My launcher is stuck on "Installing pre-reqs". Anyone else?

Good to know it's not just me, thanks for replying. They must be having trouble because the storm, but because of the storm there's nothing else to do. Well okay, there are but not thing's I'd rather do.
serious bummer because i have most of the day off and was looking forward to doing some serious leveling today... getting a foot of snow so i really don't feel like running errands in that ####
I was in earlier (to check hobbit boxes) but logged out to go shovel snow. It must be the server that checks if there are any updates, for those "In" the game probably don't have any issues till they log out.Quote:

We're taking a look at this right now. I'll update you when I have an answer for you.
I would suggest not leaving your launcher open. In the past that has caused from problems with installs and some have had to reinstall. If you get stuck at installing prereqs, close the launcher and try again in a little bit.

I've logged in Laurelin 20 mins ago.
Playing with no issues (despite the awful state of PvMP) at the moment.
It is because SOAP services are down (list of Worlds, Servers status from gls.lotro.com)
Ive had no problems :/
I logged in to Landroval this morning around 6 AM CST w/ no issue. Now I'm unable to get past the pre-req message.

Having the same problem, logged in earlier unable to log in now.
The part I'm confused about is why the game servers seem so steady - in that they are rarely down - but the login server / authentication server or some combination thereof has consistently had issues over the last several months or more. I'm not complaining mind you, a server down affects everyone while the other only affects those trying to log in. Still, there's a huge difference in stability / reliability between the game servers and login / authentication servers and I wonder why that is.

Just got back in. Thanks guys. And stay safe in the snow. It rolled through my little neck of farm country here in Tennessee last night. I lit the kerosene heater, plugged the iPod in, and threw snowballs for my dog to chase. She loves the snow. Had a couple of beers and enjoyed the quiet.
Sometimes it's the simple things in life :D
