The best freeps of Windfola

Now that I have been here for a while, I have had the chance to fight against most freeps on this server and have met some quality opponents. I know that this server has had many good players before. I have heard of many names, but I will refrain from listing them here. In my opinion these are the best of each class that are currently active ( last few months of update 13 and beginning of 14 )

1. Minstrel - Dinarian for healing. I don't think we have any DPS minstrels now

2. Loremaster - Tilimir

3. Warden - Felindaq (sp ?) or Poblo

4. Guardian - haven't seen many to judge.

5. Burglar - haven't seen many.

6. Runekeeper - Rhogue

7. Hunter - Personally I have found yellow line hunters more difficult. Hence as a warg, Imelvo and Dep would be my biggest challenge. I have seen Caileen own quite a few creeps solo but whatever trait line he/she runs is more suitable against non-warg classes imo.

8. Champion - haven't seen many.

9. Captain - haven't seen many.

All the above mentioned names are people I would think twice before pouncing (except hunters ofcourse - but that is because their class is gimped). My opinions are based on my view as a warg. So some freeps that I find difficult might be an easy kill for someone playing a different class. I would like to hear from other creeps about who they think are their most difficult opponents.

1. Minstrel: Annastesia for heals, Red Line not sure as I've only seen myself running it so far since i've been here.

2. Loremaster: Tilimir/Waterdragon, both great LMs and can't pick between the two

3. Warden: Felindiaq hands down

4. Guardian: Same with Erazer, but Vaex is good

5. Burglar: Tempo!

6. RK, Claytime for healing, Rendering DPS

7. Hunter: Dep/Imel for red line, Zume for yellow - great player.

8. Champion: Also haven't seen many, but Zerging is a good player.

9. Captain: Prelude - absolute tank in yellow line

Now that you mention it, I remember Zerging. I only encountered him once. He was something like rank 6 and I was expecting a faceroll kill when I jumped him. The fight ended with both of us dead. The guy has skill.

In response to Lothogon's list. Endlessly self healing does not make you a good freep. But that's just my opinion. Also this list is a terrible idea.

Now that you mention it, I remember Zerging. I only encountered him once. He was something like rank 6 and I was expecting a faceroll kill when I jumped him. The fight ended with both of us dead. The guy has skill.

@Expel Keep QQing to the game please, especially on an overpower class. Please elaborate on why this is a bad idea? If you think we favour friends/kinmates, I do not know Zume in game, a brave r6 hunter that has skill and should be credited for it.

I will second that. Not targeted at anyone in particular. The same applies to creep side as well. In a WL/Defiler vs Hunter fight for example, the WL/Defiler is guaranteed to win if they do not hold back on heals.

But that's just my opinion. Also this list is a terrible idea.

Maybe. I can see why such a list can be a bad idea since people will have the tendency to list their friends/kinmates/high ranks in most cases. However I feel that credit must be given where it is due. I will be interested in hearing who you think the best freeps are.

What makes such a list hard is that winning a fight in lotro pvp does not necessarily mean that the person that won played better than the one that lost. In a lot of cases the outcome of the fight is dependent on what class you play and what class the opponent plays. There are some ridiculous trait lines and skills available for certain classes that makes them near invincible even at the hands of a mediocre player.

Of special note - Being mediocre in a game is not an insult by any means. There are far more important things to be good at.

I appreciate the compliment. Recently returning to LOTRO and working on a different trait line has been a blast. With anything new, it takes time and look forward to the many more fights ahead. As to Argas list, i would agree except for the being active part.

I also second loth's vote for Anna, I know I learned a lot from her when I was a baby freep and missed her when she was gone. Loth's is a fantastic mini to, he is just new give him a little time I bet he will be just as infamous.

I occasionally drop-by the forums, but as the temptation of finishing up to r15 (even with the newer glory gains system that partly drove me away) would require me to grind out level and gear... it just doesn't seem worth the time. One day it may happen still; the game's still here and I'm still breathing.

Like Aerdred said, I ain't in a rush to get back, and in present situation I would be unable to at least til the new year (Dang Army Deployments)
I would definitly be interested in taking a crack at it again, maybe getting r15 for some reason, meh idk. I'm delving into SWTOR again because I drool at Star Wars anything, and thinking about getting into Wildstar after my return.

But definitly might see an Arga pop up with a blue shield screaming and yelling to get that stupid guardian, or w.e. class is fleeing.

Thank ya ^_^ I kinda just bull#### my way through :P But, getting better... Still have very specific things that I have trouble with: Reaver Charge (if they know what they're doing), Defiler/WL heals, Warg... no.. wargs I actually can take out a majority of the time, Spider TC lets me kick my own ### and I need to start playing my hunter like my warg when against BA's...

I'd make up a list of freeps, as well, however I don't play my warg enough currently to measure active players and I have terrible memory.. the last 7 years of play are a blur :P

1. captain: No Nyriens is not the best cappy but she is the only one i can think of oh and solo us and annoula but none are really note worthy.

2. Champions: zergings champ

3. Gaurdian: all good ones have left and no vaex is not a good gaurd running in and knocking down then popping warriors heart and sprinting out does not make you good.

4. Burglar: almost too few to judge maybe tempo?

5. Loremaster: til water and spilo are all fairly decent.

6. Runekeeper: claytime Rhogue is good too

When I had created the initial list there were some classes that I left out since I hadn't come across many opponents playing those classes. Now that I have fought a few from those classes I will list some for the classes I had skipped before.

Burglar - Rannulfr
DPS minstrel - Nasylrida
Guardian - DarrusianJuggernaut
Captain - Visennya

Most of them are R7 or so but have given me a run for my money when I have fought them. Obviously there are still some freeps that I haven't fought yet. My list is solely based on open field, no skills restriced 1 v 1s.
