Ok, my internal calendar is not spot-on to say the least, but I think the Spring Festival is waaaay late starting this year. I think in 2013 the Spring Festival was in late March and the Anniversary Festival was sometime in May. Since the Anniversary Festival came earlier this year, are we even going to have a Spring Festival this year? Anybody with info, I would greatly appreciate.

Spring Festival 2013 --> May 21, 2013 - June 4, 2013
Anniversary 2013 --> April 16, 2013 - April 30, 2013
Lotro live launched on April 24, 2007. The anniversary is the last couple of weeks of April which pushes the Spring Festival into May at the earliest. Spring in the northern hemisphere is middle of April thru middle of June. For this year the northern astronomical spring is April 20, 2014 - June 20, 2014.
No the Spring festival was in May last year.
Didn't the spring festival follow immediately after the anniversary last year?
It may have been three years ago as I was playing at that time, but they did seem pretty close together on both occasions.

For North American Servers the Spring Festival started on March 24, 2009. Which was before the Anniversary event on April 24, 2009.
Are people THAT eager to start another festival grind so quickly? Give my poor characters a break! ;)

Considering "Spring" the season is from the Spring Equinox until the Summer Solstice, you could have a festival anytime in there. End of May is still spring.
What should really boggle your mind is that Oktoberfest is in September!

I hope it starts on the very last days of the month :) I haven't had time to continue questing forward since before the Anniversary! Too many events and stuff going on, and not enough rest between everything, but starting tomorrow I'll have time to quest! :D
During festivals I only do festival quests so that stops my adventuring until the festival is over so please wait until the very end of the month before starting the Spring Festival :o

The way they wait till the last second to give out event information around here, you'd think it was against some law.
Maybe they have some problem with allowing the players the common decency of being informed, so they can make
some kind of plans ahead of time...

I can confirm that all 4 shrews are not bound. I can't confirm that any are exclusive to any 1 means of acquisition (especially with at least 1 of them coming from flower nodes). The different 'Spring Prize Boxes' may have different shrews as their rare reward, be weighted in bias of one of the 4 rare shrews (with it still being possible to get the other 3!) or any other number of possibilities.Quote:

from what others have said, and that I've had two spotted drop from flower nodes, and others have mentioned Dusty from maze, this could make sense:
spotted - flower nodes - Fistful of Flowers - quest from near Boar Fountain Bree **
dusty - red reward box - Terrible Tweens - hedgemaze quest **
plain - blue reward box - Elite Gardener - shrew stomping (just my theory)
large - green reward box - Infuriated Gardener - shrew stomping (just my theory)
** - these drops have been confirmed a number of times
