Greetings,
So, don't you hate it when you want to explore/enjoy the world, and monsters attack you? There is so much to see, and time is precious. I think it's obvious that there needs to be a toggle for whether or not monsters attack you. Some people enjoy monsters attacking you, but most people would probably prefer them not, and it doesn't make sense for them to attack you if you don't want them to. It would really be much better if you could just turn off monster attacks.
It has already ruined Isengard for me, because I can't scour every brick of the place without being having to fight a troll or orc or something.
Some players might say that you need to deal with it, because only monsters within 5 (or so) levels attack you. Well, that's not good enough. The most exciting/newer areas, where all the people are, are almost always within 5 (or so) levels of you, and those are the areas where it's most important that you not be attacked. Wouldn't you rather have the ability to turn off monster attacks than get a new instance cluster in December?
If we must be subjected to these monster attacks, why not at least give us a deed for being hit by them?
