So I've been thinking about getting a server transfer from ARK to Crickhollow. Are there any known bugs or things I should know about that happen before I do this? Thanks in advance guys

I'm pretty sure that character are not allowed to transfer to Crickhollow at this time (no transfers to the four new servers or Landroval, Brandywine, or Elendmir). No clues as to if/when they will open up either.
Nope...no incoming servers transfers to Crickhollow are allowed at this time.
I actually inquired about this yesterday in the account support forum:

Sapience also restated just a week ago that they have "no plans" to change their server transfer policy: no transfers to Brandywine, Elendilmir, Landroval, Imladris, Crickhollow, Dwarrowdelf, or Riddermark. That doesn't mean "never", but it probably means it isn't going to change for at least 6 months. Maybe a year or more.

Could I transfer my Crickhollow Chars to Arkenstone then? Or are transfers both to and from Crickhollow not allowed.

Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
You should be able to transfer off Crickhollow onto Arkenstone. There are no restrictions transfering characters to Arkenstone currently. Welcome to Arkenstone!!
Only incoming transfers are prohibited, you may transfer off Crickhollow if you wish. However, you should be aware that other servers may also not allow incoming transfers.

Be Excellent To Each Other
As far as I'm concerned, rolling new characters is always the right way to go... for one thing, your character on the old server will still be there if you get into trouble on the new server, or if you just want to hang with your old buddies, like attending concerts in the Shire on Landroval... all transfers are one-way. I have just as much fun playing the early levels as the end-game stuff, and there are now enough paths that you don't have to do the same thing every time.

I just re-incarnated my original main onto one of the new servers and I can tell you, it was one of the best things I have done in this game. I can also attest that Turbine's policy of not allowing character transfer from some of the older servers is a VERY GOOD idea.
1. I got to enjoy leveling a character whom I had no idea how to play correctly the first time around. I actually knew what the skills were when they became available.
2. The newer servers are surprising free of some of the same old negativity that has pervaded, or invaded, the older servers. The chat channels have the same clowns that you get on all servers yet they are not dominated by some of the old jaded veterans.
3. People on the new servers don't always know how to do a lot of the things in the game that many of us take for granted, and seem genuinely open to help from experienced players. I don't think this should be a reason for you to go to a new channel and arrogantly proclaim yourself 'king' though - humility is appreciated.
4. On the other hand, in converse to #3, the new servers also seem to figure out new ways of doing things that may surprise even the most seasoned veteran. Servers can get stuck in old patterns of "THIS is the ONLY way this should be done" and not be open to new approaches.
This said, I REALLY, REALLY hope that Turbine does NOT change their current stance and allow people to transfer to the new servers. The experience is very refreshing for an old-timer like myself and I want it to stay that way!

I'd like to see some limited transfers allowed to Imladris.
Open up transfers for players who have a level 50+ character on Imladris to transfer characters of theirs from other servers. Allow this for a week or two. These players already understand the community of Imladris, so allowing them to transfer some of their characters from other servers should do zero harm to the Imladris community.
If you're worried about economic issues, only allow them to transfer with some maximum amount of gold (perhaps 50-100g) and only what is in their bags (i.e. no vault storage or housing escrow/storage.)

It's seems like they RECENTLY added this. Here is an example of how turbine are full of Orc filth.
Soon as character undelete came I got my player undeleted. It also said if u wish to transfer your character after to another server you can. So I thought I get my undeleted player and move him to brandywine.
Oh the mess. I actually stated - just in case - that unless I can move to brandywine please dont undelete. So they go ahead and undelete. Then after taking my fee they tell me they can't move it to brandywine. After a few emails and realising they had made a mistake I got a very nice mail saying they had looked into the matter and they will move my player to brandywine.
I thought great stuff.
I then get a mail the next day saying they can't transfer to brandywine due to a bug and there is no ETA as to when they can move my player.
Then they stick up that notice. I told them if I had known I would not have paid for character undelete.
So I ask for a refund. No refund they say. I got all the emails anyway. Telling me they are going to do the transfer then mailing me back next day saying they cant.
So I now I have a player on landroval doing nothing. I think it is a disgrace the way they handled this. I'm happy I'm a founder and never gonna spend money or give money to play this game ever again.
You used to have to pay to get a character undeleted? How much inactivity before a character was "deleted"? (Basically, it was just flagged unusable after some period of time.)
Holy crow, paying for "undeletion". There's a good way of encouraging players who have left not to return to your game.
The game never deletes a character for any level of inactivity.
The person controlling the account had to delete the character in order for them to become deleted. The person must type delete and the characters name to delete. This is not something that can be done without thinking. Yes, there is now a service to retrieve those characters you willingly chose to delete and pull them back to activity. The fact that the service costs seems reasonable to me since it is certainly a situation that can only occur if the user made several choices before deleteing their character.

In addition to:
Cirra Ceemstress, 72 Hobbit Hunter
Cyrawyn, 75 Woman Captain
Keharra Thistleknott, 38 Hobbit Warden
Kyari, 43 Elf Runekeeper
Kyradriel, 37 Elf Loremaster
Kyrafern, 29 Woman Champion
Kyre Thistleknott, 29 Hobbit Burglar
Keralin, 28 Hobbit Guardian
I really wish there was some sort of exception to the rules ...
I have five chars on Brandywine and plan to purchase an additional character slot to start a Loremaster. However I do already have one on another server with a population density of greenland (that or people just log out very quick before I log on) The LM also has his 5 bags, riding trait and all goodies a premium character wouldn't get by default![]()
