Sam: “It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going because they were holding on to something.”
Frodo:“What are we holding on to, Sam?”
Sam: “That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.”
Contemplating the futility of it all or wondering how you get to those ruins opposite the Wardspire in Ered Luin.
There is a mistaken belief that there wasn't a Woman in the Fellowship. It is just that when she got to Rivendell. "You want to climb over the Misty Mountains - You want to go down through Moria - Are you all mad." So she moved in with the Elves instead.
So everyone is telling me about this awesome Elf Mount in the game for getting Reputation with all the elves. I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed as it didn't seem to move at all and constantly whined about a "grey shadow on his heart". I'm not sure why everyone says this mount is amazing...
Not sure if I even want to attempt to get the Dwarf Mount they were so excited to talk about in Moria.
Dusk in the Shire.
While I am here, would anyone like any fish?

The Fields of Fornost.
I tell you there was a lush forest here, before that party of Dwarves walked past.

The bright blade of Anduril shone like a sudden flame as he swept it out. "Elendil!" he cried. "I am Aragorn son of Arathorn and am called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dunadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor. Here is the Sword that was Broken and is forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me? Choose swiftly!"

Traveling back out of Moria on an errand I stop a moment to see a strange but amazing sight. Perhaps it is my eyes have become accustomed to the dark depths that I see this much brighter.
Happy days at the Party Tree, Harvestmath 2011. Cheers!

Perhaps the creepiest thing I've found in Mirkwood, and that's saying something!

Everything is beautiful in the mornings, even Midgewater.
And yeah, if I'd been thinking I would have cranked up the graphics before taking the shot, but I wasn't.
Arda... the Final Frontier.
These are the voyages of the elven lord Eriaphor.
His supreme mission: to explore strange new lands, to seek out foul life and dark civilizations, to boldly go where no elf has gone before.
