I would become Sauron in order to make it easier for the hobbits to drop the ring in Mount Doom...
A hobbit as far away from adventure as I could be.
Boromir!
Elrond!
Sergio :-)
Roses are red,
Eagles fly high,
Saruman sounds nice,
But he likes to lie.
Mandos, becuase im Mandos, and i can change my FATE and live for ever in Middle-earth. i'm Lord of Fate!!
Chicken
They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard?
My elven maiden Rune Keeper. She already looks a lot like me (exept the pointy ears) so i will feel fitting neatly. I will ride around Middle Earth & give all the countries with my RK weather control powers: clean skies, a beautiful sunshine & a rainbow. Even Mordor will have a beautiful sky for at least 1 day.
Squirell
He may not be a creature, in the strict sense--but I'm still gonna go with ol' Iarwain Ben-adar, yellow boots and all.
An elf.
One of the Giant Eagles - soar all over Middle Earth and enjoy the view from above
Tom Bombadil. I'd hang out in the Old Forest, hang out with random visitors, and share some leaf and drink.
Either of the Ithryn Luin (Blue Wizards)... so we can all finally find out what exactly happened to them / transpired with them in the East.
Gwaihir or any of the Great Eagles... And roam all around ME from the heights.
Treebeard, so a day would be very long…
I think it would be intriguing to be an elf for a day.
I would love to be a hobbit and live in the shire. Despite being way too tall, I am a hobbit at heart.
Gandalf!
Tom would've been a good one, too, but I think I'd have to step into Radagast's shoes for a day.
Just tucked away in some obscure corner of the world...
The link to the Lotro Store sales of the week is broken on the patcher
I would be Bingo Boffin, and start a marvelous adventure!
I would be a cat, for obvious reasons.
propablly a dwarf..........
not any kind of dwarf..........
n ofc not a filthy poor miner dwarf deep in some cave searching for mithril n gems
for sure a well pu,t wealthy dwarf lord, with a nice long beard, wearing the best garments elf taylors ever made but in dwarvish style,
drinking ale n feasting in Thorin's Halls or Erebor..........
Tom Bombadil would be perfect, no one messes with him or his little pot of paradise. Did I say pot, I meant PLOT.
An eagle. They can fly and they have no truck with anyone if they don't feel like it.
Tom Bombadil ofc!
However, first I'd slap myself hard, stop talking gibberish and hopping arounding like a moron. (What will the neighbours say?)
THEN I'd loose my bright blue jacket and pants as well as my silly yellow boots as fast as you can say 'Hey dol! merry dol!' and go after Goldberry down by the Withywindle and ring her dong dillo and her dong and then I'd fal lal the willow with her all day long...!
Shadowfax! Galloping over the plains of Rohan
I would be an ent and travel through Fangorn.
If you could transform into any Middle-earth creature for a day, what would it be?
I would definitely be a Sara Oakheart. By the end of the day, I would'nt have gotten within smelling distance from wherever I started, but I would pester every player I encounter to walk escort me in a direction opposite of where they were headed.
to be any creature for a day . . . I'd be the pesky squirrel, who, enchanted by Radagast, bids 6 in Avardin.
A nosey hobbit! ;)
Eagle
"If you could transform into any Middle-earth creature for a day, what would it be?"
A Dragon.
I would love to be Tom Bombadil to experience his childlike Joy with the world; and to get a peek into his thought processes (although that may take way more than just a day!)
An ent, so that I can protect the forests and, should the occasion arise, smash things.
Gollum.
Now it gives us the points, yes it does precious, the points...
I wold love to be King Theoden Renewed!
I would like to be one of the Istari! Oh to be a Maiar in Middle Earth!
Mûmakil
I've always wanted a trunk
I would want to be one of the Mearas, spending the day galloping across the plains of Rohan. :o
A Warg Rider. But as a human, not a nasty Orcses.
One of the Eagles of Manwë. So I could fly all over Arda.
I would be a hobbit, then I would go around trying to cheer up all of the depressed elves, dwarves, and men, who seem to be in perpetual gloomy state.
Me? I'd be soldier I'd be a soldier of the tree, serve with honor and dignity, willing to give my life for my land
If I could transform into any creature for a day, I'd become dragon.
Many creatures've come to my mind, mosty the good ones, but I think I'd most like to experience one day in life of a female Orc.
I know we can't really see them in Middle-Earth, but Tolkien admitted in one of his unpublished letters they did exist.
As for why, there are so many questions I's like to find the answers to:
1. If the Orcs were indeed Elves captured and distorted by Melkor, would I still feel anything relating me to the light?
2. How does it feel to live serving an evil being, doing everything out of fear? Is there any resistance inside?
3. Being a female - is there any actual relationship between the males and the females? Or is it hate only on all levels?
4. Did they fight among the males? Maybe they were as difficult to distinguish as the dwarf females. And if not, what did they actually do?
5. And how EXACTLY did half-orcs come to be...
I guess the insight in these and many other connected matters would make the experience of Middle-Earth much deeper for me. Although it's possible I'd hesitate the next time using my bow against the Orc-kind.
a chicken
Cat on a cushion.
Middle Earth is Hobbit Forming!
Enough said.
A talking fox!
I'd like to be an Ent for a day. I always loved forests and I would very much like to experience it on the much deeper levels. Feel it with every cell, be a part of it.
An eagle!
Ent.
Nice quiet bunch until someone pushes them past their limit. Then they take asses and kick names.
Barliman Butterbur. Selling beer and ale and listen many interesting stories.
If you could transform into any Middle-earth creature for a day, what would it be?
Me: Knock knock.
Person 1: Who's there?
Me: Raven of Erebor. *High fives the Tolkien fans*
Who wouldn't love to fly over Esgaroth and Erebor delivering messages from the dwarves? As an added bonus, you get an above-average lifespan!
I would like to be an Eagle and just fly free everywhere...
Gandalf . . . smoking pipe and performing magic until the cows come home.
if i could transform into any creature for a day..... A shrew so i could play in shrew burrows....
A generic deer immune to being killed in Misty Mountains.
A dragon
An eagle to fly and look at all the nice places of Middle Earth <3
Gollum: A day seen through his eyes would be very interesting.
A huorn. Always wondered what it feels like to be a plant.
An elf of Lórien.
A warsteed so I could run fast all over the place!
I'd be Treebeard's wife. Nothing stokes the fires more than seeing your man sport a rockin' ancient beard...
A raft-elf in the new Mirkwood, singing and dancing in the moonlight of Loeglond, with the peaceful sounds of the river in my ears.
A warg, to see how much good I could do from the inside. Woof woof woof
Bilbo Baggins at his young age , so Gandalf would visit, poke me with his staff and take me on an adventure!
The question states "creature" so I'd assume that doesn't mean a sentient race?
Hmm... anything that flies would be quite fun I think, so Giant Eagle or the like! :)
Tom Bombadil hands down!
Sarah Oakheart... I always wanted to see for myself what it feels like for the world and everyone around me to move in lightning-fast speed.
.
.
.
(PS just wondered, and can't find a definite answer anywhere: this is a randomly picked contest right? Or is the winning comment handpicked by a person?..)
A dragon. Probably Draigoch.
Opposed to what my username says, I think I'd be... a balrog?
Giant Eagle
Spider
The bog guardian. For once I'd be taller than everyone around me!
I'd like to be one of the Noldor, I think it would be fascinating to remember all that history, have seen the Silmarils and the Two Trees, and remember awakening at Cuivienen under the stars.
An eagle!
I'd love to experience the adventures they encounter beyond what's been mentioned in the lore so far.
If H ad to choose a character, Strider. No question.
An 'animal' ? I would be a Mumakil or a Fellbeast. Both of which no one really wants to mess with.
I'd transform into a dragon, because then I'd get to be a mother******* dragon!
My answer will not be original, but an elf, of course! And it can be longer than 1 day. :)
...
Giant Eagle for the day
Would go for the Oliphaunt that was let loose, free to roam the land.
I would probably become a Loremaster. Lots of pets!
I would transform into an Eagle. I would venture in the sky, flying, which no man can do (naturally). I would fly high above the mists and view what man has made. All the ruins of wars and ages long past. I would gaze upon the marvels which could never be toped. I would view what beauty still remains in middle earth. Then that day would pass, I would become myself again. Maybe someday I will become an Eagle, hopefully. Right now I have finished what remains of 'Life.' In the near future I hope that I will lead a Project, worthy of an Eagle. Maybe even become one, an immensely great honor.
(If you don't get the last parts, its ok. Its about BSA)
Gandolf :D
Smaug
In his prime .. Looting and hoarding.
Plus -- flying anywhere and terrorizing hobbitses.
:)
squirrel?
I think I would like to be Tom Bomadil, It might be nice to do the merry do!
Something that flies. Soaring above the LOTRO landscape... just taking in the view. With a "stealth" feature, so the orcs wouldn't shoot me down. Ooo... and laser eyes! YES! So I could just BURN my enemies DOWN!... ahem...
Something that flies.
:)... Blunte
I've always liked the Hobbits and the Dwarves. Tough choice between those two!
Maybe a hobbit who goes travelling with dwarves on occasion, kind of like Bilbo.
Dwarf beards seem like a lot of work... though hobbit feet seem to require some attention as well?
