There's a couple of things to be done if we want to turn yellow line into a fun and viable line for hunters. Listen in random order. If all were applied yellow would probably be too strong.

I can enter moria but not hte Skumfil instance - so am I okay?

Please don't add this - if you want a campfire, play a hunter. Don't take away one of the things that makes the hunter stand out.

Blue line is probably best - but if you want to do content more than 5 levels or more higher than you, use yellow. Enemies at that level deflect all your attacks, but they can't deflect traps!....

Right, buffing debuffs/cc is also a way to improve trapper. However, I'm not sure I agree with all your suggestions. Having diatracting shot apply a debuff makes no sense, as then you'd have to hit...

Okay, it is clear that at level cap yellow line isn't on par with the other lines.
Right now, a trap does less damage than a quickshot. And the One Trap is pretty useless as it deals less damage...

If you are going to go PvE, you want PvE sets, not PvP sets. They're really much better for PvE.
Also, a tanky buid DOES help against a 12 man boss, because you will survive that first hit that...

You want to have crit rating capped, so definitely go for that one. You have a lot of physical defence already. More than necessary probably. You're not a tank ;)

No. Please. I don't want to go through the entire grind for essences again. Also, we now have reasonably challenging end game content (The osgiliath instances) while if level cap was increased those...

What we need is seven camp fire bind points. Then add a campfire to every level of Minas Tirith :D That would save me soo much time.

Boost dps in some way, either by increasing dps of skills, or giving hunters +percentage ranged damage , so that 13-15k dps on...

Yep, hunters need a boost. Hunter dps isn't on par to a rk's or warden's dps, and the survivability isn't even close! IMO, hunters need a good survival/ self heal skill, 10m more range in all lines...

This really needs to be fixed. As a hunter you now need to slot tons of mits essences to get to cap. IMO, it should be in between light and heavy, so around 14k for cap.
It isn't that hard to adjust...

Yellow's dps is quite terrible atm.. Trap damage really needs to be improved by at least twice at level cap. Even better would be to tie it to physical mastery.

I have 4248 crit defence, which shows up as 29.8% on my character panel
