So the first round is complete and thanks to everyone who sent us an entry. We will announce the winner as soon as they have been selected. The next round begins with a new subject, monster play.

Have fun!

Turbine is hosting a Motivational Poster contest! We want to see your most inspirational LOTRO-themed motivational posters; we’ll provide the title and the template, you provide the image and caption! Make them as serious or as funny as you like. The winners will receive a custom forum title on the LOTRO forums (“The Motivator”), and their posters will be featured in LOTRO.com’s new Motivational Poster gallery! Each week we’ll be looking for a different theme for the posters.
This week’s category is: monster play

Base your poster on anything LOTRO related. Entries must be created using the provided template (click here to download a .psd for photoshop, and here for a .jpg format).

The Motivational Poster contest runs from September 2nd to September 16th. Entries must be received by Turbine by 11:59PM Eastern on the Tuesday following each category’s announcement.

Here are some tips for taking screenshots to use in your poster:

  • The number pad or right mouse button can be used to adjust the camera angle
  • CTRL-P/Print Screen takes your screenshot
  • Screenshots are stored in My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online
  • F12 will remove the UI, and N will remove floaty names
