It's what happens when you push your class to its limits and play it well.
See Ryswald above.

I don't know the person with that WT but I'm just going guess they played there burg a lot more pre MoM then after MoM.
I think I was Rk 7 or 8 at the end of SoA?
The rest was through MoM - Which is the far majority of renown.

Or all they do is hit and run ganks post MoM.
Solo, small grp, no raiding.
I've had 2.000 multiple times every rank since Rk 5 (? - Would have to check).
The class is unstoppable, really, when played flawlessly: See Ryswald above.

Takes lots of hips and maps to get that war tab!!
Who HiPS and waits for spam track and then outsmarts 24 man Ziirgs?
Oh yeah, me :).

Lol, no it's not. When you push your class to its limits you aren't going to be holding on to very many stars.

That's no accomplishment with the bag-swapping bug/exploit still in play.
Re: ~Official Wartab Page~
Do you have a high ranked burg Brangdha? And if you don't you don't know how to push that class to its limits. Second i totally disagree with you on getting stars, especially on FF. When there is someone who "hordes" stars, everyone goes after that person, when Fasha was trying to get 5 stars, he was #1 on everyones hit list. So don't say you play our class to the limits when people will go after you to no limits.

When you understand the limitations of your own skillset, the other factions skillset, and your surroundings, you can push your class to its limit without giving an opening for the other faction.
Of course, I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

This was before bag swapping was even in existence. In fact, the rise of bag swapping didn't come into play until the end of MoM: Doing a quick search shows that it became a known and obvious issue in October and I stopped playing in mid-November. Nice try but you are failtastic! The fact that people cite bag swapping as some reason as to why Burgs are able to outsmart players is just short of ridiculous. Quit with the excuses as to why you can't kill anything.
Not to mention that anyone with half a clue would know that during the bag swapping era, neither faction raided much.
Creeps and their pathing is predictable. I've already written a long guide highlighting this very point: You and 95% of other Creeps currently playing are predictable.
Anything else?

In all fairness people who horde their stars you never see unless they got a group with them. Burgs tend to have alot of stars cause they can hide at rez and pick who they want to kill gauge weather or not they have a very good chance of winning. Fasha would wait till he knew the guy would die before jumping in made sure he was rarely the person to ever run in after a freep and aggro guards unless he knew he could get him or hips if they person got a heal. Most people with stars spar and do whatever they have to win it..i tend to hold back and try to let the fight get as close as it can and often let myself die when i still have skills that would of let me win. I want it to be a good fight not a blow out or me always winning.
I personally hate star huggers cause they don't do anything unless its a sure kill they may tag couple guys for renown/infamy but they are very rarely the ones to be leading the charge without a plan of escape. Certain classes require more hugging then others, like champs, class with 0 b/p/e pretty much bound to die unless you got yourself a pocket healer.
Playing your class to the limits is going balls to the walls giving everything you have when the odds are stacked against you and coming out with the win. Not using everything you have in a fight cause you know you will win. Its the uncertainty of the outcome that lets you know you are pushing the limits.

Love em or hate em, we're out there. Getting stars on the minstrel is nothing like getting stars on the burglar. You can't just pop out for a little dps and hips away. I've seen minstrels lead a charge, and I love them for it when I'm on my creep. But a good healer does not lead charges.
I usually hovered around 1600-1700 on my minstrel when I wasn't hugging. I didn't solo either. Really, I would only play the mini when my kinnies needed a healer, otherwise I prefer my burglar. When I decided to go for 5, I had the full support of my kinmates. We move around the moors like we own the place and we're very effective. Of course I wouldn't take my minstrel out if I didn't have a balanced group, but that's to be expected. And I couldn't have done it without the help of my kin.
I'm not a donkey, I don't refrain from using skills because I want the extra challenge. I am the extra challenge, creeps can take it or leave it. Of course, I'm a hard target to get when I'm rolling with my mates. There are easier targets that can be killed despite my healing them that they usually go after. If I feel like creeps need welfare, I'll bring out my warden.
One a side note, I've grown very accustom to the support I get on my minstrel. It's like being a princess with a full security force around you. It's going to be hard for me to go back to being a pocket healer.

Starhugging always has been a thrill imo. The thrill of being targetted and getting away just always makes me /smile. Kudos to you.

QFT. This happens all the time. However, people are so passionate about PvP (not even stars), that they form vendetta's towards certain players.

Sounds like a very smart player. Sounds like he's playing his class to it's limits -- knowing his strengths and limitations, and playing within them.

Again, that sounds like playing ones class to the limits.....without dying.

Not quite. With the amount of DPS present in the 'moors, anyone can die at any given moment, so just showing yourself in the 'moors is technically pushing yourself to the limits by your definition. IMO, pushing yourself to the limits is to use everything your class has to offer without compromising yourself enough to lose. If you lose, you've gone past your limits. If you win, you've pushed your limits as far as they needed to go to win. Limits should not include death. That's why they are limits -- you don't want to go past them.

at the same time, getting targeted and getting killed for a stupid reason makes me rage.
Re: ~Official Wartab Page~
On my Rk i got up to 3.5 stars by just sitting in a ball of what FF calls regular pvpers (atm), there was no way at that moment i was playing my class to its fullest potential. People who Solo, get 5k+ a day and still have a good amount of stars plays their class to a great potential. In no way does that happen right now though because of the sheer amount of creep to freep ratio. On FF you will get lucky if you make it down the horizon without being called out. So at the moment, there is only two ways to get stars: first sit and wait to get an easy kill and run away, second sit in a zirg ball and don't die for hours on end.

You only got to 3.5, you didn't get the whole 5. You fell short.

I wouldn't consider 5 stars a great acheivement imho since you can do it in the most boring way even while you are half afk. That is why balls to the walls is so much more fun, especially when you get into fights that could go either way. It is mind numbing boring if I always know the outcome.
