I think I am a Hobbit at heart, but Lothlórien is just too beautiful to pass up. I wish I had a flet of my own.
I'd most likely be in Belfalas as I'm an ocean nut, but the high country of Rohan would be a close second.
So many choices... Probably Lothlórien!
Havens of Belfalas are great, but somewhat monotonous - I would love to have a ship and travel along the coast, visiting all kinds of places like Umbar, Gondor, up the Baranduin into Bree-land and Evendim, and then back again, maybe even up the Anduin until at least the Entwash.
Greetings, Polymachos
I think it's a Lake-Town with its crystal clear water and raging waterfall, as well as a sky like cotton candy... but also it's all Middle-Earth, because the eternal wanderer likes the road, the light of the stars and the moon, falling through the shadows of the forest trees and illuminating the path leading towards adventure!
The Road goes ever on and on...
I am a hobbit always, but If were to live/visit, It be in Lothlorien!
I would love to live in a lavish hole in the ground in the Shire.
The Bird and Baby Inn
I would like a hobbit pvp neighbourhood in the coldfells where monster players could raid on occasion and see the full capabilities of my tater patch !
I'd probably settle in Bree-town or any of the surrounding villages, myself :D
If you could visit or live anywhere in LOTRO in Real Life, Where would that be?
I'd live in Bree. It's a convenient hub from which to visit so many other places in Middle-Earth.
A place to live? Definitely The Shire.
Lots of awesome places to visit, but The Shire always feels like home.
Caras Galadhon for sure...
Sergio :-)
Bree town of course.
But why do houses in Bree-land homesteads have such low roofs?
If I could visit or live anywhere in LotRO in Real Life, where would that be?
Dol Amroth is amazing, but I'll stick with my original answer: as soon as I discovered the cemenduril gardens near Calembel in Lamedon, West Gondor (there's an epic quest involving the collection of its flowers), I knew I could happily retire there. It's pretty, and the flowers are featured in the brewing of "healing liquors".
I'd love to live in any of the elf settlements (especially Duillond or Rivendell) because they're so peaceful, or Dol Amroth because I'd love to wade in the beautiful fountains :)
It is my dream in real life to have a small house with a lot of land next to a river. Somewhere near Brandywine would be perfect.
If I have to choose just one, it would be Imloth Melui <3
ROHAN! I would love to live in Eaworth or Everholt, somewhere near the Entwash.
I'd love to visit the more spectacular sites like Lothlorien or Moria but maybe not live there. I have this thing about not falling to my death -- I can see why the graceful Elves wouldn't bother installing safety rails, but dwarves? Come on.
I would probably live in Buckland, preferably in Brandy Hall.
The Shire, always has pies, second breakfasts and festivals going on.
Since I love snow, winter, that sort of thing I'd say Forochel. There's snow everywhere and also the northen lights, they're just so beautiful! Rohan would be the second in my list. Their traditions look so cool imo, makes me want to be one of them.
I will live in Celodim, Ered Luin, because it was the first place I stepped in the wonderful world of LOTRO many years ago.
So hard! Ummm..... I think I'd live in Buckland...specifically Brandy Hall *SO MANY BOOKS*. It's close enough to the big city of Bree, but still somewhat rural and on the river, so less of a criminal element, plus hop over the bridge and you're back in the Shire.
I'd love to visit Caras Galadhon, but until they install some escalators, that'd be a "no" for living there. There are other areas I'd like to visit, like Minas Tirith and Dale, but couldn't live there with the crime level just outside the city walls like that. I mean, even after Sauron's defeat, so much gang activity... ;)
8 Harrow Road is perfect (Shire) - by the waterfall. So very pretty, I love the Shire... and that waterfall sounds lovely, especially when it rains, too...
umm a cottage on the edge of fanghorn would be cool....
In a cottage somewhere hidden in the Old Forest.
A certain glade, just West of Dunbog.
Great question. So many awesome places in Lotro! I look forward to visiting Lake-Town, & Belfalas was beautiful... But my first thought was Lake Evendim, near Tinnudir. I love it there. :o
In Gondor, Minas Tirith, I would be the soldier, propably archer
"If you could visit or live anywhere in LOTRO in Real Life, Where would that be?"
Cirith Ungol.
I would live in Rohan, probably in Eastemnet.
I would live in the castle of Tírith Rhaw until one day when my time comes they can bury me in a crypt in the flag room
If you could visit or live anywhere in LOTRO in Real Life, Where would that be?
My lady-love and I plan on moving into Lothlorien in a couple years after Galadriel moves all the elves out, and setting up a zip-line amusement park.
Definitely I would pass my days in the Tom Bombadil's house, there be too many thing to learn!
Without a doubt, I would love to visit AND live at Beorn's Lodge.
I find that location to be the most beautifully built landscape I've come across in Middle Earth. It is the single most location that makes me feel like I am truly within Middle Earth. I spend quite a lot of time on my Beorning just wandering around the outskirts of the lodge and discovering all of the little details put into the location. Even though I'm the only one ever at Beorn's Lodge, I can't help but visit and find myself completely immersed in the location and all of the lore.
I would also love more than anything to be able to visit the Carrock! It's such a tease for my Beorning to see it just right out of reach!
In Sauron's Eye.

Where I lay my hat is home...so...everywhere! I'd travel the whole world, visiting everywhere! I'd start in the Shire, stay in Inns, stop by taverns, camp in the woods, and just walk from one end to the other. Why pick just one spot, when there are so many wonderful places to go? I'd spend a week or two or three in every...single...area, except Mordor and Angmar (I'd still like to at least see them, to say that I have, but just for a day or two). Then, later on in life, when I'm too old to travel, if I couldn't go to the havens, I'd probably settle down somewhere in the Shire. I love this world! :)
When I first entered Moria, I was awestruck by the beauty and grandeur! That is where I would love to visit in real-life! I am a homebody so visiting would be my only option. Thank you!
Rohan for me
Mordor of course, as the saying goes: one does not simply walk into mordor.
So it seems there's quite a lot of fun places to behold if you can't get in so easily.
Barrow Downs. Clear out a nice crypt for myself. Won't have to worry about neighbors playing music late at night or mowing the lawn at 6am. Home sweet home.
As a hobbit at heart I will always lay my hat down in the Shire (although Maur Tulhau is really cozy, too).
But for visiting, the small settlements of Western Rohan have really captured my heart. Gapholt, Middlemead, Underharrow, Beaconwatch - and Aldburg, although that's not really small. Each has its own distinct appearance and mood and you can't really mistake one for another.
I would leave my heart in the shire, a friend in Tom, a life in the Lonelands, a love in Rivendell and a smile in Bree... Would go out singing "The road goes ever on and on..." and go back for a piece of cake and some Galenas pipeweed...
Would visit everywhere, take a look at Gondor, Rohan and even perhaps a pip at Mordor...
But I would stay in the Shire I think, is where I belong. Because, after all, there would be no story if there wasn't a fire, a book and food and people to tell it.
I really wish I could live in Middle Earth, but for all, people never let the Lotro fire snuff, let me have a chance to visit it now and in my old days... It has been a long time, and I do not want to stop living in this middle earth, ever... =)
I wish to live at Lothlorien surounded by gigantic trees & sing to the stars till the last breath leave me. :)
I definitely would live somewhere in the Shire. Frodo and Bilbo proved you can visit anywhere in Middle Earth and still come home. I would love to have a hobbit hole near Little Delving I think. Close to Celondim to visit elf friends, a nice river to fish and a short hop to Michael Delving or Hobbiton/Bywater. And, you never know, I might even be able to visit the Grey Havens sometime.
Truly a great newsletter as always =D
I would rent a flat at Tom Bombadil's :)
If you could visit or live anywhere in LOTRO in Real Life, Where would that be?
The Last Lonely House in Rivendell with the Meduseld in Edoras a close second.
I'd live in the shire and like to visit rivendell, basically bilbo's journey minus all the bad parts
Probably Rohan somewhere, a little home with a few fine horses. It would have to be close to a pub or inn, for merrymaking with the Rohirrim!
Beautiful Evendim, of course, with it's romantic ruins, magical wilds, tragic stories and admirable Wardens. The Even-rills have a special place in my heart. :o
I like the mountain, rivers and forests. So somewhere around Beaconwatch or Aldburg.
Perhaps a lovely summer house in Lothlorien but when the leaves start to fall, there's nothing like a cozy hobbit hole, with food and ale, pipeweed and good company. North Ithilien is also a favorite spot, maybe for camping trips.
The whole world! I'd love to wander around and see everything, with my trusty Onyx Lynx at my side. :)
My own home.. shire homesteads. Beautiful safe calm place!
I'm into architecture, so to visit... I would take a Tour of Halls! Like the Scholar's Hall in Bree, Hall of Fire in Riv., Mead Hall of Faldham, Golden Hall of Meduseld, Hall of the King, Allegiance halls, etc. And then, I would have a sweet furnished home somewhere in East ROHAN.
P.s. I was talking to someone who said he had a Fear of Heights. I told him, "You should play Lotro!" ;)
There is NO fear of heights in Lotro! Lol. But I am probably a Ranger at heart, so I would settle near Esteldin. And for fun, I would spend the night at a camp in Angmar, smoke pipeweed & watch the Cracking Sky... or camp-out on Weathertop, where I would play my Lute, drink ale & have a Craban Barbecue!
Pub Crawl in The Shire!
To live - Rivendell or Lothlorien. Visit Lindon, Eregion, Rohan, Argonath, Minas Tirith ... whole Gondor, Erebor ...hmmm... what is behind Grey Mountains? Let's check Rhun. Oh... where is my horse?
