This is just untrue. No warg is able to spam stuns like a burg can mezz with provoke. The skills involved (crippling bite + pounce) are slow and lag prone and only have a 30% chance to proc a stun....

I haven't played freep in a long time but I recall my burg hit for the exact same amount of damage, not a range, on npcs and training dummies and creeps before mitigations.
