How Are Lottery Winners Chosen?

Greetings. As an avid lottery player and often loser, I was wondering how winners are chosen? Not that I expect to increase my chances of winning :-) I was just curious of the system operation. Is there the same number of, say, "death cheese" offered in any one lottery as something more valuable like a Symbol of Celembrimbor? I do seem to collect a large amount of cheese to go with my fireworks :-)

From what I understand they're able to set who can enter the lottery (by level/class) and how many winners there are for each lottery. So there can be more winners for a low-profile items like the 'Wine of the Day' or 'Death Cheese' versus, say, Symbols of Celebrimbor.

I assume it uses some sort of generic random selection method to pick winners.

This is my question also, but for another reason. In a lottery we all take our chances. I not only understand this, I accept it, so what I'm about to say is not 'sour grapes', but is instead becoming a concern of mine. When I enter the lotteries, I enter all my characters on both my VIP account and my free account. Fine. My VIP account has one character who won a lottery back in December, my free account has one character who has won two lotteries in that time. Good odds, I think.

My brother has one character who has won six times in the last two months. And I'm talking the weekend lotteries, not the other quicky ones. How is this possible? I know there is no cheating going on because I do his entering for him.

So although he and I laugh about it, I am still left scratching my head and saying 'What?'

It is a random drawing - some you hit and others you do not. Make sure to play often. In addition, the more toons you have the better your chances will be.

I just won my first Symbol of Celebrimbor after my 3rd of 4th attempt in similar lotteries.

Actually I use photos I download from the web and cross match to your account info. But, same effect.

You have to think in reverse - he is hitting it with a dart! Can't use a cute kid or a good looking kitten, he would subconsciously never want to hurt them! That's why I win so often, just not the horse - Sapience needs to practise that little wrist-movement ...
