Thanks for the comprehensive patch :) Any way to get that to Lynx3D's GitHub here: https://github.com/Lynx3d/pylotro ?
It appears that the GLS auth server gls-auth.lotro.com doesn't exist anymore, making at least the Linux auth fail. It exists in HTTP://gls-auth.lotro.com but not in HTTPS://gls-auth.lotro.com...
Same. Can't get in, worked a few hours ago.
If it can't connect there's a good chance that your WINE install isn't compiled with the latest TLS support, then the connection does indeed fail. I use Ubuntu myself and had that problem when I...
The pk11 error message should not prevent it from running. Which WINE version are you using?
Lifer and founder, though not playing all that regularly anymore, often taking weeks without logging in. I still like the world and the attention to detail in the world, but just can't bring myself...
I've despised the trait trees from the day they announced them. At release I figured "Ok, let's give it a try regardless". For me as Loremaster it flat out sucked. Sure they gave us new shiny...
There's a number of problems with that analogy:
#1: MMOs need staff and have expenses to keep the game running. Console games (usually) are develop-and-forget, especially since they don't need...
#1 If he does not have admin rights and his brother does not give him admin rights, he can't compile python that way
#2 Python is usually installed anyway, including python 3.3.x
#3 If he...
Unfortunately the LotRO installer uses Pando. Pando doesn't work in Wine anymore. You'll need a working install to get LotRO going.
Yuck. Oh well, I guess it's "wait and see". Considering how Turbine completely f'd up classes on mounted combat and how ludicrously bad they used skill tress in the past with AC2 I fear this can only...
Oh boy. I hope that does NOT mean the old skills will go away.
Skill trees sucked in any game I've ever played that had them. Skill trees on the warsteed pretty much destroyed any class...
No it uses their own HTML engine based on the Chromium/Chrome engine. For some people the fix is to click on the store icon on the char select screen, wait until the store loads, then log with any...
First off, I do like mounted combat so far. What I don't like is the lack of information on it, and in some cases the utter misinformation being spread even by Turbine. Just yesterdays' newsletter...
Sorry for the confusion :)
Compiling a proper (patched) Wine build fixes the crash-on-startup and the store access problem.
The 64bit client floating around on the appdb is compiled for a...
I believe I figured out the white screen problem. So far I've mostly used the precompiled 64bit Wine binary from winehq. That binary is fishy for a number of reasons, but most importantly it's not...
It also seems to be impossible to access the store now... I've not futzed around with it much. This is the error:
[8:63:23286:ERROR:proxy_resolver_winhttp.cc(95)] WinHttpGetProxyForUrl failed: 0...
Nothing else to say... just like it. If I had access to iTunes I'd buy it.
I'd keep in mind that warsteeds are fairly new. If anyone remembers LotRO on launch day, there wasn't much variety in anything. There were 4 horse colors, very few armour choices/looks, no festivals...
I'll agree with Khafar, specifically because I do use Linux as my only OS (no dual boot) and have done so for many, many years. At work and at home.
While I think it'd be nice to have more native...
Kinda reminds me: Anyone remember the glitch in beta where a ride from Duillond to Celondim would get you killed because the horse consistently missed the bridge? :) One moment you'd ride along...
Closed beta... the kin name is from the time when there was no auto-decline kin invite functionality :)
I still remember the awe of first seeing the Shire, and Bree. And the begging vid me and my...
He did the same to me, and I am _sure_ he didn't have any corruption on him. I survived it - barely. But to be honest, for a solo mob he shouldn't randomly hit that hard.
PyLOTRO is maintained by ajackson, as far as I recall: http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=91492
