It's that time of year again when after all the Christmas festivities and the New Year's haze and then we remember it's the birthday of the Creator... no the other one ( ), J.R.R. Tolkien

3rd January is Tolkien's birthday and following recommendations from The Tolkien Society I am inviting the Gilrain server to come to the Bird and Baby Inn, Michel Delving to come raise a glass or pint to the late Professor and remember all his good work. And after we have had a little drink and perhaps some pipeweed, what else but fireworks!

I am aiming for a 9pm (UK Time) start based on what The Tolkien Society has proposed, it won't take long and it's just a little social fun and a good way of remembering the man without whom all this would not be possible. Are you available to follow me one (more) last time?

Just a heads up guys - as an organised event, this won't be going ahead. I apologise but I'm just not up to it right now.
If you want to do something yourselves - all the Tolkien Society suggests is raise your drink at 9pm (local time) and propose a toast to "The Professor."
