I concur. However, after you /cheer and when some fireworks are supposed to happen, it gets stuck and nothing happens. I had to abandon and restart. Now fingers crossed that it works this time.
The bug happened when Gandalf tells people to hail the king and queen. Everybody cheers. There is a /cheer icon in the quest tracker. I was like 10s late to press this and I did so with no target selected. The objective was updated to say something along the lines of "Mithrandir's fireworks signal the end of the wedding and the start of the celebrations..." After this, nothing happens, it's stuck. I left the instance and reentered, it was in the same stuck position.
The second time around it worked. I made sure that Aragorn was selected when I clicked the /cheer icon and I did so as soon as the crowd started cheering. The quest was updated, there was fireworks and I could talk to one of them to finish the instance.
Purely focusing on the Great Wedding and Midsummer event: this update is flawless. Fantastic job, not just MoL, but all the designer artists. It's the first time I can't find one item I don't want to have.
Kudos!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I actually can't even describe how amazing this new fest is.
THE BARTER STUFF!!! So many new steeds, cosmetics, housing items, pets, emotes....guys I'm overwhelmed. They're all stunning and CHEAP! Thank you for not making each thing 40+ tokens! <3 This will be the first fest where I literally must buy everything, because its just all so nice.
The new MT is beautiful, it took me 15 min just to GET to Aragorn the first time because I kept stopping to ogle lanterns and flower arrangements. And the little thing the guards are guarding beside the fountain...*sniffle.*
Damn it SSG you hit me right in the feels with this one. A hearty well-done.

P.S. I had to come back and edit because - the music! I love the blend of so many themes from around middle earth. Gives it a totally new feel I've not encountered elsewhere. As well the stories (lol @ wedding planner, haha) always top notch. And the falling petals everywhere, is that I plug-in I can load into my real life? :P
Festival is great, quests are cool, environnement and design is fantastic but it lags so hard, 20 sec delay for any usable item, NPC don't respond, only 1 single layer so everyone is on the same place and it's unplayable.
I like the festival, it is fun, however going through minas tirith on different tiers gets tiring after a bit otherwise great job on the devs who made all this :)
As can be seen by Made of Lions in this thread, we are investigating an issue where the new Epic book isn't completing at a specific point. We are actively working on a fix.
It be nice if they made the re spawn of things you need to click like 1 second. Its pretty asinine they do this over and over with things.
Also if you running on wall on top circle, you can see strange stone arch flying in air in nort-west of MT. Many quests have problems when huge amount of people chasing quest items, like in House of Lore on minstrels in tavern.
All I care about is that the Grey Company made it out okay! We can finally tell for sure that apart from than poor Calenglad everyone else survived the Battle of Morannon.
Curiously, it also seems that chronologically the wedding is set before the Minas Morgul expansion, and possibly even Mordor, as the Rangers who mention their plans to either return North or stay and fight in the South have already been encountered in those place during the Black Book.
Dargun the new Master of Lake-Town is present at the wedding, and of course we met Elrond and Arwen's procession on their way south, so at least the early parts of the Black Book must have already happened. Still, there appears to be no way to reconcile Techeron and Lothrandir already being back north in Black Book Chapter 2 class stories.
Oh, well. I'm just glad to see my boys (and Idhrien) alive and well. It's been almost TEN YEARS now since Enedwaith and in that time I have bonded with the Grey Company like no other character in the game.
It happened to me right before Gandalf sets off the fireworks. The second time, I was quick to cheer after Gandalf did the actual ceremony, and it worked fine. The first time, I was looking around too much, and cheered late. The quest advanced to saying "fireworks", but nothing happened.
Anyway, the whole wedding is awesome! So many creative quests, GREAT music, great scenery, LOVE how MT cleaned up :) Great job, guys!! Very impressed. I was hoping it would live up to the iconic moment, and it did!
Also, even with ALL the people in MT, I had VERY minor lag. Just a split second delay after clicking some things, but most were fine. No rubberbanding. Nice job!
Just wanted to leave my whole hearted thank you to the dev team here for such a beautiful update and festival. I am in awe of the whole thing, the atmosphere, the quest line, the exitement but most of all the dresses. OMG THE DRESSES!!!
Just wanted to say that. Out loud.
Thank you so much all. Very well done.
And there's people saying this game is dead...! It is VERY MUCH alive! Thanks for the update!
When I started this festival I really liked it. But since we dont have layers all that joy turned into bad mood. Its not just that we have plenty of lags it is also that you have designed quests that when someone picked up quest item it disappear for everyone else and that is really a problem when you have plenty of people on one place. All that experience combined, sadly, ruining something that could be great experience as Yule festival, even greater just if we could finish our quests.
Can't complete it either. I cheered before the fireworks, but they were never set off and everything just stopped.
I just completed the book quests with no issues at all. I also wanted to thank the devs for an amazing event. The wedding itself was so well done. Minas Tirith looks incredible; the scope of everything is perfect for such a significant lore event. I really enjoyed the musical variations on familiar themes from the game. What a huge amount of content, I am still not done with it. The new mount is an excellent reward! And all of the barter items. Thank you SSG for a truly enjoyable chunk of content.
I'm really enjoying the festival; I like how it's presented. The wedding was nice, and I was so glad to hear Gandalf talk about a certain someone, who you never see how great he really was in the books... you'll know who I'm referring to when you see it. The banquet was grand!
On a small note, in Bree, when you ask where the quests are, one of them is by the Boar Fountain, but it's actually Rona Turner near the West Gate Forge. I spent about 20 minutes looking for her, and finally broke down and asked in world chat.
I see there is a limit of 100 midsummer tokens, so now I just need to find out where to spend them before I get to 100.
Very well done! <CHEERS>
Another vote of thanks here.
The city looked fantastic, the wedding storyline (and preparation questing) was very well-done.
Both wedding and city are gorgeous! I'm totally in love with this zone.
And also I have a wedding bug)
Here's an error in the final quest text of Book 1, Chapter 8:

Probably should be "The time of my departure from these shores draws nigh..."
I mention it only as a curiosity. The authors of quests in this game do a better job of proofreading than I've seen in any other game I've ever played. Mistakes are extremely rare!
I also loved the wedding. It was well done, and very charming in many spots. It really drilled in how worth it it was for everything we have accomplished up until this point. I was also very pleased that it was fully voice acted, and that there were Elvish lines of dialog. It did not disappoint.
I only wish that there would have been some more elf cosmetic rewards for the festival. At least for us male elves since I don't want to wear a dress. :p The white robes and cloak that the elves of Lorien were wearing at the wedding looked really nice and would have been a great addition to the cosmetic vendor. The steeds also are very well designed, and I love the banners on them, but again it's a shame that all of them were of Gondor and that there were none with elven heraldry. Also I'm not sure if it's just a bug but the groom's cosmetics seem to take dye but they don't change at all.
Otherwise I don't have any complaints.
Wedding quests were just amazing! They were funny, interesting, with lots of nice references to important past events. I thought Aragorn's voice actor did a particularly fine job. The emotion in his voice when he first sees Arwen and then later during the vows was touching. I was happy to see all the rangers again and moved by their toast. The only thing I didn't understand is why all of them weren't present as guests at the banquet.
Minas Tirith all decked out is a sight to behold! I don't think I'll ever want to go back to the other versions now, heh. I loved all the attention to detail. I studied one of the banquet tables which had little plates with the white tree on them set out for guests to take, and for dessert there were both lembas and honeycakes! Very fitting.
Now I just hope I am invited to Faramir and Eowyn's wedding next...
I loved how detailed everything was! I spent a good portion of last night just looking around!
Very well done. My only gripe is Gandalf going all Spaceballs minister at the Denethor grumblers. Seemed a little weird for a wedding.
Yes, thank you for this update. Love the new city, quests and rewards from the storyline and tokens barterer. :)
Yes, it is all so beautiful! The music is just happy and upbeat, and how the city is decorated everywhere with flowers, and banners and garlands! So, the guys at SSG have been really hard at work during these difficult times and not sitting idly at home during home office and twiddling their thumbs :) But instead brought this massive city to a new life. Really awesome job.
And all the people sitting at tables outside and eating, the small parties with music and dancing in the streets everywhere. And the inns full of people having a good time. When I ran through Minas Tirith I felt like I was in Disneyland :D
I was just wondering about the Epic. I am only Lvl 71 and faaar away in Grimbold's Camp, Theodred had just fallen. The wedding is like months away, maybe years. It somehow didn't feel right to prepare for Aragorn's and Arwen's wedding, so I skipped it after 2 quests. Why could I even pick it up? And if I complete it now, could I again pick it up at the "right" time?
I don't post often, but I just had to say thanks and well done. Enjoying every minute :)
