    The new Greenhouses

Hey everyone, nice job on the new greenhouses, they look really nice but there is one major issue with them, they are empty. Yards have so few hooks to begin with did no one think hey, players can enter this new building let's put some hooks in it for them?
Still great job on the new greenhouses but poor player support for it.

I also wish we could actually go inside. There's a wide open doorway but it has an invisible wall.

Seriously? That's hilarious, I've been holding off on spending figs waiting for the curator. Glad I didn't waste them on this.

They only add a handful of new items every 3 months. You think they'd manage to get that right.

You can go inside the big one but it's empty. Great idea with plenty of hooks that could be used to fill it but as OP said, not enough hooks and yard hooks can't be bunched together.

I made a thread about that same Issue: https://forums.lotro.com/forums/show...ardening-items

Now to the issue... I don't know if this is intended but these 2 new items that are traded with figments or drop from lootboxes, seems to be unintentionally smaller than should be. They are really awesome looking & because that i seriously love to use them, but their size seems to be miscalculated & that defeat the purpose of for what i want them. Those items are the Alchemist spiraled stair that is not climbable not even by small folks like hobbitses & the Glass Greehouse that the door gate is too low even for a hobbit on its knees. Not saying that those items are useless but if the devs can make them a bit bigger, will be awesome.

On a related note some other older house decorations like the spring festival planters that are gondorian style & the hobbit style letters box that can be acquired at Yondershire are way too small even for what they represent & really could use some resizing.

I hope that the devs really consider doing this, thanks ahead!
Like other player posted, the size issue is on the small greenhouse, The big greenhouse you can go inside. I think that those 2 building are empty inside so you can drag your choice of planters to the indoors area.

I would've liked to see "full" and "empty" versions then. Most housing yards don't have nearly enough yard hooks to fill a greenhouse of that size. The only place you could make it look good is the upper balconies of Erebor housing that have a lot more universal slots. Those are all inside a mountain, of course. It gets much more limited in Rohan, Gondor, and classic housing.

    Cheers!

For me, it would be better when the Devs would concentrate on more urgent issues as housing items. Not because I don't like them, but because there are already too many in the game. Even if I would own 10 houses, I could decorate all of them unique with "no 2 times the same item" approach in mind.

Beautiful furniture item with no use unfortunately. Thanks to the original OP for letting us know that it is not exactly what it appears to be.

I strongly disagree. I struggled to fill my Erebor home because most housing items are simply too small or not very good. The amount of space in a house relative to the size of most items coupled with the very low number of hooks available disqualifies a great wealth of items from being viable. There's lots of small food items for example like https://en.dcodumilieu.fr/pedestal-plate-of-lembas/, but to actually fill up a table with them would leave the rest of your house empty given the hook cost. And even just using 1 such item feels like a serious loss in terms of hooks to empty space ratio.

Personal example, I spent months farming Saruman's rings and once I finally got them...I don't actually use them! They're too damn small, despite being the rarest housing item I own they're in my vault and not my house.

...and today I bartered for the new staircase from Myrtle Mint. You can't actually walk up it, it's too small or there's invis walls, but either way it can't be used. +1 useless items.

Most housing items are just recycled assets too. They can't possibly be a lot of work to add to the game.

I prefer interesting bigger/exposed items (not necessarily giant) because anything else - for example, a plate, a mug, a standard looking shelf - is just a WASTE of a hook space. That's unfortunate truth, I know there are people who want to, like, make their perfect wardrobe or kitchen rooms, which is why they want these smaller highly specific items with differently looking plates or chairs, but such items I never find any use for and they seem like waste of hooks.

I wish we had a large yard (like Gondor or even larger - think like Gondor, but more consolidated in a single spacey square) and able to move hooks around like in Erebor. Plus structure items and yard-allowed stair items. Builder dream come true! Hopefully the devs have such plans on the horizon... so I guess the greenhouse item will come in handy then Would be cool to turn our yards into little towns or keeps. Though the house itself, in such a neighborhood, would need to be somewhat neutral looking I guess? Unless we could just... cover it up with yard structures to get a desired look, now that would work too!

I have the big greenhouse at my premerion house and was able to move it so my small yard hook with a vegetable garden is now inside the greenhouse

    Exclamation

Another thing that those lovely looking new house decorations that cost figments brings back to the scene, is the currency caps. Those items & the new vivid essences have a huge cost, that combined with the currency cap, make them a pain to acquire. Can the devs please remove those currency caps for good? Currency caps make no sence. They make people feel frustrated & frustrated people quit doing the content that reward the currency that gives them to acquire such items, That can't be a positive thing!
