Anniversary tokens need help!

Ok, i need to know where to get anniversary tokens. Not the iron, tin, etc. tokens that you use to get the gift boxes. But the gold colored one labeled "Anniversary Token" that can be traded to the games master to get cosmetics and toy windmills etc. Any help?

Two ways:

1) Run the two horse races once a day. One token each

2) Do the beer fight at Thorin's Hall. One token for each completion.

Don't they also randomly drop from high level creatures? I guess if you have a low level character, that might be an issue. Sorry, if that's no help.

They also drop from mobs, don't know if level is an issue:

Why do you say high level creatures?

Every anniversary has mob tiers dropping different tiers of coins, lol.

The OP isn't referring to the tokens that drop from mobs, which they made pretty clear in the post. Yula answered their question already.

Well, some people have gotten them. The gift boxes are just the other tokens. The new ones, for the horse, should be coming off mobs as well (at least according to reports, as mentioned above)

Killed 9 or 10 tomb raiders and 4 wolves in Evendim, no tokens dropped from any of them.

I guess I may have misinterpreted the question. I thought the OP was asking about wanting gold or platinum or ancient silver tokens, rather than iron, etc. If so, then the type of token dropped by mobs appears to be linked to the level of the mobs. But, if there's a separate token you get from events that is the only token useful for what the OP wants, then my comments are moot.

That is a seriously small sample size. I past years I would get a fair number of tokens but only after killing hundreds of mobs.

Yes, mobs do drop tokens:

By the way, on a related note, can you exchange multiple lower level tokens for higher level ones at exchange vendors?

I've spent the last few hours grinding virtues for my alts. Completed wolf slayer advanced in Trollshaws (360 wolves), salamander slayer advanced in Evendim (360 salamanders) and snow beast slayer advanced in Misty Mountains. (360 snow beasts)

I have yet to see any of the anniversary tokens drop.

Wow. Yeah. Maybe wrong mobs? Orc/goblin-type mobs, maybe?

One theory is that 'Anniversary tokens' require an on-level mob like an offensive class deed would; Still looking for detailed information about confirmed drops.

The old-style metal tokens (Tin through Ancient Gold) drop from mobs and go directly into your barter wallet. These can be exchanged for gift boxes from a Keeper of Gifts npc in most towns.

The new anniversary tokens you can get from the two horse races (Bree-land and Shire festival grounds) instead of a race token if you prefer. You can also get them from the Thorin's Hall beer fight. They also go directly into your barter wallet, and can be exchanged for cosmetic items (20 tokens/item mostly) from the Games Master npc in most towns, or for the new horse (3 race tokens + 30 anniversary tokens) from Hengstacer farm.

Twitter has confirmed reports about the new anniversary tokens dropping (rarely) on world-mobs, but no further information about the character or circumstances under which they were obtained.

personally I think this is a good start but turbine should proably consider adding some new events, getting eneugh tokens to get much of worth is gonna be tricky with a single event after all

AFAIK, the tokens are only for horse mounts (the new ones). The normal tokens are for the bartered goods, unless someone's checked the barter npc and can say otherwise.

Haven't checked out any other locations yet, but in Michel Delving, standing next to the Keeper of the Gifts is a Games Master, who will accept the special tokens for some new yard decorations, a new cloak, a new robe, and a new dress, all of which look pretty cool (well, the clothes at least, haven't actually seen the yard decorations yet!)

The cosmetic and housing items need 20 tokens each. Getting enough tokens for them is going to be a pain.

There are a lot of different kinds of Anniversary Tokens. The ones for the Windmill or the horsie are not found on mob corpses.
