Roleplayer: Interested in RP, especially driven, story-oriented RP but it's not at all a requirement; I'm fine with a guild with no RP. Either way is fine.

Player Type: Probably on the casual side of in the middle.

Why I'd be good in your kinship: I'm pretty good at the game, I'm friendly, an adult, am fairly familiar with Tolkien's work, have a sense of humor. I try my best to play the game well but I recognize it's just a game and am easy to get along with if you're the same!

Basically, I want to find a group that is:

- Social, even lively...enjoy a good chat, enjoy talking about a variety of subjects and getting to know people
- Mature (not children or anghst-stricken teens)
- Fairly casual -- the type who play at least a little bit most days but for whom LotRO is not their primary source of entertainment in their lives...so not 5 hour a night folks...
- Preferably pretty intelligent, artist or academic types...the types who like independent films, who read, and have interesting real lives beyond "Well, I've worked at Gamestop for 7 years..."
- People who are interested in trying their best at the game and learning the ins and outs but who also realize it's just a game and not to take it too seriously. Elite raiding guilds kind of remind me of groupthink corporations...no thanks.
- Preferably a guild with a bit more diversity beyond just the 17-25 year old suburban males who populate MMOs!

I don't have time to game as much as I used to so I killed my WoW account and am going 100% LotRO and I'm in it for the long haul I think, with hopes of just enjoying new content when it comes out and maybe having fun in community events and getting to know people's IC and OOC selves. That's why I play games! Exploring new things and socializing!

Andelgar here, level 30 Hobbit Minstrel, and I am seeking Kinship! I am a mature, dedicated player that is returning to LOTRO after getting a new computer(Sadly, old one went kaboom *sniff*) and I am ready to rock once again. I am not a very good player, I am by no means hardcore or the best minstrel out there, but I am probably one of the most fun, light-hearted players you can find in this game.

I am here to have fun, run around, and explore this land of Middle Earth. I do not care how long it takes me to reach level 50, (which shouldn't be too much longer) or if I ever get 'elite' items. I enjoy casual to medium role-playing, as well farming and just chatting in-game. I am married, and work the 9-5, and usually find a few hours on the weeknights, and generally a bit more on weekends. My time spent on weeknights is generally just running around, doing a few quests and just having fun. That's what I'm here, to have fun.

Honestly, I have no idea why I'm doing this. Maybe it's because I'm sick of having to do nothing but randomly grind mobs in order to get what I see as my "money's worth" out of this game. Maybe I'm tired of random groups (ok, that's not true, I've been sick of random groups for a very long time, and that's not going to change, but it's not enough motivation to join a kinship). Maybe I'm just curious if anyone even wants me. Oh well, no use pondering reasons now, I'll never get anywhere.

Well...about me...I'm a six year old girl irl, I like being outspoken about things I don't understand and interfering in the business of others, and I tend to pull random mobs in massive numbers when it's totally uncalled for since I don't know how to play my class. Anyone who's ever grouped with me can attest to this.

Seriously though, I'm...well, I prefer not to give out my age, so let's stick with "six year old girl" for now, I've been in this game for a very long time (for what it's worth) and have several GM craftsmen attached to my account. I'm not much for RP, but that's not to say I'm incapable of it when called upon, I just don't enjoy it most of the time. I used to be on fairly consistently, but not so much any more, though that may or may not change at some point in the future. I would prefer a kinship in which all or most of the members are reasonably intelligent adults, though I will concede to the fact that I've met plenty of teenagers and such so far who would give most of the adults on the server a run for their money in that regard. Members must also be able to speak a language that I can clearly percieve as English. Of course if I do join any kinship they will also have to be able to deal with my sometimes nonsensical or otherwise dry sense of humor when it comes up, which will be often. In the end, I just want something to do that's not grinding mobs. Oh, and the closest I've ever been to joining a kinship (my "prior experience" so to speak) was when I got invited into Hobbitual accidentally since the kinship leader was tired and not paying attenting, hence his hitting the wrong invite button, and I was tired and not paying attention, hence my accepting...it only lasted for the duration of Book 5 Chapter 8 way back in the day though, so it doesn't really count for much.

I live on the east coast of the U.S., but I have odd work hours so it would be possible for me to group with players located nowhere near there pretty regularly (I have in the past), though work will ALWAYS come first, even if I get arbitrarily called in at the last second. I'm quite interested in the responses I get, so feel free to send me either a tell or an in-game mail on the subject on Saelraen or if you know of them (can't imagine how you would, but if you do then more power to you) any of my alts on Landroval. Be sure to clearly indicate what it's regarding so I don't assume it's spam and ignore it (no promises that I won't ignore it anyway, but that's an occupational hazard for a recruiter).

I am currently in a kinship right now that is very friendly and fun, however I would be more interested in a kinship that is Elven based (not necessarily elven only) and that RPs. I enjoy a more laid back style of play. One that enjoys doing something, but isn't necessarily in a hurry to get to lvl 50. I enjoy helping others with their quests whether I need it or not. I'm also interested if possible in a kinship that has created a history/ backstory as to the creation of the kinship and their reason for being. Hope that's not too specific. Of course a kinship doesn't have to be all of these, but the more the better. Especially if it is an elven rp kinship.

That being said, I live in Arizona and am 23 years old. I usually get a chance to play around 6-10 PM.

About me (the player): I've been an avid Tolkein fan since before high school and I'm 43 now so that's quite a while. ;) I've been gaming in one form or another just as long. My online experiences include Gemstone 3, Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, WoW, and City of Heroes/Villains. My roleplay in those game went from none (EQ, SWG, WoW) to moderate (DAoC, CoX) to heavy (GS3).

What I'm looking for now is the perfect balance between RP and regular game play. Something between Ub3r l33tness and "Alas, mine legs have atrophied for I haven't left the Prancing Pony for twelve score days (give or take a fortnight)". Above all else I'm looking to contribute to a FUN and ACTIVE kinship.

Caveats: I play late nights (11pm-3am ish)in the central (US) time zone. I have a life complete with kids so regular "prime time" play just isn't possible. I'm sure there are several great kinships out there that won't be the right fit because of this. I also require kinships with mature-minded memebers - ie I don't want to hear members whining about not getting the Fez of Fortitude because <insert class envy here> shouldn't have rolled on it. :)

Hello. I am in a bit of a quandry.

I have a level 27 hobbit hunter. I am married and have a young son so my playtimes are very limited. I love heavy RP, but I hate the "end game" raids and will probably never see them. I am looking for a social rp guild, but one with many active members.

I have joined several kinships but tend to get stuck in either tiny ones or large ones without active members so I wind up being alone as if I wasn't in a kinship at all.

I guess I'm looking for a roleplaying kinship that accepts a casual playstyle. I am a grandmaster cook so I have no problems providing food for the kin (or leather items after I get that leveled up).

I am willing to submit to an in game interview in character as part of the membership acceptance, in fact I almost alway prefer that when joining because it's fun.

Is there a casual playstyle / heavy rp kinship out there that could accept me?

I am a lifetime subscriber and have just come back after taking around a 3 month break. My characters up to this point were all on Arkenstone and I was an officer in a kinship there. However, I have decided to 'start from scratch' somewhat and decided to start one here on Landroval. I just felt like starting fresh again and working my way up. Also, being the 'unofficial' RP server attracted me as well. I am interested in either a crafting oriented kinship or an elven one. I am 27 years old, married, my first child is due in January, and work Monday-Friday...so I'm not one of those type of players that will be on all the time. Normal playtime for me is usually between 6:00-10:00 PM (Central Time U.S.) on weekdays, and various times on the weekends.

I just started playing the game, and I'm really enjoying it, so far. I play a 17th level Elf Hunter named Melawil (original, mmm?), and I'm looking for a moderate- to heavy- RP kinship. Like others in the thread, I love the immersive feel of the game, and prefer to do my own quests solo (if I can), to avoid that "rush through to the endgame" feeling. I'm friendly, quiet, helpful and reasonably well versed in the lore. I prefer to avoid "manifest destiny" sorts of RP - there is no need for me to RP "Glamrockindel, the sekrit elven high king with phearsome mind powaz", I'm happier just RPing a "doing my part in the fight against the Enemy" role.

I just hit lvl 41 on my Burg and was experiencing a general feeling of slowdown in terms of experience gained and overall gameplay. I post here in hopes of finding a Kinship that can help me lvl, group for fun, and help me learn this whole game better.
Little about me, I have played many online rpgs, everything from ragnarok to eve. I prefer the gameplay here at LotrO to just about anything I have found. The last online game I really got into was UO, and I think that was due to having my rl friends playing along with me. I feel I am pretty good overall as a gamer, and a good team player, so I have something to offer any decent kin.

Roleplaying: Not sure what this entails, but I would be willing to do whatever as long as someone can help me out with what I need to do.

Kind of player: Laid back, but I get pretty upset when someone does something stupid that kills me or other members of my group. For instance, I was in a fellowship with this guy last night. He kept getting way ahead of me because he was sneaking by everything. I ended up getting killed because of it. As you can imagine I was pretty upset.

Beneficial to Kinship: I am still learning the controls, but once I get that down I will be a good player for fellowship. I am pretty quiet, but if I have something to say I will speak up. I am just looking for a friendly experience. If someone needs assistance and I am close I will be happy to help as long as others would do the same. If there are some newer Kinships out there I would love to learn and grow with others. If some older Kinships want to take me under their wing I would like that too.

Hey all I'm looking for a Kinship that doesn't mind a Lowbie. I was on the open beta of LOTRO and the closed beta I think I can't remember...anyways I joined the game bought it...at the time I was working a temp job so my sister talked me into spending a full paycheck to get the unlimited usage package...and then about 2 weeks after the game launched quit leaving me behind in the LOTRO world without any friends. So I spent another week with no luck in a guild and walked away from Lotro and about 300 bucks 9_9;

I've decided to give it another shot and because it's been so long I have to restart. I'm looking for a guild that doesn't mind my low level, will be willing to help me when I get stuck and can't continue due to my being not so impressive in the solo department.

Anyways so my in game name is Saiwyn and I'll be working on my levels on and off until I get a group, I tend to be more active in my leveling when I actually have people to talk to and all that.

Anyways I'm really just looking for a friendly helpful guild but I'm not against RP either. I just don't want a guild that expects me to spend like 10 hours a day on the game every day. This is probably a very long shot (and a very long post), but I suppose it can't hurt to try.

I'm looking for a kinship here on Landroval. I only just started playing the game, and I'm loving it so far, and now I'd like to find a casual, friendly group of people that I can get to know, and maybe work on some fellowship quests with and such.

I'm afraid I don't have much to offer in return. I'm brand-new not only to the game but to MMORPGs in general. I'm eager to learn, and I'm a quick learner, but any kinship that takes me on should be aware that I have tons to learn yet, so I'll pretty much need any kinship I join to be very newb-friendly and willing to help me out with things as I find my way around.

As for other things, I am mature, and over the age of 21 IRL (though not by a lot), so I tend to prefer dealing with other mature people. I'm a little shy at first but I do like meeting people and making friends. I'm familiar with the lore, and I have done a lot of RP in various written formats, so I'd definitely be willing to try it out in this context as well.

My game-time is mostly going to be on weekends, during the day, due to my work schedule and other RL/online commitments. I try to get on for an hour or two on weekdays sometime between 4-7 pm CST, and on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon I can easily get sucked into the game for five or six hours. So I'd consider myself a casual but regular gamer, interested in doing a bit of everything - questing, crafting, exploring, whatever might come up.

Okay, so the amount of epeens and drama constantly going on over on brandywine, have caused me to not log in there for a week. This has lead me to a decision, I'll be playing over here as my mains. Now you might be thinking, why post this on the forums? No one cares, blah blah. Well, thing is, its a big lonely world out there, and a person can get quite lonely at times. So along with playing over here more, I am in need of a group of like minded Kin. What I would like to get into ideally (yes, i have seen the kinship thread, no it isn't up to date.)
-Medium Roleplay - I like to rp from time to time, but when it comes down to it, having to do it all the time can get annoying, would like to have at least a decent story behind the kinship I join.
-Active Players - would like to see 10+ people on at peak times, because incase your new to the forums, I like to chat quite a bit. Not as much as Pastor mind you, but maybe one day I'll catch him.
- No Hardcore Raiding - Did that last game, I play very casually these days, and if I ever step foot in a raid, it will be a long long long time away.

Note that I am also looking for Tribes for my creeps, currently I've been playing Rathi my BA for some cheap kicks, but once next book hits, I'll be back to my true Reaver nature on Zombiebunny.

But if I am asking all this, you might be wondering, just what does this cute fluffy abomination bring to the group? I am a very friendly, helpful player, I care nothing about advancement so monetary gain is meh. I'm always willing to help other players, be it with some gear, quests, or just some company to run around with. Kinship chat will rarely be quiet with me around (good or bad depending on how you see it). AND, I can play a mean lute (including the Brave Sir Robin song from Monty Python, but please, don't eat me when winter comes)

I am looking for a kinship that is very heavily into questing. I would also love to find an all adult guild that has a lot of "Lifetimers" in it like myself because I am here for the long haul.

I am hoping to find a guild that does weekly or bi-weekly runs on the major quests like Goblin Leaders, GA, GB, Thief takers and Tomb of Elendil. Even once a month would be great!! There are just so many quests I never got a chance to finish when I played on another server that I would LOVE to do!! And I would also love to go on those runs to aid the people younger than myself that need them.

About me: Been playing LOTRO since January and love it. I joined Landroval 3 weeks ago and am having a ball leveling up 5 girls at the same time. It is adding a different element to the game for me to be making all my own weapons and armor, etc....I love it! I have every craft covered but Heavy Armor so I would be an asset to a Kinship for helping younguns get the armor and weapons they needed:)
