    @ Solastrion

Hi, and thank you for the kind comment.

To replace the radar, browse your hard drive to open the folder where you have installed JRR skins collection.

    open

    ...\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\JRR Skins collection\JRR CORE\minimap

select all the elements contained inside the minimap folder, copy them and paste them into the jappme's minimap folder

....\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\JRR Skins collection\# JappMe #\minimap

    (answer "yes" for overwritting)

It should be ok on next character loading ingame,

if not, let me know ^^

As Christmas gift I'm offering you a major update of JRR Skins Collection !

Version 5.17 contains 464 more files than v4.17 and beyond 100 additional hours of work !

    - JRR version five introduces one more theme. "Fifty Shades of Grey Wizard" is a raised-to-life edition of "Greyskin UI" created by Maximoz in 2007, and unfortunately abandoned the same year.
I've fixed, updated and fulfilled the theme with the standard JRR UI environment (mostly based on BGM skin elements).

    - There already was a JRR addon called "Greyskin". Until now, it only featured a revival of a toolbar from GreySkin UI, embedded in a JRR based theme.
The short grey custom toolbar is now integrated in the same theme than "Fifty Shades of Grey Wizard".
There is still a second short custom toolbar, a black one, it remains associated with the black JRR basic theme.
I've redesigned the both toolbars for a better looking.

    - It looks like Turbine inverted two frames in the auto attack buttons sequences, I dunno when. I've fixed them on all JRR skins and addons.

    - Added a variation in Delving Hills auto-attack button : Clicking the button opens the door, us usual, but this time the hobbit don't show up until you really attack something !

    - Changed the toolbar's fervor/concentration meter on Monster's Lair, The White Hand and Greyskin addon.

    - Added/enhanced some auction panel backgrounds.

    - Improved the integration of the themes with monster play.

    - Modified a lot of portraits and added some others: Winter festival , VIP and anniversary.

    - Enhanced a few character panel's equipment and appearance tabs.

    - Changed the background color of a few "dressrooms".

    - Changed a little bit how the name of the target is displayed on the portrait, to better support very long names.

    - A lot of other minor changes/enhancements here and there.

    I wish you all a wonderful end-of-year celebration and a well-deserved break.

As far as I know, yes. I'm still using one and I know other people who use them (different ones to the one I'm using).

I can't get it to work. I've tried many times in the past with no success on my own pc. However, I 've personally done the same procedure in a friend's computer and i got it working normally. Finally i've decided to ask for support. Almost the whole screen is full of grey squares in the areas where the skin's special icons should be, i suppose. I've downloaded all files that you show that should be in the skins folder and my game resolution is 1680x1050. All files are double checked in the correct folders. What else could be causing the problem? (i' ve made the same post in the skin's thread on lotrointerface.com)

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

If double check don't work, go for a triple check ^^

Grey frame indicate files not found, usually it means that you renamed / moved / deleted some folders or did not downloaded/installed all of them.

Did you try to use a JRR skin addon or one the the skins from the main pack ?

    - "JRR skins collection" folder must not be renamed and must be directly placed at the right place, not inside another custom/unpacking folder, or addons won't work and show only grey frames.

    - Optional addons folders must be located outside JRR skins collection folder and placed beside it.

Thanks for the answer but unfortunately i cannot get it to work. I tried everything you suggested, i even deleted my old The Lord of the Rings Online folder from My Documents and let the game create a new one where i placed the skin files. Nothing. As a side note, it's not related to your skin cause it's happenning with other skins and plugins as well. It must be something related to my computer and i hoped someone would be more knowledgable than me in that matter. Anyway thanks again

FWIW, do you have your documents folder stored on a drive other than the C drive? For instance, network and removable drives have been known to be issues in the past.

Yep, it's in my C hard drive.
I also had to format my windows for various reason today and tried again but with no luck as expected.

Ok, let's try the same thing in a different way :

Please, delete your "skins" and "plugins" folders (or their content), then download and install this .exe file (no virus in it, just be careful clicking the right download link, not an ad) :

It is a self-made custom installation package containing the skins "monster's lair" and "the white hand" + a few customized and/or frenchified plugins dedicated to PVP :
    JRR PVP Pack v5.17.exe - 16.8 MB

This installer should be able to detect custom documents folder location, create "ui", "skins" and "plugins" folders if they don't exist, and then install all the files at their expected tree path, this should avoid human errors.

Since you also indicated that plugins won't install for you, you could also try installing Lunarwater's Plugin Compendium which is used to install plugins, It won't help directly with skins but might help identify issues with folder location/permissions issues. If it works to install plugins and they work, then the documents folder structure is OK and accessible by your user account as well as the game. Simplest test is to install Compendium and then use it to install any simple plugin, then run the game and see if the plugin is accessible.

    Plugin Compendium (Windows version):

Again thanks for the replies and your time bust still nothing. I know it's really weird as i said before i've personally made it work on another computer.

Image of the Combat analysis plugin (downloaded through Compendium) with the special icons still replaced by grey frames : https://postimg.org/image/6wzryjwul/

Image of my directory (clean of addons cause i deleted everything as you suggested) : https://postimg.org/image/5dqtrxnlj/

Apparently, for a strange reason, your Lotro client can't read and/or open and/or access .TGA files from plugins and skins in your documents folder.
I dunno if internally the lotro client also read TGA files as individual files or if they are embedded in a big .DAT file.
Do you have a weird antivirus which blocks TGA picture files by default ? You can try to disable it for a few minutes...
Did you try to re-install the Lotro client (if damaged) ?

No, it's not AV related, i just tried desabling it.
I wouldn't like to reinstall lotro atm but i'm pretty sure i've done it in the past with no success. However, i don't see how it would help with this.

Striker, here's a slightly odd question, what application do you have associated with .tga files and do you have any image editing software installed? I know it shouldn't matter but I recalled an issue I had a couple years back with .tiff files.

Edit : Properties of a random .tga file say it opens with "Windows Shell Common Dll", not sure if that says something though.

It's all at default mate, i don't know which app i should associated them with. I don't have any extra software, especially now that i've freshly formatted my windows. Do you think a third party image software would help?
P.S. Reinstalling the game didn't help, just tried.

I sent you a PM (the Private Messages tab on this forum doesn't show the number of unread messages so you have to manually check) so that we can try debugging this further.
