    Elrond bugs me. As far as I can tell, the whole ongoing fight against Sauron is a result of him not acting when Isildor refused to throw the ring into Mt Doom. I'm sure he could have forced the issue or killed Isildor. He knew without a doubt what needed to be done and failed to do it.

    Wow... call a guy out why don't you... Good thing you weren't at the council of Elrond (Fellowship of the Ring). Could have been uncomfortable...

    Elrond: I have summoned you to this council...

    While I can understand the feeling, the bearer of the ring has proven to be quite difficult to kill, historically. Perhaps he tried, and Isildor just put it on and ran away.
