My user.reg had all but the last four lines noted above. I added them and rebooted the system. We'd just gotten update 24, so it took a little while to update everything and give the fixes a try....

This almost works. The launcher gets all of the screens and updates and then crashes. It gives the following error:

Cordovan posted that the game worlds have reopened. But the game launcher doesn't know that. It just sits there saying "Installing Pre-Regs" and not doing anything.
What was the design intent of going with the skill trees? From what has been announced it appears to be reduce the number of skills we have available in any one build. Will the new weaker characters...

I've reinstalled KB2670838 and it prevents LotRO's launcher from loading the game. So it is now uninstalled, again.
I unloaded KB2670838 and LotRO launches! Now to find out what that "fix" was planned to correct and decide if I need it or not.
I too am having similar problems, however my LotRO launcher crashes to the desktop after world selection without any messages. The only software change I've done in the past week is upgrading to ie...
The problem is getting worse ... now I can't even get the data centers ...
