I despised Bill Ferny when I first read the books and the feeling hasn't changed over the years. When I see Bill near his farm I always have the urge to throw a bad apple in his face similar to Sam's accurate throw.
Definitely a character that needed to be in the game. I really felt odd going to see him for the Adso quest.
