There's been a lot of fuss made over the class changes on Beta and I just want to give a big thank you to Vastin for jumping into the threads and giving us an insight into why he was making changes and what we could expect to see in the future. I may not have agreed with absolutely every change you put forth but I can agree that you handled it all beautifully. Someone at SSG make sure this guy gets a raise.

Thank you Vastin, not just for implementation but for active engagement on beta forums and your updates/explanations/adjustments in response to concerns - it made all the difference. For the first time since 2013 I can say these class fixes really do feel like fixes. Not "changes" but actual fixes. The new LM rotation feels natural as if it's belonged all along. Subtly upping skill efficiency without dumbing anything down or sacrificing class aesthetic, you have a magic touch.
The process of class fixes has only begun, but it is reassuring that long-neglected LM and Guard are in good hands (and Huntar/d too). Do keep it up!

Agreed here, thx to Vastin for this, especially for the Hunter. Also the Feedback on all classes was great. Players can't wish anything more than this. The Players were heard, and the dev has an understanding of the classes.
There was a high chance that hunters fall back to Pre U19 garbage, but you made Hunter still good enough. There is only one good thing hunters can, and that is DPS. Changes reflects this....
R.I.P. Barrage Hunter. It was nice, but theres light on the horizon. :D
Yup. Thanks alot for all those changes that sound like they make gameplay much more interesting.
I'd still prefer 3s CD on barrage with the old damage values and mechanics (tiering higher than B3 would be stopped with 3s CD and not-tiering would be fixed, too) over 2,2,15,2,2,15,2,2,15,2,2,15 with the new increased values.
Other than that, I think I agree on all changes. For a first round ;)

Developers getting visibly involved in discussions sends a great message.
Developers explaining the purpose of changes (or why things weren't changed) rather than just the standard "we have greatly improved the game" sends a great message.
These are a big encouragement totally apart from whether the class changes in fact are well thought out and improvements or not.
SSG isn't perfect by any means but it is far better than some other developers in communicating (then again my *cat* is better than Daybreak/SoE ever was and she has been *dead* for 20 years).
By the way I too like the changes on balance though I can't say I agree with every one. I am most familiar with the hunter changes since I have had several blue hunters to 115 and the "nerfs" are well done and long overdue. They *are* nerfs but barrage has long been too powerful.

From what I understand, a bunch of maxed out elite players decided that blue line hunters were "too easy". Even though the idea was that they were basically the easy mode for new players and casual players who want to explore and savour the story without getting killed every few minutes. But no, we're not allowed to enjoy the game the way we want to. Even though there are plenty of challenging classes for those who want a challenging game, those of us who like to play with the puzzles and enjoy the story and the atmosphere for their own sakes are now being told we have to suck it up.
Why can't we have just one class with one line of traiting that allows us to survive while playing casually and not having to worry about maxing out our skills or playing the game like a weasel on speed? Bad, bad decision, and a terrible update. The worst part is that the liner notes boast that blue line is now better and more survivable for solo players. What a joke!!

Oh yes, I know the joke. I have no issues with jokes, as long as it doesn't affect anything else than just being a joke. However in combination with the current update and nerf, it isn't that funny anymore. It's like when some joke about a person. It can even be meant in a luving way. However when that joke suddenly starts getting too attached to someone, possibly even affecting how other percieve them, affect their chance of getting a job or how serious other people take anything they say as a result, then that joke is more than a joke. I'd say that is where we now are with hunters. The hate for one single class, hunters, has been adressed over and over by some in these forums. So now as a result we have this update/nerf. It did go as far as devs being affected and changing the class from some posting that tirelessly. Funny ??? well maybe it used to be. Not anymore for those investing alot of time, possibly money and effort into building that class and playing the way they enjoyed. To now be where they have to play really boringly, static red line etc, not enjoying their gameplay anymore. The motive some have had for a long time is quite obvious when viewing the result in this update. They finally got their way. Just look around. Read in-game chat and alot of posts in this forum. If so, I also want to say a big thank you as hunter and guardian are my 2 mains and I am very pleased with how the class changes have turned out, especially with regards to red guardian :D I am very bad at playing DPS guard, in general (I prefer tanking) but dailies and such are now a lot less painful! Keep up the good work please :)
