So really 40 days straight of doing 1 mission per day for that deed? Am I missing something?
So its not even finishable this year ... (if you dont reset with MC ofc).
Also the handling is as inconvenient as it can get: frostbluff to get quest > AK to do mission > back to frostbluff to handin .... zzzzz

Yeah agreed on all counts, this is a crazy new thing to add.
The Yule fest runs for 26 days, so that's 14 days short for the deed of 40 hand ins. Each MC reset (for anyone gullible enough to use them) costs 5MC, so that's 70 MC to finish a deed within the timescale of the festival.
IMO, everyone should live without the Wild Grey Donkey.
Where is "AK"? And is there any hint that points there? The reason I came to the forums is that there doesn't seem to be any information in game about where the "mission" is....

Cambyrun nailed it. Why fuss over a deed or quest that you do not like? Just do things that you do like and get on with your lives. It isn't as if this deed needs to be done to unlock something important.

Seems like an odd design choice to me, but it appears that is how they decided to do it.

Exactly. I don't like having to wait more than a year to finish a deed when I started on time, but I'm doubly frustrated that people can pay to complete it ahead of the rest of us. It was one thing to do to Hytbold when it was OLD content and people could have already finished it starting on time, but this is just wrong.Quote:

Perhaps a way to make this less ...bothersome ..... to some people but still keep the basic premise is to split the deed up. Do 20 missions and you get something. Something not as desirable as the full deed. But that way the deed isn't totally useless for a year.

People can mithril-shortcut their way around daily deed limits. They can get more than one hobbit gift a day.
There being a shortcut to the reward here does not mean everyone has to use it. It just means if you see someone with the reward now, *that* person definitely used it. Unless that reward is something game-breaking, I think the only thing stopping the rest of us from waiting until we can get the reward the "intended" way is willpower.

As for Yule being centered around good will, some of the questline would disagree with that (although yes, it is presented as good and bad choices), and we already have the deeds for event mounts that can't be completed without spending mithril unless you happened to get all mounts on all characters over the years.
So yes, some of it might be problematic in general, but this is in line with how things work now.
I still think a good solution here would be to have the deed done in stages. Give some points for stage 1 and 2, then the final reward at the end of 3. So some can be done each year with a reward and some progress.
You just trying to find black cat in dark room. No one force you to monetize this one. I don't see anyone from SSG force you complete that deed in current festival.

Yes, but you have to *buy* the items. And to be able to *afford* the items, you typically have to spend 3-5 tokens on one, during a festival. So, what, 900 festival tokens to get enough for just one deed. And Holloween festival has 6 or 7 of those deeds all by itself, so that's, say, 5,400 token's worth of stuff to buy in one festival. I challenge you to do that in the space of one festival without using MC to reset all the festival quests.Quote:

Nope, your math is off. In the yule festival, the cost of the consumables is 5 yule tokens, per 5 consumable items, so, 1 token per item and 300 needed for the deed. In Havestmath, the cost is different, 3 tokens for 5 consumable items, so 180 tokens.Quote:

I am not a fan of needing to wait several years to finish a deed or quest, neither willing to spent Mithril coins or LP on finishing a quest. There are many things im willing to pay it (like more house decoration slots or the race change token) but this is not one. :pQuote:
