Just because the transfer infrastructure still exists (as in, it wasn't patched out on the launcher) doesn't mean the functionality isn't disabled on their end for actually transferring characters.

Tirithion in this thread did try it, multiple times (3+). Which is when he went to support to write a ticket, only then to find that article updated or edited on the 4th of July.

Yes, but the support article clearly denotes that transfers are disabled for both current live, and closed worlds.
