[Summer Fun 2012] The Pony Express

We are holding a relay race called the Pony Express on 7/6/2012 at 8:00PM (server time) that will start at Suri-Kyla and end up at the Prancing Pony. Like the famous Pony Express of the 19th century, the teams will have to deliver a package (a common item provided at the starting line) to a distant location.

Once the players sign up on our event calendar we will make teams right before the event. The starters will meet and race on horses from Suri-Kyla to Pynti-Peldot, where they'll have to dismount, open a trade window with the next person on their team, and transfer the package. The group of second riders will then gallop towards Kauppa-Kohta where they'll repeat the transfer process. Subsequent racers will make their way to Esteldin, then to the Prancing Pony in Bree. All racers will be in Raid mode so we can watch them progress across the map. We have a big celebration planned at the Pony at the conclusion of the race, and as always, the prizes are quite impressive.

This looks like great fun. I'd do it, but I am a total klutz. Any team that had me would have a serious handicap. I'll be there to cheer the winners and participants.

where is this calendar to sign up? and can we sign up with some friends as a team?

Considering the event is tomorrow, I would really like some more information on this.
I'll be there just in case, but I wouldn't like it to be a wild goose chase...

It would be nice to see some kind of commitment from the organization.

Did it happen? How was it? Any report?

I didn't go either, got caught up with things here at home.
I'm guessing the calendar that is referred to is the one on the Osgiliath Guard's site/forum, which is only accessible by members. Would still like to know how it went, and hope next time I can perhaps have a go myself.
