    The Mithril League Kinship

UPDATE: After Anor closed in August 2022, the Mithril League (along with many other kinships on Anor) moved to LANDROVAL. We hope to see you there!

    Greetings Folk of Anor!

I would like to tell you about the Mithril League kinship on the Anor Legendary Server.
Our mission is to gather friendly players of all skill levels and create a fun and stress-free atmosphere.
We want to explore the raids and group content of LOTRO without the headaches so common in many raiding kinships.
We have zero-tolerance for drama, and we keep kinchat mature and family-friendly.

Interested in group content, but not experienced?
Don't worry! This is the best place to learn.
We invite players of all skill levels to join our kinship.
    It's a friendly group--don't be shy!

Most of our players are based in North America, but we have active members based in Europe and Asia as well.
We schedule group activities most Wednesday and Friday evenings around 8:00 pm server (=North America Eastern) time.
We also have regular morning events for our early birds and European members.
There are many other adventures, both impromptu and scheduled, throughout the week.

We have a website and an active Discord server for our members.
Check out our website to learn more: ML.shivtr.com
You can apply to the Mithril League through our website.

We look forward to meeting you!

Ok, I am an Ex Everquest player..... still listening (lol) my wife encouraged me to try this game, as I love the lore and exploring as I quest... Long story short, I would very much like to join your Kin. My work puts restrictions on play time so I may not be on for 2 to 3 days, or I may be on for 2 days lol.... I am a complete newbie but if all that hasnt turned you away, I would love to join you

    Hi Danolas,

Newbies are more than welcome, and we won't hold your past with Everquest against you. ;-)
I think Anor is great for new players because you get to experience all of the early content with other players.
Put in an application on our website (ml.shivtr.com) with your in-game character's name and our officers will reach out to you.

Looking forward to seeing you in Middle-earth!

Just thought I'd post an update on our progress...

We've had a lot of fun so far! We have about 30-40 players from all around the world.
Some focus on soloing and crafting. Others are setting up monthly social events and game nights.
Our level progression group has worked through all of the group content up to level 35, including landscape areas like Nan Wathren and Dol Dinen.

We have veteran raiders, new players, and longtime players who've never done much group content.
Everyone is here to relax and enjoy Middle-earth.

I post occasional updates and screenshots from our kinship's adventures together on Twitter:
    https://twitter.com/JThornshield

If you're looking for a casual, friendly kin that doesn't shy away from group content... (and will never yell at you for breaking a mez!) Check us out!

In my search for a good kin on Anor who both has progression and lots of kin activities, I decided to inquire about your kin. If Mithril League still
has room I would love to sign up. I have been around a while in lotro and plan to stick to the leg servers to see where they lead us.

    Hello Chilly!

Thanks for your interest in the kinship!
Our level progression group that had been meeting every week has mostly reached 50, and we're starting to explore the Angmar/Helegrod instances, but we still have a lot of players and alts at lower levels. Someone was just running a lvl 25 GB the other day, and on-lvl 35 GA about two weeks ago.

We're always happy to bring new members aboard. Sign up on our website or contact me in-game. We look forward to meeting you!

This thread has been inactive for a while, so I thought I'd just bump it back up.

The Mithril League is still very active! We've been blessed with some of the friendliest players I've met in my 11+ years of LOTRO.

We have scheduled raids every Friday/Sunday night server (=North America Eastern) time. We also have a scheduled fellowship or raid every Saturday morning. There are lots of impromptu fellowships and raids throughout the week.

We're excited about the release of Mirkwood and Ost Dunhoth!

If you're a friendly player looking for a kin chat full of smiling emojis and friendly advice (and you don't mind dying over and over alongside a silly dwarf named Jimi!) perhaps this is the kin for you!

Please check out our website http://ml.shivtr.com or contact Jimi in-game for more details!

I just wanted to chime in and say that I have been a member of this kin since January. I can honestly say that it is my favorite guild/kin in any of the MMO’s that I have been a part of. We are full of helpful and friendly people who like to have fun!

We run group content in a relaxed way and have had our share of success. We are currently running DN and anything else that strikes our fancy.

We also have a Discord server for communication and voice.

So, if you’re a likeminded person look us up!

This is the first time I've felt compelled to post on these forums in about 8 years. But I'm also in the Mithril League and have a few words to say about it.

I have had some great experiences with LOTRO as far as meeting people go. I was a featured player (Ojibwe) back when they did that sort of thing. I've been in/run kins in Gladden, Meneldor, Landroval, Dwarrowdelf, Crickhollow and now Anor. I've had a table of my kinmates come to my wedding a few years back and have formed some lasting relationships...

...and I'd count Mithril League on Anor as part of my favorite things I've been a part of.

Our kin chat is good, always drama-free, always family-safe, sometimes quiet, sometimes boisterous, sometimes even a little RP or Tolkien lore sneaks in there.

Our scheduled instances are inclusive; there's a fair chance to sign up and if you haven't run what we're running, we take the time to explain it so what we're doing makes sense to the newcomer. There are no cliques: if you're a Leaguer, you're a Leaguer but there are some of us who are more into instances and others who are into slow-levelling, questing and lore.

We've got Discord and use it primarily for instances so you don't have to feel compelled to have it up and running all the time, however, you should feel comfortable enough with it to join our instance groups. It's very difficult to run something with 11 people who are ready to roll and 1 who does their own thing that may not agree with what we're trying to accomplish

There's also an intangible with our kinship: kindness. You don't find that everywhere, especially with an MMO. We are helpful, we have fun while we run things, and if we happen to wipe, there's no rage-quits, finger-pointing, or childish anger. We pick ourselves back up, figure out what went wrong, explain it so we can avoid it happening again, laugh at Jimi, and get things done! In our code-of-conduct we discuss this more in-depth, and we don't tolerate drama-makers, so be sure to check it out if you're interested.

I believe in honesty when describing a kin. Cookies, bacon and a world-chat attitude don't work very well over the long-haul. We have started something great here on Anor and we want to grow slowly and continue to build our kinmosphere with the right people. Perhaps the next Mithril Leaguer could be you!

    Cheers,
    Beardian, Electril, Toob et al.

I would just like to say, I have been playing since 07. I love the game still, but but so much more now, because I am part of Mithril League. My playing has changed over the years. My health had changed, and kins may have not been understanding to the symptoms and why I might not be able to play or raid at times. My kinmate's and friends in Mithril League are kind and caring, this isn't just a kin, they are people, that understand life. We are all there for each other, you don't find that in the game all the time. You may just play to relax, and craft, raid sometimes, all the time, not at all, we are happy to take one and all. We have a blast every time. If you want to have fun, in a great environment? With none of the drama? We are the kin for you!

This thread has been inactive, so I thought I'd just give it a boost.

As we approach the release of Isengard, the Mithril League is still going strong. We're big enough to run fellowship and raid content each weekend and lots of impromptu adventures throughout the week, but small enough for everyone to get to know each other. Kin chat is active, friendly, and drama-free. Most of our players are based in North America, but we have numerous players based in Europe and Asia as well.

If you're looking for a close-knit LOTRO family on Anor, check us out at ML.shivtr.com or contact Jimi in game! New members are always welcome!

I'll echo some of what my friends have mentioned above. I'm very grateful to have stumbled into the same path as the Mithril League. I love LOTRO -- the lore, the story, and much of this game sparks the nostalgia of hobbits and orcs and adventures from when I was a kid reading the books. It's all even better when you have a group of kind folks to adventure with.

Whether running 3/6man's for fun, dailies, quests, deeds, or dying to stealthy Elephants, the Mithril League is just great. About the only drama I know of is I change outfits a lot while raiding, and then I usually die a lot. Past that, things are always chill.

(PS - if it doesn't make any sense, it might be an inside joke)

Greetings everyone, I just wanted to update the community and wish everyone Happy Holidays from the Mithril League!

The Mithril League is still going strong on Anor and have been active since the launch of the server. We have a website, discord and a Kin house with all the amenities! We also have scheduled group activities on the weekends with plenty of opportunity for impromptu runs during the week.

With the launch of Rohan right around the corner, if you need a place to level or just hang out and socialize, look no further than the Mithril League!

Contact myself, Isdilluin/Isdillril, or our fearless leader, Jimi for an invite!

I have an account on your forums, too. I didn't see a forum for introducing oneself though. I wonder if I should create one .

Welcome, Ardith! A meet and greet thread or forum sounds like a great idea for the kin website!
Our Discord server is also quite active so be sure to check that out too. People often leave messages on there. We mainly reserve voice chat for fellowships/raids.
Hope you can join in some of this weekend's activities!

With Riders of Rohan launching this week, I thought I'd post an update on the Mithril League's activities.
We are still going strong and enjoying our adventures in Middle-earth together. We're always excited to welcome new members to our close-knit community.

Were you late to the Legendary servers? Worry not! In addition to level cap content, the Mithril League is currently hosting a "level progression group" and re-living some of the earlier content on lowbie alts together, even as we level up our characters in the upcoming Rohan expansion. We are currently doing lvl 25-35 content (Great Barrow, Fornost, Garth Agarwen, etc), and we'll probably be moving onto lvl 45 and Annuminas/Angmar in March. Come join us!

    Greetings Folk of Anor!

And welcome to the many new and returning players to Anor recently!

I just thought I'd post an update on our activities. The Mithril League is still going strong and we are looking forward to the Helm's Deep expansion over the next week or two! We are still hosting several weekly group events. Currently, about half of our events are for lvl 85 and the other half are for our "level progression group," which is currently capped at lvl 60.

Were you late to the Legendary servers? Did you want to spend more quality time in Angmar and Moria? Worry not! Since January 2020, the Mithril League's "level progression group" is re-living some of the earlier content on lowbie alts together, even as we level up our characters in the upcoming Helm's Deep expansion. We are currently doing lvl 50-60 content (Angmar and Moria), and we'll probably keep our cap at 60 at least until the end of the year.

    Come join us!
