Just wondering.
Just wondering.
As stated many times, not many at all. Most of the originals from release are still here and working.
Heh, I interpreted the question as "How many original developers [are] left?" whereas Berephon obviously interpreted it as "How many original developers [have] left?"
In any case, thanks for the info, Berephon! As one of the F2P newcomers, I am encountering LotRO's majestic vistas and delightful quests for the first time, and it gladdens my heart to know that the team who brought Tolkien's words to life remains largely intact.
HEY! Person with the Blue Name! Quit responding to threads that have very little value and work on new content. It's been nearly 1.5 years and all we've seen are festivals come and go.

He moved to a new project a bit over a year ago now. Hakai left in 2009... he'd been working on MEO and LOTRO for about 7 years prior to that, starting with a concept project to try and land the MEO contract to begin with, so it wasn't any great surprise he'd want to work on something else.

In addition to:
Cirra Ceemstress, 72 Hobbit Hunter
Cyrawyn, 75 Woman Captain
Keharra Thistleknott, 38 Hobbit Warden
Kyari, 43 Elf Runekeeper
Kyradriel, 37 Elf Loremaster
Kyrafern, 29 Woman Champion
Kyre Thistleknott, 29 Hobbit Burglar
Keralin, 28 Hobbit Guardian
Except, I think he was posting too much and the Powers That Be figured out that maybe he doesn't have enough to do. I say this because he mentioned dabbling in adding Content and his posting dropped off about that same time. Could just be a coincidence.
Am I completely misremembering or did Berephon mention a quest hub or something that he worked on?

I wish to say thanks for the post Berephon.
But as always not matter what you do someone complains. Man I am glad I am not a Dev. i think I would take all these posts way too seriously and sooner or later everyone would be banned forever.![]()
I wonder what IS behind that waterfall?
The Player Council knows!
Oh, hush. As someone on these forums once said (unfortunately I've forgotten who), LotRO has more content than a SuperMegaDoubleStuffedQuesadil laBurger. My husband and I still haven't gotten past II.5.5, because we can't get a fellowship together because everyone else who's attempted it remembers how [expletive] impossible it was and how many times they wiped before giving up. Looking forward to the Glorious Day of Nerfing......

Palenen - Elendilmir - The royal gem of Arnor - "May you 'Jingle Jangle' into the West." <- This was even messed up too.
I miss Floon; his quirky posts always made me smile.

Some must fight, so that all may be free.
Agreed. I know some people didn't agree with the way he handled the forums, but he always told the truth when people asked for it, which is admirable seeing as sometimes the answer wasn't always what we wanted to hear.
I remember one quote of his (I've seen some people use it in their sigs actually) that he said in reply to one of "OMG my spear is clipping through my shield, the devs are totally incompetent!" threads. Don't remember the exact wording, but it was brilliant.

Yep, there's a Floonism! Comments like that never failed to make me laugh out loud- for real, because they so bluntly said what needed to be said. I understand why he (and Orien and some of the others) don't post as often, if at all, but they are missed on the forums. It's really to bad how some of them were treated when they did post though.
