I had characters in A Turn of Events. Sometime between Saturday and this morning, someone sold/abandoned the kinhouse and then disbanded the kinship. I sent a mail to the person who was leader the last time I looked, Slicendice, and he wrote back that "someone" got rid of the kinhouse to get the writs for himself and then passed leadership to him (Slicendice). I suspect that "someone" was Slicendice himself.

I didn't take the kin house but I did kick everyone from the kinship. The server has been dead for several months and leadership didn't bother to try once Regiit left. It was obvious nobody was coming back to the game + multiple people logged in at the same time trying to usurp. A person I am not going to name took leadership just for the writs then passed leadership over to me to do with the kinship as I wish.

It would be nice to still have the discord available as a record of the fun we had with Turn of Events, but unfortunately that got shutdown due to the above unpleasantness. But, for whatever it's worth, I'll just correct a few things here, Lobo.

Regiit was last seen falling off a cliff on a kin expedition to the Walls of Moria barely 2 months into the life of Shadowfax. To say that the leadership didn't bother to try once Regiit left is ridiculous.
Moria was an absolute blast with this kinship, ran so many Watchers and Turtles. At least 6 runs of Dar Narbugud. First time running any of these on level. Got the legendary Moria wrapper finished every week, and ran enough instances to clear the Moria instance deed log. Mirkwood couldn't hope to be as much fun as Moria, but was still a lot of fun. Regiit was missing for over 2 months by this time, but we were still running 5 active raid teams. How many kins on any server could say that? From memory, completed a Barad Guldur or an Ost Dunhoth every week of our time in Mirkwood with possible exception of the last week. Again the first time for me of running these on level, and first time getting BG tier 2 challenge done. Rise of Isengard arrived and there was still plenty happening: running both my toons thru raids now, 2 Draigochs and 2 Tower of Orthancs each week. All of this was possible due to the efforts of Sean and Arin in keeping raids going. When both had to take time away from the game towards end of Isengard, only then was Turn of Events in terminal decline.

Even post Isengard, Shadowfax is far from dead (as long as you are in an active kin.) The core of the Turn of Events raid teams are still around, and having a great time with the Warg Party Bus kin. No-one is going to claim that the Road to Erebor raids are the best in the game, but we still ran them every week. And as I had hoped, and contrary to many peoples predictions, Epic Battles have been a great success. Introduced many new people to Epic Battles, and have been getting the Deeping Wall raid completed every week. Managed to get 1 toon to 200 promo points without the Gondor EBs, and 2nd toon is close. Mixing it up with classic raids has been a lot of fun, Barad Guldur, Tower of Orthanc and Ost Dunhoth all in the past month.

When I compare the absolute blast I have had on this server over the past 11 and half months with that handful of miserable people trying to usurp in order to pocket the housing writs from a crowd-sourced kin-house, I can only shake my head. Hoping so much that no transfers are offered off Shadowfax until at least we get to 130 or preferably to cap, and that even then they are PAID transfers. At least then your mystery friend will have to cough up some cash to make use of those housing writs.
In the meantime, there is still so much fun to be had on this server. Throne of Dread Terror, Abyss of Mordath, Anvil of Winterstith, Remmorchant, looking forward to (and fully expecting to) run these each and every week of our time at these level caps.

All the aboard the Warg Party Bus. Departing Dunharrow in 2 weeks destination Minas Tirith.

Regiit abandoned There and Back Again on Anor, too. I honestly didn't think he would stick with A Turn of Events.

Heya Lobo, haven't seen a follow up from you on this thread.
Was going to offer you or your mystery friend a deal: swap you my Original Challenger of Saruman title for a handful of housing writs.

Oh who am i kidding ... enjoy your writs in a year's time.

Gratz on taking 25 levels to get a title. On another note, why are you so bitter about the kinship? You left months ago, nobody ever said anything in the discord that was up (which Regiit/Andriel deleted idk who owned it), officers had a lot of time to take it over but obviously none of them care and on top of that there were SEVERAL people trying to usurp leadership that day. P.S. I never lied about the writs.

(edit) Congratz to the 11 others that cleared T2C Orthanc day 1 on a ninja release! We cut it close with 20 mins until reset but got it done.

Not bitter, having too much fun for that, just poking you for clues. Now that I have your attention, let's go back to your first post here:

Misrepresenting the history of the kin ... attributing intentions to others on the basis of what? projection? ... not naming the person who transferred kin leadership to you after stripping the writs.
Three red flags right there in a 2 line post. Fourth red flag being the fact that you felt the need to take a screenshot of your writ'-free wallet (before this thread occurred and before disbanding the kinship). Looks a lot like the shuffling around of the kinship was designed just for this plausible deniability. If I had to guess who the mystery person was who shuffled the kinship to you, it would be the officer who was ready in discord on the day with his defensiveness on a hair-trigger. But since he is ignoring my DMs, I am poking you instead.

Since the OP of this thread was the person who organized the crowd-funding of the kin-house, I was thinking she might have wanted to comment on this.

But as for me, what I care about is the future of Shadowfax, which is sure to be a subject of discussion over the coming year as we get closer to 130 and eventually to cap. Our mystery friend has been active in the past petitioning on the forums and directly to Cordovan for transfers off of Shadowfax. I'm just wanting to remind him, you, whoever else that if they want to participate in these discussions and misrepresent the history of this server or the Turn of Events kin (as you have here), then I will be around to set the record straight.

Thanks for your congratulations on our victory over Saruman. I will pass that along to the other 4 ex Turn of Event kinnies on the run.
Gotta be in it to win it.

Cheers Lobo for maling me in game.
Rather than just silently edit it out, I'll retract this bit:

This is funny because it took y'all until 100 to beat the raid. Sick flexing your OC title you struggled 25 levels to get.

What I think is funny, is how you all got upset and abandoned an entire kin. I find it funny how you couldn't complete a raid because you couldn't keep people around, and the people who you had who were excellent raiders. THEY came to our kinship because you're poor management. THEY completed the raid because y'all are toxic. Good luck on live being a subpar player in a much bigger pool. I hope you enjoy not being picked for raids, because you don't know how to build a character.

This is some high school level copium from this dude right here.

The kin was full of the most incompetent & sleazy leadership I've seen in a lotro kin. Not to mention they had a male officer who would sexually harass men on discord.

I'm personally glad to see A Turn of Events die on this server. It was kins like this that ruined Shadowfax for so many. Big kins that vacuum up as many people as they can and then try to enforce silly rules to benefit the leadership of the kin only.

My guy I think you got me confused with someone else. I am Rimenbear from Fathom, we did just fine until we got bored. Completed Server First T3 Rift and OD t2c Cluster. I don't know anyone that really stayed around as most of our roster hasn't logged on since 65 cap.

Who was this male officer? I'm just curious cause we heard no complaints in sexual harrassment part.

Let me correct your so called correction. I never abandoned the kinship, i was always there till the end to provide support in the discord and such. I did in fact complete entire Moria. whilst i only raided once in Moria, due to personal issues i'd rather not talk about here.

I did in fact step down as a leader of the Kin, meaning i couldn't provide any worthwhile feedback that the higher ups would take into account. which is totally fine! The idea was to go to landroval and migrate there, as the population would dip to the 10's (!?) but we never fully dedicated our effort there. Very few split to landroval. (including me) and kept casually playing on there for a small amount.

I think our higher ups grew tired of the badly designed legendary server that was shadowfax, with it's population issues. And felt like it wasn't worth the time. which they had every right to feel that way.

all in all. we weren't happy with the server. we didn't fill our raid teams anymore. we couldn't do what we want with a kinship cause of those population issues. sure, we could have been your typical raid kinship like yours. but we wanted to be more social alligned aswell. have events, and such. but again. population denied that.
I am a very welcoming/friendly guy, and love to explore the wonderous world of Middle-Earth, Besides being really slow with leveling.
