Returning Player: How to bring account up to date?

As the title mentions, I'm a returning player that is wondering how to best bring my account up to date. If I'm remembering correctly, expansions are all sold separately and independent of each other. I'm wondering, too, if there if in this day of age there might be a simple way to view all of the items that I've already purchased for my account. Will items that I've already purchased, for instance, show up as being available for my account? I'm about to log in, so I'll, no doubt, see how a few things work in very short order. Before making any major purchases, however, I'm hoping that anyone might answer any of the questions above. Thank you.

Edit: Finally, I'm also planning to start a fresh set of characters that all use the Stone of the Tortoise. Can anyone tell me what expansions and extra side content might be relevant for low levels, please?

There is no easy way to know. You can log into myaccount.standingstonegames to access a list of purchased content, but many players have stated that the information has been left incomplete. If you were wondering about what expansion bonuses your characters receive, you can either create a new character or do a /reclaim to populate your inventory with the items your account should receive. A record of your Lotro point exchanges dating back to the company exchange can be found within the Lotro store "History" tab.

If you are not VIP, then it is very easy to know what you don't have - it shows up in the lotro store. The only expansions that isn't incorporated into the game now is Mordor, Minas Morgul, War of Three Peaks, and Fate of Gundabad. That last one cannot be accessed through VIP. Missions are available that scale to any level through War of Three Peaks & Fate of Gundabad but is not recommended to purchase for that reason alone. The newest expansion, Before the Shadow, will add new 1-30 content. You can check this page here for levels of purchasable quest packs: https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Quest_Packs

Since this is the Free Player Assistance forum, I assume your account is Free-To-Play (F2P) or Premium. If so, all FTP accounts and above have all the content that was released through 20 Nov 2013 – that's up to Helm's Deep and Level 95. Note that this does not include any zones or content released after that date even if intended for levels lower than 95, such as Yondershire, The Angle of Mitheithel, or The Further Adventures of Bilbo Baggins. Note also that you can advance characters past Level 95, you just don't get access to most of the content intended for characters higher than 95.

As WeirdJedi explained, if your account is not currently at VIP status, you can log into the game and enter the in-game store to find out what you have and don't have. If you own something, it won't appear for purchase when you search for it. (There are some exceptions such as different levels of riding skill – for example, be careful to not purchase Apprentice Riding if you already own Journeyman Riding. This is not an issue for expansions and other content, however.) If you want to see if you own Minas Morgul, for example, search for that: If it appears as something you can purchase for LOTRO Points, you do not own it and may purchase it for LOTRO Points if you wish; if it does not appear when you search for it, you own it (or possibly you entered the wrong search term).

When you're VIP, you get "rent" of the Mordor, Minas Morgul, and War of Three Peaks expansions – access to all of them for as long as your account is VIP. In addition, you get "rent" of all non-expansion content including Yondershire, The Angle, and Further Adventures. While your account is at VIP status, you can access all content except for the last expansion which at this time is The Fate of Gundabad. The Fate of Gundabad may be purchased for LOTRO Points in the in-game store or for cash in the web market.

Note that when VIP, it is usually not possible to spend LOTRO Points to purchase an expansion or other content pack which you are currently "renting" as part of the VIP subscription because such things simply won't show up as available for purchase. You can still purchase such things for cash in the web market, however.

If you're going to start a bunch of new characters, you might want to purchase at least one month of VIP after you've created them. Any character logged in – for even a second – while an account is at VIP status receives +30 inventory bag slots and has swift travel outside the starting zones unlocked. Both the extra bag slots and the swift travel access are permanent, even if you subsequently allow your account status to drop from VIP down to Premium. While you can spend LOTRO Points to add inventory bag slots, the only way to fully and permanently unlock swift travel outside the starting zones is by logging in a character while the account is at VIP status.

You can use the /reclaim command on any character as many times as you want. It does not have to be a new character. Just make sure you have bag space when you do it

Seems people here have difficulty to answer your question...

In order to know what you have already purchased you need to click on the lotro store icon, next go to history. There you will see every single lotro coin you purchased\aquired and thefore also all the quests packs, expansions and other items you bought.

Relaying only in the amount of content that you can currently purchase is another way however note that in Dungeon&Dragons I have two expansions which I already acquired and still show up in the store so just in case be sure double check by writing down everything you bought in a text document by checking the history log.

The expansions may show up in your account details too however. But the account details do not tell what specific quests packs you have or not (I may be wrong maybe)

Excuse me but i went through your forums which i would rather say are the least confusing for new players.I currently am a free player and busted my a** for a week completing deeds and have killed thousands of orks.spiders, dead guys to gather the 99 lotro points to buy the minas morgul expansion only to find out that nothing happens.(not to mention another week gathering the points to buy the riding skill)
1.if this content is locked for free players then why would u allow my account to make this purchase?i feel like a fool(probably am)because i wasted a full week of my time and life to buy something that simply doesnt work.
Please respect our time (you should know what it means for a new player trying to raise these lotro points.for me it ment 10 days of 12 and more hours of daily play to get there having my a** busted by orcs and cyclops'es having to retreat and respawn again and again trying to avoid creatures on my path(walking there)that other players simply woudnt care.
Please make a special forum entry for expansions and players with guides and tutorials for newcomers and make it clear what they can do and what they can not.
Not all the people have the means and assets to make online transactions or for Christ's sake make a full version cd and release to stores so people can buy the game.thank you and pardon me if isnt the correct post to say this but i searched your forums the whole internet and came up only with confusion.

Before it's too late, be sure to use the FREEQUESTS2022 code in the in-game store. That'll get you all but the most recent content.

If you purchased the Minas Morgul expansion quest pack at its current sale price of 99 LOTRO Points it is added to your account, permanently. That zone and the quests associated with it are for characters level 120-130. Nothing is locked, but this is a pretty typical MMO where in addition to owning/having access to the content your character has to be able to get there and be advanced enough (i.e. be a high enough level) to be able to tackle the monsters and other challenges there. If your character isn’t high enough level, don’t worry, you’ll get there eventually. There’s a lot of fun game between Level 1 and Level 120, though, and you will want to enjoy all of it! Don’t rush.

There are many player-created guides to assist those who want to earn LOTRO Points efficiently. You can earn 100 LP in 3-4 hours if you focus on earning the points and don’t get distracted by other things. Some people can earn nearly 100 LP per hour. Go to YouTube and look for the channel “Zogog” as he is fun to watch and has an ongoing “LOTRO From Scratch” series where he plays a purely free-to-play account, doesn’t take advantage of any sales or giveaways, and demonstrates effective LP farming.

A single month of a VIP subscription will give you 500 LP, lots of great benefits added permanently to your account and to each character you log in during your VIP month, and costs only $15. It is the single best thing in this game on which to spend a tiny amount of real money.

If you really want to grind points for free, the 3 starter zones are the fastest and easiest way. keep one chracter slot free for making new farmers. Easily a couple hundred points in a few hrs. delete character, rinse and repeat
