    Tolkien Jeopardy!

I have been thinking about starting this riddle thread for a while and today is the day.

This works like all of the other Tolkien Trivia threads except that there are no limits on the number of words (unlike One-word, Two-word and Three-word Trivia) AND you have to submit the answer in the form of a question.

So the only category in this form of Jeopardy! is Tolkien published stuff.

There will be no limits on what is allowed except that the answers have to be something written by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, and there should only be ONE possible answer.
Movie stuff, audio stuff or any other adaptation stuff cannot be used. Only stuff (prose and poetry) actually written by JRRT. Christopher's published stuff works, because he is basically an editor of JRRT and he published no original material (that I am aware of).

    Here is example #1:

Riddle: One of the nine-walkers never known to have killed any humanoid.

Answer: Who is Frodo? (question mark optional)

    Example #2.

Riddle: Known to have been a hobbit-beater.

Answer: Who is Farmer Maggot? (From Chapter 4 in The Fellowship Of The Ring: A shortcut To Mushrooms...Farmer maggot beat Frodo when he was a youngster for stealing mushrooms.)

The clarifying statement about the chapter is completely optional, but encouraged.
Simple spelling errors should not matter.
Other rules may be needed, but I hope we can get by with this minimal amount.

So, with all that preliminary crud out of the way, here is the first riddle:

Riddle: The only female dwarf ever mentioned in Tolkien's writing.

edit: I had this as "mentioned in LOTR" but I am not sure that it is mentioned there.

Who is Bullroarer (Bandobras) Took and what is his club?

Took off the head of the goblin chieftain (Golfimbul) with his club which sent it sailing through the air and falling into a rabbit hole.
Won the battle and invented golf at the same time!

Not sure if he was a farmer though.

    That's close enough.
A literal answer would have been "What is two legs?", but the two legs certainly could be attached to a hobbit (or a man, elf...etc).

Just for clarification for the folks that may not know what the heck we are going on about:
This is referring one of the riddles that Bilbo posed to Gollum in The Hobbit chapter: Riddles In The Dark.

Riddle: No-legs lay on one-leg, two-legs sat near on three-legs, four-legs got some.
Answer: Fish on a little table, man at table sitting on a stool, the cat has the bones.

    Your turn!

    Who are Thorin and company?

“Up the trees quick!” cried Gandalf; and they ran to the trees at the edge of the glade, hunting for those that had branches fairly low, or were slender enough to swarm up. They found them as quick as ever they could, you can guess; and up they went as high as ever they could trust the branches. You would have laughed (from a safe distance), if you had seen the dwarves sitting up in the trees with their beards dangling down, like old gentlemen gone cracked and playing at being boys. Fili and Kili were at the top of a tall larch like an enormous Christmas tree. Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, and Gloin were more comfortable in a huge pine with regular branches sticking out at intervals like the spokes of a wheel. Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, and Thorin were in another. Dwalin and Balin had swarmed up a tall slender fir with few branches and were trying to find a place to sit in the greenery of the topmost boughs. Gandalf, who was a good deal taller than the others, had found a tree into which they could not climb, a large pine standing at the very edge of the glade. He was quite hidden in its boughs, but you could see his eyes gleaming in the moon as he peeped out.
And Bilbo? He could not get into any tree, and was scuttling about from trunk to trunk, like a rabbit that has lost its hole and has a dog after it.”

    Excerpt From
    The Hobbit
    J. R. R. Tolkien

And so on. Later on the goblins (and Gandalf) set fire to the trees and they are rescued by the eagles.

Maybe too simple an answer (question) but … "Who is Bilbo?"

examples of his generosity/ santa clauseitivity (I made that up ) include taking in Frodo, throwing the birthday party complete with hobbit presents, presenting the mithril shirt and Sting to Frodo, passing along his books to Frodo ...

    ...when in doubt...twirl...
Crickhollow: Wisa/Weesa, Elvisa/Elvysa and many other Elv's, Reaboj, Sunberry, Altheah, Ooma's and some others. Landroval: Sunnberry, Raynbel, Starberry, Burraberry, Sugarree, Magnolia, and a bunch of others too. Anor: Elviska, Wisa, Elvisa, and more. Laurelin: Sunberry, Wisaberry, Elvisa Gwaihir: Sunberry. Belegaer: Sunberry.
Sirannon: Sunberry. Treebeard: Wisa,Moonberry, Sunberry, Wisaberry, Elvisa and more. Brandywine: Raynberry

    Now you've done it...
I can just hear him coming down the lane behind a sled:

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
Now, Dori!, now, Nori!, now, Ori and Balin!
On, Bifur!, on, Bofur!, on Bombur and Dwalin!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”

Although “clauseitivity” is an amazing word, and Boraxxe’s poem is equally fantastic, it’s not right, sorry

Clue: his gifts caused more trouble than they were worth...

You mean, the gifts would actually enslave people, like Sauron's rings?
