Select your LOTRO bottle. Choose “Run Command…” Find your songbook.exe file (or whatever its name might be) and run it. You can also use “Run Command…” to create a “launcher” – a launcher is an icon in your Crossover window which you can double-click to run the .exe without having to use “Run Command…” each time.

Thank you both- I needed some hint to move to the next stage. Crossover was worth it, though unlike what they told us, the old version still run on my anncient 2011 MacBook PRO!
How do you install Plugin Compendium when you are running LoTRO via Crossover??
When I tried to run the Setup.exe file from Plugin Compendium in the Crossover Lotro bottle, I got the following message:
Setup has detected that the file C/usersicrossover \TempiN5D6e93, tmpiDotNetFX472\NDP472-
KB4054531-Web.exel has changed since it was initially published. Click ok to retry the download, or Cancel to exit setup.
Not being very computer literate, do I click OK to retry the download or did I do something wrong?
Thank you in advance!
"I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. The dark fire will not avail you here, flame of Udûn. You cannot pass."
Use the Java version of PluginCompendium which is designed to work on Mac and Linux. I created full instructions here:

On the other hand, installing LOTRO plugins manually is so easy I really can't recommend using a third-party application to do such a simple job. But I tested it and it works so if that's what you prefer, well, there you go.
edit: And just to be really clear, neither Plugin Compendium nor the Songbook executable are plugins. They are applications. LOTRO plugins are files full of code which run inside the LOTRO application.
