    Time to move on

    Items Ordered
1 of: Star Wars: The Old Republic [Video Game]
    Condition: New

PM me or post here if you are going to SWTOR so we can team up

This Lootbox/Lucky Key thing has pushed me away from this game

New skins should have been free but we have to gamble TP for them?

    I dont think so

Why not live up to your challenge, face someone and then delete?

You'll be back. People don't make self-aggrandizing posts announcing their departure unless they care about the game and/or the people in it. People who care eventually come back.

See you in 2012 when you need the PvP fix that SWTOR will not provide.

I pre-ordered it, spent today playing up to level 12 on a Sith Inquisitor/Assassin, and I've already figured out how horrible that game is going to be. Flat out terrible. I mean, just awful. It's like Tabula Rasa except twice as dull and wholly unoriginal.

That'd be a clever retort except well, I obviously don't PvP very much. So clearly that's not a factor.

    Try again sweetheart.

Yet you feel qualified to judge a PVP game (SWTOR) as no good

Because recent inactivity doesn't invalidate my past experience.

Yeah, I canceled my pre-order and deleted the beta shortly after my 4th lvl 50.

The pvp is a train wreck (my sith juggernaut pvp build was HYSTERICAL... 30 pts into tank tree, 11 into utility for extra gap closer. Could stunlock for around 20 seconds). DR and post-CC immunity are needed BADLY.

The pve storyline is, well i guess fun enough the first time through. The sith warrior storyline was honestly my favorite of the ones I saw (played sith warrior, bounty hunter, jedi sage and smuggler). The game was very much a successor to wow. Skill rotations in pve were very stale by the time I hit level 20 (for the warrior, my standard "i'm killing this mob" skill play order didn't change from about level 18 all the way to 50).

There is a severe lack of branching options for the order you play the planets. Your class quest dictates doing everything in the same order on every playthrough... and is honestly a TINY portion of the quests once you get past the starting planet. So you end up running the same side quests in the same order (because your class quest takes you from side-quest hub to side-quest hub steady as she goes).

The branching dialogue choices are a nice addition to standard MMO quests, and there are some great options. The personal story, personal ship, companions are all good features (though the companions really make open world pvp kind of silly). But these are all window dressings. The core game is basically WoW with lightsabers.

For a first MMO for the studio, it's not a half bad game and I would fully recommend it to anyone who enjoys pve leveling. The endgame and pvp are both really weak points, but both are areas that can be fixed. The honest truth though, is that from a pvp perspective if you want the sort of instanced small scale fights SWTOR offers, you have MANY better options... many of which are completely free (league of legends).

Got to lvl 12 and figured all that out? I mean you barely got out of the starter zone lol. Game hasn't even launched yet...(yes early access) but there are still changes bound to happen... I'm personally enjoying it, guess everyone has a preference.
