Warg- Rank 4 - 7 - 13 and 14 are the winners for me.
Always loved rank 4 look. I kept it rather then taking the rank 5 look when I ranked up.

For the spider: Rank 7, 8 and 13 look the coolest to my eye-clusters.

Reaver ones are the worst. by far. Only rank 11 and 5 look good.
Rank 5 and 8 reaver appearences are EXACTLY the same. take a close look.

it's like a game of where's waldo trying to spot the differences in some of the reaver appearances.. and some of the Warleader ones are pretty similar, but overall they're pretty nice.
Although some of the appearances are nice and all, it's more a prestige thing to get that high of a rank just to look pretty, there better be more incentives in trait/skill form, otherwise it just seems like too much of a grind.

Love the R13/14/15 skins for Warg.
To me, WL looks best at R7, 12, and 14.
The armour on 15 is sweet, but the overall color scheme is too bright for my tastes. I also really don't like the glowy eyes of most of the higher rank skins. I wish we could have different shield designs too. There are some dwarven shields Freepside that would look vicious on WLs.

The only thing I don't like about the Uruk Blackarrow appearances, is that none of them show a bow and quiver equipped, they look just like grunts. You think that would be an easy thing to add.
5 and 11 are my fav's for reaver.

For my money, the best looking ones are....
Warg - 5, 4, and 15
WL - 8, 7, and 11
BA - 4, 13, and 5
Weav - 5, 8, and 14
Reav - 10, 11, 14-15
You know, this gave me an idea for an "event" the devs could run. Make one week or something where creeps could, for a very small DP "fee," equip any appearance of any of the ranks just for that week. Even as someone who plays a freep in the moors, I think it would be fun to see lots of these other creep appearances running around for a bit.
Screens were taken on Roheryn the preview server. They also have a bestower in Grams on Roheryn that can rank you up to rank 11 automatically if you want to test out some of the higher rank skills/traits.Quote:

I love the WLs r9, 14 and 15 appearance. The golden armour is awesome and it even has a white hand logo on the front!

I'm kinda disappointed in the defiler apperances. They're all the same with different masks.
Dazzer, what are you using to clean up those photos? I noticed they have better, "real" coloring and nearly no anti-aliasing at all. I'd also be interested in knowing how you do that. I had GIMP on my old computer, but I could never get it to make my screenshots look that good. On my new Vista computer I can easily edit pictures with some of the Vista utilities but it still doesn't come out looking good.Quote:

IMO, Defiler appearances beat the Reaver ones...you can't even tell the difference between lots of the reaver ones.
The images are untouched except they are shrunk to 75% or so from the original 1920x1200. I basically took the shots on a large screen with max LOTRO video settings then shrunk them a tiny bit with a generic image editing program. That's it.Quote:

I expect to reach 8 in just a week or two more. I only get to play 2-3 hrs a night (after the family has gone to bed), so I don't crank it out like others on my server. it's hilarious how awful the defiler appearances look, I now don't feel that bad as reavers aren't necessarily the worst-skinned monster class.

I do wish they'd do a bit more with them. Like someone else posted; weapons could be shifted around a bit for different appearances at various ranks. Axes vs Swords vs clubs or the like. The staves for the Defilers could easily be enhanced to better looking versions.Quote:

To be honest I'm more than a little dissapointed in how unimaginative the devs were with the creation of the defilers skin. Changing nothing but the mask from tier to tier just smacks of outright plain lazyness to me. I mean god, could they make it any more blatant that they didn't really put any thought into the skins for defiler, just wanted to slap a different mask on them per tier and call it a day? Oh wait, for r13+ they switched the order around a little, stuck on a cool dragon mask and guess thought it was original enough :/

Actually, he is right. At R0, you can buy a skin, which I like to consider is the R0 skin. Then at R1, you get the R2 skin. Then when you get to R2, no new skin. Then at R3, you get R3 skin, and so on. Or maybe There really is just no new skin at R2.Quote:

14 is probably the coolest skin for wargs.
Strange as this may sound, the rank 15 BA looks like a geek.
All the higher ranked Creep skins deserve being redone/changed. BAs look like Warleaders... and vice versa. Reavers look like Defilers and vice versa.
Only the Wargs and Weavers remain "unique" in appearance but even they deserve better skin graphics at much higher ranks.
I think defilers and reavers look the most bomb at high ranks.
With all the skins that have come out for the new mobs in Moria and Mirkwood, it would be nice to see some of the available and applied into the creep side of the Ettenmoors, I know several classes could get new skins. There are quite a few new spider looks out there too, would be a nice little makeover for creep players for the time being.
I want the Glass-Spider skin for my weaver. Like the spiders in the Waterworks. :3

I am curious as to weather or not they will ever introduce evil men into monster play. They are part of the lore.
