MMO games you’ve played: Only LOTRO Since 2010
Why kinships should be interested in you: To help in the quests and craftings.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm inactive player and lonely play. I want a adult kinship. I started at an early age and always played with the adult players. I don't like talking too much. I just want to stay in a kinship and we can help each other, for the quests, instances and craftings. Small or huge, inactive or active, no problem.

Looking for any kin. This is the way I am. I run all dungeons and will lead them. I help all and give freely. I am blunt and may cruse a little. I will hold certain festivals for the kin that grant valuable in-game items. I love Trivia soo.... brush up on your pop culture and Lotro.

I will be playing my Epic (lmao) RK Nasdrad.

    Thank-you for reading.

Why kinships should be interested in you: Somewhat casual player, but always willing to help. I'm also polite and patient, and I have Lifetime VIP so nothing is off limits for me when it comes to skirms/quests/etc.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: A friendly and casual kin that is also polite and patient. I'm not the best player in the universe, so a kin that will be cool about that is a must. People I can group with and such every once in a while, maybe more once I get to know them a bit better.

Your name, or character name and race (if known):
My character is Hakthil, a Dwarf Champion and my husband's character is Aurda, a Hobbit Hunter. Our characters are leveled into the mid 30's. (He also has a level 36 Minstrel that he hasn't played in over a decade.)

    Age:
    I'm 47 and he is 37.

Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
We currently play on the Brandywine server but we are open to anything.

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
We live in the Netherlands (GMT+1), having moved here from the US in August 2018. We are hoping to find a kinship that is also based in Europe, and hopefully willing to speak English while we learn Dutch.

Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
I'm new to MMORPGs; I tried a WOW trial when a bunch of my friends were playing but it wasn't intuitive for me and it just didn't grip me. My husband played WOW for a number of years, and joined LOTRO in June 2007, playing characters to level 20-35, and then putting it aside until this year. He is very comfortable in the environment. I still run into trees and lamps and struggle to open doors, heh.

We started playing because I wanted to play a game where I could be immursed in the LoTR world, like I did years ago with my kids with the Harry Potter games on Playstation - being able to fly all over Hogwarts on a broom, running all over the castle and the grounds, etc. I'm enjoying the storyline but what is keeping me hooked are the details, including the gorgeous scenery and expanded LoTR world (that still feels faithful to the original material). Sometimes we listen to the unabridged audio books while we play!

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):

We are looking for a group that enjoys being social and talking about real-world interests, and is also looking to be helpful to each other (I can make all sorts of crops for the kinship, for example, and we could use some help in some instances).

Here's the rabbithole that convinced me to look for a kinship: I got sucked into the recent treasure hunting event and started looking through what items I wanted to barter for. I really wanted the goat steed, so I kept at it for 2+ days and finally got the goat! Woo hoo! I also got a bunch of decorations. Well, if I'm going to have decorations, I should get a house. Do I really want to buy a house? Maybe not. Oh, kinships can have houses! ... etc.

I also enjoy socializing in conjunction with the games I play, be it boardgames, phone/tablet games, or online. Combining my interest in meeting people and being social with my interest in sharing a (virtual) home with others in a kinship seems a no-brainer.

    Looking for a Kin

OK, this is my generic data.

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Ebnut, Elf Warden

Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) Shortly to be 45
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Ithil
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): I'm portuguese, but I play at very random times
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Whatever is fun. Currently casual, used to be hardcore grinder.
MMO games you’ve played: LoTRO, Archeage, Guild Wars 2, Planetside 1 and 2, D&DO
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I just want to be around fun, laid back people, who can help me and whom I can help in return.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Laid back. Friendly. Likes to do content, but not at the expense of their member's fun or happiness.

    Looking for a kin

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Chryadan
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 50
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Landroval
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):East Coast US
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Lots of solo play, but years of experience with groups. I am a lifetime subscriber to LOTRO so i have been here more than ten years, with several long absences for a variety of reasons. Just coming back after being gone for two years, getting caught up on the changes, the new zones and the grind for LI advancement. i am looking for a kin that has at least a handful of active members, preferably one that attempts the end game content. I'm not looking for hardcore, thats not my style, but am fine with a kin that has a mix of both, but would appreciate a more laid back atmosphere. I have seven level 100 toons or higher but will most likely focus on only a few moving forward due to grind of the game.
    MMO games you’ve played:
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am easy going, helpful, happy to lend a hand, admittedly though i am done running low level content, been through it too many times to wanna go back to angmar. I have led a kin and been a member of several over the years so i know what it takes to be part of a social group.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I am looking for one that is relatively active, even if its just ten people but those people play regularly, that is cool. Looking for a more mature kin in terms of its members but i am flexible. Casual playstyle but people who want to take on the harder content. I'm fine with dying a few times while doing so as well.

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Cementi (no character yet)

    Age: 38

Preferred server(s), if any :None I am starting fresh and am also considering the legendary servers.

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):Canada, MST

Playstyle : Group content of all types, social (voice chat), exploration though thats usually a solo thing. Not a fan of rushing content.

MMO games you’ve played: Far to many to list but the one most near and dear to me was City of Heroes/Villains.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I think what I offer most is a flexible player. I can find enjoyment playing literally any class and as such frequently have mutiple alts so that I can switch to what the group needs. This usually means support though sometimes tank. I am a returning player and used to play a Captain, I will likely play one of those first unless there is a call for something else. For me MMO's are more about the social experience. I am not playing a game to make it a second job. I play to relax and often on voice will be talking with friends about stuff that has little to do with the game. Usually dnd or other rpgs as I DM and play. I have made many friends over the years from various games that still keep still keep in touch with and play various games with them though no MMO's. Allthough I do not seek it my personality usually draws me into roles where I assist leadership in some way. Probably because I enjoy dungeons a great deal and am usually forming groups for them. I think you can walk a line between casual and serious where you try to do your best but not to the detriment of the groups fun.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):Active obviously but that could mean 4 people or 40. As long as people who group are on. Some kind of voice communication is a must for me. I am terrible at monitoring chat at times. Discord is what I currently use to keep in touch with people but I am not opposed to other systems. I am looking for people to play with. Not people to run me through content and shower me with gear that I might one day be able to equip. While I appreciate those sentiments it simply is not fun for me to sprint along behind someone else looting bodies. Some of my friends are established in WoW and have convinced me to try it many times. Everytime it ends up the same though. I blow through content trying to catch up to them as they are constantly giving me stuff that I have to find a place to store when I get to that level. I came here because I enjoyed this game a great deal once upon a time. The only reason I left it was due to my group moving on. This time I am here by myself looking for a new group and hopefully a new group of friends. Not that I don't value my old ones. I still game with them here and there when schedules permit.

Figured I would also talk about RP. As a avid table top RPG player who both plays and runs games I am certainly familiar with it and would not be opposed to an RP group though it is also not required. RP for me has to walk that line of casual/serious though. Nothing wrong with those who want to sit down in a tavern and rp stuff for hours but that really is not the experience I am looking for.

Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Solo, Group, Raid when I can, casual, time-limited, light crafting
MMO games you’ve played: Pretty much all the big names since EQ. LOTRO since beta.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm very friendly, easy-going, zero drama, and always willing to help where I can. I'll be honest, my schedule can be erratic, so I might be on every night for a few weeks, and then I'll be offline for another few weeks. I travel a lot, so I need a kinship willing to put up with me.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Casual, friendly, not overly demanding of my time, zero drama. In exchange, I'm not looking for demands on the kinship either. Just a friendly group of people looking to have fun when we can. I'm a lifetime subscriber, but I've been away from the game for awhile, just started back up about a month ago.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am willing to learn all aspects of the game that are required to help function in a guild. Willing to learn required roles in PvE, PvP and crafting in order to help the guild and myself to get better at the game. I am a support player so will likely be levelling all the support classes , and second tanks. Im not a huge Min-Maxer as i am just looking to have fun.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): PvE focused with space for people to learn the game and help build

Cool What is this post icon for...?

Woohooo, got to level 23 and now I can post in the forums(?)!!

I can't tell if recruiters are actually reaching out to people here, but I'm new to LOTRO and it's not clear to me how else to go about finding a kinship (especially on Ithil), so I hope this returns some results.

My name: Cairdwyn (a Captain of Rohan)

    Age: turning 30 in June!

    Preferred server: Ithil

Location: California, so Pacific Standard time except during daylight savings but hopefully we will be getting rid of that soon

Playstyle: Been going solo simply because I have no other option at the moment! I think I would rather play with other people. I'm not super competitive though (more collaborative) so I'm not really interested in PvP.

MMO games you’ve played: I don't remember the name, I was in middle school and it was text-based!

Why kinships should be interested in you: I'm a perfectly amiable, drama-free person. Also, I log in pretty much every night (this is how I unwind after work), so I'll be around frequently to participate in the kinship. I've been really enjoying LOTRO but I think I will enjoy it much more once I start meeting people and forming relationships (that's what fellowship is all about, isn't it?).

What kind of kinship you are looking for: A mature social space with some questing and a range of experience levels, so I can fit in with the relative newbies but have opportunities to learn from more seasoned players, and someday return the favor for new folks when I'm more experienced myself.

On a side note, I had my first in-game interaction with another player last night. It was a very nice person named Annelore, she invited me to join a brief fellowship with her just to help me gain experience points (she was a level 50 Elf or High Elf), and she helped me find the ruin-web trapper at Amon Ros after I had been running around for several game-hours looking for it. After some of the things I've heard about toxic gamer culture, I was really happy and surprised to have such a friendly encounter. On the LOTRO Reddit, many people also express their appreciation for the mostly mature and friendly LOTRO gamer culture. I hope Annelore wasn't an outlier; I would like to meet more nice people!

I think you'll find that it's not an outlier. LOTRO has its toxic players, sure, but the player culture is very friendly.

Looking for a kinship (so I'm posting here)

    Server: Arkenstone

    Main character: Lycaion, elf loremaster

    Time zone: GMT-6

Me? Angry nerd. Bought this game at release, quit at level 30-40 when every spineless parasitic imbecile refused to run Garth Agarwen on-level and wanted only to be run through it by max-level characters. Returned several times since then, quitting every time as the game got more and more idiot-friendly, dumbed-down, oversimplified, truncated and repetitive, etc. Bringing my character up to speed (currently level 111) and I'll be devoting some time over the next few months to seeing what, if anything, is new in LotRO, so I'd like a kinship capable of running a diverse array of group content. I am absolutely not interested in powergamer twits mindlessly grinding only the latest instance, or in mealymouthed "we're a family" types which never do anything but enthusiastically greet each other as they log in and out every day. I don't bother with PvP either, or whatever rolesaying passes for roleplaying here. If your posse's capable of intelligent conversation, that would be a huge plus.

There. If that didn't scare you off, pm me or toss Lycaion a mail in-game. I will not be looking at this thread again.

I haven't played this game since 2010. I quit because those I played with stopped playing.....and that nasty 4 letter word....life.

I heard there was a Discordians group on the Landroval server and I would love to join that one if they're still around.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Active, friendly, willing to help out and learn.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Friendly and inviting, not afraid to have fun, and willing to help out the newbies (I'm not technically new to the game, but this is the highest level I've achieved)

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Slagorin - Guardian
    Age: 41
    Preferred server(s): Brandywine
Location: Northern CA. 8-9 PST would be perfect.
Playstyle: Would like to get back into raiding
MMO games you’ve played: LotRO from closed beta through RoR. Some WoW from time to time. Rift for a few years.
Why kinships should be interested in you? / What kind of kinship you are looking for: Not looking for anything too serious, but I'd like to be able to raid 1-2 nights a week. My current kin is a ghost town so it would also be nice to see more than one person logged on in the last week, too. (: I've been gearing back up and am close to 376 on everything, though I still need to read up on how to do the current dungeons and raids.
