down with doing something relaxing in game while chatting with someone about r/l things in a private chat. I remember in my short lived WoW days, kicking back and chatting with a couple of people while fishing late at night, many a night.
A relaxed, loose, RP guild, with mature people - is what i am looking for.
The guild benefits from getting a player that is mature, helpful, kind, and who enjoys having a good time and making friends. both in character and out of character.
Ive ran guilds with hundreds of players in my past, with rules, restrictions, mandatory number of events attendance and so forth. those are good guilds! but my life style does not allow for it these days. I'm looking for something to have fun with when i can, and sit it aside the rest of the time.
A little about me as a person:
I'm a Pen and Paper Rp'r, and have been for 30 years. I currently run Mage by White Wolf, every other Friday. Ive played just about every major Pen and paper RPG invented.
I'm an avid pool player. I paint miniatures. Ive done chain mail as a hobby but gave it up (to hard on the wrists). I enjoy throwing a lot of parties and cookouts. I'm a heck of a bar tender. Im a tech geek and hold some IT certifications (although I do not do it for a living).
In my online gaming days I have ran guilds created from scratch with hundreds of players- more then once. In real life I started and put together a real life game club that has been around for over a decade, has had 50+ members in that time, and is responsible for numerous other game clubs forming as off-shoots (franchise?).
Now? I'm just looking to relax, have a good time, and have fun. I want to take orders, not give them. I want to get messages "Hey can anyone help with this?" and be the one going, "OMW!".. and have people that can help answer questions for me or lend a hand when i need one. I want an online community and family.
I'm also very new to LOTRO, and i know very little past solo play at this time. I did play WoW when it first came out, and there are a lot of similarities so I'm picking things up quickly.
I hope to hear from some Kinships and possibly join up with one!
I hope to hear from someone soon. I will be online most of this weekend.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am Zeutheir (in-game), currently a level 44 Elf Hunter (EDIT: hit 50 tonight). I'm looking for a good kinship with a steady online population for chatter, grouping up for quests and skirmishing. This is my main character, and it has focused on the woodworker/forester line for crafting. He can make a mean bow and any other weapon or consumable up to Superior at this point. I also have a Warden that I just started that I'm curious to tinker with.
I play a good bit, but I'm not at all a grinder. I probably play 6 - 8 hours on each day during the weekend and for 3 - 6 hours during weekdays. My primary play times on weekends are afternoon to late night. During the week, it's mid-afternoon. I'm in Central Time Zone in the US.
I've primarily been playing solo but have had great fun finding kinships for some of the harder quests, as well. I'd definitely like to be able to do that more often, and I'd like to have more experience DPS'ing in skirmishes, as well. I started playing LOTRO at launch but quit for a year or so. I rolled this character relatively recently. (EDIT: I am a VIP account) The other MMO experience I had was playing that dreaded "game" (if you can call at that) of Star Wars Galaxies from launch for about 3 years (until they really completely ran it into the ground).
IRL, I'm a law student in Louisiana.
Looking forward to getting more involved on Landroval. Thank you.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Apparently there are no existing Landroval Kinships whose members are interested in in-quest RPing and having the RP storyline driven by the existing framework of the game. How sad.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi all, posting here hoping to find a kinship.
Character name: Dodia
Character level: Right now, 7, but I hope to get her to 10 when the servers come back up.
Race: Man
Class: Ministrel
Origin: Breeland
RL age: 29
Timezone: EST
I am a casual player, so I'd say I will only play about 20-25 hours a week, sometimes less than that. Some days I might not even be on, but I do try to be. LotRO is something I play very leisurely, so I'm looking for a kin that will understand that.
I am relatively new to this game as last time I played was 2 years ago and that was only for a month. So I am hardly an expert on this game, but so far I think I'm doing quite well.
I have 0 interest in raiding, and I'm not sure I will be interested in the future. I don't mind joining a raiding guild though that has a social or general membership rank of sorts. I am not looking for a heavy RP guild, as I am a very light RPer. I am looking for a kin that has at least decent numbers so that I can find people to do stuff with from time to time.
What I'm looking for in the game is to do quests, instances, skirmishes (when I reach that level) and some grinding here and there.
I am a very mature person and I don't use "leet" speak, make fart jokes or anything of the sort. It doesn't bother me when others do, but that's just not my thing.
I can offer a kin someone that is friendly, mature, laid-back, easy going and will try to help others when possible.
You may reach me through PM here or in-game mail. I usually play during the daytime, so you may be able to catch me online as well.
Thank you all for your time :D
P.S If it means anything, I am VIP.
Edit: I found a kin. Thank you everyone!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am looking for like minded role players and/or a role play kin to join – heavy to medium, I prefer immersion type roleplay/adventure/character development style. I don’t mind OOC time but what I am seeking is active RP. My desire is to RP a story for my characters, in the world of Middle Earth. (EI: not Bree)
My characters are not the sort for tavern RP, nor am I interested in the evil kinship trend. My characters have flaws to be sure, but they are definitely on the side of good and desire to resist the shadows and darkness enveloping Middle Earth.
I have years of RP experience in several different MMO games, pen and paper and the Renaissance faire circuit. My playtime is varied, usually playing most days CST and some weekends, depending on my RL/work schedule.
Prefer mature kin (no kids) I am an adult and prefer to associate with adults.
I am glad to help other people and would like to receive help if needed.
Have experience in all aspects of LOTRO with several classes, usually men or elves IC.
Please PM me here or in-game would love to chat.

Level 63? Got anything under that, 'cause it sounds like you're looking for the same things I am?
For those who wonder why I'm posting in the forum instead of via PM or I-G mail, perhaps others looking for more than tavern-only RP will chime in as well.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
All who are looking and have yet to find a kin, Please check kinships listing below this topic. It sounds like several of you would be a great fit in more than a few kins offered, including my kin, the Lonely Mountain Band.
I have been kinless before and when you find the right kin the game really takes off! Good fortunes to all who are looking!

Thank you,
You are so right, finding the right kin and friends is what makes a game special. I am still hunting but, hope very much to find the right RP kin to make stories with.
Appreciate the good thoughts.

- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I like roleplaying (Iston Edhellen (just a little))
I never raided or done pvp before but I want to do both when I'm the right level for them.
- How many hours a week do you play?
I'm on at least every other night anywhere from 2-5 hrs.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I made this class because I want to be in fellowships and heal/help others. I like going and doing anything basically aiding the fellowship, but I don't like being the leader that much.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
Although I'm a real newb, I read some of Tolkien(love it) and am familiar with Middle Earth. I'll drop what I'm doing solo, or I'll travel anywhere to help someone in the kinship if I can. My occupation is an Explorer but I can change it if another one is needed in the kin. I'm happy to make anything someone needs. I like helping, traveling, exploring, questing, chatting :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name: Rhadovan
- Race: Man
- Class: Hunter
- Current Level: 23
- How many hours a week do you play? Varies, but 10-20. Mostly weekends depending on the spousal familial unit.
- Playstyle: Varied depending on mood/time. Sometimes I only have enough time for a few quests, or perhaps just a jaunt into the wild to get some deeds done (kill). I would love to group. Previous games find me solo as they are more concerned with getting phat end game loot instead of enjoying the world/story/rp aspects.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful: I am looking to RP, perhaps a medium RP guild as I am new. In my limited experience, I find that light RP is too light and in heavy RP I get lost. I would like a kinship that has a larger number of all levels that are friendly or at least cordial and are willing to group and so on. RP events and storylines are great as well. But RP is not a necessity. No elitists and L33t speak types... just grown up, decent folks (in short).
- Age: 29
- Time Zone: EST
- Roleplaying? Not a must, but would be neat to try it.
- Raiding?: Sure as time permits.
- PVP?: Not so much, not in LoTRO.
Feel free to PM me here or in game!
Thanks all!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'll keep it short and sweet by sticking to the template laid out in the OP...
Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level: Faimith, Race of Man, Champion, 30
If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat: Not a fan of PvMP, PC can't handle raids. Heavy, literate, grammar*****-ish (Queen's English, of course) RPer.
How many hours a week do you play? 3hours/day at most during the week, more during the weekends
Playstyle: Quester, RPer.
Various other information a kinship may find useful: ICly, Faimith is a mercenary, so she will follow money, rather than loyalty. She prefers to operate in the "Grey area" between good/evil and law/chaos
Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.: Aged 20, GMT-0 timezone, military service limits playtime sometimes.

Check out our kin, the Jade Rose. We are fully immersive RP kin that is currently RPing in the Breelands. We are a heavy RP kin that uses a more 'table-top' method where we pick up where we left off each night. Currently we have a fellowship that has just arrived in Trestlebridge following the burning of the village and another that is building IC to RP through the Barrows.
Our story leans more towards the grey. The three leaders of the Jade Rose are former Gondorian brigands that are fighting the Blackwold (and soon larger Angmarim threat) to Bree for their own personal and greedy reasons. We've set this tone to allow room for characters all along the alignment scale to join our ranks. Whether mercs just in it for a few pieces of silver, paid assassins, or white knights looking to protect the city from danger.
Anyways the link is here. We primarily play during the week from 9pm-Midnight EST.

Very high quality.

Still on the prowl for a good kin. :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Character Name: Dolthafaer Bregomael. (Surname will be claimed at 15.)
Race: Elf.
Class: Hunter.
Current Level: 14; the goal is to hit 15 by tonight.
Looking For: I would like a roleplaying guild that is willing to bear with me until I get the hang of it. I'm a pretty damn good roleplayer, just not in this medium.
Availability: I can play anywhere from 2-10 hours a day.
Playstyle: So far I've been tinkering around on the game, trying to figure it out, grinding and exploring solo. This is my first toon that "counts." So all of the above? But it does get a bit lonely. I joined an MMO; I want people.
Various: I am very new to this game, and very new to MMOs, so I don't have the actual roleplaying-through-chat thing nailed. YET. I will soon figure out how to utilize the chatbox without letting the monsters eat me. I am very familiar with single player games in this style, however, and roleplaying via forum. I am heavily into Tolkien lore. The Silmarillion is my Bible; the HoME books are my Dead Sea Scrolls. My favorite game is playing three-steps with Elrond. Do you know that he's related to EVERYONE?
IRL: 22/F/NJ. I are nerdz.
Etc: I'm also working on an elven minstral alt, but she's still a baby. I know that elven hunters are a dime a dozen, but honestly, it fits my playstyle best, and I know how to use it. In other games (not WoW) I am an elf thief in everything. Since my expertise is Tolkien's elves, I'm not going to go with the obvious hobbit burglar alternative.
Team Fëanorians btw.
ETA: If it helps, this character was an elf who was killed in the Fall of Gondolin and reborn in Lindon. A Silm-based RP would be fabulous.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello All! My in game name is Nickcage (he's my hero, best actor ever haha). I'm currently only a level 15 Captain but I plan on hitting 20 by the end of today.
I'm not a big fan of PVP, I prefer casual playing with leveling up, crafting, reaching max level and turning around and helping others. I'm currently in college so there's not many hours I can play, maybe 10 hours max a week, sorry :/. I live out on the East Coast of the U.S. too if that helps!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Looking for GMT based kin (or one that has enough activity during euro time to actually be able to raid & do instances).
Got a 53 guardian, 27 hunter and 14 runekeeper. Hunter & runekeeper are made primarily for crafting (tailor & jeweller). Main is supreme weaponsmith.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Just returned to the game after a lengthy absence. Trying to find a decently active RP guild.
I haven't decided on a character yet to start playing again. I was thinking Man of Rohan or Hobbit Burglar, but I also have a love of dwarves. So, any RP guild that would fit into the above I would LOVE to hear from.
I have a sporadic playtime due to travel associated with work. I picked up my MMO addiction WAY back in 1997 when I was in the Air Force. Played nearly every mmo released. Have a tiny bit of D&D experience. Love RP, especially within the setting of Middle Earth.
I don't get to check these forums often so please send me a message so I don't miss an opportunity to find that perfect group!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Looking for an active kinship for my 65 Guard and Burg.
I am presently in a kinship, but great majority of the members have taken a hiatus away from the game, which leaves very little chance of grouping/raiding, outside of pugs. I am an east coaster, very much enjoy PvMP, end game raiding, and just plan grouping. I am pretty easy going and don't take the game so seriously that it affects my view of people for the most part.
Anyway, if anyone has openings or looking for potential members, please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Posted to the bulletin board in Bree, you see a small scrap of paper:
To Whom It May Concern;
This is an open posting for employment. I am a former Captain of the Town Guard in Dale. Duties there included (but were not limited to) regular nightly safety patrols and occasional security during and after Ale Association festival day events. I am skilled with a sword, but usually more willing to share stories over some sweetstick pipeweed than engage in combat.
Please send all inquiries by letter to the Forsaken Inn on the Great East Road in Annunlos.
Regards;
Chedriin Azariah of Dale
---------------------------
Howdy, I'm a level 29 mannish Cappy. You may have seen me floating about the forums and running around Bree before. Finally decided to take the plunge and join a kin - I'd like to meet some friends to get to know on Landroval outside of the passing "hello". I'm a med-RPer, mostly solo but I really enjoy PvE (and hopefully PvMP eventually). I play multiple times a week, usually at night for a few hours (between 7:00p - 11/12:00a EST). IRL, I'm a 24 y/o med student. I don't like to use voice chat; I can type fast enough (and I can control my RP a bit better).
My ideal kin is somewhat active in Landroval (hosting RP events, etc), and has some lower-level kinnies for me to possibly quest with. It would best be described as "med-rp" (contact through IG written mail!), with laid back, cool people who like to stay IC but aren't particularly imposing. Moderate PvE would be great, too. Drinking at random bars in the Shire is required :) Also, I'd prefer a kin with a website.
/walloftext
Contact: PM sure whatever, but I'd really prefer an in-game letter.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
The name's Ananzi, level 8 Man Burgalur originally hailing from Gondor. I play about 10 or so hours a week due to college schedule, but I'm trying to get play more as time goes on. I am intersted in roleplaying, already wrote a short bio of my character and will be developing his personality as time goes on and hopefully raiding eventually. I don't know what playstyle I am, I do quests and explore a bit. I'm looking for a mature, roleplaying friendly kinship that's not all high levels. I don't have a mic, and I don't like voice chatting during play, but I'm active in text chat ingame. I live on U.S. east coast.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Solidago
Race: Hobbit
Class: Minstrel
Level: 65
What I'm looking for: Looking for a kin with fun, mature adults with great senses of humor. While I have nothing against rp or pvmp, I prefer a raiding kinship.
About my playstyle: I play about 10 hours a week on Landroval and I only have one character on this server - with no intentions of leveling up another (I have characters in a raiding kin on Elendilmir). I am as comfortable running solo as I am playing with others in any size fellowship/raid. Have run every raid/instance and am capable of leading most if not all of them.
About me: I'm an adult (over 21) female living in CST. I currently have Solidago in a fairly inactive Landroval kin...nice people, just rarely more than 4 or 5 on at a time. PM me if you are interested in discussing your kin and perhaps setting up some trial get-to-know-you runs.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello everyone, Aurath here. I play as a level 16 Champion, from the Race of Man. I prefer medium-heavy roleplay, and would enjoy traveling around Middle-earth, raiding, exploring, and generally working together with others. I play for around 3 hours a day, but have a free account only, though I may be upgrading very soon, depending on how my experience here goes. I am not always interested in combat, and prefer roleplaying if nothing is going on. I have previous experience and continue to play EVE Online, so I am familiar with roleplaying and MMO features in general. Oh, and my time is EST.
I am interested in a neutral-good sort of kinship, with a "secretive" but ultimately benevolent group of people. Vigilantes, if you would. Feel free to send me a letter if your kinship fits my description. Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Kheyll, Kellhis
Race: Man
Class: Burg, Warden
Level: 59, 34
What I'm looking for: Looking for a kin that doesn't take the game about elves and orcs too seriously. I did that for a while after raiding in a top EQ guild, and again in WoW. Isn't a mistake I'll make again. I enjoy raiding, I enjoy group content, I'm not super alt-centric as I tend to be a little O/C about playing a smaller amount of characters as a solid skill level. I like RP, again, so long as it's not with a group that is so serious it tells you every nuance of everything you do is wrong. I also love pvp.. so really, a cool group of people with a solid sense of humor who are well rounded, but not going to freak out if I don't log on for a few days because I'm catching up on internet porn.
About my playstyle: Right now I play as it strikes me, and end up soloing a lot. Even though my burg is 59 and I can work wonders with him, it's been mostly solo. It's hard to find groups as the solo guy because you aren't on your 11th alt that is twinked by your other 10 crafters and 10293019312 buhjillion gold. Also -- people get irritated when you ruin the 5 minute run with questions about the fight.
About me: I'm studly adult guy in CO. I am a math geek for a living, and like sunshine. Also: it's always up for guessing whether I'm wearing pants while playing, and I can sing Sinatra songs on vent for the insanely lucky.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Niko
Characters: Nikoborn, Valuial
Race: Man, Elf
Class: LM, RK
Level: 20,60
What I'm looking for: I’m looking for a mature, friendly guild with medium RP that plays for the exploration and story aspect of it. Playing within a fellowship, role-playing and exploring the game content are my main focuses for a kinship.
Also as I am based in New Zealand I am looking for a Oceanic based kinship, preferably a new one.
About my playstyle: You can probably figure out my play style from the post above, but one thing I love to do is craft a story for my characters even though they can’t interact with one another directly. The new lore master I started up is in game learning from my high level RK.
About me: I am a 26 year old male who plays fairly casually during the week, due to employment and life. However I do put some time away for longer stuff on the weekend. I’m experienced with most end game content from up to a year ago (although somewhat rusty).
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Because of a dwindling of numbers in my current kin, and the upcoming raid content, I would like to find a kin that does a fair bit of raiding, perhaps a hardcore raiding kin. I have applied to one kin currently, and am waiting to hear back, but wanted to see if there was anything out there that I would be a good fit for.
I have 8 lvl 65 characters, 6 of which I feel comfortable raiding on (champ, capt, burg, guard, minnie, LM, in that order).
Difficulty: I only want to move 2 or 3 characters into the new kin, because I both have my own kinship house to maintain and want to remain a member on 1 char each in my old kins. This is really just to keep me in touch with those people, and not because I would be flipping back or anything like that. I would spend most of my time on the characters I move over, so as to get to know the players in the new kin.
(this difficulty has kept me from joining several kins, because so many want ALL your characters.)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Characters: Hasmund
Race: Man
Class: Hunter
Level: 43
What I'm looking for: I’m looking for a kin that do often questing, raids, help people with their quests.
About my playstyle: I mostly solo and sometimes do fellowship (if i find one).
About me: I am a 15 year old male who plays often, well not now because i'm stuck on quests and don't got TP, my timezone is GMT+2 Middle Europe.

Loremaster and pets seek Kin...
I have been playing LoTRO now for about five month and have a level 42 Loremaster main and a level 35 Runekeeper alt. I play with four other friends on a regular basis (three friends I know in real-life and my fiancee) and our main group is all level 35-42 at this time. Everyone is a 30+ professional adult living in Southern Florida. A couple of the others have already found guilds to join, but I have only spent a small amount of time searching the forums here for a "perfect match" and not sure what guild would be the right one for me. I still plan on mainly grouping with my real-life friends, but it would be nice to make friends in a larger group as well.
I play 3-4 nights a week with my fiancee and usually 2 of those nights are with my local friends. I have years of MMO experience (EQ, EQ2, WoW) and did participate in a moderately raid heavy guild in WoW- so I am familiar with the commitments involved. My play style is mainly explorer, but I do love crafting and social aspects of the game as well and will grind resources/mobs for crafting, reputation, and deeds with zeal when I need to. :-)
Ideally, the kin for me would be fairly casual, but with players who do like to commit *some* time to doing content... since I plan on continuing to play mainly with my local friends, and since we have five currently in our group, having a guild I could query for 1-2 extra folks who would like to do fellowship instances with my group would be ideal. I realize this "ad-hoc" grouping is not ideal for groups who like to schedule raiding, but we are still leveling with the ideal that once we get to end-game content, we would be raiding more seriously. Everyone in my group is a professional (IT, Accounting, Science, Law) and has a mature attitude (most of the time) and a day job.
I do love crafting and am mildly disappointed in the fishing system on LotRO... I do love doing seasonal stuff and am looking forward to getting Kindred with the Inn League this spring! One thing I am not looking for is RP Heavy groups... even RP medium may be too serious for me, though I am decent at it... it just seems people can take RP a bit *too serious* at times and I am not interested in being corrected for missing nuances that Tolkien-philes care for so deeply.
If I sound like someone that you would like to add to your kinship, let me know... I would be glad to hear from you.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
If you seek to find a Kin that is close-oriented and family based, but yet holds a high reputation with some of the inner community, come see us at Mar Vanwa Tyalieva, The Cottage of Lost Play. We delve ourselves highly on music and friendship (music being our specialty ;) You can usually see a few of us playing concerts at Ales & Tales or perhaps performing a tune or two in front of the Prancing Pony during the weekends. We always look towards helping others that ask for it :) Most of us have lives and families outside of LOTRO so we know of the complications of trying to balance out work, home, and fun stuff like LOTRO, we get that cause I have to do it everyday :) We respect the outside family environment, and hope to bring something such as it closer in into this game.
If you're interested, come see us at http://mvt.guildlaunch.com/.
(As a newly found member, I spent a lot of time searching for the "right" kin. Once that would follow role-play to a considerable matter with a name and a foundation that fit for Lord of the Rings. I found that with MTV, and I hope anyone who was in the same exact predicament as I was come visit us :) .)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've recently returned to LOTRO and I believe this time I'm going to be here for the long haul. I'm a pretty laid back player who likes to have fun but also knows when it is time to get things done. I'm a student and have other responsibilities other than gaming so hardcore really wouldn't define me. I love to roleplay and dearly enjoy the wolrd that Tolkien has created. In terms of Kinships I suppose I'm looking for a fun casual guild that likes to roleplay as well as uses voice chat as I enjoy getting to know the people I play with.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
While there is a part of me that greatly enjoys the freedom of being without a kin, my 64 elf champion Adannadan is finally ready to settle down with an established Rank 10 kinship, preferably one that has been around since early in the Shadows of Angmar days. I usually play for at least a few hours every day and play in the Eastern Time Zone. I'm married and in my late 30's so I'm looking for a kinship that mainly enjoys questing, PVMP, and casual raiding.
I have been in some wonderful kinships here in Landroval and on other servers and hope to find a kinship with strong leadership that values the player behind the keyboard more than the character being controlled. Another thing I am looking for in a kinship is the freedom to do what you want when you want to do it. While I will always try to help out other kinmates, I don't necessarily want to drop what I am doing every time I log in to help someone's 10th alt finish their class quest. I also may want to occasionally group with players outside the kin. So, I guess what I am looking for is a mature, minimal drama kinship with active leadership that maintains a more relaxed environment.
If your kinship meets the above criteria and you think I might be a good fit, feel free to either reply to this post, send me a PM here on the forums, or contact me in game. I look forward to hearing from you.
Adannadan

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've just returned to LotRO after about a year off to find that I'd (quite understandably) been booted from the kinship I'd just joined about a week or two before; it's a boring story involving a smoking power supply.
Still wrapping my head around a lot of the changes since the game went F2P, and I'd like to get involved in a kinship to help me learn and make some friends in-game. I'm a big fan of group content (mainly 3- and 6-man; not so much raiding), and GLFF isn't the most reliable source for grouping.
My main (and the character I'm really looking to join a kinship with) is Arayana, my level 63 (and I'm sad to say, woefully under-equipped) captain. She's a SM metalsmith (can't recall if I ever got kindred with the guild, and the game's down right now). I also have a 60 RK.
I'm looking for a more mature, friendly, and relaxed kinship, and not the kind that pesters anyone without a kinship tag to join. I like to group, and I think it's important to cooperate and give a strong effort in a team, but I'm also not the kind of guy to run the same instance 25 times in a row to get some rare drop ring to increase my agility from 550 to 554, either. I don't think that sort of thing is fun.
IRL, I'm 29, male, and engaged; my fiancée plays, too, and more saliently, I'm not one of those "hur hur ur a gurl" creepers. I just graduated from law school, and I'm stuck in limbo waiting for bar results and my character & fitness review. As such, I play quite a lot right now (eastern time); probably not so much once I'm working full-time.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi Arayana. I only respond to these if we sound like we'd be a good fit for someone. This is one of those cases. Please check your Inbox. I sent you a message about our kinship, Remnant.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've returned to LotRO after about a 3 year absence, and am looking for a friendly, group-oriented kin. My details:
- Tevnar Luinedhel (the "Blue Elf"), Hunter, Level 56, Elf from Mirkwood.
- My primary alt is Halobras, a level 33 "Expert Treasure Hunter" from the Shire.
- I enjoy light to medium roleplay. I haven't done much PvMP or raiding, but may be looking to dipping my toes into the pool.
- I play anywhere from 10-20 hours a week.
- As far as playstyle, I enjoy exploring a lot, discovering new content, and grouping for fun and to give and get help with the more dangerous areas of Middle Earth.
- I also enjoy crafting. Tevnar is a Supreme Scholar + Farmer, and his close friends (aka alts) are recognized as talented Cooks and Tailors.
- I play mostly late afternoon/early evening Pacific Time.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Since F2P started there are a bunch of younger players on, My son is looking for a Kin of younger (maybe teens) players to group with and find a friendly Kinship any suggestions? He is currently in my Kin but it is a mature Kin and He feels kind of out of place:)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship

F2P Minstrel Hobbit seeking chatty (& maybe Roleplaying) kin!
Hello!
In-game Information:
Name: Ivylene
Current level: 17
Class: Minstrel
Play-style: Light, casual, love to RP. Mostly focus on leveling and learning my class.
Hello! I'm a west coast gal, new to LOTRO but familiar with MMOs.
What I'm really looking for at this point is a big chatty kin. It gets way too lonely traveling through this gorgeous world with not a peep in regional or any of the chat channels unless I sit my butt in Bree all day!
I do love to RP and go to rp events but I've learned about some awesome events here on my own, so I'm okay if the kin itself isn't rp focused. At this point I am just looking for friendly chatty people who wouldn't mind giving me a few tips now and then about how to become a better minstrel!
Also - not sure how to change my forum name? Sindirell is the first character I made but I found I am enjoying Ivylene more so far.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Character Name: Ardrick
Race: Man
Class: Champion
Current Level: 43
I'm looking for a kinship that does at least a medium amount of roleplaying. I've been building up a background for my character since I started playing and would like to interact with other roleplayers. If possible I'd like to find a ranger kinship or at least one that has ranger members.
Most of the time I solo, but I would like to do more group content as well. Like I said I am primarily looking for RP but I do enjoy doing dungeons and following the in game story as well.
On average I play maybe 20 - 25 hours a week, rough estimate.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Preachor, Man, Captain, 58
- None roleplaying
- 10-15 (Maybe more)
- Usually Solo
- Mature Adult, EST
I'm looking for an active kin to run quests with and learn more about LOTRO in general. I maybe level 58 but I feel I have a lot to learn as this is my first character. I usually solo a lot since my current Kin is not very active. In general I'm just looking for an active Kin with a decent group of people. I am a supreme metalsmith and working on my Mastery so I would be glad to help in crafting when needed. I also I have kindred standing with the Metalsmith Guild if that helps at all.
Please send me a mail here or in game.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Character Name: Tucman Thistlehawk
Race: Man
Class: Hunter
Current Level: 17
Just looking for a medium-heavy RP kinship that fits my character. Basically he's an archer who has taken it upon himself to rid Bree of brigands and give back to the people of Bree what is rightfully theirs. Sort of has a Robin-Hood esque feel to him, except he robs criminals and brigands instead of the rich. If you want to place an alignment on him, Chaotic Good should do it. Questing/skirmishes/raids are also a riot so if your kin does these as well, that's a bonus!
just send a PM or find me in game!
On a side note I'm usually on nightly, at least for a bit
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Alright, Having decided on a Race and class I'm going to give this another shot.
Race: Hobbit
Class: Burglar
Level: 21
I'm looking for a good RP guild who don't mind me figuring out my hobbit's persona. I play sporadically due to work and family life, but am on enough to get to know people. Been a Lord of the Rings fan for ages and have a deep love of the lore.
I've a couple idea's floating around on the hobbits character including his love of being a honorary shirrif but also his love of cooking. I need a good support group around me to flesh him out. =)
Best way to contact me is either through pm or in-game mail to Kendas. I dont often get a chance to look here so I might miss a post but feel free to do that too.
Thank you
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've seen several folks post in the last few days looking for RP kinships. For those of you looking, you might want to take a look here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...-Play-Kinships
The other thing I'd recommend to anyone still searching is don't be afraid to contact kinships and ask questions. Most kinleaders and officers should be willing to take some time out and tell you about their kin - when they play, what they do, how many they usually have online, how they raid, and so on.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Good morning y'all! I would LOVE to find a friendly, mature kinship on Landroval! Here is a little more about me:
My main character is Sepharien, lvl 20 female elf rune-keeper. I also have Alondryn, lvl 15 female human lore-master.
I don't much care for raiding or PVP. Most of what I do is crafting, questing and chatting/socializing, although I don't have too many friends/family who play LOTRO. I am particularly looking for a social guild, not so heavy on the raids/instances. Mild-moderate RP is fine; I am a very helpful, friendly person, though somewhat quiet. I need a kinship that is similar as far as being helpful, friendly, and active with questing and crafting. Don't mind a big kinship as long as it's not a bunch of chattery, immature children....
My style of play is eclectic; I tend to pick magical classes rather than melee. Have experience healing in a group.. not such a great tank though >.< Prefer being in a position to nuke/debuff....but also, I consider the ability to heal oneself very important, since I solo most of the time; hence the rune-keeper main.
I am a young, married lady; and working mother of 1.. I play an average of about 18 hours a week. Usually you can find me online late nights on the weekdays (but not everyday) and random times on the weekends. Play late on a regular basis, meaning 10pm or later, CST.
I've always enjoyed Tolkien's work; books and movies, especially LOTR. And after 6 years playing WoW, I find this game a refreshing change; a breath of fresh air, if you please. Thanks for considering me! Cheers! =)

Are there any reasonable size Landroval based Kins that have a majority of GMT time-zone based players?

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Where are the superstar, amazing, invite-only, no-nonsense raiding kins? I'm finally ready to start playing this game for real, and I want to learn from and play with the best.
My main's name is Zeutheir. He's a 65 Elfish Hunter that I've been working very hard to outfit and trait properly, and I feel like I've learned how to effectively play the class well. I've recently completed my full Helegrod set, have good jewelry and a stat loadout that is where I want it. That being said, this is the first and only character I've ever gotten to 65, so I'm not an absolute expert on all endgame content yet. I want to find a group I can run with and help out with massive but well-timed amounts of DPS and smart CC while learning more about playing with a level-capped character. I've also recently run a couple of times in the Moors, and I'd very much like to experience that side of the game, too.
I primarily play from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (GMT -5) regularly and several days from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Weekends are usually all-day affairs. These playing times will change in two weeks to playing primarily and regularly from 6 or 7 p.m. until midnight (on weekdays) and the same all-out effort on weekends.
I'm not interested in RP. I'm not interested in drama or low-activity kins. I'm looking for a highly-active kin packed with the best, most hardcore players on the server. Thank you for any help or suggestions in helping me find this. Feel free to send me a forum message here or an in-game mail or tell (Zeutheir).

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Both of my chars Repthorn and Tarshinaran are looking for medium to heavy RP kin. I will not allow my 2 warriors to join anything else. i plan on seeking those kin who infact loves to RP both kin chat or otherwise.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm looking for a kinship. I haven't played the game in almost 2 years and I never really did get very far into it before life got too busy and I quit. So I'm still pretty new to the game and am looking for a helpful, active kinship. By helpful I most certainly do not mean "give me free stuff", just people patient and willing to offer advice and answer my inane questions about the most basic aspects of lotro. :P I never really got into lotro RP but am interested in trying it out, but any kinship I'm in will more likely than not be out of character, if that's okay.
Please send a mail or in-game IM to Nimradhir if you have any suggestions. I mostly play during the day on weekdays, though that may change in the coming months.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
name: Tavelorn Silverbranch
race: Elf (Lindar - bonus points to you if you can tell me what that is)
class: Minstrel
current level: 17 at time of writing
profession: Historian
interests - looking principally for roleplay that is grounded in an understanding of and appreciation for Tolkien's legendarium, without becoming a debate society about it.
I am also seeking a kinship for a chance to experience some of the multi-player aspects of the game.
avaialbility - sporadic. mostly evenings, Eastern time zone. if I know in advance of an event, I can usually manage to attend. Failing that I can at least give advance notice of unavailability.
playstyle - I am an explorer, tending toward solo play. I do not mind helping others when I can. I am neither looking to have my hand held, nor to nanny other players.
miscellaneous - I prefer a mature environment. I am in my 40s, and don't want to feel like a fossil.
I have a fair amount of MMORPG experience and a very great deal of roleplay experience.
I am pretty well versed in Tolkien's Middle-Earth, and will cringe at winged half-dragon vampire ninja pirate fairy princess ballerina characters and pretend they don't exist. So please, dear God, none of that. Thanks.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Age: 22
name: Boreius
race: Man of Dale
class: champion
current level: 14 at time of writing
profession: tinker
interests - looking principally for an large and active medium to heavy roleplay kinship. i love the game and would like to explore Middle earth with a like minded group. kin events and storylines are fantastic as is forum RP. I want to find a kin that loves the lore and enjoys playing in it.
avaialbility - It varies, but most evenings (EST). im currently on summer break from working toward my masters degree. I can usually tell you if i can or cannot make events before hand, and will do my best to get on as much as i can or at least for events.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
My fiancee' and I are currently looking for a kinship.
As of this writing, my main is Varondir, a 37 Man Captain, and my primary alt is Einheriar, a 28 Dwarf Guardian. She plays Shadoreth, a 36 Elf Rune-keeper, and Lorenna, a 28 Hobbit Hunter.
What we're really looking for is a relatively small- to medium-size exploration kinship that isn't full of established, bored 65s that will tempt us with aid and information. ;) We would like to explore Middle-earth at our own pace and still hit all the instances on the way up, even the ones that don't scale, and we'd also like to maintain that sense of discovery when we enter a new area. This is my first time back to Middle-earth after quitting the game about two months after release (I completed Helegrod just before leaving, back when it first came out), and Shadoreth hasn't played through at all.
So far we've had pretty good luck finding groups and people to play with when we hit content that requires more than two people, but we'd really like to find more people to play with regularly instead of constantly trying our luck in LFF whenever we want to do something that a duo can't accomplish.
We play fairly often (by our standards) - an hour or two each weeknight and more on the weekends.
We are generally RP-tolerant/light RPers who don't object to heavier RP, but do object to mockery of RP. We feel that RP helps maintain a Tolkien-like environment and sense of immersion even if we don't participate in it very often.
We're also older folks (both in our 30s) and so would prefer to join a kinship that's closer to our age range.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. If there's any kinship that fits this bill, send us a message here or in-game!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am just coming back to the game after an extended hiatus, and will be rolling a new character. What I would like to do is level in-character, with a consistent group.
However, I am not online until late (I usually can't get online until between 11pm and midnight, and I log out a little after 3am, Eastern time), and I am rather shy.
So! Hopefully there are one or two people out there interested in rerolling in-character, and willing to put up with my shyness. ;^_^

Wow, you basically just described word for word what my fiancee' and I are looking for too. Let me know if you find anything that's a good fit, or just get a hold of Renzlin in game if you guys want to quest or anything. We are working on new alts right now (22RK and 22 Mini), but have 65 LM HNT and champ in the garage as well :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ingame Name - Lijah
Race - Race of Man
Class - Lore-master
Current Level - 43
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I am not a big RP'er and would do light RP at most. It would be nice to do some raiding, but that is off in the distant future. I am a Premium account so I do not do any PvMP
- How many hours a week do you play?
I am a new father so I only play after the baby is asleep. I generally play about 1-2 hours a night between 8pm-10pm EST.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I, up to the point, have been a pure soloer and grind TP from time to time on alts. I would like the option to group up to do skirmishes or instances from time to time.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I have played MMO's since EQ launched in 1999. I have played EQ and WoW up until recently. I played LoTRO in the past and I am finally coming back to it.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I am 27 and I play on EST. I am looking for a mature guild that does not mind helping me get up to speed. I am not looking to be carried, but I can forsee questions coming up about different aspects of the game.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I hope that kins still check this thread... :)
Basics:
Name: Laerlin
Race: Mankind, from Gondor
Class: Hunter
Level: 24
Timezone: PST, USA
Age: Early 20s.
Play-style
I made a toon on Landroval strictly for role-playing. I would consider myself a medium RPer; I'll do quests either IC or OOC, and kin chat can be either IC or OOC. I am a *huge* lore nerd but will happily play with those who don't know as much (and if you have any lore questions, I'll totally be happy to answer them). I know some Sindarin, but I am nowhere near fluent. I consider grammar, spelling, and punctuation in RPing important. It does not have to be perfect, of course, but I really would prefer it to be legible. I understand if English is not your first language, of course.
My character is aligned as 'good', generally, so I would like a kinship with that alignment. Adventuring, hanging out in the Prancing Pony, or just building our characters is all in my interests. I have only done one adventure RP so I'm definitely interested in those. In the meanwhile, you can find me IC in the Pony.
Send me a PM or an ingame mail with information. Thank you!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings. My ingame character's name is Sevora, she is a Hobbit Guardian and is currently lvl 10 but gaining. First I will answer the questions specific in the thread.
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat. This is a tricky one. I am not really a RPer even tho this is an RP server. I am typically casual but I am considering looking into raiding when I get to that level. PVP is ok, but its one of those things I have to be in the mood for.
- How many hours a week do you play? This can vary, it really depends on work and of course my interest in playing as well as family time. I try to play 20+ hours a week.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc): I typically solo most of the time, but again this really depends on when I am playing. During the day if I am on I am often soloing and not really into groups because I am watching my kids usually. At night If I am online, then I am wanting to do more group stuff. I do like exploring sometimes, its a mood thing I guess. I just try to play the game and have fun.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful: Well, I have played a tank in many a game. Its what I am good at. As for the other games, well I have been playing MMO's heavily since 2004. I have played almost all the games out there. I have played UO, EQ, EQ2, WOW(but who hasn't right), FFIX, FFIV, SWG, Rift, WAR, Aion, STO, Champions online, CoH, RoM, Eden Eternal, Rappelz, Wizard101(I did mention I have kids right lol). There are probably a bunch of other games I have played and can't recall right now.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc
Ok..now for the real dirt. I am a stay at home dad, I work part time and do online education right now. I am what most would call an MMO junkie. I am 33, I have 4 kids ranging from 10 to 3. I live in NE Georgia, and I play some chaotic hours. Most often tho If I am online during the day its to do solo stuff, farm, grind deeds, and work tradeskills. At night I tend to want to group up and hang out.
Me and a friend have decided to come back to Lotro and try it out again. My friend and I have played MMO's together for a long time but the last few years we haven't been able to group much because he was working nightshift. Now hes going back to days and wants to get back to grouping and hanging out in a game again. Anyways he picked the server. I am not heavy into RPing so I would be looking for an RP light kin. I do not want a kin to hold my hand and power level me through the game. I do want a kin to get to know, have fun with, and group with. I know Lotro tends to be an alt heavy game. I just want to have fun. We are also looking for a kin that might do some end game stuff, as we want to try to experience it all. Previous attempts at playing the game only got us to midgame stuff. This time I want to just have fun in the game. Finding a good kin is important, as it can mean the difference between enjoying the game or not.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello!
My fiance and I are finally ready to join a kinship!
I'm Virginia (Age 24), a lvl 58 Elf Hunter (Glinien), and he's Brian (Age 27), a lvl 57 Man Guardian (Freond).
We're hoping to find a light to heavy RP kin, though we're not very active roleplayers, we're looking for a kin full of people who have a passion for the works of Tolkien.
If a kin is located in Southern California that's an added bonus, as we're looking to forge some friendships, but it's not a dealbreaker by any means. We're hoping for an intimate kin, nothing too big! We'd like to get to know you! We're looking for a kin for social reasons, not necessarily for leveling purposes.
We have a mild interest in raiding (him moreso), and a definite interest in PvMP, though we haven't done either! Neither of us have reached level cap, so we're new to any end game stuff as well! But we have been playing lotro pretty much since the beginning!
We try to play for at least an hour a day, more on weekends, but both of us attend Art School full time, and run a small business on the side, so our schedules are somewhat unpredictable! We've had these characters for about a year, if that says anything about our playing habits!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, we look forward to hearing from you and forging some friendships!!!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Berenion, Man, Warden, Level 9
Just got Warden from the LOTRO, decided to make my first Warden on Landroval because wanted to try RP some. I have a fair amount of knowledge of the LOTR-verse, don't know Elvish ;) Currently I play quite a bit. I enjoy questing, skirmish, raids, crafting, and socializing. Looking for a medium RP Kin and some advice on where to select housing and decide on a helpful crafting profession for possible kin. CST, RL: mature 26 male

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Caterine Rosewood, Female, Man, Hunter, lv. 15, Woodsman
Preferring medium-heavy roleplay.
Hours vary on RL commitments and class schedule, but I'm generally on every day for several hours.
I tend to be a solo explorer/gatherer, but I wouldn't say no to partying up and questing/raiding/whatever.
Yes, I'm still wearing my n00b gear, but in my cosmetic slot.
Time zone: EST - Kinship found! Thank you very much!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
So, going to give this a shot since my kinship has more or less died down to just a few people. I'm looking to join something on my alt, which may very well become my new main. I don't plan on not playing my other characters and a few of them will remain in the deflated guild we have, but hoping to find something else because RP on Landy seems to be very hit and miss for me. I'm not sure how this will come off and I am hoping it is not read negatively. I am very much just looking for the right spot and I'm hoping someone can direct me.
Here's what I'm looking for:
-Heavy RP guild: I want to RP. That's why I'm here. I'm hoping to find some people who are patient. I will spend time waiting for responses and I'm hoping others are willing to do the same. I'm not fond of one-liner RPs, though I have and will RP with plenty of people who do this. I don't mind it terribly, but it's not what I really am looking for. I tend to RP in paragraphs and I don't want to be discriminated against based on how I indicate OOC statements or what tense I type in or what have you. I don't think those things matter and I'm hoping to find others like-minded.
-Not Lore Crazed: I don't want to be harassed over lore though I will stand by lore as best as I can. I haven't read every piece of everything Tolkien and I have no interest in doing so, but my RP concepts will always fit into the themes of the world. I'm hoping to find a group of people who are not going to stop RP in the middle to OOCly nitpick about some mistake I've made. I don't mind being politely reminded of something or spoken to OOCly in tells or something, but I have no patience for the kinds of things I've seen going on in the past.
-Inclusive guild: I want to share my work and read and view the work of others and I'm hoping to not have to spend years establishing myself in order to get any attention. I'm not expecting people to fawn all over me, but to just give me a fair shot despite that I don't have as much time or LOTRO background as others. I've been battling that since I joined and I'd like to find myself a 'home' and not have to worry about how RL pulled me away for 2 weeks so now I'm more or less back to square one. It'd be nice to find a place that uses their forums a lot, too. I'm a very forum-happy person.
-Non-Military Concept: While I can certainly appreciate this style of RP and the many interesting ways people view and use the mechanics with this mentality, I'm not looking to join something Military based at this point in time. I'm not going to have as much time in LOTRO as I had before and I'd like to spend what time I do have RPing, playing music and exploring the system more and crafting/harvesting. My characters tend to be very 'average joe' style and I like playing that. I believe the interest in RP for me comes from situations and relations with other characters and how one person reacts to someone else's actions. While a military theme obviously holds a place for this, I'm hoping for something different.
If you know of any guild that might fit these things, all or one, please let me know. I'd really like to get back into the swing of things and I'm hoping I can find the right group this time! :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Dedicada Paz & Fernthistle Entwhistle (alt), looking for a Kin.
Dedicada is a Warden, Race-of-man. Fernthistle is a Hunter, Hobbit. She is currently lv 25 almost 26, he is currently 18 almost 19.
I consider myself an explorer, crafter, group player, occasionally raider, sometimes RPer. I am a fan of the books. I read plenty of other fantasy books and love to talk about speculative literature with others :) (in real life i'm a grad student...)
I play maybe 15 to 25 hours a week (eastern US time zone). Depending on the usual set of circumstances. I also play Eve online. I find that playing 2 different games helps me not "burn out". I am new to LOTRO but not to online rpgs. in addition to the aforementioned eve, I also played world-of-you-know what for 4 years, leaving recently due to friends in-game having horrid fights and me needing to escape into another world. I am very very happy with lotro so far, the game as well as the people.
I'm a paying subscriber. I'll order the upcoming expansion soon :D (i would have already ordered it but i didnt want to go through the lower level areas 25% faster, because they're pretty awesome and i wanted to be able to experience everything)
In (you know what game) i was an officer in my guild, which was known on our server for being a skillful and close knit raiding guild. I was in charge of settling grievances, the conciliatory one if you will :)
I LOVE to craft and look forward to Dedicada becoming world reknowned for her tailoring prowess and Fernthistle for his whittling masterworks. I also love having a little house to call my own in the bree homesteads. Dedicada is sure she will visit the kinship house, so long as there is a place to rest her feet and a pitcher of stout beverages....
I don't know anything about the way to make in-game music but i think it's awesome.
I hope to find a fun loving and helpful home where not only are there good players, but also good people.
I hope the right person sends Dedicada and/or Fernthistle a lotromail soon!
Cheers.
Dedicada Paz/ Fernthistle Entwhistle

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Semi-vet from Dwarrowdelf server, new to Landroval, seeking kinship.
Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level:
Megildan, Man of Gondor, Champion, currently L-14, but it will be higher before the end of the night.
If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat:
Joined Landroval to do more RP than what I can get on Dwarrowdelf. RP is my main concern on this server. I would not turn down some IC or OOC quest-line runs, skirmishes, or raids if they came my way. I loathe PvP in all its forms and would really only entertain the idea of it for RP purposes.
How many hours a week do you play?
Not as much as I would like, since I have a pretty active life IRL. Mainly a weekender with the occasional evening thrown in. I can really only count on about 5 hours a week, but it can be as much as 10 or 15.
Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc):
When questing, I tend to be a soloer, since I usually prefer to go at my own pace. However, I would not turn my nose up at the occasional fellowship. A resource for working on fellowship quests would be awesometastic.
Various other information a kinship may find useful:
Lore junky. Started playing LotRO because I'm a lore junky. I don't force it down anyone's throat or anything, but I can sometimes start to geek out when I recognize something on the game map that is described in an obscure passage from the books. I would prefer RPing where lore was adhered to at a respectable level, but I don't expect perfection or anything. Top priority is still to have fun.
Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.:
Though my main toon on this server is male, I am myself female. 29 years old. CST. Will have more toons on this server in time. Tend to RP characters of a good alignment.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
AnaTorrent - Elf - Hunter - 35
LinaLeandersson - Dwarf - Guardian - 41
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
No real interest in roleplaying, joined the server because a few friends had characters on it from awhile ago but they never play. Would consider raiding.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Matters on if I work or not, play about four hours if I'm off and two if I work. I'm on between the hours of 10 PM and 12 PM (I work a night shift).
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Have mainly soloed but go around in fellowships when I can find them which can be hard during the middle of the night.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
22 - Eastern

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm quite new on Landroval. Most of my characters are on Crickhollow, as a matter of fact, although even on there I haven't been playing too long (a month and a half, maybe two at most). My only Landroval character as of yet is Aulay, a level 8 (almost 9), at the time of this writing, Hobbit Guardian.
I like questing/exploring/et cetera in a fellowship, although I prefer to know my fellows at least a little, so I'm generally solo. Real life-wise, I'm sixteen, and go by EST. I'm looking to get into the RP scene (I have a little bit on Crickhollow, but I'm still relatively new to the whole thing), preferably medium or heavy, although any of the three classifications works just fine. How often I'm on differs from day to day, but on average, I'd say 3-4 hours daily at least. I'm a lore junkie, but I'm not super-knowledgeable or anything (I've just read LotR, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion).
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
So, I've tried to get into this game several times, and the universe always seemed to conspire against me at the time. Never even got a character above level 10, until now that is. I've got my character up to 21, and I'm really liking the game this time around. I was hoping to maybe stumble upon a kinship, but that hasn't happened yet so I'm gonna try this.
My character is Erewulf, race of man, warden, and currently level 21.
-In terms of roleplaying, RP-lite is probably preferred. Sometimes, you just need to ask "should I push this button or that button". And I'm just not the greatest RPer ever, and I'd probably muss up RPing enough to anger a heavy RP kinship.
-As for PvP, raiding, and so forth. Well, I'm level 21 right now, so being able to group, level and do epic quests with others is certainly the main priority. Once I get to a level where PvP and raiding are things to do, I'd like to, but not at the exclusion of doing other things.
-How much a week I play tends to vary. But usually I like to play on weekends, and some weekdays from about 7pm mountain standard to 11pm.
-For my playstyle... I tend to be... flaky? I'm pretty easy going, and it's more about having fun than anything else. So, running around doing epic quests or levelling, or doing raids, or whatever. I don't like tedium, so only doing one thing constantly would bore me.
-As for more info, I'm in colorado, which is mountain standard time. Doesn't really matter where everyone else is, as long as times tend to coincide.
-Other stuffs. As I said I'm pretty easy going, it is all about the journey and the fun. So, lots of grouping is definitely a plus, I never mind being dragged along for the ride (unless it's a ride to enternal annoyance, then I'll have a problem). A helpful kinship would be nice (I assume most are helpful), and I'd like to be helpful later on, once I stop being a helpless newbie. :p
I think that's it. Ya can always ask me more if I forgot anything.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm looking for a kinship for both role play and occasional out of character chat, preferably with room for a lot of creativity and learning more about the lore. I have a level 15 hunter elf named Taisynn, and I am currently working on playing the game and reading the books. I've already read The Hobbit, and I am now reading The Fellowship of the Ring.
Though I mostly solo, I sometimes need help with quests here and there. I also need new contacts, because I started anew on this server in hopes of finding some fun, mature role play. I'd prefer to find a kinship with college level maturity in comparison, though light hearted fun is a requirement. I play everyday for at least 3-4 hours a day, Pacific Time Zone, and perhaps more since I am currently on summer break from college. I currently have VIP and have already pre-ordered the Isenguard expansion pack.
- Taisynn, Elf
- Level 15 Hunter
- Roleplay with room for OOC Chat
- 3-4 hours, if not more
- Mostly Solo

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Alas, I will join the folks looking for a Kinship, too. I used to be part of Shadow Company but I can't seem to find any trace of them now. I don't mind a military RP Kin, though I find a lot of them are the Race of Man only and don't really allow elves. Neiahel specializes in being a scholar so she is always up for adventure and exploration. I'm currently wandering around Evendium doing quests. Send me a tell in game or a PM here both are decent ways to contact me.
Details:
- Neiahel of Mirkwood, Elf
- Level 38 Minstrel
- Role-play (Med or Heavy) and a OOC chat channel
- 2-5 hours/day
- Mostly Solo, though, love grouping with others.
- Healing minstrel, though I'm slotted for solo right now.
- VIP right now, possibility with going premium every other month due to money constraints. (was already a premium to begin with ;) )
- 25 (age)
- PST time zone, mostly late hours after 10pm~ish

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Name: Ferndoc Sweetleaf
Race: Hobbit
Class: Burglar
Current Level: 24
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I am interested in a light to medium-heavy roleplay kinship. I like to roleplay, but I don't wanna get yelled at by any RP police if something is OOC or isn't completely lore correct.
I am interested in raiding, once I get to that point. I've been playing MMOs for many years (since Ultima, through Everquest & DAoC, and on to the Dark One, which shall remain nameless), so I have a lot of experience.
PVP is something I am interested in, but not too terribly much. I quit the last MMO I played because it was so competitive and started LOTRO because I just kinda wanted to hang out and have fun.
- How many hours a week do you play?
This varies, of course, with my schedule, but I play quite a bit when I can. Minimum 8 hours a week, all the way up to 20 or 30 hours a week.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I mostly play solo and spend a lot of time on my professions and crafting (this character is a Tinker).
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I am a Chief in another kinship (which will remain nameless, as it has no relevance here). That kinship doesn't do any sort of RP, so I'm looking to get in with a good group of mature RPers with this character. I am only interested in kinships that are exclusively for burglars or exclusively for hobbits... or better yet, exclusively for hobbit burglars, haha. I have read LOTR and the Hobbit numerous times, and have read the Sil a few times also, so I'm fairly knowledgeable of the lore, if that makes any difference.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Age: 33
Time Zone: Central
Etc.: I have a weird schedule at my job, so I'm probably going to be on when most others are not; like in the middle of the day on weekdays. Also, even though I am a Chief in another kin, don't let that scare you away. That kin isn't very active and I rarely play that character anymore. Ferndoc is my new golden boy, and I look forward to a long and prosperous career with your kinship... burgling and whatnot.
Thanks for taking the time to peruse my post, and I look forward to hearing from someone soon!
(I prefer a /tell in-game, since I rarely come to these boards, but a pm here is fine, too. thanks!)

Elf Warden
Mae govannen... I am seeking for an elf-oriented kinship at the moment. I used to wander around in another server, called Withywindle, and I've used 2-3 different characters there. For instance, my hunter hobbit was leveled up to 63. Now that I wanted to hang around in Landroval, just created another character 3 days ago, and I would like to join to a big kinship whereas I may have friendly relations, some fun, fellowship quests, skirmishes, and raids in the future. I level up quite fast since I used to play beforehand.
Details:
- Artaniel Earfalas of Lorien, Female Elf
- Level 16 Warden
- 2-7 hours/day, depending on the workload
- Lifetime VIP Membership
- 23-Female
- (UTC+01:00) Time Zone - from Sweden
- Like crafting stuff, playing music around. Used to be a heavy quest-based character, but now opting for a lot more easygoing, fun-based adventure around the Middle Earth.
P.S. I prefer /tell or mail by post in-game.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Name: Ninesgalien
Race: Woman
Class: Guardian
Level: 31
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I want a kinship that is geared towards heavy/med RP (my girl is "rumored" to be a ranger in the town of Bree.) that fits my character's play style. I would like a kin that helps out with leveling, if only a little.
- How many hours a week do you play?
It depends on my schedule, but I play daily most of the time.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I am a dyed in the wool RP'er. I would also consider myself an explorer and I do like to solo a lot, but having a tight-knight group of people willing to help out with quests and skirmishes is great too. I'm still new to the game and I am still exploring it.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I am looking for something Man-only, but it doesn't have to be. For me, I want an RP kin most. I am also looking for a mature kin 18-20+
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Age: mid/late 20's
Time zone: Central

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Goruil of Gondor, Man, Warden, Nineth.
Would enjoy a heavy roleplay kinship, also would like to try PvP later on.
Fifteen to twenty hours a week.
Explorer and solo player for the most part as I level my main.
Looking for a heavy roleplay group with a focus toward immersion in the Lord of the Rings setting. But would prefer one that keeps group story lines non-epic and in line with the canon material.
