Sorry. Your EU characters are in a parallel universe with no gateway to US. :(

EU and NA refer to the old Codemasters operated servers and the old Turbine operated servers. When Turbine took over those Codemasters servers, they were physically reopened alongside the NA ones in Boston. These servers retained their own database schema formats. Those formats are functionally distinct and it is too expensive to resolve the incompatibilities. Those EU format servers are going to be relocated in Amsterdam. Snowbourn was never one of the NA format servers. Snowbourn is an EU format server.
Could you reconsider extending the timeframe to freely switch worlds between servers that remain?
Imho it should be free until a week or two after the last server has been made available for transfer,
giving everyone a fair chance to gage potential new homes. Thanks for your consideration.
Is Landroval full because I do not see it as an option to move to?
it is not full, what do you see as options?
Walking about in the Stonemere and Taur Ornolf (and other similar places) having all that ore and wood for yourself is soon a thing of the past. I might transfer my Explorer last, having one server almost to myself for resource gathering, stacking up.
When will Brandywine server be availble to Transfer to?
The in game e-mail listed the following NA servers to tranfer to:
Arkenstone
Landroval
Crickhollow
Gladden
Brandywine
I only see the top four when I go into the process of transfering.
Well it may have been EU fromat server, but when my friend and I made toons on Snowbourn there were no letters following the name i.e. (EU) etc...
So like all the other servers with no letters designating it as other then an NA server, that is what I took it for.
Also all the chat and item desciptions were in the USA version of the english Language.
I only intentionally made 1 toon an other then NA server (with designating letters following the name).
And that was to check on the of Bounties to build the statue in the shire, on the Vanyar Server.
Guess I will just be deleting the toons, all the mithirl coins, etc... on those servers.
The last announcement was when they see performance after new hardware is in place, perhaps around end of Fall, so a matter of a couple months or so, not a matter of weeks more than likely.
There hasn't been anything more exact than that since it's too far out yet.
Does anyone know what time transfer from Eldar will be available?
I read on the forums it would be available 2015-10-05 but don't seem to find any time?
All I get is copy to Bullrorarer and Pantentir, no move available at all.
Turbine added the letters at the beginning of the world transfer process (in Sept 2015 I think), so you would not have seen EU after the server name when you started playing. But it was an EU server. I also think you'll find that regardless of where an English speaking server is located, the spelling is British in accordance with Mr Tolkien's spelling. So, it is not surprising that you thought you were on a North American server. It would be hard to tell the difference. Even the world chat, on both EU and NA english speaking servers, have players from all over the world. So there would be no clue there.
It is a shame Turbine didn't label all of the servers with either EU or NA/US way back when the EU servers moved to North America. I suspect that there are many players, like you, who will now have to make a decision on whether to start again on a US server, or stay on the EU server and live with a bit of latency. I don't live in either region of the world, and the additional latency I experience on all of the servers does not detract from my enjoyment; but I do admit that I don't do raids. Latency might be an important factor under those circumstances, especially if you are a healer.
I wish you well with your decision making :).
Personally I think that Turbine need to learn there are people outside the US playing this game..:(
I loose allot of gaming time since I have to move my main who is kin leader first of all. Meaning up to 6 our no gaming tonight..:(
But thanks for your input Vovo.:)
Gilrain opened about 3:45pm last Monday and our kin leader transferred in about 10 mins. Don't worry, transfers don't tend to take 6 hours any more :)
The labels exist a wile longer. They added them, when the first talked about their new datacenters and relocating the EU servers to Amsterdam. (not sure, if they already talked about server merges at that time)
Edit: they added the EU/US labels on Jan 26, 2015
I think in 2011, when Turbine took over the service from Codemasters, they didn't know about the problems with the databases or where hoping, they can fix the issues and enable transfers between all worlds.Quote:

No need to move your characters or kin today. Just wait one or two days. Or a week.
The rules are still the same: move kin leader first. Seperated from your other characters (kin members).
True, I don't have to move today, but the earlier I move the bigger the chance I get to keep my names.:) Even tho None at Eldar can have my name for sure.
Thanks for the info about transfer procedures, would be neat to move it all at the same time but still I understand and are not bothered about having to move kin leader separately..:)
They did. I believe they even attempted (but I can't find anything on that) to move characters from one DB to the other, which resulted in a total loss of characters on both sides (both ones carrying the same ID), so they didn't attempt that again.... They really should have labeled the servers properly in 2011, but only did so in 2015.
With regards to transfers to Brandywine, the following:
Transfers to Brandywine will be opened after the new hardware is in place, which is currently scheduled for "late fall". (Fall ends on December 21st).
If Brandywine is your final destination, Vyvyanne has recommended to wait it out on your current server, and not transfer to another first. The reason for this is that transfers between the remaining 5 will be limited. As Vyvyanne has stated, they don't know yet "how free they will be", and at this moment it seems very likely you get 1 free transfer per character. If you transfer to e.g. Arkenstone NOW, you would use up that 1 free transfer moving from Arkenstone to Brandywine when the time comes. The free transfers between the final 5 is done to give the remaining 5 a chance to resettle, and also to give people who have transferred to a server to have a 2nd chance to find the right community for them. Since it is very likely that transfers will be "limited free" when the time comes, if you aren't 100% sure you want to be on Brandywine, it is recommended to wait NOW, and when you transfer to Brandywine when it opens up, you still have a free chance to move off of Brandywine when you feel it is not right for you.
So, if you want to go to Brandywine, stay put. You may have to solo for a while, or play characters on other servers, but stay put until Brandywine opens up.
