    Turbine, please dont close Riddermark!

Riddermark is my home in Middle-Earth, my post is only a plea to Turbine, please dont close Riddermark. Population is low, i know, but i like this way. I think Turbine need to leave a low population server in the future list of active servers, then, please make Riddermark the future low population server, for the people that like it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Sergio :-)

Riddermark is also my home server but ever since pvp died there then other people just transferred off. There is not much you can do to stop Turbine once they decided which servers must close down.

We'll have to wait for the official announcements.

It is LIKELY that Riddermark will close, based on current server logins/population estimates, but for all we know they will choose the 3 or 4 lowest population servers as TARGET servers instead.

    (Assuming these stats are accurate)
I would say it depends how many they plan on closing, even if they just closed the lowest population that is 20k freeps to relocate. If they closed 5 servers, that would be around 5k players added to all the remaining servers. Obviously not all those numbers are active but it gives you an idea of not too many would need to be closed to make a big different to server populations.

These stats were based off the mylotro info, which has been redundant for some time now (approximately 2 years if memory serves, though I can't remember exactly) - Withywindle and Evernight in particular have seen sizeable population growth since then, as they've frequently been the recommended servers over this period. It would be good if there was some way of gauging the accurate server population figures at the moment, but unfortunately AltFinder is no longer a way to do this, considering how out of date it is.

Edit: Just checked the disclaimer on the AltFinder website, and it says that the mylotro data was discontinued as of August 2013 - so its about 1 and a half years out of date at this moment in time.

I suppose it is possible they will consolidate low pop servers into one but I doubt it would retain the name of any of them and would mostly likely get a new name. Riddermark has been dying for some time now. When I first start playing this game you couldn't get to an npc or crafting area because of the crowds. Now I can travel all over the world and not run into another person.

I would hope that the server won't close. Although I've transferred a few toons off, it's still my home server and I'd be sad to see it go.

That said, the population has really dropped lately, and as another poster said, I can roam the whole map, both in PvE and in Moors and not run into another player, Freep or Creep (if I'm in the Moors). I would hope for some kind of merge before they just up and close the server down.
I've been at the mercy of men just following orders. Never again.
