    he was an uruk, captain of the tower of cirith ungol, as for how he died i can only guess he died at barad'dur after blood loss, or at the battle at the black gate.
    (if this is wrong i'd love to know where you got the answer cause i couldn't find anywhere for how he died, no facts at least)

    Where did Turambar say Glaurang would go first if he conquered?
    (i believe i may of won this... although if it is answered then my hat off to you)

    ".... for they remembered the words of Turambar that, if Glaurung conquered, he would go first to Ephel Barandir."

    Children of Hurin ~ The Death of Glaurung ~ p239 (Hardback)

    My goodness, thats some serious hat head hair!

    Note on the previous question. ~ Given the time frame of Shagrat's arrival in the Tower and Frodo's journey to Mt Doom, there is a good chance Shagrat was in Barad Dur when it fell.

    Question:
    What name did the few survivors of the fall of Gondolin take for themselves when they came to their new home? What does the name mean?

    someone correct me if im wrong but this question cannot be answered ... the information regarding the survivors is too fractured and contradictory ..

    as far as i know the survivors were known as the exiles of gondolin, and the area in which they settled was known as the mouth of sirion or also known as the haven of sirion ...

    the geographical region which encompassed this area of land was known as arvernian which has no meaning ...

    heres and easy one ...how was elwe, the eldar high king of the sindar slain and by whom?

    Well, the version i know best was by the dwarves of Nogrod. Elwe(aka Thingol), wanted these dwarves to combine the Nauglamir with the Silmaril Beren took, and in their greed the dwarves wanted it for themselves when they died. Thingol didn't want them to have it, they slew him instantly(from Silmarillion). Other version i've heard is thes same dwarves went home, came back with more, and slew Thingol while he was hunting.

    Two things: BOTH Thingol and the Dwarves were enchanted by it and wanted it very badly. Second, in the Silmarillion, Thingol was not slain instantly, first he stood up and gave a little speech. He insulted the dwarves' heritage, race, and said he was superior to them. The Sil said it was this speech that turned the dwarves' lust into rage, which drove them to slay Thingol.

    EDIT: I have an interesting question to ask if Isilmacil doesn't ask one.

    EDIT: I know I didn't answer a question, but there was a 4 day gap so I figured I could.

    Yes and no? The last Istari to come to Middle Earth was Olorin, (or Gandalf). Not after he was made 'The White' though.

    Rohan. Though with Google at your fingertips, Tolkien Trivia is not super hard...

    How about this: What was the name of Arwen's mother? (and I will not accept Galadriel's daughter as an answer :P)

    And I haven't given the name of the whale because then you could cheat and look it up.

    I got it. I believe you are under the common misconception that the dog's name is Roverandom, as that is the title of the book. However, the dog's name is Rover.

    "Once upon a time there was a little dog, and his name was Rover. He was very small, and very young, or he would have known better; and he was very happy playing in the garden in the sunshine with a yellow ball, or he would never have done what he did."

    I suppose it is a possibility that Rover was renamed Roverandom at some later point in the book, perhaps by the Man in the Moon or someone else. I don't remember, but I'm quite sure his name remained Rover throughout the whole book. Either way, his name (or one of his names) is Rover.

    Here's my question:

    What gift did Frodo Gamgee ask of his father?

    Well you said "Rover? :P" so I wasn't sure if it was a sarcastic guess or a genuine answer. I suppose I should have given you credit however... I apologize.

    As for Frodo Gamgee... Only thing I remember is his name (along with Sam's) was changed from Gamgee to Gardner and he inherited Bag End.

    So was it Bag End?

    Unfortunately, no.

    I'm afraid you need to have read the Histories of Middle-Earth for this. Knowing you, though, I think you'll really like the answer when it comes out. In fact, Frodo Gamgee may become your new favorite Hobbit.

    Here's one for you I found online. Most of the ones I would have come up with are taken

    Which of the following charges do Frodo, Sam, Pippin, and Merry NOT face when they are arrested at Frogmorton?
    * Tearing up of rules
    * Gate-breaking
    * Trespassing
    * Sleeping in Shire-buildings without leave
    * Travelling after dark
    * Bribing guards with food
    * Assaulting gate-keepers
