I still blame it on Ghost-Bear. Its the only logical conclusion.

I fear logic.

I remain,

*Chuckles*
Some tween was pesterin' Bounder Chief Meadowlarke Sweetweed, Hundredaire merchant of Buckland and Addernotch Shirriff o' the Shire? Whilst he was tryin' to nap?
*Chuckles again. Then pulls out his demerit pad*
Re: ALES & TALES (every Monday!)
I had a fantastic time! Great to see so many old friends and make some new ones.
Looking forward to next week in The Shire.
Re: ALES & TALES (every Monday!)
I've been experiencing something very strange at the last few Ales and Tales. When I first arrive to the venue, I will be unable to hear what Harperella or other performers and tale-tellers are saying, even though I can see their emotes, and what the audience is saying. Moving closer to the stage does not help. Then halfway through the event, my ears will mysteriously start working normally. Last night I was completely unable to hear Lyonardo's tale!
Am I going mad? Have my ears been posessed? Has anyone else experienced this?

Sometimes I get the notorious /say channel glitch. It's just the strangest thing, you can't hear any spoken words. I re-log immediately, and that cures it. Of course, you miss some of the tale... It's a spell of the Nazgûl, I think, to confound our Free People's speech.
Re: ALES & TALES (every Monday!)
Aye, it's good to see some new folk coming along and having a grand time.
Just remember, it's Ales AND Tales! We've been lacking a bit in the tale department lately - though i must say Fancypant's tale about the Chief wearing a dress was quite the eye-opener. It's true, yes yes, i haven't told a tale myself for a while, but i've been up and told atleast four or so in the past, including that fabulous rhyming at The Forsaken Inn i don't remember much about.
So come on all your folk that can read and write! Let's see you all prepare something to blurt out for all our enjoyment at the next couple!
I myself am working on a couple of new things, i should get off my wrinkly behind and finish them off!
-Tarn.
Oh an just by the by, here's a couple of paintings i had whipped up earlier but haven't shown folk yet.
This first one is a lovely one i got down at Tuckborough looking to the west as the sun was coming up in the east (as it often does). Ahh the sky was a lovely shade that morning. Unfortunately though, the rest of my fellowship had run off at this point to fight and Valaraein (Pasty) was getting her lithe figured whacked by a brigand or two as a result. Heh, ahh well, it all turned out fine in the end.
This second one's of the gathering we had when Ales and Tales tramped north to Ost Forod in Evendim to share the good times. I was feeling a bit blue for this one so i kept a low profile - like normal really - at the event, but it warmed me to see so many folk dancing and having a good time. If i remember correctly my kin-brother Omsi even fell over the edge towards the end. He must have been having a really good time. I'm sure the drinks provider can attest to that.

If the dwarf hadn't been off waxing poetic about the sunrise, maybe those brigands wouldn't have been chasing after me! Heh.
Re: ALES & TALES (every Monday!)
Great pics, Tarn. We've definitely been a little thin on tales lately. I'd like to propose another Tall Tales night at the Floating Log. Extra points if it involves a frog or a turtle.

Ah, A fine painting of me dancing with all those ladies... and before I let my hair down too.
Re: ALES & TALES (every Monday!)
We certainly livened up the Scholar's Walk on Monday.

Lyonardo told a story that may or may not have involved the Chief wearing a dress.
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4064/...c2a69647_b.jpg
I played some more dark, brooding music I learned from a strange band of gypsies calling themselves "De Pesh Mode" or something...

The Frosthammer Clan issued a call to duty to all dwarves and dwarf-friends!

And Harperella played music that was more beautiful and less brooding than mine.

Oh I know, that was great. And him doing flips after we were out of combat! :D

I love to run around Lothlorien barefoot, but the streets of Bree are far too filthy for that sort of thing. Finhl should be more cautious. You never know what kind of refuse you might encounter in Bree. ;)
Re: ALES & TALES (every Monday!)
Don't forget to be working on your tall tales. Extra points if you work in a frog or turtle!

Sheesh I can hear the tales about some great huge violent Turdle now, like anyone would believe such a silly thing.

I think a tale about a huge violent Hobbit would be exponentially more amusing.

That would be the most awesome story ever.
Also, Aethlin has a tragic/spooky/scary/cautionary story about a hobbit's unwanted advances towards a beautiful elf-maid.

Is this directed at Javelarry?

Nope! It's the tale of an unknown hobbit. She heard it from a friend of a friend.
Rumour is that the hobbit went missing after a bar fight! So it can't be Larry, who isn't missing.

If you want a certain hobbit to go missing, i'm sure it can be arranged ;).
